McCain was asked today if he had any idea when the troops would come home, his response was "That's not too important, what's important is the casulties of our troops.

families are stating McCain should no better than to make such statement, it is clear that McCain will keep our troops in the war for quite sometime. With no exit plan he continues to respond by saying they will stay the course. Finally, John McCain was speaking with a group TODAY and tried to quote Obama and was way off base.

There is no way this man will ever receive my vote, my vote will make a difference in our government and I pray we have a democrat President in office to help get us back on track.

Author: McCain Called Wife ***, Trollop
In his book The Real McCain, author Cliff Schecter claims that John McCain made extremely ugly remarks about his wife Cindy McCain during a tirade witnessed by three reporters and two aides. "At one point, Cindy playfully twirled McCain's hair and said, 'You're getting a little thin up there,'" Schechter writes. "McCain's face reddened, and he responded, 'At least I don't plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you ***.' McCain's excuse was that it had been a long day. If elected president of the United States, McCain would have many long days

As a veteran (1999-2003), former Hillary support and a black male, I feel the anger of many of my Hillary supporters brothers and sisters. Obama has not won me over either and this beliefe that we will all just fall inline because there is no one else better to vote for. It shows me just how faulted this two party system is and how it needs to change.

Every American has to right to vote for the people they believe in. I do feel Obama supports comments in how does this serves the party. My answer is to look at the war in Iraq. We have American soldiers fighting and dying for Democracy. A democracy that is not defined by two parties who have never really cared about the people and have been brought for by corporations.

Obama supporters..I do want change and believe this country desires change. However, I want to vote for someone who is running to become the President. I am not voting for a demigod or a Black Moses who is going to lead/uplift Black Americans into a new Promised Land. Harriet Turman and many other black figures had fulfilled this role and in good part.

Furthermore, this arguement that voting for Obama addresses some great political redress in America can be easily achieved my replacing Obama with a full blooded Native American Indian. No group in America is "owed" more then the Native American Indians. Ironically, we just lost one candidate because everyone said she felt entitled the the nomination. Does not this argument also ring of entitlement?

Hillary supporters. I do agree with Obama supporters in that how does voting for Mc Cain show your support for Hillary and all that she stood for. I will not vote for Obama or Mc Cain. I have decided to vote for Ralph Nader. Why Nader?

    1) He has fought for change in Washington longer then either of the other candidates.
    2) He is a man of wealth but has use his wealth and position in life to fight for the little guy.
    3) Voting for either Mc Cain or Obama will give the winning candidate a false Mandate of Heaven from the America people.
    4) Voting for Nader would open the eyes of two RULING PARTIES and the media that the American people will no longer be used and treated like cattle.
    5) He is the only third party candidate with 6% of the vote.
    6) Voting for Nader is to truly fulfill the dreams of the founding fathers for a democratic nation run by the people, by the people, Not the media. Not DNC or RNC but you and I

In conclusion, please think about why you voted for Hillary. I understand why you refuse to vote for Obama. But you must ask yourself how those voting for Mc Cain improve anything. Please open your minds, hearts, wallets, and patrioism to the real vote for change in this election Ralph Nader.

It's the "qualifiers" that crack me up....

I'm a black, female, single mother of 8, veteran, handicap, 4 kids in Iraq, they're black, mexican, white, and korean, we are all born again christian converted from muslim, with POW MIA veteran father and working class abused mother...blah blah blah.

The second anybody posts the "qualifiers" you know something lame is coming and they need to try to get all the "validity" they can...lol

    • Posted By: Alvy @ 06/10/2008 1:07:59 PM

Good one. Let me see, you are a black man with profound empathy toward the Hills blue hairs - and are voting for Nader. Good one. Because the DNC is no longer good for you? Hmmm. You don't seem real. Chaos?

      • Posted By: haynessemperfi @ 06/10/2008 1:51:32 PM

        Alvy,...

It appears that you must hold to the sentiment that all blacks have to vote for Obama. Sorry but when I went to the black drinking fountain that was not passed to me. Maybe, I was not "black enough" because I won't vote for Obama. Are we going to go back to the days of light skins vs black skins?

