Your username is fine and you are too. Jim won't cancel your blogging license. He's a good guy.
I can't believe I just read every comment. Whew! I haven't quite decided who I think would be best VP. If Senator Clinton is VP she would preside over the Senate, which could very helpful to an Obama presidency. She'd have the tying vote. On the other hand, if she remained in the Senate and Obama selected a former Senator or Governnor, then the Democrats would have Clinton's vote on the floor plus the VPs, if needed. In other words, there is quite an advantage to putting Clinton on as VP and even more if she would continue as a Senator.
By the way, the ranting against Obama and McCain is senseless. Neither is the devil in disguise. Both are intelligent. You decide what you want to see accomplished and who you believe would be most likely to get it done. But, whoever is elected will inherit a gridlocked government on nearly every issue - immigration, the economy, an energy policy, health care, social security reform, education reform, infrastructure work and Iraq. Neither Obama or McCain will be able to make huge inroads. All we can hope for is some progress on a few of the issues. If we get that, at least things will be improving and going forward.
You're right Dick Cheney is the devil, however, Johny Mac said he would consider a cab position for Cheney, WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU?!!!!
The rest of the difference are obvious, one wants to save lives and our country, one wants to kill more Americans for OIL and continue to destroy our country.
you can figure out who is who ;)
DEMOCRATS FOR MCCAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Albert Einstein once said ???The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results??? So Vakosh, since I am new to your blog area, when I see you post the same things over and over and over again, especially with caps shows me that you are not capable of reasonable discussion. Therefore, I will not challenge you or your remarks because I see your not open to dialogue...nor are you capable of entering a reasonable dialogue....Enjoy getting a rise from other people....
You are no Democrat but a republican cheering on your canidate. Mr. Mc Cain has no clue about the ecomony and is now trumpeting Bush's tax policy you know the one he was against a few years ago. About bringing the troops home well another hundred years is ok with him as long as ther are not any casualties. Obama will win in November and Mc Cain will finish out his term in the Senate before progressive folks in Arizonia vote him out of office. Go Gbama "08
Obama has no choice but to put Hillary on the ticket with him. Right now he is tring to prove by the polls he can win without her. Everyone in the Democratic Party knows he can not win unless Hillary is on the ticket.. If she ran as an Ind I would vote for her. If she is not ont the Obama vp ticket - I will vote for McCain. I have always admired McCain from the day I saw him get off the plane as a POW survivor. I do remember that day. Like the day JFK/ MLK/Bobby K were killed. I was very young but my mother made us watch. I trust McCain with our troops and finishing up Iraq. Even Obama now says it will take 16 months in Iraq after he takes office. McCain has 2 grown sons in Iraq - you can trust him with your sons and daughters. A vote for McCain will be a vote for Hillary in 2012.
http://www.fightthesmears.com
Johnsonium, You must be one of the paid Obama bloggers that I read about.
Paid? Nope. It's the opposite. I gave Obama $25 a couple months ago. I am an Obama supporters and will point people to the Website that sets the record straight on all the smears people are trying to use against Obama.
Johnsonium, never mind politicaljunkie......
HE´s the paid blogger!!!!
Reminds me of the racist mercenary blogger, Stupid-in-Alabama with his
numerous fake identities!
You obviously don't care about women issues. Another case of cut my nose off to spite my face.
You definitely have this idiot pegged really good.
You are the idiot that he was criticizing, my friend.
Obama Drama:
I understand perfectly where you come from and agree with you 100% that Obama supporters have talked trash about Clinton during the campaign. They have been very uncivilized to say the least. I would likewise, vote for Clinton as an independent presidential candidate and believe she would defeat Obama and McCain.
Besides voting for McCain, there is another option that you might consider: do a write-in vote for Clinton. This way you can say you ddn't support Obama or McCain. I basically decided that I would do a write-in vote for Clinton if Obama doesn't offer the VP spot to her. Finally, if Obama loses in November, Clinton should come back in 2012. I don't think McCain would run for re-election at 75 years of age.
