If Hillary is wise enough not to become an Obama sucker she can run again in 2012 when the public will be disgusted with him.
If Hillary is wise enough not to become an Obama sucker she can run again in 2012 when the public will be disgusted with him.
. . . Or disgusted with another Republican in office for 4 yrs.
. . . meaning this in a good way in that the world will now know Hillary WAS the stronger dem candidate to become the nominee to beat McCain in the GE of the fall of 2008 making her a sure fire win in 2012 next time around!.
No the only way that Obama does not win will be if a large portion of the HRC supporters do as some of you are planning to do which is sabatoge his election by voting for McCain out of spite, racism or to punish the DNC. As Sen. Clinton said the differences between her and Obama pale in comparision to the differences between her and McBush. But for some reason there are those of you who choose to ignore this.
You should all remember also, that while you are trying to screw over the DNC and Obama you are also screwing over the rest of us, your children and you will be totally destroying Sen. Clinton's political career. Because if it appears that Sen. Clinton did not do all that she could to encourage her supporters to back the Democratic Presidential Candidate, trust me she will be held accountable by those in the Senate, and DNC. It is your choice.
What more would you want her to do ?
No I understand that it comes down to individual choice when it comes to voting. I am just pointing out what has been stated by several of her high ranking supporters. I do understand the challenge that she faces after running against him, trying to convince her supporters to now support Obama. But again this campaign seemed to be more about the candidates personalities than their positions which are quite a bit similiar.
SHARE NEWS NOT HILLARY MIS-SPEAK.
does anyone besides me see the irony of the "sexist" label the Cliniton supporters are using? If sexism truly existed towards Hillary Clinton's campaign and subsequent loss, then how on earth could she have become a two-term senator and a viable candidate for the office of the president of the United States? I don't get it!! Could her loss be due to a poorly run campaign; an ever evolving message.
There is a confusion in the post mortem discussion about sexism. The question is was sexism, or sexist language, exhibited during the primary contest? Was there offensive sexist language in the press, and is this something that should be accepted and allowed, or should it be considered unacceptable and disallowed. If we ask was sexism the cause of HRC"s loss, we get off the point.
Yes, but that is exactly what some of the posters (Clinton Supporters) are claiming that sexism in the media and DNC greatly contributed to her loss of the primary. Which I do not understand. They, not all, are using this as justification for voting for McCain. In their minds doing so will punish both the DNC and Sen. Obama. Forget the fact that other than voting for the war and the gas tax holiday, Sens. Clinton and McCain are complete opposites.
Sexism will never go away if women aren't willing to accept a woman's loss in a fair contest. Losing hurts, but it happens to both genders. I'm a woman, and I don't think Hillary has been any more of a victim of sexism than Obama has been of racism. They are both sticky areas, and our nation has not fully moved beyond either of them.
Were there sexist statements made about Sen. Clinton yes there were, were racist statements made about Sen. Obama definitely. But be honest there is no contest when it comes to which type of statements were worse. But all of these statements were made by the supporters not the candidates.
In the first session of the 110th Congress (2007), McCain holds the dubious honor of missing, by a wide margin, more votes than any other Senator save one. The only one who missed more? That would be Senator Tim Johnson, who was recovering from a brain hemorrhage.
The Washington Post has a database that tracks vote missed in the Senate. McCain missed a whopping 261 of 468 votes, about 56%. And it not because he wasn't there in the building. He refuses to vote on any bill that is controversial or that he might be criticized for. Consequently, he votes on almost all of the silly votes (like "Name a Daisy Day") but fails to be in the room when really important stuff is going down, like votes concerning the war in Iraq. Senator Harry Reid, the Senate Majority Leader became so angry with McCain about this that he took him task for it right on the Senate floor, saying "Senator McCain has spent considerable time defending the President on Iraq, but has only managed to show up for four of the last fourteen Iraq votes."
In case you think I made that up, I will give you a reference: "McCain Missed Votes on Iraq Triggers Reid Rebuke" published in The Hill, May 17, 2007.
You may be asking why would McCain not want to vote on Iraq? Because he already knew then that he would be running for President, and he knew the war was increasingly unpopular, and he didn't want the Democrats to be able to point to his record and say "Look how he votes on Iraq."