Whether or not, I vote for Obama. It will do nothing to stop the old white women who grabs their purse tighter when I get on the elevator. It will not stop the store assistant from following me so much that they overlook the other non-black stealing right and left under their noses. Electing Obama President will do nothing to stop the daily baise that blacks and black males express everyday.

Good post, I wish we would hear from more people who have been or are currently in the military.
With so much discussion by people here "in the states" (read civilians) about the "war" (read only Iraq) i wish that more military personnel would speak up and say what they want to see happen. Truly, the war belongs to those who are overseas, anywhere, and are fighting the war. The war isn't what we see in the media. BTW. my son-in-law is currently in the Green Zone.

I agree, except that I will vote for McCain. Obama is not qualified, and it would be dangerous for the country to have him as commander-in-chief.

    Clinton, McCain and the B-word

At a campaign event in South Carolina Monday, a female supporter asked John McCain: "How do we beat the ***?"

If the Arizona senator objected to that particular characterization of Sen. Hillary Clinton, he didn't exactly say so.

Instead, as the room erupted in laughter, McCain said he'd try to offer a "translation." Somebody in the audience shouted out, "I thought she was talking about my ex-wife." There was more laughter all around, and then McCain said: "That's an excellent question."

McCain cited a recent Rasmussen poll showing him with a statistically insignificant two-point lead over Clinton, then finally got around to saying, "I respect Sen. Clinton, and I respect anyone who gets the nomination of the Democrat Party."

And yes, as Talking Points Memo notes, that would be the same John McCain who immediately distanced himself from the comments of his own mother when she took a dig at Mitt Romney's Mormon faith

How destructive to the U.S. economy would a Barack Obama presidency be?

An exclusive Newsmax analysis warns: There could be a very rough time ahead.

Beneath Obama's flowery rhetoric lies a dangerous economic plan that will wreak havoc on the American economy.

Obama plans to return to the failed policies of high taxation coupled with an expansion of government spending.

Worse, Obama says he is absolutely committed to almost doubling the capital gains rate ??? something he will easily accomplish with a Democrat Congress.

In the coming months ??? when investors realize that Obama will raise the cap gains rate ??? there could be a stampede of asset sales as investors rush to take their profits now to avoid Obama's doubling of the tax rates next year.

All of these issues and more are explored in Newsmax magazine's special report "Obamanomics ??? the Coming Tax-and-Spend Nightmare," by Wall Street Journal columnist John Fund.

This Newsmax magazine special report gives Americans the first in-depth look at the Democratic presidential candidate's likely strategies ??? and how they will affect not just the larger economy, but your personal wealth as well.

Indeed, Obama makes no bones about his plans to go on a tax rampage. Not only would he increase the capital-gains tax rate from 15 percent to as much as 28 percent, he wants to allow the 2001 and 2003 Bush tax cuts to expire in 2010, which effectively raises taxes on Americans by tens of billions of dollars.

He also wants to do away with the $102,000 FICA payroll tax cap, which means anyone making over $102,000 would pay an additional 7 percent in taxes on earned income.

And the loan dividend tax rate George Bush implemented? Under President Obama it will be DOA!

    • Posted By: HDavidson @ 06/11/2008 5:56:17 PM

Hey Einstein, just FYI BUSH ALREADY TRASHED THE ECONOMY! So not really a big prediction there, it will take YEARS to fix what BUSH F@#KED UP! Now we all KNOW that the repugs will try to blame the dems for it in the coming years, but IT WAS BUSH THAT DESTROYED THIS COUNTRY...the GW history has judged you.

  • Posted By: Core Democrat in Texas @ 06/10/2008 6:07:01 PM

Being "for Clinton" and being "against Obama" are two separate matters.
Obama supporters think the dems who don't like Obama will "come around"; they think the issues are "emotions", "hurt feelings", "anger". They simply cannot grasp the idea that people think Obama is not qualified to lead this country. I had one young, idealistic blogger who honestly thought no one disliked Obama.
I certainly will not vote for Obama. And I think when history writes about this election, it will be seen as some kind of collective insanity, mindless Obama-worship by the media and most of his supporters.
I think many blacks actually made a rational decision -- they want to see a black president. But most of his supporters are just looking for a prophet and following the media.

