Hussein's not a mohammed??? Someone needs to tell his brother.........

The Jerusalem Post, via LGF, reported:

Barack Obama's half brother Malik said Thursday that if elected his brother will be a good president for the Jewish people, despite his Muslim background.

In an interview with Army Radio he expressed a special salutation from the Obamas of Kenya.
Barack Obama's brother Malik Abongo "Roy" Obama is a Luo activist and a militant Muslim who argues that the black man must "liberate himself from the poisoning influences of European culture."

    GREAT NEWS!!!!!!

    Todays Polling:

"The Rasmussen Reports Balance of Power Calculator shows Barack Obama leading in states with 200 Electoral College votes while John McCain leads in states with 174 votes. When leaners are included, Obama leads 284-240. On Friday, June 20, Colorado moved from Leans Democratic to Toss-Up but Ohio did the reverse, moving from Toss-Up to Leans Democratic. "

Rasmussen will also give a state-by-state count.

So much for the GOP's "electoral map" argument....LMAO!!!!

    Oh happy days!!!!!!!

    For the record:

The latest Gallup Poll has McCain running neck-and-neck with Obama.

Maybe I gave up too soon.

If Obama does not need us pro-Hillary guys, why all the fuss?

Let us vote quietly for McCain.

    You don't lose a thing.

Nothing will defeat Obama in 2008.

Since McCain has decided not to hit him on the Jeremiah Wright issue - why he sat in a church spewing anti-American hate drivel for over 20 years while taking the spewer for his family's spiritual mentor - Obama will get away with political murder, as he did with Clinton, who also played softly-softly on this cruicial issue.

Besides, McCain is proving stupid enough to play conservative rather than midlle-of-the-road, in a year when conservatism is utterly unpopular.

So we may take it that it will be Obama in November 2008.

All that will defeat him is his own dishonesty and the foolishness of his incredibly naive, feckless supporters.

Hillary was given a blessing in disguise when Obama rejected her (as it seems) for his Vice-presidential slot.

Now she can quietly sit the Obama disaster out and come back sweetly in 2012 to ask the disillusioned voters: "OK, babies. Had your fun and games with the slick Wonder Boy? Now how about giving Tough Auntie a try?"

you are wrong simonunhappydem and why are you unhappy your guy just won. I think the surge is working, I like the tax cuts, I'm a democrat who happens to like John McCain. I do not think Roe v. Wade will ever be overturned. "Obama will be able to pick people to help run his government" that is priceless. Aren't those the same words we used about Bush? Not good enough ... Obama for all his rhetoric is more of the same, another deer in the headlights ... just what this country needs. You can call me bitter or whatever you want but the man can't bring it and I am not voting in good concious for someone who is not capable.

    • Posted By: marksgershenson @ 06/14/2008 7:56:19 PM

The tax cuts, so ten trillion in debt is not enough and we are spending what 30 billion a month or more for a quagmire. There is a great possibility that two supreme court justices will need to be replaced in the next eight years. Do you think a shift in the balance of the US Supreme court could create havoc...??? Can you explain how Obama is a deer in headlights? Please elaborate because your analogy needs some type of support.

And so McCain is capable of what? Of breathing out both sides of his mouth at the same time? And as he is getting older, sadly he is starting to make less sense. I cannot wait for the debates to take place, because I think he is going to be toast.

And lets talk about experience...did you know that Obama has one year less of being senator than JFK when JFK became president? I guess that nobody should have voted for JFK either. He saved our country from WWIII. Do you think if Obama is elected that he will surround his self with a bunch of morons and neocons to help him make policy? Bush has thrown our country to ruins....a quagmire, people having to chose between eating or buying gas to go to work so he or she can work, and you are saying that Obama can make this country become worst, Why?

      • Posted By: NeverSurrender @ 06/14/2008 11:00:14 PM

It does not matter who Obama chooses as his VP because he will not be elected. The DNC has alienated too many voters who will not support their selected nominee, Barack Obama. This is not the Democratic Party that we signed up for. We are saying: NO DEAL!

Obama's supporters have not noticed what the rest of the Democratic Party has seen. There are too many red flags flying over Barack Obama's head. Obama said that it was a boneheaded mistake to be involved in a real estate deal with Tony Rezko, the now convicted felon, who Obama knew was under federal investigation at the time. Was it also a boneheaded mistake for Obama to accept campaign contributions from Rezko? What about having frequent lunches with Rezko, socializing with Rezko and his wife, and even going to Rezko's vacation home in Wisconsin?