McCain has also missed important votes on national security, funding of law enforcement, equipment for firefighters, and of course, his most recent no-show, on giving veterans the GI Bill. In fact, McCain misses more than half of his votes.
Is this the kind of President that you want?
Concerned Ctzn, are you OUT OF YOUR MIND saying that "W" did nothing to defeat Roe vs. Wade? It has been the stated goal of the religious right to appoint conservative judges to overturn Roe vs. Wade for years. Bush is on board with this plan. Every single judge that Bush appointed to every single Federal bench that came open during his tenure was a right wing Christian conservative. The Democrats were stymied when the GOP controlled congress, and Bush got to appoint two right wing Supreme Court Justices.
First Bush appointed John Roberts to replace Sandra Day O'Connor when she stepped down. When Chief Justice Wm. Rehnquist died in 2005, Bush appointed Roberts as Chief Justice, and then filled O'Connor's empty chair with Samuel Alito. Both Roberts and Alito are Catholic, and both are outspoken against abortion.
Bush has appointed two of the nine Justices, including the Chief Justice. The current Supreme Court has been sharply divided on a number of high profile issues, including abortion rights, affirmative action, eminent domain, gay rights, the separation of church and state, sovereign immunity, and states' rights. The number of close votes in cases involving these areas suggests that a change of one or two key justices could completely shift the thinking of the Court on such issues.
Right now there are four Justices who are elderly and will soon either retire or die. The next President will get to appoint at least two new Justices. If the next President is McCain, those two will both be conservative right wing Christians. McCain has publicly PROMISED to do this, and explicitly said that his goal is to overturn Roe vs. Wade.
Most Americans, even most Republicans, value the separation of church and state. That clause is in our Constitution to protect us from exactly what is going on in America today! Allowing any religious group (especially a radical one) to control the interpretation and application of our laws in the highest court in the land is NOT democratic. Nor is it wise.
Ladies, stop fighting with each other and prick up your ears! You should be fighting John McCain, and not each other.
To mom of nine---Apparently you subscribe to the adage barefoot and pregnant. The slings and arrows you hurl at Hillary seem to be selfhatred. To those of you who complain about the biased media--Obamaites are proving the power of the media by following with their unthinking votes (where are the Obama supporters who are supposed to be intelligent?). To those who think we Hillary supporters are disgruntled and cutting our noses off to spite our faces--I saw first hand the working of the democratics and no longer want to be associated with a party that is self-serving and does not believe in democracy. It is the party with which we are disagreeing. They have shown their colors and have put forth a candidate we cannot support. Obamaites can praise him to the heavens but the reality is that he is not fit to be president regardless of how you defend him. You have let the media as flawed as they are choose your president. So much for the intelligent supporters of Obama.. As to the premise of this article---Hillary has shown she is not the typical candidate and will be fine. She has more intestinal fortitude than any of the previous contenders who lost an election. Even idiots like Jimmy Carter who did not show the guts she did now piles on the negativity continuing at her. I think you are all still afraid of her, which shows who has the most power. Hillary will be fine. We still support her and she is well aware that she was the most qualified candidate even tho the election did not end as it should have. She will continue to hold her head high and go forward as well she should.
Obamaites are proving the power of the media by following with their unthinking votes (where are the Obama supporters who are supposed to be intelligent?
This statement makes absolutely no sense.
Suppose to be Intelligent??? Lady, you had NINE KIDS... Whether by accident (one would think that you would have learned after 8...) or intentionally (man that's 9 more peopel that I hope don't think like you) the whole notion of you, further straining the Earth's resources are at best shameful... Even Hillaryous supports "The Club of Rome" (since I know you don't know who they are, it is a global think-tank that takes the stance of "Zero Population Growth") and so by default... HILLARYOUS WOULDN'T EVEN THINK TO SUPPORT YOU OR YOUR NINE CHILDREN... and neither would I...