    • Posted By: HDavidson @ 06/11/2008 5:50:45 PM

First of all you sound like BUSH "when history writes..." It is about being BUTT HURT!, you can try to hide it all you like or deny with all your might, but that fact remains. Look at the bloggs before he WON, all the crying eyes, and calls for CHEATING TO WIN, just to have a WOMAN in the white house. It is what it is, pull yourself together and don't kill thousands more by voting for McCain, WTF are you thinking. I mean do you really think Hill had more exp...lol she is 36 of 49, Obama is 39 of 49. What a gap...lol
It's funny how the truth scares you, and taking a good look at yourself is something YOU never want to do...

I was going to make a comment about "what if" mccain got in office, but that idea is so laughable, it's not even worth discussing.

    • Posted By: LMAO @ 06/11/2008 2:23:53 PM

I am not sure that most blacks were rational as I fail to see the hullabaloo over Mr. Obama. As a black person living in America , I personally think it is a disgrace that folks rush to elevate a man who was complicit in the self-destruction of the black community. For 20 years he sat by and allowed trusting black folks to wallow in the self-defeatism dished out by Rev. Wright. This is the same defeatist thought that is echoed through the African-American community today. Where was the message of "HOPE & CHANGE"? Where was the "YES WE CAN" cry when it was needed most? Who better to transform that backward thinking group than someone unscathed by the 60s? Just think what could have been if Mr. Obama had shown a modicum of leadership (or at the very least walked away). But he did absolutely nothing! Just thinking of his non-action send chills through my bones and evokes a wellspring of sadness that will never be assuaged.

I am even more grateful today that I was blessed with parents whose vision have long transcended race. Failing that, I and siblings could have easily been among the causalities of the missteps and missed opportunities that were there for the taking after the Civil Rights era. The selfless action by M art in Luther who paid the ultimate price is who should be lauded as being a hero "for all of us that have dreams and hope". That is, he did what was right without a single thought of the personal gains (or harm) to himself.

Finally, I would challenge every voter this November to think well on this and ask yourself if you could with a clear conscience give this man a pass - NO I CAN'T. For we become who we are by the folks we look to as heroes.

I just cannot believe Hillary can't get the respect she deserves.that speech had to be one of the hardest things she has ever had to do and still the media is tearing her to pieces. I wonder if you will have the same respect for Michelle Obama?

    • Posted By: joe_mama @ 06/08/2008 7:26:36 PM

I agree. It was a brilliant speech. The best I've seen (from any candidate) this season. In fact, had she given that speech in September instead of June, even I might have voted for her!

And no, they will not have the same respect for Michelle Obama. (Obama pushed her into the background after that "proud of my country" flap, but I'm certain the Republicans will make it an issue. )

      • Posted By: loriw @ 06/08/2008 9:32:13 PM

Hillary was 40 minutes late to delivery her speech, we all had to watch vehicles for 40 minutes while news commmentators reminisced how that was so typical of the Clintons to be late for events and had occurred so often during the Clinton years. I work late shift and got up early to see the speech only to sit there waiting when I could have still been sleeping. HOW RUDE OF HRC to think her time is so much more important than all of ours. And they can't figure out why we don't like them. The speech-nothing I didn't already know from the news leaks. and what I really wanted didn't happen (her to quit).

          • Posted By: loriw @ 06/09/2008 8:00:31 PM

You all don't get it. I don't want Hillary on the ticket at all. I don't care if her voters vote Obama or McCain or someone else. They have to decide for themselves.
No one has won anything since Hillary is just suspended and has not conceded.
The speech contained more stretched "facts" that didn't make sense if you really take time to think about her wording. So Joemama I disagree with your post and your comment that it was a brilliant speech.

            • Posted By: joe_mama @ 06/11/2008 12:20:20 PM

              No lori....YOU don't get it.

I don't want Clinton on the ticket either, but at least I'm mature enough to recognize she did what she had to do, and she did a good job at it.

