This is one boring interview, one drab woman.

  • Posted By: dpthought @ 06/11/2008 2:14:55 AM

What an epiphany to spew so much venom, to so many people, for so long, only to pass on and find out the hard way that Jesus was not white, wealthy, American, or Republican. Yet, still so many believe that God created the world in 1776.

Jerry Falwell was a hateful bigot! I guess we could fine something nice to say about Hilter also.

What a terrible human being ??? her husband was a pig and she is living in an abyss of ignorance

    • Posted By: Lascoma @ 06/11/2008 2:11:14 AM

She should have joined the hypocrite pig so that this country can get rid of this menace. Instead of writting more such crap, she should dig a grave and crawl in to stand by her hypocrite.

  • Posted By: Lascoma @ 06/11/2008 2:03:24 AM

He was a hypocrite fat pig that lived high on the hog using his own brand of Sunday Christian Evangelical menace with hate, fear and conservative republican propagnda to control the hearts and minds of the misled and gullible with his vile poison. She now living of his illgotten assests should have died with him to uphold the stand by her man status quo. It would spare the world and this country of their rotten to the core hypocrite carp that is destroying the decent fabric of this country. This country does not need these self serving, self righteous hypocrites that use their religion to posion the minds of good people of this great country. Dig a grave Mrs. Farwell and crawl in with the the pig.

I do not know what a "Religious Right" is. Our society likes to label every one and any thing, which of course is their comfort zone and makes people feel better about themselves, or superior to others. For me, I love our country, for its' many good things it offers to many. I don't agree with its' lack of moral judgment, or a lot of its' immoral ways, which are becoming more so in society. Our country is becoming closer each day to toppling, and yes, it will happen, and sooner than I would like. But for me, I have the comfort of the God I love, who surpasses all understanding and know He will keep those who love and honor Him. It does not matter for those of you who say, "there is no God", or say Jesus Christ was not real, nor is the Holy Spirit, and just like those in the days of the "Flood.", so will it be in these days. God is on time with His plan and for those who love Him, and those who hate or do not believe in Him. I have the comfort, like many of my brother's and sister's, and we know, that one day, "ever knee shall bend, and every tongue shall confess, that Jesus Christ is Lord." It is our joy, it is our legacy, and it is our future. For those of you who disbelieve, well, Satan is counting on it. And each and every day, as you read and hear, and even experience yourself, all that is happening and going to happen upon this earth, ask yourself, how will you be prepared? The United States will not stand. God will not stand for a godless nation, and "we", well, we look heavenward for our redemption draws near, and until that time, "we" will eat manna from heaven. Praise be to my God, and Lord, Savior Jesus Christ.

What Reverend Falwell said in the wake of 9/11 was by no means a 'mistake', it was pure hatred. And while it's nice that he apparantly loved his children, he obviously dispised those that belonged to millions of others. For the sake of his soul, I hope he went before a much more merciful God than the one he preached about during his time here on earth.

But where's the PROOF? Agnstthe flow, WHERE'S THE PROOF?
Give me evidence for your "personal god"..what does he/she look like?
      I'm waiting.

The very definition of faith is to belive in something without the need for proof. If you don't want to believe in God, fine it's only your loss. Don't however ask people who have FAITH for PROOF, its contradictory

If there is a lot of anger and hate toward Foulwell it is because he expressed so much anger hate and evil in his life. I however, remember him fondly as the silly idiot completely humiliated by America's real hero, Larry Flynt.

The Religious Right needs to stay out of politics. Karl Rove contributed the re-election of George Bush to the politics of the pulpit electing a "Christian Man". Look at the mess we are in, Iraq was invaded with lies from Bush, Borrow and Spend with 9 Trillion dollars deficit, value of the dollar is falling world Wide, Iraq is costing $250 Billion a year and the oil companies are controlling Iraq oil that has 25 per cent of known reserves, and the solution offered is "drill more" where there is and has been thousands of new wells in Wyoming and Colorado and other places in the west, cutting taxes for the Rich (over $300,000 a year) and nearly 50 million without health insurance supported by 100 million who work and support the other 35 million on Medicare. The last time the Religious Right got involved in Politics was the repeal of booze in 1920, led to the crash of 1927 and the Great Depression of the 1930's. The Religious Right needs to stay with saving souls and sinners and stay out of US politics.

"If He Were Here, It Would Be Different" You're fcking with me right? Since I wasn't informed that he was the next big religious thing since Jesus.