By your own admission, you are disqualified from making such lofty statements as you have previously made... WOMAN... YOU HAVE NINE KIDS... YOU DON'T HAVE TIME TO EVEN FORMULATE AN ENLIGHTEND OPINION ON ANYTHING ELSE EXCEPT, FLAVORED SIMILAC, WHICH OF YOUR 9 KIDS ACTUALLY GETS TO EAT TONIGHT (more than likely at Tax-Payer Expense) and WHO'S THE MOST FISCALLY RESPONSIBLE, BARNEY OR ELMO...
WOMAN by yourown admission, you have greater and more pressing issues than being informed or SAYING SOMETHING SENSEBLE...
In closing, since you are so concerned about politics and world affairs, stop having so many kids... THAT ISN'T VERY GREEN CONSCIOUS:)
NOW GET YOUR BUTT OFF OF THE COMPUTER AND GO AND TRY TO BE A GOOD, no scratch that, A BETTER MOTHER!!!
YOUR SCREEN NAME SHOULD HAVE BEEN BARE-FOOT AND PREGNANT:)
Team "O," I really appreciate your support for Obama, but I have to tell you that this poster was responding to a nother poster who has/had nine kids, titled "mom of nine." This poster doesn't say she has nine kids; she was accusing "mom of nine," who says that she has nine kids, of believing that women should be barefoot and pregnant. I haven't read mom of nine's post(s) to see what this poster is replying to, but your comments about mom of nine, however crude, should be directed to her, not to this poster (who supported Hillary and/or supports Mccain). Unfortunately, I think mom of nine is an Obama supporter like you and me, so that wouldn't be that constructive. to say these things to her.
"...where are the Obama supporters who are supposed to be intelligent?" And you Clintonistas bemoan Obamabots bringing up exit poll data about the support of Hillary from uneducated white people, but now it's okay to call half of the Democratic party stupid for not selecting your candidate. Obama also gets the chrges of arrogance. Continuing a campaign past the point of being able to win, past the point of nomination is the EPITOME of arrogance. Turnabout's fair game, especially when the stats back up the ignorance/lack of education of some of her supporters, and the entitlement arrognace displayed by Clintonistas in the outright audacity of trying to hijack the election constantly threatened on these boards. "They have... put forth a candidate we cannot support." That's funny. I'm a DEMOCRAT first. My FIRST choice was John Edwards (and I am a black female). had Obama not gotten the nomination, I would have GLADLY supported Hillary over McCain, even though I didn't like how she campaigned. "So much for the intelligent supporters of Obama," which would now include your illustrious, beloved Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton. Is she also "unintelligent"? LOL It's the unfair, biased, sexist media - you mean the same media who called this race for HILLARY in the beginning and looped Wright and "bittergate" endlessly? It's the party we're angry with - the last I checked Hillary's still a DEMOCRAT (not a Repub or Independent), and going to be campaigning with "all her heart" for a fellow DEMOCRAT. Oops, I guess you were a Republican after all. Go vote for McCain then; I'm tired of all the threats. How is it that HALF of the party feels that they should be able to CONTROL the primaries AND the GE because their candidate LOST? Is that feminism or fair play? They all agreed to the same rules originally regardind FL and MI; he was as much victim of racism as she was sexism. They ran different campaigns (she wound up in debt, was GOP negative), but it was a FAIR fight. Even if DNC gives 4%/59 delegates back in MI, he still WINS. The party calendar just happened to benefit him. It could have turned out either way; and, it's historic either way. He could still put her on the ticket; it could STILL be even more historic for her (more than just the campaign run, if she actually gets to be V.P. and he gets elected). That party that you so despise right now, be PROUD that they put forth not one, but TWO historic candidates. What has the GOP done? old a$$ McSame. Oh, that's right, I don't care what you do. Go vote Republican. I'm sure it will benefit you greatly. LOL
I think Hillary ran a good Presidental Race. It takes Nerve and Courage to ask the People of the United States for them to give you a chance to Lead their Country. I also believe She will make a excelent Vice President. The American People need a Change. Not only how the Country is Run but also in who Runs the Country. My hat is off to Hillary and I do hope to see Hillary sitting next to the future President Barack Obama. Everyone has the rights to voice and that is mine.
Hillary didn't run a good presidential race. She ran her campaign into the red early on and expects to be able to to manage a national budget that is a trillion dollars and a deficit budget. Maybe she plans to manage the US budget like she did her campaign budget- just don't pay people you promised the money to. Hillary didn't pay the people here in Indiana that she rented space from when she came through Indiana during the primary. NICE!