I don't give a rat's @$$ how late you work or how long you had to wait....if you can't evaluate the speech (good or bad) on its own merits then start your own thread about "punctuality".

BTW--I've been volunteering for the Obama campaign since before Iowa...he's NEVER given a speech at the on time...and you know what? I DON"T CARE! All I care about is what they say, not when they say it, which was the purpose of my post.

Quit jackin' and start your own threads!

I8 million democrats , the Hillary Clinton supporters know Hillary had the hardest time in her endorsement speech to say the words to support Obama. This divided party will not be able to unite fully in the traditional and historical sense. There is just too much pain and animosity to go around. Its wise to concede to this fact just as everyone forced Hillary to concede the fact she can't win. Obama has a lot to restore to just gather enough democrats to move him into the White House. Still think there is something coming out that will harm Obama...there's so many things that can fly out from left field on this guy..still can't see how he was able to evade these blows....in the past his controversies would have sunk any Presidential candidate...either he's very lucky or the people are not thinking properly....just don't know.

    • Posted By: joe_mama @ 06/09/2008 5:36:52 AM

"in the past his controversies would have sunk any Presidential candidate"

You mean the same way being a drunk coke-head sunk President Bush II's run to the White House?
Or how being a womanizing pot smoker (but not inhaler) kept Bill Clinton out of the White House?
Or how being squeaky clean helped Michael Dukakis, Bob Dole, Al Gore, and John Kerry ascend to the nation's highest post?
I'm not even going to mention Kennedy ('nuff said) or Roosevelt (who's mistress was well known at the White House).

In summation: You don't know what you're talking about. Perhaps you should familiarize yourself with American history before attempting to discuss it.

CC also didn't get the fact that Hillary didn't concede as we wanted her to but SUSPENDED her campaign.
CC that allows her to delude herself into thinking that she can still weasel her way into the ticket. CC that allows her to continue to collect campaing donations from poor folk who think she and Bill deserve to get back into the White House that they disgraced and robbed last time they were there. CC that allows her to pretend that Obama will pick her as VP.

          • Posted By: joe_mama @ 06/09/2008 3:31:42 PM

            lori--

I wouldn't go that far. The Clintons didn't "rob" anything from the White House and she has to keep collecting donations so she can pay off her debt.

In fact, my response had nothing to do with Hillary Clinton and I only mentioned Bill Clinton because of the blemishes on his record.

There are plenty of reasons to criticize candidates in all the parties, there's no reason for you to make more up....even if they are about the Clintons.

If you do, please place them in a different post/reply so people don't get distracted as to the original purpose of my post: that Barack Obama's alledged "blemishes" are nothing compared to those who preceded him, and that those without "blemishes" are not guaranteed election.

Edwards' campaign is suspended, too. That's normal - this is historic, and both campaigns have a lot to be proud of - including each candidate getting more votes - period - than all candidates combined in 2004 - and then some. They deserve to cast votes for the first woman candidate at the DNC, and Obama knows and respects that. It's bloggers that seem to want to keep tearing people apart about this.

Comment: Hillary is the only sensible choice for VP.

John Kerry lost to Bush with 59 million votes. Bush had 62 million votes.

Hillary + Obama in the 2008 Primary: 36 million votes. John Edwards - less than 400,000.

John Kerry in the 2004 Primary: 6.78 million votes
John Edwards in the 2004 Primary: 2.78 million votes

Hillary Clinton is not the enemy of any democrat. She was the enemy of Obama supporters for 16 months of what felt like trench warfare. But neither she nor her supporters are REALLY our enemies. Together we're one big democratic family.

And Obama and his supporters, even the stupid rude ones, are not any Clinton supporters enemy. We have a bigger agenda, and a bigger target now.

    McCain

    Anti-McCain arguments..

"If you want this country to spiral downhill faster that it already is vote for a democrat."

    Completely spurious AND subjective argument.

We've had exactly 8 years of democrats in 28 years..I'd say the spiraling is Republican's fault, just going by the numbers here.

