Ease up Jack999 -- whenever you want to make an argument about which candidate is more educated, be sure to use good grammar. I've read your post twice and I still can't make much sense of it. Proofread it and re-post, or you end up making yourself look like... the one who didn't go to college.

How DARE you accept the government's inflation rate! Either you are ignorant of the facts or you are in cahoots with them to fool the public! Check out Harper's magazine's charts showing the REAL inflation rate....it ain't pretty!

Bad lies and mistakes from Bush has made our country the worst it has ever been. As soon as we get Obama in office, we will see a change for the better. Thanks Bush, you dick!

Jerk, ignorant like you don't know waht they are talking about it...You watch to much liberal network from the crooks that endorse the pathetic Democratic Party already labeled as the "The New Communist Party Of USA " ran by Muslin Obama "OSAMA" who by the eay does not mention ever how he is going to fix the economy ruined by his own party that voted against George Bush and McCain in drilling in Alaska or the Gulf Of Mexico. Price of gas control the economy and Obama prefer no pumping gas in the USAso he can benefit the two peopel that he admires so much. The crazy Iranian Dictator "MUSLIN" and Hugo Chavez.. I wonder how many maniacs that Obama associate with will be part of his cabinet. If Obama is elected we will have the first American version of Hugo Chavez ruining the country and all terrorists will get protection from Obama because he shares their values and religion. You can also thank Bill Clinton for boosting China's economy and allowing the 19 terrorists of 911 to come to the United Sates with vacationist visas and did the damage they did. He was also too busy chasing women in the white house instead of hunting for Osama in Agahanistan. Yes the same Osama he helped fith the Russians.

      Shame on you.

Actually, Clinton was not even in office when we were helping the Afghanis with the Russians, that was Reagan and Bush 1. Get the history straight.

As for the rest of your post, it sounds like a paranoid rant.

MUSLIN is a type of finely-woven cotton fabric , introduced to Europe from the Middle East in the 17th century .

A MUSLIM is an adherent of the religion of Islam .

Please try to use the correct term. It only makes you look foolish to call someone a piece of cloth.

John McCain are major Lobbyist Horse Back riding Candidate

It doesnt make any sense of intelligent arguments at all,
Im wondering why someone with only High School Education background can be better President than those who's having a PHD education like Obama. As he is constitution scholar? While John McCain stand as Candidate in 2008 not even university graduate to be a President.Even Abraham Lincoln, our 16th President of the United States 1861-1865,a Republican, was a Graduated in Law when he was the President.

The Problem is the Federal Reserve is lending money to banks at 2% who are not lending money to consumers or businesses but to speculators who have been trading gold, oil and other comodities. This is driving the US dollar further down and strangling the US economy while not solving the "liquidity crisis" in the housing market. Banks will take record writedowns at the expense of the taxpayers and foreclose on many properties before driving prices up high and making record profits again.

These people should be taken out to the center of town and executed for treason.

I still can't get over the idea that we are at a point when "the lake turns over", a phenomenon where somehow once in a while, the cold water at the bottom of a deep lake boils up and the warmer water on the top goes to the depths. A big change. It covers the whole range from our attitude toward war to the way to handle our economy and a lot of stuff in between. It was the brilliance of the Obama campaign to use the word, "change", as their clarion call. The others tried to copy him, even the one running on the ticket of the party in power, but they were too late. Lots of young people coming in. Hope for the good and we'll probably see it.

    • Posted By: mariethomson @ 06/08/2008 11:05:17 PM

Hitler too called for change. He was charismatic and considered handsome! The change he brought was disaster to the whole world. Obama has the same potential with his sleazy relations with Rezko (convicted this week), Ayers, Khalidi, Rev. Wright, Farrakhan, PLO, Hamas, Iran, Dorn, Odinga, Ogongo his terrorist linked brother and of course the "Lovely" snitty little Michelle. CHANGE to more taxes, less freedom, more companies escaping overseas, less jobs more recession into depression if not a take over by Terrorists or rogue nations as Obama is planning on doing away with the missile defense (another successful test this week) that keeps you safe at night (especially those of us on the West coast in the reach of N. Korea etc.), stripping our nuclear capability and in short leaving us defenseless in a hostile world. Unilateral disarmament is called SURRENDER!! Voters better get a clue about this guy and his change before all us girls are wearing Burkas and worse!

      • Posted By: angelus1967 @ 06/09/2008 3:55:53 PM

mariethomson - somehow I doubt that your gllom and doom picture will come about. The Preesident does NOT unilaterally run the country. They can propose policy and, in a l;imited fashion, enact some of thier own. But, and it's a huge but, Obama would have to run several of the things you say he proposing through Congress and many of them don't havea snowballs chance in hell of passing.
And comparing Obama to Hitler is a cheap and sleezy thing to do. But that's what we have come to expect from Repubs.