Obama does have irrational, hostile supporters on the blogs. But they aren't the problem. He just isn't qualified.
http://www.fightthesmears.com
I am also a very strong Hillary supporter, but I don't want her on the ticket with Obama. I intend to vote for McCain whether or not she's Obama's vp. Only way I'll vote for a ticket with Obama on it is if Obama is the vp to another democrat.
http://www.fightthesmears.com
Hillary's slogan was "Ready on Day One." No one doubts her capacity to be president,
I disagree. The reason I didn't like Hillary is I don't think she is qualified. She misran healthcare reform under President Clinton. I could list many votes in the Senate that she voted wrong. She hired an inept campaign team and she and her campaign floundered and ran into debt. She has never done anything right. She is the last person I would trust, it has nothing to do with being a woman and everything to do with her record. Hillary supporters may believe it is sexism, but sexism had nothing to do with my dislike of Hillary, it was Hillary that I don't like not women. Kathleen Sebelius on the other hand is a successful governor and I would be fine with her as VP.
Start naming the votes that she voted on that were wrong, Since your candidate only votes present and is so qualified. Get real.
The Iraq War. The Kyl-Lieberman amendment. Support of the flag burning amendment.....etc.
By the way Obama would have supported the flag burning amendment also. After all he doesn't salute it nor did he find it necessary to wear a lapel pin of it until he found it expedient to do so.
The amendment would BAN flag burning. So, your comment makes absolute no sense. This is entirely consistent with all of your other posts.
Guess what there are quite a few people that think your post aren't the most intelligent.
No, politicaljunkie, you just don´t have the IQ. Sorry.
But never mind, there are worse things in life.
At least, you´re healthy enough to blog here.
Even if it´s absolute nonsense!
I really didn't ask you however I should have known you would have thrown in some kind of answer. I wanted to see if huckbubba could list anything. Since you can name what Hillary voted for can you now name what Obama voted for. NOTHING. And he didn't vote against the war he only said he would have if he was in the senate, however he wasn't and had he been he would have voted for it also.
Politicaladdict - Let's see SCHIP expansion, increasing federal minimum wage from $5.15 to $7.25 over a period of two-years, secure fence act, GI Bill, and Equal Pay Bill.
Sen. McCain could not be bothered with the GI Bill or the Equal Pay Bill. Of course, he voted NO on a the Hate Crimes Bill.
Change the subject. I got ya.
For anyone interested in Obama's accomplishments and positions, they can find it all here:
http://www.barackobama.com
your are a typical Obama support, nasty.
Bill and Hillary are nasty. Especially Big Baggage Bill.
It's funny how if you don't let the Hillerites sit and spew their lies, whinning, crying, moaning, and STILL complaining that Hillary was NOT ALOUD TO CHEAT, they call names, and make sh!T up and when some one speaks out about it they are nasty, and typical.
Sweetie, stop crying and lying, and we'll stop answering that behavior, m-kay?
The only reason Hillary lost was Hillary.
She has never done anything right? Hmmm
And her Senate votes were wrong too? She sounds really bad. Now her voting record and Obama's are almost identical in the Senate. But I can understand how you woiuld feel that her vote was wrong, but when he cast the identical vote it was right. I see that there is a very significant difference there --- he's a he and she's a she.
By the way, the republicans were never racist --- they were quite willing to vote for Alan Keys and confirm Clarence Thomas.
Also, by the way, I despise Obama and certainly don't trust him. But I'd be very happy with Colin Powell as a vp, or even as president. Now there's a man with integity.
YEEEeeeeeeaaaaaAAAAHH! i know one vote that was not "identical". And her yes vote has cost 4500 American lives. SHE DOES NOT READ INTELL REPORTS!!!
It's funny how you don't trust the honest one, and love the liar? Man you've got issues...
But Obama was not even a memeber of Congress at the time that vote was taken. Have you ever attended a sports game where the audience know a whole lot more about what the coach and players on the field should be doing? That is the case with Obama & his vote against the war. Who is to say what he would have done if he was actually a member of Congress & was presented the same facts given to the members of Congress at the time?
But there is one area we do know that Obama flunked miserably - he fiddled whilst the African AMerican community figuratively burned. For he had a ring side seat for 20 years to observe Rev. Wright charge up impressionable folks with defeatist thoughts. Where was the message of HOPE & CHANGE? Where were the loud shouts of YES WE CAN? Can you gauge how many folks would have been messed up over a 20-year period. I am sure that these folks lives would have been that much richer if their paths had crossed the Clintons' instead. For I can be sure that however mean you think Bill & Hill these two would have given these folks positive words of encouragement.
Regardless, HILLARY VOTED FOR THE DEATH OF 4500 AMERICANS BECUASE SHE IGNORED INTELLIGENCE (as she has done her whole life...lol). As far as Rev. Wright, who do you think was brought to the Whote House during the Lewinsky scandal to help counsel the Clintons?...YUP!
