Wow - I thought I was the only person totally disgusted with Newsweek and MSNBC!! I can't believe that I used to actually really love Alter, Matthews, Olbermann and the like. Can't / won't listen to them now.....I've just said "no" to their toxic rants.

    • Posted By: pramono @ 06/08/2008 2:39:11 AM

By the way, boicoting MSNBC and Newsweek will not accomplish a thing. It shows that you don't understand the financing of the two organizations.

Most of their income comes from advertisers. Thus, the most effective way to heart them is to anounce and make sure that anyone who advertises with them will be boicoted by HRC supporters. You will be amazed how quickly shady characters likke Mattews, Olberman, Feinman, Alter, Russel will be tossed under the Bridge.

I was at the National Building Museum today and there were 6,000-7,000 people there. (NOT 2,000) I did a head count (I am experienced at counting crowds, count a section and multiply) I also asked a secret service agent. Maybe you did not look up to the 2nd and 3rd tiers? Please don't downplay this event, the media has downplayed this candidate enough.

    • Posted By: sharenews @ 06/08/2008 1:16:29 AM

I read that there were at least 6000+ people signed up to go to the National Museum Bldg. to hear Hillarys speech Saturday June 7th. Not sure where anyone heard anything about 10,000 were expected (couldnt find any amt like that). But N E W S W E E K . . . . you did NOT get it right. There were over three (3) times the crowd ( more than 6,000 people) in that building to hear Clintons speech today. Once again, Newsweek going out of its way to downplay anything great when it comes to Hillary right up until her endorsement of Obama today. .

    • Posted By: tired and old @ 06/07/2008 11:05:29 PM

THEY SAID ON TV THAT THEY WERE EXPECTING UP TO PERHAPS 10,000 PEOPLE; BUT,THAT MANY WOULD VIOLATE FIRE CODES.

  • Posted By: GracieII @ 06/08/2008 1:14:27 AM

I am so sick of her and her supporters believing in some sort of "leverage". This is exactually the reason we need a change in "The Washington Machine". Senator Obama has shown class and a new way of doing business. I remain a proud supporter of a Change we can Believe In.

Try getting your head out of Rush Limbaugh's butt long enough to get some air to your pea brain.

      • Posted By: sharenews @ 06/08/2008 12:48:47 AM

Miande can't help it bella. She has what is called a permanent case of Clintonian Syndrome. There is no cure for this mental obscession of ranting feverously about the Clintons. Where is Jonas Salk when we need him. LOL.

I have a suggestion for all the Clinton supporters who say they are going to vote for McCain. Go to the following website address for the Wall Street Journal:

    http://online.wsj.com/public/page/election2008.html?mod=2_1309

At the top of the page, you'll see cartoon charcters of McCain and Obama along with a link that says "See An Interactive Graphic." If you click on that link you'll see a very easy to read summary on the differences between McCain and Obama on various topics. Remember, with the excpetion of health care, Clinton's polilcies are very similar to Obama's. Even on health care, Obama's policy is closer to Clinton's than McCain's.

Try to take a moment and put aside any emotional response and read the differences for each topic. When you're finished, ask yourself objectively and without emotion who's policies you agree with more. If the answer is Obama, then try to at least keep an open mind as the campaign plays out. With emotions still high, no one expects you to endorse Obama at this point - just try to keep an open mind and focus on the policies rather than the personalities, because that is really what is most important.

    Just a suggestion.

Actually, I never have either - but since it seems to amuse some people on this blog that I do - mostly McCain supporters - I figure why not let them be amused, especially since they are not going to have much to be amused about between now and November.

            • Posted By: sharenews @ 06/08/2008 12:34:30 AM

Ah, geez, you had me AMUSED for a bit. LOL.

Senator Barack Obama will be the next President of the USA and Senator Hillary Clinton should have withdrawn before May and give her support to Sen. Obama . After all the damage that she has done , she has no chance of becoming Obama's veep . The american people now have The perfect opportunity to vote for a President who truely represents the vast majority of americans .

    • Posted By: sharenews @ 06/08/2008 12:33:23 AM

What is all the damage you speak of that Hillary has done? Please, Id like to know. She endorse Obama today. She gets to carry into history as being the only democratic candidate to rake it the most popular vote every, all her candidates will heal and support Obama (well maybe not all, but those that were only not voting for Obama cuz they loved her and not just based on her policies, plans,etc.). Please explain all of this damage she has done, really. I'd appreciate your explanation. Thanks.

Out of all the DC fat cats only one has given Hillery the proper title as to her run for office: Obama! Who had nothing but respect, and left the door wide open for another woman to run, thanks to the two of them! We finaly practice, what we threaten the world with "All men are created Equal" a proud Vet I am FINALY cause of the BOTH of them! Thank you. Now lets rebuild border to border coast to coast, and frag American Intrest outside of our country! At least fund it from inside the borders, not a corp in Dubui!!!

