    What's there to discuss? The Lord has clearly stated in a language that any fool could understand. The homosexual act is an abomination in the eyes of the Lord your God. And that any who engage in such, shall be put to death. In the new testament, that punishment is only put off until your physical death. Giving you time to repent. If not, you will be judged, eternally. The Lord you God does not take into account what the world says. Obey His Laws. Period. It's up to you, Believe God or believe man. The ball's in your court. Either way, you will give an account for your actions.

      Do you wear polyester or any kind of synthetic fabric? If so, then by God, you are not obeying his laws. The Bible was a book that was written by man and while it is a great tome, if we're going to obey by His laws, then we're gonna have to really read Leviticus and buckle down on some of the things that modern man takes for granted. Otherwise we're all going to burn.

      It is these kinds of comments that make me turn away from "religion" and truly inspire me to seek God on my own terms. Without some of this right-wing nut-job lingo that you all employ. I love my gay friends and I believe in God. Who are we to judge?

      Eating shrimp is the same type of abominations, as is wearing linen and wool in the same garment. And worshippping a man a s a god is worse.

      But since it is all man-made and created garbage it does not matter.

      There is nothing to "give an account for" as there is no god.

    Homosexuals should not be aloud to spend time with children and corrupt there minds. Homosexuality is just as wrong as Murder they are both depraved sick crimes against what is natural.
    Both these crimes fly in the face of what is normal decient human behavior.
    Anyone that supports homosexual activity is a contributor to it.
    Homosexuality is wrong.
    Its is not diversity it is perverisity
    They should be given the mental help they need.
    It is not about left or right wing politics its about right and wrong.
    Homosexuality is wrong and always will be just because you say its not does not mean its true.
    Hate what is bad not the individual only the crime.

    What's to discuss? The Lord already stated in very clear lauguage that even a fool could understand. The act of homosexual conduct is an abomination in the sight of the Lord your God. The penally is death. In the new testament, punishment is only put off until your physical death, giving you time to repent. And if not, Then you will be judged for it. It doesn't matter what the world says, it's an abomination to God and you will stand injudgment. Period.

    Not everyone accepts gays but gays keep trying to push their statement that they are accepted everywhere by everyone. If females want to look goofy in mens clothes that is their business but do not push your gay life on me. Most gay females are gay because they are so ugly that no men will have them anyway. The press needs to stop giving so much attention to the fat and ugly woman who recently left THE VIEW, can not think of her name. Need to go back to the fifties when they used to take care of the gays properly.

    This says that two shall become one, not 3 or 4 shall become one
    It's generally understood that the Old Testament laws regarding multiple marriages were in place to populate the world. These laws were done away with in the New Testament.

      Sorry but the New Testament is not capable of doing away with anything in the TaNaKH. And as usual you are reading a single line not the entire idea, which the hallmark of the fool. They are discussing what happens with EACH individual union. There could be multiple unions. And they were not meant to populate the world. That is just more ignorant Christuian misunderstanding.

      Now mind you I am not saying that the US should acknowledge polygamous marriages, but it Is in the TaNaKh and the book of lies called the NT have no bearing on that book.

    I was 3 years old when I first realized it: I was a polygamist. When it started I just thought I was a bigamist. Later on I realized, I was at least a trigamist. By junior high it was evident. No mater what the Bible said about a man and his wife I couldn't be satisfied with one woman. Some of my friends would breed either a man or a woman. Some would mate with any living mammal. Not me, I was born a polygamist. You can't help what you were born.

      Actually everyone is bonr a polygamits. That is why men and women are capable of having sex with more than one person. Especially men who can impregnate as many women who will let them. Big deal. And the OT actually allows for more than one wife, so the men who created your god and your bible must have been in favor of it. Or more likely they simply wanted to get their rocks off as often as possible. Religious horn dogs. Woof woof woof.

    In response to the comments about the Christian universities' rights to uphold their morals, core values, and enforce their code of conduct, I am wondering how that works when they receive $$$ from the federal government in terms of grants, student aid relationships, etc. Are they guilty of discrimination if they enforce their religious-based policies and restrict gay students and gay groups on their campuses? Just asking...

    Interesting article in light of Anna Quindlen's editorial last week. If it's gay kids on some of the most conservative college campuses in the nation are finally seeking "official" acceptance, clearly homosexuality will soon be seen as a variation rather than a deviation. There is a dramatic generational shift surrounding homosexuality. Despite what their parents feel, the kids don't care!

    I find it ridiculous that religious colleges even exist. Religion and education ought to be completely seperate. Though I do advocate a comprehensive teaching of main religion that so many Americans lack, and that breeds to their ignorance. Anyway, aother thought that these chrisitan colleges are so pure, and untouched is in my opinion totally bogus. Anyone can say from their highschool days that the kids from private Christian schools were some of the most impure kids you knew. And even if the homosexuals can't havea group, they're still going to be gayy, lezbian, or bi. What difference does it make if they can have a group or not?

    The Christian universities just have to uphold their morals and core values on which they stand, and are built in the first place. If they think that the organization of gay groups will contradict these values, it is just right to keep their integrity. But that doesn't mean that they are denying the existence of homosexuality. As humans, they (gays and lesbians) also have their rights and, along with that, responsibity. I'm sure there are other places where gay groups are allowed to organize.

    nobody denies the existence of homosexuality. they just can't can't organize gay groups in such organizations mentioned in the article because gay groups contradict these organizations' values, on which the organizations stand and are built on in the first place. it's just right for them (the organizations, whether they be universities, companies, groups, etc.) to uphold their integrity and identity but it doesn't mean they are rejecting any certain race, people, beliefs, whatsoever. if gays and lesbians would want to organize, they should also put themselves in the right place. there are other places where gay groups are allowed; i'm sure they are free to organize there.

    I've read Andy Swenson's comments on gays coming out on Campus and all over to be seen and heard. This is quite fine as God's children we want to be heard and loved by all. The world needs everyone to keep hateful issues like war, drugs and alcohol and teachings to youth that I don't think being "gay" even top the ranks of other imminent dangers in our society.