Could you define "defeatist thoughts"? That's a funny one...
Hillary voted to go to war with Iraq. Hillary voted to name the Iranian Revolutionary Guard a terrorist organization which gives Bush a reason to attack Iran. Hillary voted to allow federal agents to remove guns from law abiding people protecting their homes after a hurricane. I live in a hurricane area and it is after a hurricane when you need to protect yourself because there is no electricity and no phones, including cel phones and many times can't get police help. Obama was against the Iraq war and voted against the others. My dislike of Hillary is because I dislike her votes. I liked President Clinton when he was president however in recent times he has lost much of his appeal and should stay in his library where he won't put his foot in his mouth. Hillary's sex has nothing to do with my dislike of her, it's her record I don't like.
"By the way, the republicans were never racist --- they were quite willing to vote for Alan Keys and confirm Clarence Thomas."
Ah...you blew your cover. No Democrat would ever say such nonsense.
Colin Powell HAD integrity. That was before he put his reputation behind a bogus case for an Iraq invasion. He knew it was wrong at the time and didn't have the balls to stand up and say so.
Why are so many people afraid of Obama?
I love my cat, but I'd be afraid for the country if he was president. And he has about the same experience level as Obama.
Core Racist in Texas and Alabama, your absurdity can only be surpassed by your racism!
You didn´t mention your mail man today?
So, your cat and your mail man, maybe your clean up woman are all more qualified than Obama!?
You must be sick in the head!
Right, Obama has run this masterful campaign, coordinating roughly 700 people and orchestrating one of the biggest upset in campaign history because he has no "experience". And he has written an awesome book, about politics, commitments to our principles, and about his country. I knew when I read it, at the start of the Democratic primary, that he would be president. But you would suggest that he wrote this without "experience". His years in grass-roots community organizing in Chicago supposedly give him no "experience"? He has plenty of experience for me, and millions of other thinking people.
The arguments of the vanquished get sillier and sillier.
I have my own theories, but I think it would be impolite to elaborate. I think it's important to not further divide this country, and make excuses. We can leave that to the Hillary folks that still are crying about not getting their way.
Johnsonium - Please elaborate. IT is called discussion.
I am a woman who will not vote for Obama and just received my new voters registation card that does not say Dem anymore. I am 58 and have always been a Dem. I am going to be an indi voting for McCain in November, not for McCain, but against Obama, a man who's turn it is not. Oh I am from 1/2 vote Florida.
Sure, help the Republicans "obliterate" what´s left of America!
You know, Bush, McCain and Co. haven´t done enough havoc!!!
I feel the same way you do. I never, ever thought I'd vote for a republican, but it's McCain for me this year (I've already sent him a donation). And I just don't know if I'll ever be able to support the DNC again --- I've supported the DNC and the Senate and Cong Reelection Campaign Committees for decades, donated every 2 years. But I just can't support them anymore. But I'm not sure it's accurate to say I left the democratic party; I feel like the party deserted the real democrats.
It's not only a shame but it's embarrassing.
Countless women, including Hillary, are showing why is APPEARS a WOMAN could NEVER be President. One word, E-M-O-T-I-O-N.S, you (not as a whole, but in great part) are incapable of separating logic from emotion, seeing the greater good. Instead of showing a cool head and a true support for this country we love, and the party you belong to, women almost literally CRY about the loss, HILLARY LIES to try and further only one thing...HERSELF! Not this country, not any cause, just HER, and women, so desperate to finally get the golden goose, and break through the "highest glass ceiling in the country"..(Hillary says), have lost sight of what is truly important, OUR CHILDREN, OUR COUNTRY, and righting the wrongs that BUSH has committed, not just against this country, but against the world also. If she was the "best candidate" TRULY the best, she would not have to beg, cry, scream, lie, and whine for it, neither would her supporters. She would just have it, like OBAMA does.
You are incapable of controlling your "rage" and so is she, and you think that makes her "tough", if a guy doesn???t control his rage, he has to take classes for it, but Hillary is just "a fighter". You can't control your desperation, and neither can she, she LIES, USES KARL ROVE as a "source" for her "math". and equates he "struggle" to everything you can possibly imagine, to try and get support for herself.
And then to cap it all off, you can't control your "scorn"...Quoting almost every one of you so called Hillary supporters..."since she did'nt get it, I will vote for McCain"...embarrassing, and sad. "You" as a gender do not seem ready to hold such a position of POWER and RESPONSIBILITY, sorry to say, that is the impression she is giving to America, and THAT is why she has LOST, not FL, not MI, not OBAMA, none of the LIES she has come up with, She can't do it, TOO out of control of herself, and Bill is just an enabler.