  • Posted By: Want A Change @ 06/09/2008 2:45:36 PM

I can't wait until the Rabid Right takes a big-Ol-bite of humiliation pie when Obama wins in November. The best thing that could happen to the Republicans is to see that all the Fear Mongering, Racial Slurring and Hate Speech has not swayed the over-whelming centrists in this country. We are not moved by fear, hate and promises of "stay the course", we want change, meaningful change, and I can't wait for the day to come when wealth and power in this country have to submit to the will of the people. Bush has served is Base of Wealth and Power very nicely for 8 years, now it's time to switch gears and make the rich pay their fair share and let the middle class grow.

It's about time we have a Black, Muslim man for President: that will send the Rabid Right running for years to come.

Notwithstanding all the true negative events that have occurred over the past year, the media including this article have CREATED what we are experiencing - naturally with all of the negative articles, what industry would start to plan to buck the trend and plan for a reversal thereby hiring workers and building new plants. You have to be mad (insane) to go against these downward statements - only a Rothchild would have the courage to do this. That's why we continually have a negative attitude in America and continually check what the confidence level is ( like looking at the weather report by the hour). Wake up America and go forward with a positive attitude and the rest will fall into place. - onewe@aeitv.net

      • Posted By: mariethomson @ 06/08/2008 10:54:04 PM

So true. Also the post about CEO's. Why do you think these guys make so much money? Wow, do you know any of them? I do and they are brilliant and hard working by and large. Like professional atheletes (don't hear complaints about their salaries) who earn only a tiny portion--huge as it is--of what they bring into their owners, CEO's earn only a tiny fraction of the huge profits they build for the company that hires them leaning on their expertise. if they don't produce--the board boots them! A job as risky as being a professional sports team coach--one day you're the hero, the next your the goat and "close the door on your way out!"

        • Posted By: OBWan @ 06/09/2008 3:47:47 PM

Actually, Yes - several, the best that i known had access to the person on the floor and would speak to them as normal person not condescending or demeaning. As a couple have told me - those are the who make the money, product and ultimately the reputation of the company treat them with respect.

As for professional athletes and sports teams - you are hanging with the wrong crowd, if you do not hear complaints.

I do not begrudge anyone the opportunity to earn a living and make as much as possible. That said, there is a greater percentage difference from the bottom to the top of organization. In 1970 - an annual salary $5000 was average, major league ball players $50,000 (there were a few at $100,000), CEO 's about $150,000. (the ratio were 10 and 30 to 1, today those ratios are significantly higher). Who's responsible - I would say shareholder and boards, but the most companies do not allow shareholders to vote on compensation package for a CEO. If they did I am sure there would be different outcomes, including severance packages.

        • Posted By: ruforeel @ 06/08/2008 11:49:47 PM

If you really believe CEO's are underpaid, you deserve a job in the airline or auto industry my friend! It wouldn't take you to long to figure out where your head is!

      • Posted By: onepoker @ 06/09/2008 1:12:46 PM

well you have internet access now you didn't have that in the 70's. Ill bet your house is bigger. are you really worse off or is all in your head. Atleast we dont have avacodo green refridgerators anymore!!!

        • Posted By: OBWan @ 06/09/2008 3:06:44 PM

No cable or Dish or HD, No cell phone. I will get the federal $40 coupon so we can watch PBS and commercial TV.
No job or steady employment and yes, a BS degree.

So, Yes, I am certain that I am worse off than in 2003.

Dear Mr. Bush- Thank you for keeping the terrorists from killing anymore US citizens here at home. Dear Mr. Cheney thank you being a voice of reason against the throngs of negative press assualting our president you have been a loyal servant to this country at a time when lesser men would have caved into the pressure. Who else was I supposed to thank I forgot?

For some strange reason I am less worried about my one in several million chance of being a victim of terrorism than I am about putting food on my family's table and gas in our tanks. The President and his VP have broken the law and stripped people of theier rights all in the name of "protecting" us and in the meantime have done NOTHING to help our economy. I'll take my chances with the terrorists of the world, I just want to be saved from the terror within. Namely the man running this country!

It's been pretty funny watching them all scream in pain at the thought of Hillary. I guess they need to be careful what they ask for. They said they couldn't see Hillary being President. I guess they were right this time. It'll be Obama. I wonder how bigots will be able to deal with this. It will be quite interesting.

The Dems have not been able to override vetos by your man. The GOP still shoulders full blame for this mess - like it or not.

    • Posted By: Brianb1956 @ 06/09/2008 11:01:00 AM

Peace and Love - I have many issues with Bush. The GOP is as much to blame for the problem as any of them. The democrats are not hiding their agenda any longer. They want to socalize this country and they will take us there if we let them. The GOP is following suit. The entire bunch of them needs to be replaced. Can you tell me what change Obama is offering? Please enlighten all of us with any specific item that he is claiming. I'll answer that for you - there is NOTHING specific. He is using blanket statements and is never asked hard questions by the media. Therefore you, and the rest of us do NOT know what his plans for change are. We fell for this ruse once in 06, are we going to fall for it again? This country doesn't need undefined change.

