    Of course all the depressed losing candidates in this article are men...I would not be surprised if Senator Clinton is able to handle her defeat with more grace and stoicism than they were...to those who would write her off, she is truly an inspiration and her true greatness is yet to come.

      I agree shes been through worse than this. All her former Colleagues at the Rose Law firm going to Jail. Her Husbands well publicized trist with Monica. Her husbands other little daliances. She was a senator from New York on 911 for Gods sakes. If you think barely losing an election is going to shake this woman your mistaken.

    McCain is the only candidate who cares about keeping us all safe. Obama is a brilliant man but he lacks the necessary experience. You can all bash Bush all you want but we haven't had another attack on our soil since 9/11, have we? How easily we do forget...

        Name ONE person who became the president of the US and went into the oval office with so-called experience? The obvious answer: NO ONE!!!! Just because a person graduates from medical school and is licensed to practice medicine, he/she STILL DOES NOT HAVE THE "EXPERIENCE" AS A DOCTOR!           Point well made! Let's narrow it down - there's only one person in this presidential race that has the experience *H*I*L*L*A*R*Y*! She lived and breathed Oval Office for not one, but two consecutive terms along side of her former president husband. That's about as close to hands on training as we can hope for! Hillary supporters can still vote for Hillary! Like she said "It ain't over till it's over." If ALL of Hillary's supporters vote for her by writing her name in on the final ballot (they offer a fill in the blank spot) it will be pretty hard to ignore 18 million plus votes for Hillary Rodman Clinton... don't ya think???

    If you are a Obama supporter , you will vote for Obama regardless of who the V.P. is . If you are a Clinton supporter you will vote for Obama if Hillary is the V.P.. {That would be 18 million plus 18 million votes}. And if McCain is the President we will spend another trillion dollars on a war that never should have been fought , while the infastructure of The United States continues to collapse. .

        Loriw - think about what you're saying - you are such an avid Obama supporter but won't vote for him if HRC is HIS choice for VP? Wow. How does that change who he is and what has inspired you and so many other Obama supporters. 54% of Democrats would like to see that ticket. So, HRC supporters are supposed to listen to talk about party unity and come to Obama and yet you would leave him over the choice of his VP? Doesn't make sense.

          loriw, I love you babe, but I have to agree with dreffein on this one. It's about getting a democrat into the White House. If the democrats can hold the presidency and the majority in both houses, we can do wonderful things. Let's keep our eye on the big prize. If the democrat party and Obama feel Clinton is the best choice for VP, then so be it.

    Is it not true that Clinton won the popular vote? What does it take to get the American voters vote to stand for something. Why do the delegates choose to ignore the voters of their state? We have the capability to count everyones vote. The electorial college has outlived its usefulness.

      First of all, I am sure you are aware that we are a republic and not a democracy and that the popular vote does not determine who the President of the United States is. Have you ever heard of the Electoral College. That is the standard that we use and have used. It is Constitutional. So, get over it. And by the way, Hillary DID not win the popular vote unless you count Florida and Michigan (where Obama wasn't even on the ballot). Hillary, as only a Clinton can, used whatever figures suited her at the time to declare herself the winner. Tuesday evening, even that idiot McCauliffe introduced her as the next President of the United States knowing that she had indeed lost. Pathetic.

      Thank God for freedom of choice! They may have shoved Hillary out of the running - for now - BUT you can still have the option of writing your candidate of choice in - you don't have to vote for anyone who is printed on the ballot. I'm with you - I'll write her in on the final ballot at the end of the year.

      Well, at least we are not repeating the disaster known as "The Clinton Years". And I am sure that just because YOU do not trust Obama, that Hillary surely should have won. Wow, the Clintons are so honest and trustworthy (Trashing the White House when they left and stealing furnishings for their new digs in NY that the government had to send a truck to recover; the highly suspicious death of Vince Foster; Hillary's incredible mop-up in the futures market; Whitewater; records from the Rose Law Firm that Hillary stated UNDER OATH that she had no knowledge of where they were that mysteriously showed up at the White House in the private quarters; Monica Lewinski). These are not people that should be in public service, they should be in the general population of a prison.

    It is too bad that everyone interested in either Democratic candidate did not take a look at what they are and not who they are. Women supported Hillary and blacks supported Obama. To HELL with race and gender. It is time that everyone listened to them and put the right person in office. I was unsure of Hillary at first then heard Obama make some remarks and pushed me towards Hillary. Why does it have to be brought up time and time again about race and gender. I do not look at either as a woman or a black and could give a crap less what they are. I want the best person to run this country and get us out of the near depression we are in at this time. Sorry McBush, but you do not cut it.

      Thats Just SIlly I don't like Obama but its not because hes black its because he doesn't have any ideas. I think its a disservice to your candidate to say the only way he will lose is if the republicans play the race card. I say lets have a battle of Idea's forget race lets get down to details. I want first and formost to win the War in Iraq. I define the Victory as a free and elected Government overseeing their own people living peacefully among each other and with their neighbors. I want to reduce the size of our Government. I am for a continuation of Private health care where the best doctors in the world can continue to thrive and Americans have access to the best healthcare in the world. I want to see Exxon Drilling in the United states and Gas prices falling as a result.(Mccain disagrees with me here). Please tell me exactly what it is You want from Obama I have yet to hear a single plan or policy. Change is what I get asked for at the gas station by meth heads not a real political goal.

    This is an absolutely awful article. What I dislike most is the overconfident sense of inevitability. I also found the choice of subject confusing- are there not better topics to write about? Perhaps the writers??? time could be better spent on subjects other than unqualified psychiatric predictions. Moreover, I think from this election we have all garnered that Clinton is by no means a ???typical??? candidate- and she can demonstrate her unique brand of perseverance and determination by standing right back up after this fall. Finally, while it may be clear that I am not unbiased, this article clearly wasn???t either.