Excuse me for connecting all of these dots and being unwilling to elect Barack Obama to the office of President of the United States. He is not the kind of change that we want. Never Obama.

        • Posted By: marksgershenson @ 06/15/2008 3:06:32 AM

Your first statement it does not matter who Obama chooses as his VP because he will not be elected....Okay, are you a p/o Hillary supporter? You say this is not the democratic party that you signed up for which leads me to believe that you are hurt by what happened to Hillary? I understand your feelings are hurt, and I empathize with all the Hillary supporters about their candidate. Lives and time goes forward, and if you feel that Obama does not meet yoiur standard, go to McCain stop whining because you do not impress me....next

What has the rest of the Democratic pary has not seen that you have personally seen? That Florida and Michigan moved their primaries up, and all the candidates agreed to not campaign in those states? Can you be so kind and elaborate on why your upset?

I truly appreciate leaders in business or any endeavor is when a mistake is made, that he or she admits to it, and moves forward. It is called character. Please see http://josephsoninstitute.org/sixpillars.html This is what we are trying to teach our kids, and our politicians have to be held to the same standard. If that is the case, where has Obama's character been short on the Rezko case? He admitted he made a mistake? Can you elaborate why this is an issue for you?

So, what type of change do you want? I bet the change you wanted is that Hillary be nominated by the Democratic party? If I am wrong, so be it... Usually I am pretty accurate...I didn't expect the Lakers to be in trouble against the Celtics either....

          • Posted By: NeverSurrender @ 06/18/2008 11:46:32 PM

I guess there is no nice way to say this. Obama does not seem to be honest and trustworthy. The DNC does not seem to be honest and trustworthy. Obama is a Chicago Machine Democrat who is not the change I can believe in. He is another example of politics as usual in Chicago/ Illinois. Obama will not have my vote. I have signed up at http://www.johnmccain.com as have many other former Democrats.

            Good-bye DNC.

WITH ALL DUE RESPECT-THERE IS NO WAY YOU ARE A TRUE DEMOCRAT.

      1. A TRUE DEMOCRAT WOULD NEVER VOTE FOR A MAN WHO IS TAKING BUSH'S SIDE MORE AND MORE ON SUCH IMPORTANT ISSUES AS THE ECONOMY AND THE WAR

      2. THE SURGE IS WORKING? LOL!! THAT'S LIKE GETTING AN F+. WE ARE IN A COUNTRY THAT DIDN'T DO ANYTHING TO US BASED ON LIES THAT MCCAIN CONTINUES TO IGNORE EVEN THOUGH THIS GROUP YOU MIGHT HAVE HEARD OF -THE BIPARTISAN 911 COMMISSION-WROTE A VERY DETAILED BOOK THAT BASICALLY STATES WE HAVE NO BUSINESS THERE. IT IS COSTING US 5 BILLION A WEEK AND MORE IMPORTANTLY -4000+ AMERICAN SOLDEIRS -HALF OF WHICH WERE UNDER 24 YEARS OF AGE. IT'S SICKENING.

      3. IF YOU LIKE THE TAX CUTS YOU MUST MAKE OVER 250,000 A YEAR-BECAUSE THAT'S REALLY THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO FEEL THEM. YOU DO KNOW THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A TAX CUT(LET ALONE FOR THE TOP 1%) IN AMERICAN HISTORY DURING WAR? YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY? LOOK AT THE F@#$% ECONOMY. IF YOU ARE GOING TO TAKE A RISK LIKE THAT-HAVE IT FOR THE MIDDLE CLASS-LIKE OBAMA IS SUPPOSING

      4. DEER IN THE HEADLIGHTS? PERSONALLY, I HAVEN'T SEEN OBAMA SHOOK YET. NOT AS MUCH AS MCCAIN SEEMS TO BE MENTALLY UNSTABLE. SUNNI'S, SHI'ITES, PRE SURGE AMOUNTS.....HE KEEPS GETTING THEM WRONG AND THAT'S SUPPOSED TO BE HIS DEAL!