Like it or not, it is what it is...
If you want to betray your country because your feelings are hurt, that's sad and sick, but it just proves the point.
Good riddance. We likely won't win Texas anyway. There are too many ignorant people down there.
Good riddance.
We welcome your vote melody, McCain 2008!
Good riddance.
That's 1/2 vote Republican Florida - Thanks to Legislature and Gov. Crist - both party's are 1/2 vote.
you are right on the money ... and I am having a difficult time too. You know I never would have thought of it, never even considered it, but after counting out two states and then crowning a victor I began to look at my core principals and what I really believe and stand for. I started doing a lot of research and found I was not too far from many of the convictions of Sen. McCain. This election has led me down a path I never expected to take. But I like where I am at and I have complete confidence that I am making the right decision.
I know what you mean. McCain has experience and integrity, so he'd have to be better than Obama, even if he is a republican.
Obama would be a mirror image of Bush.
Oh no! CoreDemocrat-Stupid-in-Alabama-Sharenews-VotersIssues-IllinoisVoter-Realbill--------- again!!!!
I keep hearing McBush has experience, can anybody tell me what that experience is? PLEASE!? It can't be millitary, he only had 20hrs of FLIGHT (not actual combat, face to face) over Viet Nam before being shot down and becoming the hottest actor in VC history, right up there with Jane. So what is the experience you speak of, is it his senate history? Shouting and cussing, temper tantrums, SNL scandals, broken promises, like the vow he took before a group of Az POWs, he said he would never use his "POW" status for political gain, or the NO SHOW/NO VOTE for the NEW GI BILL supporting our sons and daughters at war and their families, is that the experience you speak of? Please tell me how he is a "hero"?
Tell me what "integrity" this man has when he does not support our troops, wants to keep the wars going and add one more, and it's such an IMPORTANT WAR FOR OIL, that his own son is back stateside, why is he back? When does he re-deploy, I mean if daddy thinks it's best, should sonny boy be FIRST IN LINE?
PUT YOUR SONNY WHERE YOU WAR IS JOHN, OR STOP ASKING OTHER TO DIE FOR YOUR OIL.
One of McCain's sons already served in Iraq, and another is in the military as well.
"Served"? I'm sorry is the war over? If the answer is NO and McCain wants to continue occupation for 100yrs, let his "son" lead the way. and NEVER LEAVE UNTIL THE LAST AMERICAN IS HOME! F#$K JOHN MCCAIN AND HIS SON, WHY IS HIS SON HOME WHILE OTHERS DO 7 TOURS?
A mirror image is a reverse image.
You are not a Democrat. You blew your cover.
So your "core principals" are MORE DEAD AMERICANS, a morally and economicly bankrupt country, with no end insight to the two wars we are in already, and then starting a third? quoting sean hannity "you're a great American." go ahead and vote with the 20% of the people who think this country is on the right path, and we'll take care of reality ;)
Good riddance.
DEMOCRATS FOR MCCAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!
NO DEMOCRATS FOR McCain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NO Vakoshes in America!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DEMOCRATS FOR MCCAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!
How about I am for McCain and stop speaking for everyone who is in the Democratic party....
I'm a 63 year old man. I can't find anyone who truly thinks a man of 70+ should be the president. Ronald Reagan was losing his memory at the end of his presidency. There is no way I could ever vote for McCain on the age issue alone. This is not the job of a bank president or large firm. It is leading the country. He can barely decide his direction now. If he hasn't found a clear direction other than the agenda he has grown up on over the last 70 years he will not plot any new ground in a world that is quickly leaving us behind.
Enter Your Comment I dig McCain ... I can't help it !!!!!!!!!!!
Don't call yourself a Democrat for Mc Cain just tell the truth, a Republican for Mc Cain. He's alomst senile already with no clear agenda for this country. Keeping our troops in a country that doesn't want us there will not kepp America safe. Mc Cain doesn't have any idea of what to do about the economy which is the number one issue facing most Americans. Obama will be the next President come November 2008, and that's for sure!
Bayh IS the perfect choice for Obama and the electorial map to victory
No one knows what was said between Clinton/ and Obama. No one knows what Kissinger said to Nixon, and vice versa. Period.
thats not quite true. Nixon recorded most of his conversations with his cabinet
Or Rumsfeld and Hussein, Bush and the Bin Ladens, Cheney and The Devil...wait, Cheney is the Devil.
