Gas prices have nothing to do with environmentalist it has to do with greedy oil CEO and President Bush. If we stopped and looked at ways to save our natural resources we wouldn't depend on oil from the Middle East buy from companies like 76, Vallero, Arco. If we stop depending on oil from the middle east and use other alternatives we avoid the situation we're in. Hello they pay about $.20 a gallon. RIDICULOUS

The reason gas prices are so high is because the enviromentalists wont let us build refineries, thus we have to ship to refineries out of the country or far away from where we are drilling for oil in the states. I live in area of North Dakota that has more oil than Saudia Arabia!

Aha, and all of the SUV's that "regular" people from USA have??? I have seen 2 or at least 1 of that gas guzzlers parked in front of the houses, or rolling on the street by hundreds. Do the regular people need a big V8 or a vehicle with the frontal area of a blimp hangar to go to work?? Besides, if someone wants to go to a place that is half a mile away, takes that V8 with him/her, and for what??? Because people is lazy, and is easier to put the blame in others.

Here's something you may not know, Mexico is setting on an oil reserve bigger than the Middle East, but the oil companies claim it's too high in Sulfer content to use. Mexico is using it just fine and the last I checked, we mine sulfer off-shore in the gulf coast. Sulfer is used in industry to make alot of diffent chemicals and even explosives. When you refine, "Look up the word REFINE," oil you remove the sulfer. The real reson we don't use any of that oil is because the oil companies haven't got their ducks in a row yet, also if we start pumping money into the Mexican ecconomy, we lose all of our fruit pickers and maids, think about it.

NO KIDDING PEOPLE DONT NEED THIS STUFF. ITS THE IMERIALIST IN ALL AMERICANS TO KEEP WANTING SOMETHING BETTER. WE ARE NOT THE REASON FUEL IS SO EXPENSIVE. IT TAKES A GLOBAL ECONOMY. STOP BUYING FOREIGN MATERIALS.

I think the problem is the Angelina Jolie's, Brad Pitts, and John Travolta's of the world (to name just a few). They have huge homes all over the world to heat/cool and they jet off to them whenever the whim hits them. Travolta has five jets himself. It seems to me that these are the people that are creating the oil crisis. We are in the US, own one home if we are lucky, working to buy food and fuel and are not able to afford gas to take our family on a once a year vacation. Also, why do so many people think the war in Iraq is about oil? It is about a group of terrible people that want to wipe the Americans off the face of the planet. They tried even before 9-11 and will try again if they are not stopped. I am so glad that this war is being fought on their soil and not ours. It is not about oil and the American people need to realize that.

You all have good ideas and great input. Look around and look hard. History speaks for itself if you look good we are on the road to a civil war again. Our country is going down a bad road. Freedoms are slowly being taken example pledge taken away from school, in god we trust from money. Remember our country was based on immigrants but also the unwritten rule is you come to our country but you live by our rules. Unfortunity our country is now being run by immigrants and as I said our freedoms are being taken. But like any society there is a breaking point and that will be reached. Funny because hydrogen engines were actually invented in the 50' s. Plus the college student in the 70's with their h2o engine. Your right the oil industry will do what they need to as long as they control the world. And by they way some of us here have done our share for the government.