      5. HOW DO YOU THINK ROE V. WADE WON'T BE OVERTURNED WHEN ALITO, SCALIA, THOMAS AND ROBERTS CAN'T WAIT TO DO IT. THE NEXT PRESIDENT WILL BE PICKING AT LEAST 2 JUDGES. THEY REALLY ONLY NEED ONE MORE-WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT YOU "THINK"?! YOU NEED TO "KNOW"-WAAY TO MUCH OF AN IMPORTANT ISSUE .....SCALIA CALLS ROE V. WADE BAD LAW-YOU DON;'T THINK HE WON'T JUMP AT THAT-READ SOME OF HIS DECISIONS. THE CONSERVATIVES ON THE COURT ARE COMPLETE IDEALOGUES. THEY ONLY LIKE THE CONSTITUTION WHEN IT FITS THEIR POLITICS-CHECK OUT HIS OPINION ON HABEUS CORPUS AT GITMO. THE FUTURE OF THE WOMEN IN YOUR FAMILY DEPENDS ON YOU KNOWING-BASICALLY IT'S THIS-MCCAIN HAS A 0 RATING ON WOMEN'S RIGHTS-OBAMA HAS A PERFECT SCORE ON IT-END OF F&**(( DISCUSSION YOU FAKE DEMOCRAT.

Not true, I am what I am ... a wealthy democrat for McCain. I registered as a democrat at 18 because my parents were democrats. This election has forced me to take a good hard look at the party I belong to and my whole belief system. Change - an interesting concept.

Why are you "staying in the party long enough to vote out every super who took part in this mess'"?Get out now; the PRIMARY is over! You can vote for whomever you choose now. (I am a lifelong Independent who has never voted in a primary and even I know that)

      • Posted By: simonanunhappydem @ 06/14/2008 5:48:16 PM

Shirc, I agree with most of your arguments. BUT, why do you need to start with name calling, like doubting that he is a true democrat. Not to mention yelling by using all capital. If we can not have a civil discussion, based on logical arguments and facts, we are all not real democrats.

    • Posted By: simonanunhappydem @ 06/14/2008 5:14:36 PM

Actually ???my guy??? was Clinton, not Obama, and this is part of the reason why I am an unhappydem. But not the main reason. That is the tone of the Obama faction of the democratic party used during this campaign, and that is being used even now when the nomination is decided. It is truly dispiriting to se echoes of the worst republican name calling coming from people who call themselves democrats???

Nothing wrong to like John McCain, he is an OK guy, with some likable qualities. But he promised to appoint ???conservative??? judges if elected (listen to his campaign speeches that he gave to right wing audiences). And, ???conservative??? is the code word for right wing political zealots, like Scalia and Clarence Thomas, the latter being not only a right wing zealot but also totally incompetent, in the best Bush tradition (well this was Bush the elder, but same family). So, if you vote for McCain you are voting for stuffing the supreme court with these types of ultra right wing judges (because our bellowed democratic congress people never had the guts to actually say no to these political nominations, even when they had clear senate majority, like when Thomas was nominated). And, that would decide the course of our country in many important ways, like human rights, privacy rights, habeas corpus, freedom of speech, etc., for 30+ years, which is much longer than a presidential term. So, while I believe that the democrats chose the wrong nominee in Obama, I will vote for him, as I said in these blogs before. I urge you to do the same: hold your nose and vote democratic in November.

Sorry honey, but Obama is not the "dear in the headlights" he is the driver of the truck. The dear in the headlights is McCain and all the BUSHITE followers.
      1. Glad your are wealthy to enjoy Bushes "tax cuts".
      2. The surge is working? How many US soldiers have died this month so far?....well? that would be 14 that's one a day, so tell me how it's working? is one of our sons or daughters dying each day in a "WAR FOR OIL" worth while to you, is that how you show you support them?
      3. You won't vote for some one who is not capable (in your oppinion) So you can't be voting for Mccain he is not even capcble of keeping facts straight, seperating himself from Bush, SUPPORTING OUR TROOPS, keeping his foot out of his mouth, so who will it be...Bob Barr?

A vote for McCain is a vote for MORE DEAD AMERICAN CHILDREN and a Nation destroyed in everyway.

How nice of you to presume a conversation between Clinton and Obama. It just shows that you will not stoop to any low to insult, embarass or hurt Senator Clinton. No wonder they call you Eleanor "Swiftboat".
You are really a piece of work, no make that a piece of sh*t...... For a publication to actually pay someone like you a salary is really pathetic....

    • Posted By: Medge @ 06/13/2008 3:26:38 PM

I fail to see why this article by Eleanor Clift would be insulting or embarrasing to Senator Clinton. I think it's really eloquent and imaginative.
On the other hand, your comment reflects a diehard, unimaginative, negative-minded nincompoop, who can't tell the difference between artful speculation and intentional insult. What are you so angry about?
Senator Clinton lost, and Obama won fair and square. If you can't accept that, you will be angry for a long time. So, chill out, and be happy! Good luck.