      • Posted By: Want A Change @ 06/09/2008 3:02:18 PM

    • Posted By: willnotvoteobama @ 06/09/2008 11:32:12 AM

ron paul is pretty good on the economy but he is not a media whore like the others so that makes him almost unknown by most voters and most of his opponents make him look bad on the t.v. in debates so they don't give him much coverage during the event did you notice that both obama and Mccain did not invite him to the town hall meetings ?

  • Posted By: DaveWells @ 06/09/2008 12:39:28 PM

I agree, Ron Paul does have good ideas. It boggles my mind how he can remain so invisible to main street America. Obama has some good energy ideas but he is not talking about them. I think he does not want to offend the sandal & socks crowd. McCain seems to be for Middle East oil, again I have not heard much on energy from him. The economy is bad because our nation has turned its back on producing goods and oil and chosen to become a service and financial based economy. Service jobs don't pay well just look at wages over the past 30 years (down-stagnant). Economies that produce goods and actively seek affordable energy are doing great (China, India). We need to send Washington the message that we want to steer the economy back to that of the 50s and 60s. Sites like this need our support

DaveWells: I agree with your comments, the only way to "push" American corporations to produce here in America is to stop buying items made overseas: period. Unless we're willing to take a huge hit to Standard of Living, or, if China and India suddenly decide to increase the labor rates by about 1000%, we're going to affect American Corporations by hitting their bottom line.

Corporations will continue to chase profts at the expense of labor and the environment until consumers understand they have the means to stop them in their tracks. Americans need to get more disciplined, more educated and start to grow some balls to make the changes on our own turf.

  • Posted By: toolkien @ 06/09/2008 1:53:56 PM

Did I read this right that a bracing round of tax increases should boost the economy? That seems to be the gist of it.

  • Posted By: WhatJustice? @ 06/09/2008 10:17:42 AM

I'll make note that politics has little to do with control over a global economy. Fact: Before the war, White House economic adviser Lawrence Lindsay estimated the cost at $100 to $200 billion. So the White House got rid of him and "re-estimated" the cost at $50 to $60 billion. It's now over $500 billion and climbing. BTW, go ahead and let you kids know they will be paying for this. I guess that's just chump change we couldn't have used for bridge repairs, New Orleans levees, etc., etc..

    • Posted By: onepoker @ 06/09/2008 11:47:50 AM

The cost of the War is nothing compared to the cost of socialism! If you think 4 dollar gas is bad wait until we have to pay for government run healthcare. The same people who run the DMV will be deciding if your cancer is treatable or fatal just fill out forms 45-3939843-45-399999 we will respond within 45 working days if you are accepted for treatment you will be asked ot fill out form 56-4444400 and as soon as a doctor in your regional caresystem is available you will be notified by mail. You must make an appointment with in 2 buisness days or your approval will be terminated and you will be asked to reapply.

      • Posted By: raddave @ 06/09/2008 12:29:34 PM

Obama does not advocate Government ran health care. His plan calls for health care to become affordable for all to have it. No one is trying to have socialized medical care in America. And, if you think you are not paying to cover health care for people who are not insured, then you are living in a dream world.

        • Posted By: onepoker @ 06/09/2008 1:44:28 PM

well how do you think he intends to make it affordable? Government Subsidies( code word for raise taxes)? Working with Big Corporations that the left think are evil? He has no plan just Ideas with no solutions. You can want all day long but until you actually do something you are merely making an empty promise.

  • Posted By: caymander @ 06/09/2008 12:53:52 PM

yeah, perhaps he has the ability - but i doubt he has the inclination. i don't think he gives a damn about whats left of the middle-class. or the working-class. or the working poor. or the unemployed. or the unemployable. for the most part, his efforts will be directed at continuing to ensure that those at the top will be cared for, as well as possible. after all, its who is. its where he came from. its what he and his kind do. repeatedly. much to the discomfort of the rest of us.

Doubldoc: The reason that so many Americans believe we are in a recession is becasue the media tells them we are. Yes, and don't be so quick to judge me with your pompous statments about serving in the military. I grew up in Europe during WWII and was bombed and shot at by members of the Russian army during the Winter War as we as Finns were attacked by the Russians in 1939. We did not have the means to defend ourselves. Besides, those days days women did not serve in the military.

Even as a conservative Republican and a former student of the great Milton Friedman, I have say Obama does have a couple of good points. However, you really need to read between the lines....his Keynesian approach would be quite inflationary and this would not be good for long term growth. As a strong proponent of low taxes, I see any new tax cuts as being harmful as well...so what do we do? I saw this housing situation ebbing

I see our country as sort of a declining drunk who has to fall into the gutter and roll around with the empty bottles before he sees the light, gets up, takes a bath, puts on a new set of clothes and quits drinking that which brought him down. This country is drunk and staggering dangerously close to the curb.
