    People seriously, you make everything worse by stealing the gas. Think about it the gas station would need to get back that money lost, so they would probably rise it even more. Try finding more reasonable solutions... take the bus, ride your bike, or plainly just walk to places. This valuable resource is just going to keep increasing in price the more we use it..........

    The people who own the gas stations make VERY LITTLE on the fuel they sell. No one deserves to be victimized by theft. Do you think these thieves are giving the stuff away, like Robin Hood? They are self serving thieves who are cashing in just like the oil companies. don't have any empathy for the thieves (or the oil companies), but do report all suspicious activity lest you fall victim to siphoner's.

      Actually, they have been doing quite well. Lets say they buy fuel on a Tuesda y for $3.30 wholesale. Market goes up next day to $3.45 wholesale. The gas station then increases their price on the fuel in their tanks by the same amount that same day. That fuel lasts them 6 days. Do the math. This .02 a gallon profit matgin is just what they want you to believe. If a gas station wasn't so profitable, why are there so many of them????

    All U.S. citizens and businesses just need to shut down for week and take a vacation,sit at home don't buy anything and watch how fast things will turn around. Don't rely on our government to get us out of this because we will just keep getting screwed! They don't care about us they just care about taking our hard earned money!!!

    Anyone who lives in an area where a FreeWay system is the way to get to work... Scooter or Bike riding isn't an option. In most areas scooters are not allowed on the freeway, and it is wayyyy too dangerous. It is a good idea though, I wished like HELL I lived close enough to work to where riding my bike was a reasonable solution. In most cities, there are NO bike paths, and I'd be road kill in a week's time. A whale farts in the Atlantic and gas prices go up 15 cents. Has anyone noticed that demand / usage as a national average has gone down about 4.4 percent and gas just went up AGAIN?!? WTF? We need to be more than Lemmings, it is not the oil companies that are destroying the country. It is the fact that the average American citizen is a blooming IDIOT! We Americans refuse to ask the tough questions until it is too fu*king late. We started asking tough questions about Iraq after we were at war. We start asking questions about gas prices when it has gone up 200% and is over $4 a gallon. It is our fault for being weak and stupid drones. Not standing up as a nation and demanding more from our government and ourselves. That is why so many have died in a war with the wrong country. And that is why me and you pay $4 per gallon at the pump. God Bless All.

      You are right artsaber we have become drones. What is it going to take for us Americans to storm the Captiol and demand a change? The Constitution gives us that right but we just stand idley by and do nothing. The problem is that the little guy can't do much of anything short of being somewhat violent. We have a Constitution that says WE OWN THE GOVERNMENT not the other way around. Everybody thinks it supply & demand but its WALL STREET and its investors. The info is out there you just have to look. All the investors are banking on oil and putting all their eggs in one basket so to speak and that is why we have the high prices. Until some honest Congressman puts a STOP to WALL STREET we will continue to be their drones.

    i work at a mini mart that sells gas, it the big oil companys that are driving up the price of gas. for the people that are stealing gas shme on you. I work 40 hrs a week and buy my gas and so should you . go out and get a job and quit taking money out of hard working peoples pockets.

    Sorry but locking gas caps DO NOT WORK! A simple screwdriver provides enough leverage to pry the cap off.

          I agree with you!! Who can afford to sell there home when people cannot afford to buy gas, much less buy a home. As far as the bike riding thing, DITTO again, I agree I have 2 children and cannot leave them alone to catch the bus when they are only 11 & 13 years old. I have to provide my children a safe home as a responsible parent. Would that be very responsible to leave them home alone??? I think not. So I have to drop both off at school on my way to work--which by the way is also 30 miles away from my home. When you live in the country, some poeple may not know this, but jobs are not to close!! My car gets 20 miles to a gallon, If I could afford to buy one that is cheaper on gas I WOULD!!! But 9.75 an hour is not much money considering the gas prices along with having to pay money for my food we eat, which by the way is GENERIC brands!! I am not a snotty nose BRATT who would only buy NAME BRANDS, I buy the cheapest.