If the Republicans have had 2.5 times the amount of time in office as democrats have then who's had the better chance to affect things? The morally reprehensible worshippers of money and power, most of them hollow tin soldier Republicans of today ARE what is causing the problem. Numbers don't lie.

"If you want the criminals to continue to have more rights than you have vote democrat"

Funny, I never have seen Republicans change any of this, have you? Or do you just believe they WILL because they say so?

I mean they have been in complete power for the last 8 years, you'd think if they had any intention of doing so, or any plan for doing so, or any intention of keeping their promises to you to do so..

MAYBE, just MAYBE..they'd have done at least some of it by now. I guess people who vote republican would rather hear pretty lies from corrupted strong men than see real change in ANYTHING.

The lesser of the two evils McCain.

OMG, you have got to be kidding. He's the biggest wind bag, waste of stuffed suit material, hollow little liar all filled to the lips with Bush & Co propaganda, out there. He's not even strong enough to pull his own coalition and his own party. That's why he has had to cave to the Bush League on EVERY Issue. And get his lines and marching orders from his minder Lieberman.

Examples include but are not limited to:

"Torture is against the Geneva Convention, and against the moral integrity of America". Except that the big President man says...Torture is Ok..screw having morals or ethics or even being decent Christians.

Spying on Americans is GOOD..after all we can't trust anyone with something dangerous like FREEDOM..they might abuse it.

"The tax-cuts for the rich are against my conscience"..oh wait I need those people to fund my campaign..so.I mean tax cuts for the rich are an absolute necessity to stabilize the economy. Is that OK Cindy?

"No political party should pander to agents of intolerance"..but jeez.. I need Hagee's endorsement or the righties won't vote for me..so I'll hold my nose and just swallow.

    And for a quick visual:

D, this is ridiculous. Obama won by following the rules. He won the most delegates and the popualr vote which by the rules, includes the caucus states.. The people have spoken, enough already. If Hillary's supp. want to show what bitter and sore losers they are by attending the convention and running havoc and making a circus of democracy, well then go right ahead, shame yourselves and your candidate. Ask yourselves this though, does Hillary want and need more grief?

        • Posted By: Core Democrat in Texas @ 06/10/2008 6:05:37 PM

Obama has won under the DNC rules. He won more pledged delegates (even if you don't include the 4 that the DNC took away from Hillary and gave to him), not enough to get the nomination, but when these are added to his superdelegates, he will get the nomination. The superdelegates will give him the nomination, but that is what the DNC rules allow (Obama supporters railed against superdelegates when Hillary had more, but that's their right.).
Yes, he did play by those rules. He was helped by the DNC and media, but under the rules, he won.
He did not get the popular vote, more people voted for Hillary than for him. But that's irrelevant under the DNC rules; popular vote does not count.
Likewise, the DNC rules allow superdelegates to consider whatever they wish, and vote however they wish. People have a consitutional right to march, or protest, or attempt to lawfully influence superdelegates if they wish.
So Obama's campaign did what they needed to do and had a right to do under the rules to get the nomination. LIkewise, people who want superdelegates to vote against him will do and have a right to do whatever is lawful and permitted under the rules.to accomplish their goals. Neither your position nor their position is holier than the other, they are just different. The only "holiness" is in the mind of the actor.

As a Clinton supporter, just because Mrs. Clinton asked us to support B.O. does not mean that we will. We have not been "courted" by Obama's camp and were told basically to "fall in line." That's exactly what men think that we should just be "good little girls" and "fall in line." We do not believe in him and therefore many of us are not and WILL NOT support him. It doesn't have anything to do with race. He's inexperienced and is basically a puppet for all of his advisors. We have lived through 8 years of someone not knowing what in the heck they were doing. I REFUSE to live through that again. B.O. had the nerve to mention the benefits of the Clinton administration...the economy in particular. Then that means we need a Clinton back in office. Not someone that wants to "play" president. If it means that we will cross party lines...so be it. We are for who will be the best president, make the best decisions...not the most charasmatic!!!

