Is this really worthy of an article? Journalism? What a waste of letters, commas, periods, and reader's time.

WE HAVEN'T SEEN THE LAST OF HILLARY,HOWEVER I FEEL OBAMA WILL BE FINISHED IN ONE YEAR.

    • Posted By: patwhit01 @ 06/08/2008 4:13:33 PM

I agree with other comments, Hillary will be back. In what role, in what position only the future can tell. But irregardless she has endeared herself to a ton of millions of Americans that only knew her by the circumstances of Bill Clinton. O by the way....check out your history books, most American Presidents, and Power Brokers everywhere have had their side games, too bad Bill got caught, but that is the cost to men who play in the power game. I still like Bill, and he plays one great Saxophone, and for Hillary, I do not think he will play the BLUES.

      • Posted By: loriw @ 06/08/2008 7:30:55 PM

It wasn't just that Bill "got caught" ...He lied about it to every American including YOU and ME. I don't know about you but I have too much self respect to be lied to and just put up with it. If Hillary wants to put up with her lying and cheating husband who treats every woman like a piece of meat then let them do it some where other than from the White House. Hillary would have done better if she had dumped Bill.

Since when did journalists become psychanalysts? Shame on you liberal media!

I say, "Good bye, Hillary. It'sd been nice knowing you and Bill."

As a life-long Democrat, I believe Bill and Hillary Clinto represent the worst of the Democratic Party Machine,...whether its their strong-armed tactics, i.e. Whitewater, Vince Foster, etc.,..or their ties to big money, i.e., Bill joining George H.W. Bush and James Baker at the Carlyle Group,..or their serious errors in judgement, i.e. the presidential pardon of Marc Rich...or their failed policies, i.e. the Welfare Reform Act of 1996...or their even their crimes against humanity, i.e. their unequivocal support of the Israel, including the Clinton's silence about Israeli genocide.

    Move over Bill and Hillary.

She and Bill said that politics is a contact sport. When you get knocked down in a contact sport, you don't need people around you. You get up and hit the next guy. His name is Mc Cain. No fair saying that you are tough, and then crying like a baby when you lose in a contact sport. It goes with the liberation and the demands for gender equality. You can't have both. Tough, and tears of remorse don't mix. Welcome to the world of equal treatment. You earned it. Don't whine it away.

      ANOTHER GREAT ONE !

  • Posted By: rab015 @ 06/08/2008 6:05:29 PM

Only in America can a man who has never governed anything or passed any major legislation can possibly be president. Just goes to show you kiddies, sharpen you BS and oratory skills and you can be anything.

    • Posted By: Just Us Plz! @ 06/08/2008 6:40:03 PM

So ethics reform is not a major piece of legislation?? What legislation has HRC or JFK prior to purusing the presidency past??

      • Posted By: FitToBeTied @ 06/08/2008 7:19:41 PM

She has co-sponsored legislation related to debt and deficit reduction. Introduced legislation in 2004 to secure borders and add 10,000 more border patrol guards. Introduced The Education for All Act of 2004. Clinton has also sponsored and co-sponsored several bills relating to protecting Americans from acts of terrorism, as well as providing assistance to the victims of such acts. In 2005 she introduced the Family Entertainment Protection Act to regulate video games.

        I could go on...

Sen. McCain & Pres. Bush are war-mongers ; Sen. Obama , soon to be President Obama is for peace and goodwill throughout the world . When the U.S troops are withdrawn from Iraq the price of oil will drop and the U.S economy will rebound . Long live Barack Obama ! Long live the good people of the U.S.A !

    • Posted By: loriw @ 06/07/2008 11:01:14 PM

If we pull out of Iraq too soon the Middle East will destabilize and the price of oil will skyrocket.

      • Posted By: raddave @ 06/08/2008 12:28:54 AM

The Middle East is alredy destabilized and the price of oil has already skyrocketed.

        • Posted By: loriw @ 06/08/2008 1:55:46 AM

          you haven't seen nothin' yet...