          Why couldn't you ride your bike 20mi? My husband rides to work further than that at least 3 times a week. Could it just be another excuse?

    The government could ease the gas prices if they wanted to. The U.S. has a huge oil reserve that could easily fuel america for 100 years and they choose not to tap that reserve. The people in control of this are making a lot of Americans suffer for no reason. People need a break from these insane gas prices now, not in 20 years. The government must do something.

    In WW2, Germany fought the whole world by liquefying coal into oil. Our government is doing the same thing for the military on a small scale. There is enough coal and shale in this country to make us energy independent for the next 150 years. It's the morons in Washington that are destroying our economy and our way of life. If they start mining and refining coal into oil right now, we might survive this thing. If not,we're lost.

    i work at a gas staion ,and it the big oil companys fault they are making millions out of the high gas prices .for the people that are stealing gas shame on you you are taking money out hard working peoples pockets. we are struggling because of people like you i work for my money to buy gas and so should you.

    Gas prices are high, we all know that. If stealing gas continues, the gas corps aren't going to raise the prices because of it, the local station that the gas was stolen from will have to raise their prices. This doesn't hurt the gas corps. it hurts the hard working station owners and the locals who buy gas from them. All of you who said to continue stealing gas are freaking IDIOTS. How would you like to be the station owner who is out $4K, or the truck driver who spends thousands on gas a month just work and make a living and then find out you have no gas left in your truck to get to work because someone stole it. Stealing doesn't solve the problem, it creates another one.

      Supply and demand, it's a revloving door. People steal, the gas stations order more, and so on, do you think the people we get our oil from is not going to eventually raise what it cost to purshase a barrel. Just think about it for a moment. They too only have a limited amount of oil.

        In the end, if you steal the gas you are contributing to higher gas prices and taking away a piece of the American Dream from the small business owners who are alos trying to make ends meet. Think about that for a moment. The gas companies are the only ones that win in the end and shouldn't we as a society /Americans do what we can to stop that from happening instead of contribute to it.

    Woot I agree on stealing gas. Its hard for me to make it paying rent getting food and other basic things to live on. Hell I don't even have cable tv because the price of living has gone up so damn much. I plan on stealing gas from local gas stations also. This is complete bull how high these prices are. I wish America would take a damn stand and stop buying it and not go to work until gas came down to at least $1.50

I am tired of paying this high ass gas price. I can't even go home to see my family that much because of it, or even get grocies some times because the damn price of living. So yeah I plan on start to steal some gas from stations my self just to make it by...

    Well, the way I see it, we as working citizens of the U.S.A just need to pull together and quit our jobs all together!!! Sign up on FOOD STAMPS & WELFARE & WHATEVER KIND OF ASSISTANCE WE CAN GET like everybody else does!! When they see that we are not gonna buy there gas, to go to work every week that is what will get there pockets!!!!! How can we afford to WORK for 9.75 cents an hour and pay 4.05 cents a GALLON for gas and be expected to buy GROCERIES, PAY ELECTRIC BILLS, WATER BILLS, TELEPHONE BILLS, AND OTHER UNEXPECTED THINGS THAT COME UP LIKE DOCTOR BILLS WHEN YOU OR YOUR CHILDREN GET SICK??????? By the way I live in KENTUCKY, in a small town where gas is 4.05 a gallon and the next state over TENNESSEE is 3.88 a gallon. I know this for a fact I saw it for my own eyes YESTERDAY!!! Now tell me who is RIPPING who off!!

    Who is stealing? the average Joe or the Government? The Iracian that owns the station got 15,000. (Just for comming to America )dollars from that Joe, the Government gives the oil companies 17,0000. in tax breaks, gives the Joe $300. to 600. because he's now out of work, or soon will be.