    • Posted By: Core Democrat in Texas @ 06/10/2008 5:49:01 PM

I agree. Being "for Clinton" and being "against Obama" are two separate matters.
They think the dems who don't like Obama will "come around"; they think the issues are "emotions", "hurt feelings", "anger".
But most of his supporters are just looking for a prophet and following the media.

issue 1: Obama will work hard for every vote he just won the nomination maybe a week ago. He is not looking for anyone to just fall in line. If you refuse to live through another 8 years of someone you stated doesn't know what he is doing and also say you will cross party lines, what a contradiction because McCain has Bush policies, the thing is some people don't even keep an open mind and give Obama a chance to continue campaigning so they can here all the facts.

There are many Hillary supporters who are backing Obama so don't think her supporters are running to McBush, yes some but not majority, because as Hillary said we democrats know whats at stake here.

Just to give you an update on the latest speech from McCain here it goes:

John McCain issued a promise Tuesday that may cause a bit of unrest with a broad swath of voters:

      He'll veto every single beer?

In a slip of the tongue while railing against excessive earmarks at the National Small Business Summit in Washington, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee inadvertently pledged to veto the popular alcoholic beverage.

If you didn't get that McCain said he will "VETO EVERY SINGLE BEER"
WHAT I SAY, WHAT and you are doubting Obama who is a Harvard grad with better plans for our government, WHAT

While I don't agree with everything Obama has in store for us if he wins the election, I simply refuse to vote for another 4 years of GOP politics. There is no way that Ralph Nader will ever win the election, so why waste a vote allowing McCain a steamroll to victory?

But I truly believe that he will be a breath of fresh air for this country and will definitely improve our foreign relations. I enjoy traveling and have been to quite a few countries, It never fails I am asked what is wrong with us, why are we such bullies and my favorite from an Italian "What the hell is wrong with Bush"!

      saycricket...

Please open your mind to that fact that third party candidate needs only 34% of the popular vote per state. Nader needs only California, Florida, Ohio, and Pennyslavania to block either Mc Cain or Obama from the White House. Neither candidate could secure the need electoral college votes to become President without those states. It is mathically impossible.

Nader is at 6% now and he haven't been allowed to debate. Perot jumped up 10% after he was allowed to date. If Nader is allowed to debate, he will jump up more points especially if McCain's townhall meeting formate is used. This would allow Nader to debate 10 times before November. He will secure 34% in the Midwest where Obama and Mc Cain are both weak.

Even if he does not win but is able to secure at least one state, it will send a clear message to Washington that the old days of two parties is over and if they do not want lost House and Senate seats in 2010. They have better start getting off their butts and get things done. It will be a serious walk up call in December.

      • Posted By: Mimi13 @ 06/10/2008 4:28:23 PM

You keep posting this but your math is screwy. A third party could win with 34% ONLY if the two major parties split the rest of the vote evenly 33%-33%. Not very likely. If the Dems got 35% and the GOP got 31%, the third party would still lose. The last third party candidate to get ANY Electoral College votes was George Wallce in 1968 who carried 5 southern states. Perrot, Nadar, Anderson all got nothing. And the fact of the matter is that parties will control the electoral process as long as we have a system in which a candidate can win with a plurality of votes instead of a majority, or with regard to Electoral College votes, as long as they are awarded wininer-take-all instead of proportional to the vote (two states currently do award votes proportionally).. The hurdles are too high for an independent in most elections. However, if there were three parties and they splite the vote. . .say . . .35% Dem, 34% Independent, and 31% GOP. . .then there would be a run-off between the Dem and the Indy and a thrid party might actually have a chance. But, a plurality vote with winner-take-all will always favor a two-party dominant system -- this is a key rule in political science.

      • Posted By: loriw @ 06/10/2008 3:53:12 PM

Perot jumped up 10% after he was allowed to date. Isn't he kind of old to date? Just kidding.
I agree that we need to get away from only a 2 party country. More competition is usually a good thing.
Brings different perspectives into the mainstream. Almost voted for Perot long, long time ago. How old is he now?