Newsweek thrives on being negative on Hillary. Now, she's gone, what else can sustain the business.

    • Posted By: sharenews @ 06/08/2008 12:18:52 AM

I know, they are disgusting. Just look at the title of this article, Out and Down. :

Harsh?? I Agree with Obama she is a strong, determined and at this time we really need her in the senate. I do agree with Obama, not a harsh defeat, but a well fought competive intellegent woman! Nothing harsh about that is there?

This past April the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act fell three senators short of the 60 necessary to force a vote. Senator John McCain failed even to show up for the vote.

McCain said the gap between the pay of women and men in this country isn't due to discrimination. Women just need more "education and training" to earn as much as men. That's what he thinks of women!

Lilly Ledbetter worked 19 years at Goodyear before she learned the men at her level were earning
far more for the same work. She sued, and stood up for inequality by taking her case all the way
to the Supreme Court???where five male justices ruled her claim invalid because she filed it more
than 180 days after the discrimination started.

Senator McCain - who now wants Hillary Clinton's supporters to fall in line with him - could not even be bothered to support legislation to correct this injustice. He appears seems willing to roll back 50 years of women's rights. I am dumbfounded that any woman would support him in that effort.

Everyone should take a deep breath. Barack will chose Hillary for VP. Everything that they're both saying points to that. McCain is toast!

WICKED LYING WITCHES DO NOT MEET MY STANDARDS OF GOOD MORAL LEADERSHIP !

America should be congratulated... the nomination of senator Obama is a clear manifestation that America has moved beyond race, and if we are honest we must give credit to the white American majority as it is they who have allowed this progress... I also want to make the point that senator Obama did not win this nomination by standing a a black American, he won because he stood as a man, who just happens to be black... we all know that had he stood as a black candidate that the outcome may have been different... I congratulate senator Obama for having the courage to stand as a man and not a black man! It takes a brave man to rise above the rhetoric and symbols of the day; through his courage and foresight black people will achieve a new level of freedom, one that assures them that white Amercica can rise above race if blacks are prepared to leave it behind. I think there is a lesson here for Hilary Clinton and the voice of women she represents... she too should rise above the rhetoric and symbols that have hindered the progress of women... it should have never been raised as an issue in her campaign... It seems to me that this campaign has proved that by engaging in debate about political correctness that one only adds momentum which prolongs the route to the desired outcome... America is not racist, that is clear... black people must follow senator Obama's lead by not engaging in this discussion any longer... they must focus on connecting with white America, because clearly white America wants to connect with them... lets all grab this opportunity... America is changing the world... America is reclaiming its moral authority and demonstrating to the world its true heart and identity....

WHEN OBAMA IS ELECTED THEN I WILL AGREE THAT A MAJORITY ARE PASSED THE RACE QUESTION. HILLARY WAS COUNTING ON US NOT BEING BEYOND RACE ISSUES.

GOV. ED RENDELL SAID " SOME " WHITE PEOPLE ARE NOT READY TO VOTE FOR A WHITE MAN, I AM AFRAID HE WAS RIGHT.

    • Posted By: bella12 @ 06/07/2008 6:39:36 PM

I am a Hillary Supporter from florida and couldn't agree more. Bring on Bush/Cheney/Powell/Rice/Rumsfeld and McCain.

Tired and Old, McCain isn't about old he's about DEATH. He would continue the republican's phony war in iraq and send several thousands more of our best and bravest to their deaths. It has nothing to do with old. it has everything to do with his thirst for power. Just think of what kind of a person would sacrifice american lives to appease the republican right wing wack jobs to win an election.

    • Posted By: tired and old @ 06/07/2008 10:46:47 PM

NOW THIS I CAN AGREE WITH 99%.

THE OLD PART IS THAT HE IS TOO OLD FOR THE OFFICE OF PRESIDENT.

HE CAN'T REMEMBER HIS CONGRESSIONAL VOTING RECORD.

I AGREED WITH EVERY THING ELSE YOU SAID HERE.

AND YES ! I AM FOR OBAMA ! YOU MUST NOT READ VERY MUCH, I HAVE SAID THIS COUNTLESS TIMES. WHY WOULD I LIE ?

  • Posted By: bella12 @ 06/07/2008 6:53:06 PM

Tired and Old and Ignorant, You know damned well you a Republican Imbred. Why don't you have the guts to say so. Anyone who's been on the newsweek blogs for a while know where you're coming from. I DON'T THINK I AM IGNORANT; UNLESS, IGNORANT PEOPLE GRADUATE WITH HIGHEST HONORS.

I KNOW I AM A DEMOCRAT FOR OBAMA. I WILL RETURN TO INDEPENDENT AFTER ELCTION.

YOU BELIEVE WHAT YOU MAY; BUT, THE FACT IS YOUR WRONG !