          • Posted By: dking312 @ 06/08/2008 3:38:18 AM

What I've seen is a Middle East that detests us and the fact that we meddle in their current affairs, without an emotion about it at that.
Think of how we would feel if they decided to speard their rhetoric around in our nation....wouldn't be such a great idea then?
So, we are being punished through their gratest commodity. THANKS REPUBS.

            • Posted By: RetiredMarine @ 06/08/2008 12:05:29 PM

What have you seen about the Middle East? have you been there or do you get your information from the media. They do spread their rhetoric here. Most of it with the assistance of our own media. You make it sound like the US was the "grand satan" for helping free Iraqis of a tyrant. You seem to forget that a great deal of the rest of the world were in it as well. Then you say thanks "Repubs".... I suppose that Dems didn't vote to go in? (What rock have you been under?). We were all in it together. Whether you support the war or not, we are there. Pulling our now would do nothing but embolden the terrorists further and create a huge vacuume for another dictatorship (or even terrorist organization) to come in. As for oil, we wouldn't have the problems we have now if we weren't so dependent upon the middle east for oil. And we wouldn't be so dependent if it weren't for left wing radicals (esp environmentalists) who fight at every turn against our companies who try to make life better... (got to save that cockroach after all...) Funny how foreing countries can drill for oil about 70 miles off our shores, but if a US company does it, the whakos are out in force..... Problem is some of you left wingers want to have things both ways, not realizing that life just doesn't work that way....

                RetiredMarine,
Thanks for covering my back. Wish you would post more often; you always have a good perspective.
Thank you for your service to our country. Said it before but wasn't sure if you saw it.

That is the reason we have been fighting two third world countries for seven years, they did not even have a military, just like a grown up jumping on a five year old, we have lost by all standards.
Fighting from the green zone, you can not win a war with eighty percent of the troops in the green zone, you fight a war on the battle field, being a retired marine I am sure you know that.

              • Posted By: j.n @ 06/08/2008 6:55:42 PM

If what the US did in Iraq is called freedom,I hope no country decides to free the US,no electricy,no schools,no running water, bombings everyday, seventy percent out of work,I am sure every person in Iraq would rather be back under slavery.

If we nuke Iran you will need a gieger counter to fill up! your right though we steped in Mississippi mud, and if you pull to quick you leave your boot. if you pull out slow its still a huge mess, but lets start with accountability to those 360 corporations in
Iraq with there 180,000 employees mostly American! Starting with dime one spent in Iraq!

THATS NOT NORMAL IN THIS LIFE.

IF IRAN CONTINUES TO PREPARE FOR NUCLEAR BOMBS, THEY WILL GET HIT FIRST BY ISRAEL.

AND WE ARE COMMITTED TO HELP THEM.

Hillary lost more in disqualification by the weird rules of the super delegates as she obtained more votes than Obama. The big winner of the democratic primary was not Obama, but McCain who will add 20% of the votes of the people that were supporting her.

    • Posted By: hillary1973 @ 06/08/2008 7:15:24 PM

How can you blame and penalize Obama for rules that Clinton agreed to? She agreed FLA and MI wouldn't count. She didn't even fight for them to be back in until she was loosing. Don't blame Obama for playing by the rules all DNC candidates agreed to. If you want to be mad at anyone, be mad at Hillary for not planning a better campaign where she wouldn't have had to try to change the rules in the 11th hour out of desperation. If she would have cared 1 minute about Iowa, she would be the nominee. I don't undestand why Hillaey supporters want to blame Obama for her poor planning and execution during the campaign.

You sound like sore losers. A sore loser is someone who loses in a fair competition but whines about it on a constant basis, blaming everyone around them for their loss except themselves. Fun to taunt, but no fun to play with.

    Hillary Clinto is old school.

I'm a life-long Democrat,, and I believe in my heart of hearts that Hillary and Bill Clinton represent the worst of the "Democrat Party Machine",...its strong-armed tatics, i.e. Whitewater, Vince Foster, etc...and its history of highly flawed judgement, i.e. the Welfare Reform Act of 1996, the presidential pardomn of Marc Rich, etc.

