    The Politic Of Endangered Species:
Although my method of saving the endangered species may not be politically correct. Ironically, to saving those species we must destroy and the number of many other the species we currently have in abundance -- our pets. Except those who are acting, guiding the blinds, guarding, termites and police detection, herding, hunting, catching rodents or other benefitial tasks. Pets, especially dogs in excess have contributed to some of our most serious environmental problems. Todays their wastes especially feces are piling up at our landfills even if they flushed into th toilet will create extra burden for water treatment plants. Waste before being disposed of are stinking up our air and atmosphere. Some of those gaseous waste such mathane, CO and CO2 are greenhouse gases. Pet droppings on our roads have created driving harzards and polluting our water sheds. Those dropping will also spread diseases such bird flu or other diseases. Road kills may result in Mad Cow Diseases or making street unpleasant for walking. Pets will bite men sometime resulted in rabby. Regardless of whether there are bites, attack by dogs will create traumas which will require medical or psycological treatment especially to small children. Pets will creat allergy at homes. Again, they will deterred pedestrain from travelling on the road in favor of driving which will cause pollution and consumption of gasoline. Pet hit by cars will result in collison damages requiring more resources to build or repair new cars. Harvesting from natural and domesticated food supplies to feed our pet will creat food shortage for men and wildlife. Again, pollution will be their results. Agricultural supplies for pets will resulting in clearing of wilderness for plantation land. Pet at home usually require more space and more resouces to build bigger house. Wandering cat and dogs will kill wildlife such as those mention in your article.

how stupid to drill holes where there is gas vapor what idiots

  • Posted By: shreksfionaid @ 06/15/2008 7:43:15 AM

I had a neighbor who had his car parked on the street in front of his apartment. He found that someone had drilled a hole in his gas tank and not only had they taken what they wanted on the content of his gas tank but they let the rest of the gasoline drain on to the ground under his car. Think about the animals that might think it was water and drink any puddles...what about a stray disposed cigarette!

If gas really becomes that big of a crisis, crimes like these have got to have severe punishment or things will just get worse.

Stop your Crying!!!!!!!!!!!!!. The price of gas goes up every year, yet we still go out and buy the biggest gas guzzlers we can find. If the price of gas is to high, then sell your giant SUV, and buy a smaller car.

    • Posted By: misssmartypants @ 06/15/2008 3:39:39 AM

Here here, MiamiMike. And why is it ALWAYS the *** in the big trucks who can't drive!! Nearly killing me in my little Mitsubishi Eclipse! Well hahahah to them. My car costs a THIRD of what theirs does to fill up!!!!

    • Posted By: Elidine @ 06/13/2008 9:45:45 AM

That isn't always the case. You are an idiot.

      • Posted By: MiamiMike @ 06/13/2008 11:27:42 AM

You drive 80 miles a day in a SUV that sucks gas you cant afford and you have the nerve to call me an idiot.

        • Posted By: Elidine @ 06/14/2008 2:47:15 AM

I never said I couldn't afford it, I said we had to budget for it. 2 totally different things. Go drive your hybrid and enjoy being alone. Maybe one day you'll have a family and realize that a sub compact car can not hold a family of 4 plus everything that goes with it.

Great point olderwiser. I have actually thought of this also in recent years. America is made up of folks that are basically indignant toward any country but our own. I think we are our own worst enemy.

I've wondered sometimes if our crime rate is largely a genetic influence. Think about it. We have been settled for generations by immigrants from the rest of the world. Many of these were ejected from countries for undesirable conduct. Crime has to be one of these. Even insanity, as when Fidel Castro tried to empty his insane asylums by sending their inmates here by the hundreds in the 1980's. Many of us, then, are descendants of people sent here as undesirables. Is there a "crime gene" in our midst? Probably not, but sometimes I wonder. It seems so inappropriate in a society as prosperous as ours.

The administration: 1. - Needs to announce to the OPEC: "Any commodity is worth only what the BUYER is willing to pay for it. We are willing to pay 20 dollars per barrel for your oil, effective back to when it cost 20 dollars, and we hereby take the gold by force if necessary from your portion of the international vaults (in our own New York City) that was paid to you for that oil" 2. - Open every capped oil rig and pump our own oil. 3. - Force the oil companies to build more refineries with the windfall profits they have recently made. 4. - Drill safely for more of our own in all the places we know where it is located, in our own country, by force if necessary against the environmentalists. 5. - Immediately forbid any of our own oil (Alaska) to be shipped to any foreign country. 6. - Prohibit the oil companies from charging more for diesel than for gasoline. (Diesel has not had sulphur for more than 20 years; the oil companies charge more because they say it costs more to make sulphur-free fuel) 7. - Prohibit oil companies from buying up (then discarding) patents from inventors who successfully create economic gasoline or alternative fuel and delivery systems. (Example: 30 years ago, a major oil company quickly bought the patent from the inventor of a carburetor capable of nearly 100 miles per gallon of regular gasoline.)