We will support you soldiers and get McBush out of office

For you that don't get it and feels McBush will give you a better 8 years I ask how is that when he has the same policies as the current President with the lowest ratings in Presidental history. If you are a democrat and feels disrespected by Hillary loss, I ask you to get pass this as you would fighting with your family, at some point you work it out. The democrats need to stand strong and vote our democrat in office with so much at stake. Here are more facts to why: Please keep an open mind. I don't expect the republicans to give a dam because there motto is to get richer and richer, no worries for our economy, the lower and middle class.

Behind the door of Army Spec. Jeremy Duncan's room, part of the wall is torn and hangs in the air, weighted down with black mold. When the wounded combat engineer stands in his shower and looks up, he can see the bathtub on the floor above through a rotted hole. The entire building, constructed between the world wars, often smells like greasy carry-out. Signs of neglect are everywhere: mouse droppings, belly-up cockroaches, stained carpets, cheap mattresses.Soldiers dealing with psychological disorders of their own have been put in charge of others at risk of suicide.

Disengaged clerks, unqualified platoon sergeants and overworked case managers fumble with simple needs: feeding soldiers' families who are close to poverty, replacing a uniform ripped off by medics in the desert sand or helping a brain-damaged soldier remember his next appointment.

The soldiers feel like they are not getting proper respect. This leads to anger."
Most soldiers do not have access to telephones or the internet. Communication with home is solely by letter.

Did she not think her making up stories will not catch up to her in the end? or Agreeing not to count MI and FL , but come back almost a year later whining about why we are not counting them? come on , stop blaming others for her faults. if anything you guys should be happy with hillary. she put up a strong fight, but yet you guys want to be nasty and start blaming others.

and for the hillary supporters who are now going to vote for mccain, please do so. we dont need voters who vote on pure emotions, we want voters to actually read these polices that these candiates set forth. i am voting for the best policy that t the canidate has to offer, not on emotion.

If hillary was the canidate, then my vote goes to her. but in tihs case its going to obama. since they both have the pretty much the same views. why would i want to vote for some one who has totally opposite views then the canidate i prefer? its obivious that hatered has clouded your judgment. so i am glad y ou guys are going to vote for mccain, i dont want to be associated with ppl with so much hate, that they will vote against their canidates views.

News Flash according to the recent polls, Hillary supporters are starting to come around, one voter stated at first she was disappointed but her vote will go to the man who has the same ideas and policies as Hillary Clinton, she believes both parties will come together to win in November. This voter along with many more has joined Hillary at HillaryClinton.com to show support to her and Obama, they said this is the only opportunity we have at this time to change our country.

Obama and Clinton will meet again in weeks to come to join forces, this is not personal but it's about how we can right now shape our government. If we vote out of anger, that will not help our economy, our soldiers, our seniors who are facing foreclosures, the highest rate ever of unemployment, the rising gas prices, ETC.

To the Hillary supporters who don't like the fact that Hillary lost, just remember both candidates received nearly 18 million votes, that tells us that as many supporters who looked to Clinton to fight for a change, so did the 18 million supporters who voted for Obama to fight for change, but at the end of the day. You must remember they are on THE SAME TEAM. Obama and Hillary are not enemies, they ran a hard fight but now like Both candidates said from DAY 1 at the end we will unite because we know whats at stake.

Us Americans should also know what's at stake. We can make all the difference in this world, our voices can be so clear to the republicans that we demand change and sending Obama to the White House we will prevail....

      brian,

I do not disagree with your premise. I, however, think it would be a mistake for her to accept the Veep (if offered).

Not because I think she's not qualified, but rather...it's a dead-end job. What do I mean?

      1) only two vice presidents in the 20th Century have won elections in their own right (i.e. President did not die and they earned the nomination): George Bush I and Richard Nixon. Of course, Nixon was already out of the White House at the time. The other VPs to hold office and win elections did so after the President died (i.e. LBJ, Truman, T Roosevelt) or resigned (Ford).

      2) If Obama wins and serves one term, she's out. Why? Because, unless Obama royally F***s up, he will retain the nomination in 2012. But he'll lose to the Republicans (one term....remember?)

      3) If Obama wins and serves two terms, she's out. Why? Age and possible voter fatigue. She still has a shot, but voters may not want another Democrat in office. If they do, she'll have to compete against a new crop of candidates and voters may be ready for a change in the Democratic Party.

