A New Way to Guzzle Gas

Why don't the clever thieves, get together and pool thier money and carpool. Better yet, all the gas stealing, lazy people, get a job and stop using our oxygen to commit your crime.

The real thieves are the states who do allow on or offshore drilling. But they are the first ones to start crying about gas prices. They should be forced to pay more per gallon until they allow drilling. One other thing send all the liberals & democrats to california , let them form their own country there.

Some of these comments are outrageous. Americans, now is the time for us to come together and find solutions to our mishaps, this isn't the first time Americans have gone through a recession. If you think about it, we do this to ourselves, we are not the most conservative people, we wast on a daily basis, we are the ones who constantly pollute our own country, we will be responsible for our own down fall. I am proud to be an American, but I'm not oblivious to what is happening around us. Now is the time for people to car pool, take less vacations, use less energy, recycle, save money, we need to get smarter about the way we live. Lets stop blaming Bush, stop blaming the oil companies, we are a very demanding country, we require to many luxaries to live. I suggest Americans find more resourceful ways to live, start planting your own vegetables, plant a apple tree, or a peach tree, find other ways of living, our ancesters did it for many years, I don't see wy we can't do it.. I don''t think it's a question of "CANT" I think we are too dependant on others to do it for us.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. Not saying it's right, but people are gonna do what they have to do to get by. One can only hope that it'll get to a point where we, as a whole, will do something about the gas economy. Eventually, someone is going to have to intervene.

Sad but true! People do desperate things during desperate times. Rich getting richer and poor getting poorer.

Gas prices are high, we all know that. If stealing gas continues, the gas corps aren't going to raise the prices because of it, the local station that the gas was stolen from will have to raise their prices. This doesn't hurt the gas corps. it hurts the hard working station owners and the locals who buy gas from them. All of you who said to continue stealing gas are freaking IDIOTS. How would you like to be the station owner who is out $4K, or the truck driver who spends thousands on gas a month just work and make a living and then find out you have no gas left in your truck to get to work because someone stole it. Stealing doesn't solve the problem, it creates another one.

Reality Check!!!!!! Who are the real thieves??????? At $4+ a gallon what do people expect????? These guys are like Robin Hood, who in some circles was considered as a hero!

Well, I must say, I don't agree with steaing, but if I knew I could get away with it, I would definately steel from a gas station, but I would never be able to pull it off. I would never steal from somebodys car, because I work hard for the money I make and I know others do to and can't afford to spend all that money on gas only to have it siphoned out by some jackass. I understand the trickle down effect stealing from a gas station can have, but gas companies are getting away with stealing money from us, so why can't we get some free gas? The bottom line is, these companies are making billions a year. That's each company making billions, not combined. That's profit, so that's after all expenses, bills, and wages have been paid. They do not need all that money. They can afford to lower prices. I have an extremely hard time getting enough money for gas just to get to work after all my bills have been paid. I don't have the availability of public transportation and there is no one I can carpool with. I would love to purchase a smaller car with better MPGs, but that's impossible. My point is, prices are outrageous..

Why don't you all stop crying and find other forms of transportation. Americans have become so spoiled, and wastful. You know, if you keep stealing gas, the prices are going to get higher. A lot of Americans supported Bush in his fight against terrorism, why don't some of you go to the Middle East and experience a little of what is happening there, and maybe you'll be a little greatful that high gasoline prices are all you have to worry about. People who steal are inmoral, and if you're caught, I hope they prosecute you and throw you in jail. Then you won't have to worry about gas anymore, because you won't be going anywhere.

In Europe gas prices have always been very high, but they don???t go around and steal gas. I believe this is the downfall of the American society in general.
The Europeans called us the UGLY Americans, if you know what I mean.
Most Americans are loud and rude when they travel abroad, and have very little
respect of other cultures.

Why do I feel like this is an Enron situation all over again and not just ripping off Cailfornians this time - but ALL Americans!!! Maybe a smart politician (I don't care what Party) will wake up and take a stand?

No president runs their administration.
