Fuel thieves? Come on, how pathetic are you??? I understand the price of gas is expensive. I live in SoCal where the price for gas is the highest in the nation. That's no excuse to steal others gas. Shell 71 said it best. If you can't afford to pay for your fuel, you shouldn't be driving a car. Be smart about it. Take a bus, ride a bike, hell, carpool if you need to. Anyone pathetic enough to steal gas is probably not intelligent enough to choose any of these options. Pretty pathetic.

the main reason prices are so high is so that the govenment can make more money. bush is probably bathing in all the billions he is making. i do not think we should look for more oil because that would destroy many wildlife envirnments.

While I agree that fuel prices are absurd today, a thief is still a thief.

Truth is we use too much oil. even a shell spokesman was saying that we need to cut back. The signs say that we are running out, think about it, why else would Saudia Arabia be pumping out less and oil spokesmen talk about conservation. I'm glad I life in an area where the weather is mild and I can walk to work and back because come winter prices will really be high. as for the "sympathy for fuel industry" the people getting hurt by the theft are: us honest consumers and the filling stations owners who bought that gas, the oil execs made their money when it got to the station.

How ironic, if we steal the gas we are crooks, yet when the oil companies do it
is okay. Guess you have to be a Bush supporter to appreciate it

Keep stealing, mabey the station owners will realize something is wrong, and that should translate down to the oil companies and the R A G H E A D S who own the oil.

Haha keep stealing gas the prices are crazy hey I might start to it cost me $100 a week to get to work. I am not one to condone stealing but really I feel that the gas people are the true thieves. Thanks to Bush and all the *** that voted for him that this country is going to pot and the gas prices have sky rocketed. Doesn't his family own an oil pump? Makes you think. I like this article in a way in teaches you how to steal the gas. I
I Iso thank you for the person who wrote it. Yay for stealing gas!!!!!!! Keep it up all. :)

Clearly a piece designed to inspire sympathy on the fuel industry...I wonder if the web ad that shows at the end of this story for BP and its catchphrase of "energy security" was an intentional placement....As for thieves...shame on you! We are all feeling the pinch...hope you get caught and the heavy hand of the law to smacks ya down.

I don't know why people don't see that the oil companies aren't screwing us as much as our own government they are the ones taking more than 40%-60% of gas sales.

    4 ways to drop prices.
    1. Drill here
    2. Build more refineries here
    3. Have only 3 or 4 blends of gasoline (not 50+ like we've got now)
    4. Government lowers their take on the gas sole (lower gas tax).
Obama wants to pass a windfall tax on big oil? When the average profit margin for a profitable company is around 18% and big oil is only making a 4% profit margin, do we really need to punish them? Also, here's a no -brainer.... if Obama taxes big oil, who will big oil pass that cost along to? Any company does not simply take a tax or expense hit and live with it. They will ALWAYS pass it along to the consumer.

Forget the knee-jerk Bush bashing and cliches about price gouging, we need to pump more oil, refine more oil, strengthen the dollar, and stop outsourcing so much of this country's industry. That will get prices way back down.

While I am not an advocate of stealing and do not like to see people turning to crime, I honestly can not blame them. The oil executives should be shot for the price gouging that is occurring and thanks to dear old Bush and the white house, a bill that was going to give us a tax break on gas is a thought of the past. We have not seen crime yet when it comes to stealing gas - has eevryone forgetten how bad it was during the crisis in the 70's??? Something needs to happen - it's a sad day when it pays more for people to be unemployed instead of put gas in their cars to go to work!!!