A place on the cabinet. Czar for middle class and fueling new manufacturing.
Hillary would be good at what you are saying or as a supreme court justice appointment...she is not going to disappear anytime soon, but she could be great in a cabinet position...no question.....and I am also concerned that McCain is losing it...he is making comments that are not supported...it is getting scary
LOL true
I dont think any one would make him look good and one with a brain would help..The loser wants a one world government at any cost bough and payed off many democrats leader .I wish you people luck afer you lose your country.
omg please support your commentary, or is this your opinion? Happy to say, this election is going to be different for many reasons. When I see a pure emotional posting such as yours, I worry that you are not going to vote. Our country is in economic ruin, our country in is a quagmire, and so what exactly is your point about your posting? That Obama has no brain? Next.....
No sweetie, we'll be TAKING OUR COUNTRY BACK! thank you. it is you who will be losing the disgrace of a government YOU and 20% of the rest of you call a country. We'll fix and help you to because that's what we do as TRUE AMERICANS we help each other.
BTW you do NOT want to compare IQs between McDrunkThroughSchool and Obama, EVERYBODY knows that, better get caught up. Why do you think McCain won't face Obama in debate.
Sore loser, I suppose a warmonger who wants government to tell women what to do with their bodies is a better option??? Paid off who?? The only candidate that is a washington outsider and does not accept corporate $$ will be our next president!!
P.S by IQ standards he is also the most intelligent, thats Mr. President to you!!
It is sad, but there seems to be some sort of tragic,,justice by seeing all of those old, white, male chauvinistic warriors resigning, fainting collapsing after the epic fatigue derived from the homeric battle with the female villain!!!
Obama is a dangerous combination:
He combines the worst of Presidents Bush AND Carter.
Remember Bush slogan ???I am a Uniter not a Divider???, a candidate full of hot air, without any history who promises a lot and delivers a disaster.
Carter is the worst president that the USA ever had. He brought us an inflation rate of 20% due to his dumb economic policies, he created Iran as we know it today, controlled by the ayatollahs, he made sure that there is no peace between Israel and the Palestinians, he reduced our Military to zero (we needed President Reagan to reverse Carters stupid inaction), see who are Obama foreign policy advisors most of them are the same failures during the Carter administration...
Obama brings a combination of the two; he is full of hot air, chants like a Parrot ???Change??? and is expected to be a total disaster.
The sign of a great leader is someone who can make mistakes, ADMIT to their mistakes and grow. Obama has taken challenges head on and when he is wrong he says he is wrong. Great leaders make mistakes, admitting to them, and grow like hell to fulfill a higher purpose.
Your remark abou the worst president and Carter, I refer you to http://www.usnews.com/usnews/news/worstpresidents/
In a most recent poll, Bush is right on top of the list now...again get your facts correct. Change is what our country is begging for....Are you personally better off then you were eight years ago?.
Economic policies of Carter...new evidence is showing that the Federal reserve deserves as much blame as anyone during those years of inflation. Carter had brokered the peace deal between Egypt and Israel during his term....what has Bush done? Again no research means that you are going to be torn to shreds on your remarks....
Finally, in 2000 McCain was swiftboated by his own party...see http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/february2008/020708_never_tortured.htm I will sleep better after you read the URL
I agree. Obama, if elected, will cause a lot of grief and problem for our nation, same as Carter did, basically for the same reason: both are inexperienced naive idealists who expect to learn on the job. This should not be the case for the president.
I think Obama is too smart to put her on the ticket. The latest polling shows the mixed ticket is a wash anyway. 22% of registered voters would be more likely to vote for such a ticket. 21% would be less likely to vote for it and 55% say it wouldn't make a difference. That's only 1% which is in the margin of error. I think Hillary is rapidly becoming yesterday's news! And I think the main reason Obama wouldn't want her is that he gets Bill in the bargain! No thabk you!
Well, many of you Obama guys seem to hate Bill Clinton. I for one believe that he was a great president. He was an effective democratic president, and we have not had any of those since Johnson (well, if you take out Vietnam, which was not his creation), who brought great prosperity and peace for our nation. Whether Clinton had a blow job (or many) I could not care less. It seems that all presidents and all people of power have this urge to prove their manhood in extramarital affairs. As long as it does not interfere with their duties it should not be the public???s business. I understand the republican hate mongering, but I am baffled by the democratic hate mongering that is visible on this blog site and others. You guys seem to eat up all the republican bs and lies, straight from republican junk radio and TV. Should Obama pick Hillary Clinton as his running mate and win Bill Clinton will be the greatest asset in his administration. He has all the experience Obama totally lacks, whether it is foreign policy or the economy. However, this will not happen as Hillary would reject a VP spot even if she is offered one. She is presidential material not VP material and she knows it. So, do not worry she will not be in the VP spot.