      ok problems with your statements,
      1) There are other buyers in the market if we are only willing to pay $20 a barrel other players will bid $25 a barrel and then so on and we are back to square one.
      2) There is only a finite amount of oil left in the US, uncapping our reserves before we exhaust other countries reserves would be a little premature for us.
      3) Where would we build these refineries, I suggest your backyard for this project, as certainly I would be against building of a refinery anywhere near me. I'm sure no one else would want one in their backyards, so again back to square one.
      4) Again goes back to point #2, why use our own reserves when we can use someone else's first and when they run out then we can use ours. Plus ruining our own country environmentally even more is not going to solve anything.
      5) We would not be able to produce enough oil from our own reserves to fulfil our own demand any time soon, so what would prevent other oil producing countries from halting all oil shipments and really jacking up oil prices.
      6) So If you start price capping diesel, wouldn't that just jack the price of regular gasoline WAY up? and if we start caping those prices wouldn't the gas companies just stop selling gas as it would cost them more to buy the gas than they could sell it for?
      7) I totally agree that we need to reform patents. But the 100 miles to the gallon carburator thing is highly suspect. If that were true then wouldn't the US car companies slowly integrate them into their own cars to increase fuel efficiency and not be getting totally outsold by the more gas efficient Japanese cars?

Let's do what the French did in the past when the GREEDY RICH *** keeps making the rest of the people poorer. We should have a World wide Revolution (Read the Tales of the Two Cities, Les Miserable) This will solve our problems. Rid this world of Greedy Governments that also has their hand in the oil.

Gee if the gas companies weren't already stealing form Americans, including our freedom, the Robin Hoods out there wouldn't have to "steal back" If Iran can have gas for 11 cents a gallon, We should be out there drilling and lowering our gas costs. Gas is 45 cents per gallon in Chinia and China is drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, where we should be drilling. Our congress needs to get off thier big fat behinds and let companies drill

Service stations, lock up your gasoline and get better cameras. That's all you can do.

I think that we need a Society Doctor. He examines the body, finds that it has an illness. Crimeness, crimeosity, Crimeiasis? Then he consults his medical books, finds a cure, administers it and we are well. No more crime. We've had so many politicians in the past who actually ran as Society Doctors and promised to eliminate crime. One of the most prominent was Richard Nixon who ran on Law and Order. His vice president, Agnew, went to the penitentiary, Nixon himself tried to help cover up a burglary and had to resign to avoid impeachment. Governmental malpractice. The patient nearly died, wounded his party big time.
I guess we may as well get used to living with crime. It has always been with humankind, so, please, no more political promises to eliminate crime.

So, I guess that the public steals gas and the gas company steals back? No, that can't be it.

  • Posted By: olderwiser @ 06/13/2008 8:08:46 PM

The most humorous crime was the giant gas company Enron, stealing from the public, and sadly, it's own employees. Those who say that poverty causes crime need to explain why billionaires steal from their employees. Thanks in advance. I will check back for the explanation.

Another superb gift from the Bush/Cheney/Rice legacy. We are all so blessed, I defy the next administration to be able to provide nearly so abundantly for us, the people, than the elephants did!
SUV owners, you knew this was coming! Now, the piece of junk you drive isn't worth jack! Head for the used car lot, folks, and find yourself a nice, used compact car. Perhaps the $200 trade in on the SUV you will get can go toward the down payment? As ye sew...

Agree in part. And lest we forget - the Democratic Congress' approval rating is lower than the President's.

Prices are bad, but bottom line, there are other options. Nobody should go to stealing others gas! I'm sick and tired of hearing people complain about "there is no other option. I have to drive ___ miles to work. I live in the country, I can't ride a scooter on a busy highway. I'm running out of people to blame for my problems......." Quite whining. If you can't afford to pay for gas, sell your car and find an alternative source of transportation. I don't like paying higher prices anymore then the next person, but i will. Use your brain people. It is sad and pathetic to see so many people gripe about the price of gas, when you look at other countries and the problems they're dealing with. Shows how petty some of the American people have turned when they are up in arms about gasoline. Sad we as a nation have come so dependant on fossil fuels.