Maybe what irks me most is how Bill Clinton joined George H.W. Bush and James Baker at the Carlyle Group.

I was never a fan of the Clintons. I willsay tha t Hillary put up a good fight I was relieved that she didn't win. She could not have kept Bill subdued. Haven't we had enough of two for one.? I believe she will be okay she is made of "Tuff Stuff". We don't know who will be asked to be veep, though her only reason to agree would be to get ready for 2012, she even might run for Governor of NY. The low will come girls, but the high will be back................Eleanor

You press people make me sick. You have been on her back from the start. You have never given her a break and have made every effort to convince the stupid easily-swayed public that Obama was winning even when he wasn't, that he is a better candidate, even though he isn't... and I am not even a Hillary supporter.

you know what this nonsense about some of the Clinton Women, threatening to vote for McCain is really getting old. Are you people serious? You have posted both hear and on CNN that 1. HRC as been publically raped. 2.. The News organization has been "Mean" to her OMG! 3. HRC has been disrespected. 4. Her supporters have been disrespected. 5. "They" have been cruel to her. After all that she and Bill have done for blacks, they just abandoned her for no reason. 6. The "Blacks" are only voting color. 7. Only Blacks are voting for Obama. I could continue and list all of the racially hate filled comments that some of you have posted about Sen. Obama. Now there are some of you who are trying to recruit others into some type of group whose only purposes are to bring down all of the major news outlet, to flex and punish them for being mean to Sen. Clinton and also to vote for McCain to punish the DNC.

Are you people serious. Please either re-read or better yet have someone close to you read some of your posts. The only issues that Clinton and McCain have agree on are the War and the Gas Tax Holiday, other than those two issues Sens. Clinton & McCain are totally opposite.

I do agree with you on one point, I will be much eaiser to win the WH with all of us together backing Obama. But, if you continue one this path, that of showing the DNC by voting McCain into the WH, know this. As the quality of American life plummets, as fewer and fewer are able to own or maintain homes, every time there is a clip of flag draped coffins returned to the US, every time a parent loses a child to a war that should have never happened. Look in the mirror, smile and pat yourself on the back and say "I DID THAT THIS IS WHAT I WANTED, WORKED FOR AND RECEIVED"

I hope that you sleep well at night

Hillary Clinton is a Senator, a Statesman, and she is capable of leading the way for change with whatever she chooses as the most important goal to accomplish. She belongs in a Cabinet Post, not as a ceremonial V.P. post. She has no time for depression. She would have made the better president, but she will help us make progress!

  • Posted By: Just Us Plz! @ 06/08/2008 7:00:52 PM

Again HRC supporters I agree that this article was written to provoke you guys but what about the others that are mentioned in the article along with HRC?? Your arguments sound self serving!

  • Posted By: opinion8ted @ 06/08/2008 6:44:16 PM

I don't claim achievment and disappointment on the scale of a presidential nomination, But the basis of the article would apply to anyone really. I was an up and coming amateur boxer poised for a pro breakthrough. Then I threw a punch that tore ligamnts in my shoulder and elbow. It was over just like that. Everytime I thought I was ready to comeback, Boom another setback.. The sudden loss of a goal or dream that you have put your heart and soul into can affect you in ways you never dreamed. It is not an affront to Hillary to suggest it. And to her supporters, be supportive if she does go into the funk of a new reality. I do not support her as a candidate, but as a person I wish her well.

I don't know how any defeated candidate can not go into a depression, losing at anything is hard but when you have millions of people voting for you and you don't win well that's gotta hurt. One other thing I would think that when your friends announce their support of your rival in the contest that would be the finale nail in the coffin. I know forgiveness is suppossed to be divine but if I was her revenge would probably feel better right now. Just my opinion no lectures please.

Hillary is a warrior and she's admitted defeat to a simple battle, not the first and I'm sure not the last of someone of her strength and capability. Depression? C'mon people. You???re stretching for a unique angle. Earn your keep. Depression does not a believable headline make! Give me a break. Wasting my time on a piece like this. Jeez!
