PoliticallyIncorrect... AGAIN you miss the point. The truth is we are at war with the people of Iraq, and unjustly so. Look at the hundreds of thousands of lives "W's" war has taken. I agree we should defend ourselves when attacked, but Iraq did not attack us. You said nothing about Iraq, but the truth is we are at war with iraq. There have been 4000 American lives lost as well as countless other innocent lives of Iraqies in the name of the Bush Administration. Can you deny that fact? You say "these people"... who is "these people"? they are Iraqies... the citizens of iraq... that DID NOT attack us on our soil. I agree we should bring the criminals to justice, but at least go after the right criminals!

Pulpfiction, I am afraid that you are the one who is missing the point. Again, you have misrepresented what someone says. daffyhd did NOT say anything about being at war with a country. Nowhere was that said. daffyhd's point was well taken. And I would point out that we are NOT at war with a religion. We are at war with religious fanatics who will stop at nothing to kill Americans, even at the expense of their own lives or even the lives of their children. PLEASE get the facts correct. On the point of Iraq, I guess you give a pass to Saddam Hussein and the 1M+ people he murdered. Where was your UN then? Where was the UN in Ruwanda? Where was Clinton? Look at the big picture and get that gigantic chip off of your shoulder.

daffyhd... You and a few others have missed the point. We are NOT at war with a country, but rather a religion. There are no boundries that border our enemies and the countless numbers of innocent human life that has been destroyed IS a crime. This administration should be held accountable for the lives that have been destroyed, both Iraqie and American in this fiasco, and the real perpetrators of 911 should be brought to justice.

Pulpfiction, once again the true statement is diverted for an untruth. I said nothing about Iraq, I was speaking about the choices that we have had to make to make our country safe. I am so tired of the blame game that you liberals throw out there talking about these issues. As daffyhd so rightly put it, these people who we have captured and put in prisons are bad people. They kill Americans for no reason, just because they are Americans. So before you start espousing your nonsense, read my post and get it right. Don't do a Bill Maher or Keith Olberman job on it.

PoliticallyIncorrect...You are incorrect. The country of Iraq DID NOT attack us on our soil, or anybody elses. The Bush Administration has taken it upon itself to blame and rain death and destruction upon the iraqie people in the name of $$$$$. The real culprit is still living free in Pakistan or Afganistan and is being ignored, again in the name of $$$$$. I wonder just how much $$$$$ the Bush's and Cheney's of the world need? Are they so greedy and arrogant that human life is of no value?

Is torture acceptable? Is blowing up people acceptable. Are homicide bombers acceptable?

Is counter-terrorism eroding human rights? Is terrorism eroding human rights?

I believe that President Bush and Vice President Cheney's policies have the green light of scrutiny as far as legality. No one likes to see anyone tortured, so perhaps those that are fighting against the most free country in the World should not bomb us. If they don't like us, then don't buy from us or even talk to us, but keep your weapons to yourself. Those that are critizing us, should remember that since we have captured and held these Terrorists, we have not had any more attacks on American soil and those detainees that have been freed have been found to go back to their old ways and are either dead or are being hunted for addtional crimes against American freedom.

Is there any standard human right for everyone? I'm grateful that I'm living in the country namely America values most human rights. Different country has different human rights for first class , second class or third class citizens. Respect is basic human right. If we do not respect one another, we do not have basic right to talk about human right.

Besides the damage our current President and Cheney, who should both be impeached, have done. We are losing more freedoms than ever before. Like the ability to fill our gas tanks up and drive ourselves to work everyday. Our countries 'regulatory' agencies are a joke, currupt, perverted and the American people's interests are the furthest thing from their minds. Shame on us as citizens for not paying attention and getting off our lazy asses to protest and let our government know that they do not own us or rule our lives. Shame on us for not questioning the media birthed division we are spoon fed daily. Shame on us for not QUESTIONING EVERYTHING and STANDING UP FOR OURSELVES! Bob Marley took the stage after being shot and said, "Evil doesn't take a day off so how can I?"

The current Bush/Cheney administration has gone out of it's way to make sure the American people have been hampered in their freedoms that were guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States. These people are NOT leaders, but rather followers of the Right Wing dictatorships throughout the world. They have learned that by obstructing freedom and justice they gain power, just the way Hitler did. I hope this will be a lesson to the American people, provided it's not too late, to vote out and keep out the kind of power hungry vermin this country does not need. By preserving our freedoms, we will stay free and become an example of Democracy the way it was intended. We don't have to force feed Democracy down the throats of other countries the way this administration has at the cost of so many human lives. Once this administration has gone, we should insure that no other administration shall ignore the laws set forth by the Constitution and dictate to the people their destiny with agony and death. George Bush and Dick Cheney...GO AWAY!!

The only thing I am pissed at Bush that he did not have the balls to do what Truman did. The only way these dogs will fear and respect Americans is to use brute force and the best way is to bomb Qom or Mecca. When at the turn of the century in the Philippines we had trouble with dog muslims we captured and killed them and then covered them in pigs blood and faced their dead dog bodies to the ground head pointing north. Our troops let two dogs go and tell what the Americans had done and they had no trouble in the Phils until the 1990's. Americans do not have the balls to do these things to keep other Americans safe anymore. I hope Obama wins because you get what you deserve. Oh I am 3rd generation Filipino by the way. No white!

I think real freedom comes out off the barrel of a gun. You can go on with all your bleading heart crap but our freedoms have been won at the cost of American lives not some bleading heart lawyers and surely not any politicians or UN dorks.

Why do so many people think that our U.S. legal system should be extended to enemy combatants who have killed and are killing our citizens, and others, with bombs, guns, and knives. That's never been done in any war that I know about and to do so in the current environment would give a big boost to our enemies. Just because there isn't a traditional battlefield in the terror war doesn't mean they are any less of an enemy soldier. C'mon folks.

Bush, Cheney and his administration of fools are turning America into a third-world country. Spying on it's own people. lying to them to take this country into a war based on lies, greed and fraud. Takiing away the rights of Americans, trying to screw with the Constitution, and people have the gaul to ask if human rights and civil liberties are in danger. What a joke!