Wow! what a cement mixer! I'm gonna stay outta this barrell.
At her Baruch College event in NYC just a few days ago, Hillary Clinton added her name to a Major League Baseball that was inscribed by the famous New York Yankees catcher Yogi Berra with the quote: ???It ain???t over till it???s over.??? Bill Clinton also signed his name to the ball. I am offering it on ebay. This Yogi Berra quote summarizes the essence of the Clintons??? drive to win and their spirited campaign style. Don???t count them out from politics just yet.
Sorry that the ball isn't worth much anymore. Guess that is why you are getting rid of it.
Please stay on Ebay and off the political blog. We don't wish to hear about your items for sale on Ebay
BILLS BALLS AUTOGRAPHED TOO ?
" IT AIN'T OVER TILL I DRIP ON YOUR BLUE DRESS "
SIGNED : BUBBA CLINTON.
Comment: Comment: HRC supporters - while I haven't been as successful as I hoped on this site, I have found many allies on other sites including noquarterusa.net and CNN. I'd like to rename our project: Operation Respect. The goal is to go after those who have used vile and malicious comments against Hillary and make sure there are consequences for them - in particular, the folks at Newsweek, MSNBC and their advertisers.
Initially, we just need to ensure we are not boosting rates at MSNBC and Newsweek sees their subscriptions drop (which will lower advertising revenue). Thereafter, we will go after the advertisers (just like the right wing has done successfully in some of their campaigns).. I will be back in touch with boycott details. Thanks to those of you who have added ideas and better tactics than I initially proposed.
Obama supporters - I don't think Barack is behind any of this nor is my anger directed at him (although some of you are really pissing me off calling HRC supporters, dumb, ignorant, stupid, etc.). Please stay out of this and let HRC supports redress our grievances with the people that are really behind our anger.
HRC supporters - I know many of you are angry at Obama. CNN polls show that 17% of HRC supporters will vote for McCain and 22% plan to stay home. I understand. The GE is 5 months away. In the meantime, let's see if we can bring down Keith Olbermann, Chris Matthews, Howard Fineman, Jonathan Alter, etc., to at least take the edge off
DON'T FORGET TIRED AND OLD; I HATE THE WICKED WITCH THE MOST.
To "Tired and Old"...you have an awful lot of hatred coming through over an election campaign. Maybe you should seek mecidal advice?
PLEASE DEFINE " MECIDAL " ?
You must be one of the repulsive old codgers that my husband has the unfortunate experience of golfing with at his senior citizens republican nazi club.
NOPE !
BUT I KEEP AN EYE ON THEM NAZI BIGOTS.
You know the people you are attacking are providing this forum to you for free Right??? Just checking
I am a Democrat but I lost respect for Newsweek long ago because so many of their news stories are really just opinion pieces. I no longer subscribe to the magazine, not as part of any organized boycott (which I hate because I like to make my own decisions on my own time). No sure why I read this article about Hillary on the web today, but it just reinforced my negative view of Newsweek. The only good thing about the magazine is Farheed. In any case, I think it's silly to talk about how many Clinton supporters will vote for McCain just because "our girl" didn't make it. We are too intelligent to make such a nonsensical switch. In any case, whether Hillary gets depressed or not is hardly an issue------although public figures are always subject to such scrutiny. Journalists should be looking for and reporting real news instead of indulging in what sounds like beauty/barbar shop gossip.
For "Will not vote Obama" on taxation: If you earn enough that any of his policies will actually increase your taxes, how lucky you must be in life. Sadly, none of his policies will raise my taxes. If I could double my annual income to reach a level where he could raise my taxes, I would gladly do so and view it as the dues I owe the society which allows me to do so well in life. I would support the Christian Childrens Fund and find new charities to donate to as well. As for Capital Gains Taxes, would that God would give me such a headache to endure. Your fears and rantings fall on deaf ears for the bulk of Americans. Take your wealth and move to a better country if you don't feel like paying for the priviledge this one has obviously granted you. No one will miss you here.