        Dear Medge...
Obviously you have not read the previous articles that Ms. "Swiftboat" has written about Senator Clinton. She graciously left the race a week ago. We don't need to continue to have the mainstream media not only continue to bash her, speculate about her or denigrate her. As a college educated person, I believe I can tell the difference between artful speculation and intentional insult. As for being angry, you're right I and about 18 Million people are angy. Angry at the media, DNC and idiots like you who continue to support a unqualified, lying, racist elitist....
So, why don't you chill out and be happy. I'm perfectly content. Every day I just sit and watch the trainwreck called "Obama" falling off the rails...
Good luck to you and to this country if the voters are both foolish and stupid enough to vote Democratic in November......

I have a double BS -been a single parent for 4 kids. We know who is the best to carry on. Some news people said they thought Obama looked a little hangry the night he told his people in SD he had enough Dels. To me - he looked scared and worried and unsure of himself.

I think he must have been wrangling over what to do about the michelle whitey tape over the weekend. It was last Thursday when a reporter asked about it and he lost his cool. You are right -- he looked really rough this week.

You would choose McCain over Obama, even with Hillary strenuously pleading with you not to? Really?

Suppose you do vote for McCain, and he wins. You go to Hillary and say, "Yeah! We did it for you!" What do you think her response would be? Would it be (a) "Thanks for your support, you correctly figured out that I never really wanted Obama to win the general election, but I felt like I had to say it because otherwise my political career would be ruined!" Or would it be (b) "You m---f--- idiot, have you completely lost your mind? How in the world does this help the Democratic party?"

You are probably wet-dreaming that it is (a). The ironic thing is, of course, that if you are right, and you are doing what Hillary REALLY wants, then she is every bit the scumbag politico that her enemies say she is.

  • Posted By: hcarrillo29 @ 06/17/2008 12:57:30 AM

By now the strategists of Obama are arguing that they can win the election without the Hillary supporters.
That do nothing but adding insult to the injury. But regardless of the rethoric the fact remains that there is only 3 choices for those supporters: vote for Obama, vote for Mccain or not to vote. At this point my personal decision is that I will vote for Mccain!

    • Posted By: Johnsonium @ 06/17/2008 2:26:35 AM

I agree. All stupid people like you should support McCain. He's the idiot's candidate. In fact, they should have a bumper sticker, "Morons for McCain".

Now carillo, when you say that God can't change something, you are going to run smack into Holy Roller who writes in these blogs. I wouldn't have done that, though I agree that the others you mentioned can't change it. But, just as soon as Obama gets into office, I think that he might get that started. Sooner the better we let the Iraqis finish fixing up their own country. We need to work on ours, too. Iraqis been leaning on our good nature and our massive budget a little too long.

They are loyal and respectable supporters and I respect them. I made a little sport of carillo's extremely picturesque language, but all in good fun. My hat is off to Hillary and all of her loyals. By now the war already became a fact of life, and there is nobody, not Obama, not Hillary not even God can change that. They, the jihadds, the liberators, the guerrillas, will continue killing American soldiers even after Obama gets elected. The true question is who is the lesser of the two evils?....Second; Thousands and probably millions of Democrats are totally dissapointed with the Democratic Party as it is. And that's another fact of life!. They (or we) just do not like the way this primary was stolen through the horrible caucus system being used in States that don't even vote Democrat in the general election. If there was a time for a thorough investigation of the Democratic primaries it would probe that the election (or elections) was stolen to Hillary Clinton in Florida, Michigan, Texas and other States!!

Since Obama is willing to reach out to the other Party, he should at least consider Schwarzeneger for VP.
Being born in Austria gives him credibility on foreign affairs; he got the accent, the sophistication, the connection with the kennedys and the 30 plus electoral votes from California. Besides, the Republicans from California are more liberal tha the democrats in the east coast!! Only in this country like Obama says, as long as he puts his money where his mouth is!!

Well, what were they smoking in the conspiratorial smoke filled room while cooking up false alternativa in the smugness of their patriarchal camaraderie where they wrongfully established the white and male parameters for this election with all their contempt for any gender not male, and even considered black male over feminine?

Olderbutnotwiser, how much are you paid by the Republican party to alienate Hillary Clinton supporters from the Democratic party?