Who in their lives, have not said anything inappropriate? He just happened to be a major figure. Everyone who responds on this message board is guilty of that. I am a Christian, and I do not agree with everything Fallwell said, in fact, I'm downright embarassed. However, it's up to God to judge him. I think Falwell may have hated the actions of those people who sinned, but actually loved the person.

    • Posted By: summergirl @ 06/11/2008 1:44:57 AM

I heard that once you talked to this man personally you coudn't help but like him he made you feel like you were a great friend they say..

  • Posted By: mr.g @ 06/10/2008 10:31:58 PM

Don't lump all Christians into the same heap as Falwell. He may have flaws, but so do you and I. I don't agree with everything he said. For those of you who attack him with hatred, aren't you acting the same as you accuse him of acting?

    • Posted By: summergirl @ 06/11/2008 1:41:36 AM

I know your right their is alot of hate and anger on this site it is sad and ugly all the nasty comments you read here by people lets not forget the man is dead where is the respect.

    • Posted By: daotien @ 06/10/2008 10:34:09 PM

I didn't hate the guy, just saying we're are probably better off without him.

      • Posted By: mr.g @ 06/10/2008 10:57:57 PM

I think that he, like yourself, probably did more good in the world, than bad. I'm sure his family wishes he were here, as your family is happy to have you.

  • Posted By: Georgieporgie @ 06/11/2008 1:40:09 AM

The mess we have today in the White House is because the Religious Right helped elect George Bush. He claimed to be a Christian, born again banishing booze. Look at the mess, lied about Iraq, only caters to the wealthy, Borrow and spend, tax cuts for the wealthy, run away oil prices, with the only solution is "drill more wells", the west is dotted with hundreds of thousands of wells. The last time the Religious Right got involved in politics, they banned booze in the 1920's, that led to the crime of Capone, bootlegging, the crash of 27 and the depression of the 30's. The Religious right needs to stay out of politics and focus on saving souls like Bush. Karl Rove gives credit for electing Bush over the top. by the Religous Right. If Bush is a Christian, then I have a bridge in Brooklyn you can buy for $7.

Why is this so frightening? Isn't war and religious division more frightening? If I am Catholic and you are Baptist, what gives me the right to tell you that you are going to a hell and I am the one who is going to a heaven and will be "saved" while you are dammed? Or ask the same question with a rational mind and substitute Mormon or Missouri Synod Lutheran? You pick the religion.

More people have been killed in the name of the "unholy Bible and Koran" and in the name of a god than for any other reason in human history. Was it a "holy spirit" inside of George W. Bush when he authorized pre-emptive strike on a country that had never harmed us in the first place and where we still cannot find any WMD?

Humans will never have world peace as long as religion occupies this world. I may not be religious, but I do wish all of you who are, true peace. www. mnatheists.org

I have to admit, I am not an atheist. I know that there is a god. However, I do feel that I am closer to your way of thinking (as a Catholic) than I am to the Baptists way of thinking. They (and the Mormons and the other Protestants) are just freaks. They are so far separated from the true religion, but I don't think they know it. They need to have a glass of wine (courtesy of Jesus).

      • Posted By: summergirl @ 06/11/2008 1:37:49 AM

hmm Cathy I wonder why so many people leave the catholic church and say they got nothing out of it including myself no offense..

  • Posted By: TrailblazerLT200 @ 06/11/2008 12:08:59 AM

The world is better off without this guy. The world is happier and we should celebrate the day he left. The Religious Right will find their way to hell, because hate is not one of God's attributes. Tax the living hell out of those freaks!

    • Posted By: summergirl @ 06/11/2008 1:28:12 AM

its sounds to me like your preaching hate just reread your comment I thought liberals like to point out to wrongs dont make a right hmmm whats wrong with this picture..

      • Posted By: TrailblazerLT200 @ 06/11/2008 1:37:01 AM

Not hate at all, just glad that this guy is no longer arpound to poison this earth with his garbage. Hate is a strong word my friend and I dont advocate it but I do rejoice that such an evil uneducated person is dead.....and the Religious Right freaks...well they are freaks. Are you one ? Maybe it just hit home.

  • Posted By: jshel1523 @ 06/10/2008 11:26:18 PM

If Falwell was so great, the why did he not make a bigger difference in the time he had. Do you think it is because he focused to much on bashing certain groups instead of witnessing to them? People always say what a great guy you are after your gone. I believe Falwell should have been more into preaching the word of God than being so opinionated and so politically involved. What ever happened to the Billy Grahams of the world? God Bless America.

    • Posted By: summergirl @ 06/11/2008 1:33:37 AM

they say the truth hurts people maybe thats why the far left didnt like falwell and find reasons to bash him.