Right about now I'm pretty disgusted with Oprah Winfrey, the Kennedys, and I have never liked Jimmy Carter! Cater put my dad out of a job during the middle of a cold war and the Iran situation I don't trust him and I never will. As far as Oprah and the others I can just turn off my television. As a life long democrat I will vote aganist my party unless Hillary is on the ticket. I am not ready for Mechelle to be first lady.
You CAN vote for Hillary in the final election - There is a blank spot for those of us who what to write our own candidate of choice in - THIS IS NOT OVER - if all Hillary's supporters vote for her by writting her name in on the final ballot it will be pretty hard to ignore over 18 million written in votes for Hillary Rodman Clinton - don't cha think???
DEAD IDEA.
Texgal and Tired and Old..there really ARE nazi's left in the USA????
YUP !
THEY USED TO HAVE HEADQUARTERS IN ARLINTON, VIRGINIA; " THE AMERICAN NAZI PARTY."
MEMBERSHIP ! VERY LITTLE.
Detestconservatives , you have some serious. Maybe you should open your eyes and shut your mouth for a change.
Deadrea, you I would say are a sorer loser just like Hillary. Honey she lost get over it.
Yes,. she will deal with depression. So what. Suck it up and drive on. We didn't need a Clinton in the White House again.
Short and sweet. I like that. I just copied and pasted it into a document so I can reuse it when Obama loses to McCain this Fall.
That won't happen. Obama wins by a landslide. The Reps know it.
If he does, Hillary will come come and slaythe republicans in 2012 with another bif for the White House. Suck it up.
Detestconservatives, Hillary will NEVER be president of this country. Mark my words and your calendar
The Clinton gang is HISTORY..................
Hey, you know what they say, never say NEVER. It can come back and bite you in your face. LOL.
quoting aliasnic @ 06/08/2008 9:46:37 PM who said
"I am terribly disappointed in the irresponsible journalism of Newsweek. Depression is a serious medical issue and should not be used to sell magazines. As an African American and a well-educated woman, either of the two candidates were a win-win situation for me. Unfortunately, as a life-long democrat , I could never be more disgusted by the misogyny of the biased media posing as objective journalists or more ashamed of the DNC coup. All I can say is that many of my "sisters" shall REMEMBER come NOVEMBER."
I am also black, female, and well educated. I was really disturbed by some of the tactics Hillary and her team used in this campaign and in the beginning I really waffled as to who I was going to support but after the "White's won't vote for Obama" comment that came out of her mouth, I went solidly behind Obama. SHE said that, the press only reported it.
But if your issue is with the press, why would you say you and your SISTERS will "remember come november"? The press aren't running for President. Obama is Are you saying you're going to hold Obama responsible for what the press did? What about all the Reverend Wright business and that whole thing with pictures floating around of Obama in tribal dress and rumors that he was actually Muslim? Why aren't you holding the press responsible for that crap? Is it because Hillary lost and Obama didn't? Would you be as angry if Hillary had won instead?
Call yourself a feminist if you want to but be rational. Who ya' gonna vote for? McCain? Get real. It was an ugly run for both sides but no one insinuated that Hillary was anti-American, or of a religous persuasion that many Americans despise , or found a "Reverend Wright" type figure to parade out to the press over and over and over which almost killed the man's campaign. He prevailed through all that nonsense and because of that I am 100% solidly behind him and you should be too.
100 % AND SPARTAN COMMITTED !
Are you naive enough to believe that a man can worship in the same church and with the same pastor for TWENTY YEARS and have no clue what kind of person stands at the pulpit each week? I wouldn't endorse anyone - black - white - purple - man - woman or - other - that embraces the "I dunno attitude." Is that what we have to look forward to in a potential leader for this country? Wow! That's scary! It doesn't take a Rocket Scientist to recognize the man is either an idiot or a liar.
And you base this on what, a couple of snipettes from YouTube? How do you know what he said for the last 20 years. Don't be ignorant.
HARD FOR THE DEAD TO DO.
