Getting to Know Him

The Obama campaign and his supporters have threatened to defeat the candidates that Emily's List is backing if they do not endorse Obama.
We say NO DEAL! ! ! We won't be bullied into voting for Obama.

People who dwell on the pastor angle are the ones who were seeking any excuse to act on their ingrained prejudicial instincts. I doubt you can speak for soccer moms and dads, you can speak for yourself, dig and find out why he makes you uncomfortable and drop the excuses. I bet you always watch Fox News too.

Lets talk it through then, rather than throwing accusations and slander. I did not see every Catholic quitting the church when horrendous crimes against the innocent were known to everyone. That happened over many years. There were complaints for many years, but people stayed. The Archbishops / Cardinals in Boston, Los Angeles and more were known to have protected priests who had been marked for their most evil acts. Do you see them kicked out yet? Or for that matter a flight of Catholics from those diosceses? Why?, because you cannot believe a person of God can be a monster.

In the end Wright is a man, was supposedly a man of God but turned out to be much less so. Christ is Obama's God, not Wright. Do you want to ignore that fact so your argument can somehow be held together? Leave aside Obama many in his Church did not know. Or do you now believe that Church is made up of hate mongers? Get real, and get real with truths within ourselves that elicits a negative reaction based on tangential associates. Are your tangential associates, friends and family of the gold standard? I bet you if someone dug into each of our records we would find someone we would feel ashamed to be have associated with.

Obama stood by him initially believing in God and thinking that Wright was a man of God as so many Catholics thought the molestors were men of God. Then Wright went off the deep end with his lunatic rantings about AIDS and in using his flock to shield his craziness. At that point it was clear that this was not a man speaking because of a past where he was victim to racist prejudices institutional or otherwise, it was clear the man who served as a Marine was no longer the same. He was seen to be a nut job who is no longer a man of God, only a man for himself and his selfish needs.

Thank you Mr. Fineman. Very good piece. You lay this out well. But at the end of the day it is just another politically motivated hit job over petty mess from the McSame ("Is it Sunni or Shite?"} bunch.

Jim Johnson has a solid background in the matter of vetting nominees. Yes his experience comes with one 'Geraldine Ferraro knock', but he has more than enough hands-on to insure a successful search & vet process. You want some one like Jim who knows his way around Washington to locate the best talent for the job. We need very talented personnel to turn the mess of the pass 7-years around. Obama was not asking Jim to run for VP, nor was Obama setting Jim up for a cabinet post. So why the latest political garbage about Obama using Mr. Johnson to help vet mostly Democratic nominees?

Answer: = Political mud slinging by "Third-Term McSame" groupies because they are to afraid to face Obama head-to-head on equal ground on the issues.

I was very happy to hear that Obama initiated a committee to search and vet VP nominees and other cabinet post. I was especially thrilled because it sent several clear messages.

(1.) The Obama administration would not be jammed as Hillary tried to do when she attempted to force herself on Obama's ticket, effectively bypassing the vetting process and any discovery of all the hidden garbage in the Clinton closet.

(2.) With the committee playing a major role with vetting potential VP's, the Hillary camp cannot put the blame squarely on Obama if/when Clinton baggage and questionable dealings and hidden contributors set off a slew of 'vetting alarms'.

(3.) A search committee for other cabinet post is an effective tool for 'NOT' hiring a bunch of cronies like the current administration. Do you remember the following?

"You are doing a heck of a job Brownie"; referring to FEMA's head Michael Brown after his Katrina fiasco.

VETTING COMMITTEE = NO MORE CRONIES . . . . . and this is the right way Obama should go.

HILLARY SUPPORTERS: Just thought I'd bring you up to date on a new Documentary being made about the OBAMAs (Barack and Michelle) and Barack's political record and his and Michelle's background in general that will be coming out in the fall. The people creating this documentary about the Obamas are the same ones that made a documentary released in January about Hillary Clinton I hear. One of the names I have who is involved is creating this documentary is David Bossie. You can google him. He has said that given the MainStreamMedia has gone out of their way of NOT vetting Obama that they were creating a documentary that will present all US citizens with hard facts about Obama and his political and personal life along the way to making it to where he is now, running for US President. They have said that it will not be based on innuendos and that what they document will be supported with facts. So that is good. Maybe this will give us what we need which is answers to alot of questions a good many 18 million people have about questions about his life that have not been thoroughly answered for many people that fall into the segment not comfortable for voting for Barack Obama. It should be interesting as it is supposed to be THE FACTS with PROVEN resources and not a smear campaign. Maybe this will put our fears to rest about Obama in the fall. Or maybe it might reinforce many concerns that this segment of voters have about him. Guess we will see when this documentary comes out in Sept/Oct timeframe. Just thought you might want to be aware of this.

Here is what I hear from almost every soccer mom and dad. Obama scares them. You don't spend 20 years in a church where they act like that and practice such hate and we are supposed to believe he never knew what was going on? Please, it doesn't pass the smell test. Just like his association with Rezko. Middle America, in my area, absolutely laughs at the man-crush the press has with Obama and frankly we've stopped watching your networks.

What people seem to be missing is that Dems are not STUCK with Obama as our nominee, superdelegates and pledged delegates can vote for Hillary at the convention. America does need a Dem in the White House, but not just any Dem. Say NO to Obama

Bottom line is Obama got rid of Johnson. Which was right thing to do. I also question his VP vetting. Edwards was not a good choice as Kerry's VP. Despite the feeling at time it was. Unless VP candidate brings experience in the Presidential candidates weak spot (Obama's is foreign policy). I expect a VP candidate to possibly win the state for the ticket. Edwards didn't come close to winning N.C. for Kerry.

The american people have come to hate lobbyists and other normal WashDC events like special favors!

Listen, with no real record of experience to run on Obama has assured us that he has superior judgment which will lead us to the promised land. Except for the Jeramiah he never really knew, the Rezko he never really knew and the ever expanding list of additional similar cronies. It's not about vetting. It's judgement, stupid!! We've got one in the White House who obviously didn't have it. Why in God's name do we want another one?