I agree accept Bill's incident took place in the White House, a public venue!!! And your right HRC is qualified for BHO cabinet or healthcare secretary
DEMOCRATS FOR MCCAIN
Smart Democrats will never vote for McCain!
Never ever!
Are you smart?
IT SHOULD BE DUMBASSES FOR MCCAIN. WHAT WOMAN IN HER RIGHT MIND WOULD VOTE FOR...
1. A GUY WHO HAS A 0 RATING FOR WOMEN'S RIGHTS
2. A MAN WHO HAS A 0 RATING ON WOMEN'S HEALTH ISSUES
3. AND YES-WOULD OVERTURN ROE V. WADE-VERY PLAUSIBLE
4. SAID JUST LAST MONTH HE WOULD NOT FIGHT PRO LIFERS ON INCEST AND RAPE FOR ABORTION....HOW SICK IS THAT?
5. THOUGHT IT WAS FUNNY FOR SOMEONE TO CALL HILLARY A ***
6.CALLED HIS WIFE A K^&* IN FRONT OF PEOPLE
OBAMA ON THE OTHER HAND
1. HAS A PERFECT RATING ON WOMEN'S RIGHTS AND HEALTH ISSUES.
2. WOULD NOT OVERTURN ROE V. WADE
3. HAS A STRONG WOMAN ON HIS SIDE WHO HAD TO FIGHT FOR EVERYTHING
4. RAISED BY AN EVEN STRONGER WOMAN WHO HAD TO FIGHT FOR EVERYTHING
5. HAS DONE NOTHING BUT TREATED AND SPOKE OF HILLARY IN BEST OF TERMS-ESPECIALLY THE LAST 90 DAYS. YOU CAN'T FIND A NEGATIVE THING OUT HIS MOUTH ABOUT HILLARY IN THE LAST 90 DAYS.
IS THERE EVEN A F#%^* COMPARISON? REALLY?
Obama is a dangerous combination:
He combines the worst of Presidents Bush AND Carter.

Vote for McCain he is an excellent substitute for HRC.
Vote for McCain if you want your children to sleep safely at night.
Smart Democrats will never vote for McCain!
Never ever!
Are you smart?.
Your points are ridiculous and completely invalid. Roe v. wade will never be overturned. The surge is working, and I like the tax cuts. You can call us dumbasses for McCain or whatever you would like, but a vote is a vote and you do not have ours. Try for the independents ... only chance you have left.
Roe v. Wade will be overturned in McCain is elected, do not fool yourself otherwise! The surge works only if you listen to Fox Noise. And, whether it works or not we should get out of there and let the Iraqis run their life. We helped them to get rid of Saddam, they should be thankful for that (they are not by the way) but now we have to leave. You hate to pay taxes, but I bet you like Medicare and the police that protects your community, and the firemen that protect your house and the army that is succeeding with the surge (as you see it). These all cost money and paid from our taxes. What we need is not tax cuts but a government and congress that spend out taxes responsively and wisely. The Bush government set out to prove that government is bad, and they succeeded. They proved beyond the shadow of a doubt that an incompetent government run by political hacks, as the Bush cabinet is, is totally ineffective and bad, a total waste of taxpayer???s money. Now we need to prove that a professional well run government is actually good for us as a people, and worth every cent we pay for it in taxes. I hope that Obama will be able to pick people to run his government who are actually competent to do their jobs and not political hacks or big fundraisers. We shall see, I may be naïve to hope for this.
You are absolutely right on McCain and his generation (maybe that' not fair on my part by after all he did get a Barbie Doll on his arm...an old man thing, Hoiwever, I do worry about Michelle as much as everyone worries about Bill. Both need to be reigned in and or put in a sound proof room. I have to tell you though, the purple dress she wore the night of the nomination with the LOW CUT front was not Pres. Wife material. I'm not the only one who thought this. Dang, she was so glaring, that Obama was lost in her bright colors. I found tht disturbing. Conservative is how she should dress for the conservative public. Other wise I'm right there with you. Obama is my candidate.