First of all, I never claimed to be a feminist. Secondly, no where did I mention Mr. Obama's name in my comment. My frustration was directed at the biases of the media and the ineptness of the DNC. In reality, neither of the candidates have "clean hands". Not Mrs. Clinton and definitely not Mr. Obama. I will not even throw the likes of Mr. Wright (because there is nothing reverend about him) or Mr. Farrakhan into the conversation. And finally, thank you for suggesting that I should be "100% solidly behind [Obama] him" also, but I do not subscribe to the idea of "black utility hueristics." Besides, I am quite capable of my intelligent decisions on my own.
Its great to see you Dems are still fighting like children.. It helps guarantee McCain the White House. So Obama supporters keep gloating and kicking Clinton supporters while their down. Clinton supporters are welcome to join us Independents voting for McCain. He is a candidate who has brought bipartisan cooperation in the senate not Obama.. Oh, I agree by the way that the media was unfair to Clinton the whole campaign. Obama was their media darling. Too bad, He can't beat McCain unless he begs Clinton for her support.. This Newsweek article is just another example of media bias towards Hillary Clinton and her family, Newsweek has her suffering from depression now? Hey that's tabloid journalism at it's finest..
Hi Independent. Im an Independent and am in the process of looking for options beyond Obama right now, not that Ive totally written him off. But I have mcCains site url. Are there other areas on the internet that you could refer me to that is reputable as a source to view info about McCain? .
How about checking out wikipeidia? I looked up all three there, and the coverage seemed pretty even-handed. Again, I would suggest the AP Fact File for an Obama-McCain comparison on the issues.
ok, i'll check that out too. thanks
YOU MAY LIKE ANIMAL SITES AS WELL; IF YOU PREFER, SHEEP.
TO ALL DEMOCRATS - both Obama and Hillary supporters - read the original post very carefully. He is correct, the republicans love the fact that we are beating each other up.
Of course, he is wrong about McCain. What you'll get with McCain is four more years just like the last eight. But if we keep fighting among ourselves, that is exactly what we are going to get.
A BRIGHT NEW DAY FOR A CLEAR THINKING ZIGGY WOMAN.
HOW NICE !
"To all of the CRY-BABY WOMEN OUT THERE, DAMN NEAR READY TO DROWN IN YOUR TEARS... I do wish that I was there to give you a good, open-handed smack, right in the kisser, in order to help you helpless dames to SNAP OUT OF IT!!!!! Women are more empowered in this day and age than ever before... Get your heads out of your PREP-H HOLES and do something with your lives... So you married the Wrong Dude or are too ugly to get married... Get over it and quit psyching your Daughters into buying that particular line of sh!^... If large numbers of African-Americans can do it WELL THEN, YOUR SORRY ENTITLED WHITE TAZZ SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO IT... Depression is nothing more than some Phoq-Up's excuse as to why they are unwilling to take the actions needed, in order to change their situation...
OBAMA WILL BRING CHANGE, IN 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 (beyond that, check the Book of Revela..."
This is one of the most important reasons I am seriously considering voting for McCain. This campaign of Hope fueled by Hate, even in victory, does not impress or inspire me. I have read it all through this primary season and it does not help your candidate. You should have stopped while you were ahead and not included this trash in your "informed" intellectual reasoning of support for your candidate. Go beat up on someone else. There are some cultures that do not allow a man to "smack" a woman to make her behave. Keep it up; you are making it easier and easier for me for November.
It is very interesting to hear someone advocating domestic violence against supporters of Hillary Clinton. The fact is there are over 1000 women murdered by their boyfriends or husbands each and every year in the United States. The rate of domestic violence against women is almost three times greater for black women. So you can see that this idea might appeal to some people more than others. My husband is also a Hillary Clinton supporter who will never vote for Obama - the DNC and Media and Chicago Democratic Machine selected candidate.
DOES YOUR PUSSYCAT HUBBY WEAR A PANTSUIT TOO ?
TOUGH BROAD !
I spent the last hour or so reading the blogs. The female Hillary supporters on this site are amazing. They keep stating 'sexism and media bias' are the reasons she lost which as a woma totally infuriates me. The majority of the so called 'media bias' revolved around the statements concerning the historical facts of this campaign. After all, Hillary Clinton is a woman so pointing out she is the first viable female candidate for President was not sexism, any more than, pointing out Barrack Obama was the first viable black Presidental candidate was racist.