      4) If Obama loses, she's out. She'll be on a losing ticket much like John Edwards and the guy who ran with Al Gore (does anybody even remember who it was?). It would be extremely difficult to convince voters to give her another chance.

I think she should suck it up, go back to Senate and sit tight for now. If Obama loses, she can say, "see? it should have been me!" and either gain the nomination in 2012 or run Dean out and takeover the DNC ("we'll have no more FL & MI fiascos on my watch...").

My wife thinks she should push for either Secretary of State or UN Ambassador.

I like this analysis. I have been looking at this numbers myself. (But what if adding her numbers galvanise MCCain's numbers to that 62 and over?)

And while I dont like some of the old baggage every American still has to agree things were better off in the 90s. Now, the challenge or big question is if it is possible to take the good part of the Clintons and not the rest. We all just want a better country and better politics starting from our next choices.

Here is something for you Rocky, CNN go check it out

The economic news seems to get worse with each passing day??? but it sounds like John McCain may not have heard the news. Here???s what he said Thursday in Florida: ???I have a fundamental belief that, I have a great belief that the fundamentals of our economy are very strong, very strong.???

Really, Senator McCain? That???s not what millions of Americans are saying. A new CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll shows 78% of those surveyed rate economic conditions as ???poor???. Only 22 percent say ???good.???

Here are some of the reasons: The economy lost another 49,000 jobs last month, which means more than 324,000 jobs have been lost since the first of the year. The unemployment jumped to 5.5% last month ??? that???s the biggest increase in the unemployment rate in 22 years.

More and more Americans are losing their homes: one million homes are now in foreclosure. The equity Americans have in their homes-their biggest asset-has declined to the lowest level since the end of World War II. Americans??? net worth has declined by a staggering $1.7 trillion dollars.

Then there are the rising costs of energy. For the first time in our history, gasoline now tops $4 a gallon and is headed higher. Oil traded at a record high of $139 a barrel Friday, with predictions of $150 a barrel by July 4 and Goldman Sachs saying it could reach $200 a barrel within two years. The peak summer driving season is just getting under way. These fuel prices impact the cost of virtually everything else.

And, with the nation on the brink of recession, the stock market is taking a hit too ??? declining almost 400 points last Friday alone. The U.S. dollar continues to weaken against almost all foreign currencies ??? declining 15% against the euro in the last year. We are $9 trillion in debt thanks to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and the irresponsible fiscal policies of the Bush administration. And we continue to run huge trade deficits with China.

Newsweek---Why are yall still running this piece? Is the DNC a bit worried? They should be! They treat Clinton and her supporters like we dont even matter and then after they SELECT the person THEY want, they expect Hill's supporters to jump on board! They are sadly mistaken!

Stop your whining, you are blaming everyone for Hillary loss, as a Barack supporter, I would have voter Hillary if she would have won the nomination, but since Obama is the nominee I am hearing all these excuses about how the supporters were treated, NEWS FLASH I feel both candidates took a beaten by the media, Obama didn't get a free pass with the media. Here is the bottom line that YOU can't face, BOTH Hillary and Obama received over 18 million votes, that's history never been done. This moment for democrats says that majority of Americans voted democrat.

THAT TELLS ME THAT AMERICANS WANTS CHANGE..... This change that we seek is more important than how you feel you were treated. They are quite a few Hillary supporters who are on board with this party for good reasons, we need change in our government. If you and others want to waste time (like Hillary said) and try to prove a point you are hurting yourself. Us who understands that our Country needs us to take a stand will push through November and send McBush home to his BILLIONAIRE wife.

And as far as the posting below stating that Obama's economic policy's is better for the country than McCain's, well this was out today. So if you seen it before that should tell you something.

      Finally,
While you and a few other's are trying to prove a point, our economy, our soldiers, our seniors, our lower and middle class will continue to struggle through until we make some serious changes. You count Obama out before even listening to his plans for this Country, which are similar to Hillary, you do what you feel I can care less, but at the end of the day the democrats will unite.