The truth is the preceived 'sexism' worked in Hillary Clinton's favor. The more older women felt she was being discriminated against because of her 'sex' the more they voted for her. Not to mention, the way some of the people on this blog sound, they only voted for her because she was a woman and the fomer First Lady. If this is the case, then, you dishonored her. I personally do not care for Senator Clinton. I do not see the 'experience' others talk about. She was married to the President, she was not the President.
If you claim you voted for her because of her policies concerning Heathcare, etc., then, the only logical choice in November is Senator Obama because their policies are almost identical. The only difference in the two Senators is their individual plans on how to implement said policies.
Therefore, those of you who are refusing to vote for him and only doing so due to reverse 'sexism'. He is a man ergo he does not deserve your vote.
VERY GOOD !
This is one of the stupidest and truly reprehensible articles I have read. I am a Republican but I am really starting to feel sorry for Hillary Clinton. She is a decent person who doesn't deserve this treatment. I get the feeling that Smalley and Thomas are reveling in and thoroughly enjoying her misery. Get off her case! This kind of journalism (or shall we call it tabloid news) is why I cancelled my subscription to Newsweek last year after a 20 year continuous subscription.
REPUGNANT REPUBLICAN WITCH DOCTOR ?
I dont' feel the need to prove it to anyone. You don't hear me crying about it. I'm just pointing out facts.
But I do find it odd Hillary supporters want to have their ass kissed. It ain't gonna happen. What is going to happen is we're all going to get a choice between a Democrat and a Republican. You can vote how you want. Your candidate, Hillary Clinton, has clearly laid out to you why she thinks the only sane thing for you to do is vote for Obama based on the issues. Not on getting your ass kissed. But it's a free country do whatever you want.
TO ALL THOSE THAT THOUGHT A COLLEGE KID SHOULD NOT DECIDE THIS NOMINATION RACE.
THIS COMMENT IS WHY THEY SHOULD BE HEARD.
THEY WANT WHAT IS RIGHT .
Hillary didn't lose anything, she won a hell of a lot! I don't see her as being depressed, with 18 million Americans behind her. She seemed very up and sensible, and ready to go the mile to assure that a Democrat is in the White House. Thats her focus now. If that doesn't happen, thats when you might see her depressed, as well as millions of other Americans. I think she still has a good chance of being selected for VP. Considering how close Obama is running to McCain, it sure would be a strong ticket with both Obama and Clinton. I believe there are millions who think the same, including many important Democrats. It's just you sexist males that don't want her there for all the wrong reasons, and it could cost us another Republican regime. Even though it would be fun to say we told you so, I'd rather we not have to.
AFTER ALL HER NEGATIVE ATTACKS ON OBAMA, WICKED WITCH NEEDS TO KISS HIS ASS.
You had better hope that both Clintons help Obama win because the economy is in the toilet, the dollar is sinking, foreclosures and credit mistakes have ruined the housing market for years o come. It isn't just the sub-prime people now, it is everyone suffering from the fallout. The price of gasoline and stagflation will discourage recovery. The only reason the stock market has held up is because we have a global market that has provided a false sense of security. That too will crash eventually because the global market depends on America's enormous consumption, which is grinding down. Obama isn't going to know what to do unless he gets a lot of help. Our economy is much worse than most realize. T he housing industry held it up for several years but will not recover because almost everyone could qualify under the old credit industry's greedy scam. They will not now buy, forcing an enormous inventory of housing on the market that will stay or force prices down. In poorer markets the houses will just stay there empty, deteriorating. Building is already slowing with builders going bankrupt, workers laid off, construction purchasing going down. The poor are getting poorer, people can't afford health care and food even when they have insurance. Often they can't pay the deductible or co-pay. The government is busy ripping payments from physicians in Medicare. If we don't obtain universal healthcare, we will not have access. Obama doesn't want to mandate that young healthy people buy insurance, a fact that will drive costs up for those who are older or have pre-existing conditions. Insurance companies won't insure them without healthy young people to offset costs. It is a logical thing. Think it through. We are going to need major changes in this country. Obama is so ill-experienced to handle the mess Bush and the GOP made.
I HAVE FAITH IN CHANGE ----------- OBAMA WILL SURPRISE YOU !
