      Obama is a dangerous combination:
He combines the worst of Presidents Bush AND Carter.
Remember Bush slogan ???I am a Uniter not a Divider???, a candidate full of hot air, without any history who promises a lot and delivers a disaster.
Carter is the worst president that the USA ever had. He brought us an inflation rate of 20% due to his dumb economic policies, he created Iran as we know it today, controlled by the ayatollahs, he made sure that there is no peace between Israel and the Palestinians, he reduced our Military to zero (we needed President Reagan to reverse Carters stupid inaction), see who are Obama foreign policy advisors most of them are the same failures during the Carter administration...
Obama brings a combination of the two; he is full of hot air, chants like a Parrot ???Change??? and is expected to be a total disaster.

Vote for McCain he is an excellent substitute for HRC.

Folks act as if Obama was a member of Congress at the time the vote for war was taken. Have you ever attended a sports game where the audience know a whole lot more about what the coach and players on the field should be doing? That is the case with Obama & his vote against the war. Who is to say what he would have done if he was actually a member of Congress & was presented the same facts given to the members of Congress at the time?

But there is one area we do know that Obama flunked miserably - he fiddled whilst the African AMerican community figuratively burned. For he had a ring side seat for 20 years to observe Rev. Wright charge up impressionable folks with defeatist thoughts. Where was the message of HOPE & CHANGE? Where were the loud shouts of YES WE CAN? Can you gauge how many folks would have been messed up over a 20-year period. I am sure that these folks lives would have been that much richer if their paths had crossed the Clintons' instead. For I can be sure that however mean you think Bill & Hill these two would have given these folks positive words of encouragement.

FOLKS ACT AS IF THAT WAS AN EASY STANCE TO TAKE FOR A STATE SENATOR. LET ME HELP YOU REMEMBER-TAKING AN ANTI WAR STANCE RIGHT AFTER 911 WAS A POTENTIAL CAREER KILLER. THAT'S WHY HRC VOTED FOR IT. THAT'S WHY WHEN IT WAS MENTIONED AT THE DEBATE ALL THOSE DEMS WHO VOTED FOR IT COULD ONLY LOOK DOWN. DO 5 MINUTES OF RESEARCH-THEY EXACTLY KNEW WTF THAT WERE DOING. THEY WERE GIVING THE DUMBEST AND WORST PRESIDENT IN U.S. HISTORY THE OK TO GO TO WAR WITH A COUNTRY THAT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH 911. AFGHANASTANIANS ARE TO IRAQIS WHAT JAMAICANS ARE TO EGYPTIANS. THEY JUST HAVE THE SAME #%$%^% COLOR SKIN.
TALKING ABOUT THE MAN'S CHURCH IS WEAK. MIND YOU WRIGHT WAS IN THE WHITEHOUSE WITH CLINTON, MIND YOU BUSH AND CHENEY HAS BLOCKED THE NAMES OF ALL THE PASTOR'S THAT GO IN THE WHITEHOUSE-WHICH IS TOTALLY AGAINST OUR RIGHT TO KNOW BUT WHAT'S NEW-, MIND YOU BUSH SR. HAD EAZY-E AT THE WHITE HOUSE FOR DINNER( INVENTOR OF GANGSTER RAP, EX PIMP, EX DRUG LORD WHO DIED OF FULL BLOWN AIDS). MIND YOU WRIGHT HAS HELPED 1000s IN CHICAGO-MANY OF THEM WHITE , MIND YOU HE HAS 2 MASTER DEGREES, A DOCTORATE, VOULUNTEERED FOR VIETNAM AND SYRIA. THAT MAN HAS EARNED THE RIGHT TO GO OFF TO THE LEFT EVERY NOW AND THEN-HAVE EITHER OF YOU DONE THAT MUCH? BY THE WAY-ALL THOSE CLIPS OF WRIGHT, MOSS, FLEGER GOING OFF.....IS OBAMA IN THE CHURCH ON ANY OF THEM? NO-USE YOUR COMMON SENSE. 20 YEARS OF SUNDAY SERMONS DOESN'T MEAN THAT SAME MESSAGE WAS PREACHED EVERY SUNDAY AND DOESN'T MEAN OBVIOUSLY THAT OBAMA WAS THERE EVERY SUNDAY. COMMON SENSE SAYS OTHERWISE. ALSO-HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH BEING PRESIDENT.

Obama has a lot of experience with ecconomy and has given much of his time in helping people. The war no he hasn't been in the service, but that is why you have experienced service men around you to help guide him. McCain realy hasn't had any experience in war or guiding one only in voting for one. He was in a POW camp for the war. had very ittle flight time. Needs to get off that theme. Has no experience in the economy, nor helping the poor. My Father, Uncles and several other relatives served in the ww2, but never did hear them say anything. lost one Uncle, had one in POW camp. My son's each served our country when got out of school and my daughter was in Desert Storm as a Army Nurse. I feel that my family has served the country and done their part and believe it or not they are for Obama, and trying to sit down and talk to other countrys. It takes a person without any peaceful thought to just say if they don't do right just bomb bombThat is what Mr McCain said I heard him say it on TV.As w grow older the white matter between the parts of the brain start to disintergrate, it happens to all of us, as w get older. That isn't saying anything bad about him it is just a fact. To run for President he needs to have a MRI done and the results given out..Then we would all know if he just has a bad temper or it might be a proccess of aging. Also being a POW can and does cause trauma to the thinking Not his fault. But sitting out a war in a camp sure doesn't make a person quified to run one.My father after loosing a leg in WW2 was on amo ship during the Viet Naum war. He had more experience than McCain and wouldn't have said he could run one. We need peace in our time or at least try for it. Thats all got this off my chest.

    • Posted By: simonanunhappydem @ 06/14/2008 4:40:14 PM

I agree with you that McCain is not an experienced war veteran. Whether he is a hero or not I do not know. However, Obama has no experience in economy or anything else for that matter. He was a junior lawyer for a couple of ears, which does not give him much experience as a lawyer, and since then he has been a career politician. He has experience in fundraising and giving speeches, that???s all. As far as talking with your enemies, like the Iranians, it is all good and well, IF you are prepared and the groundwork is laid. You should remember the disaster Kennedy created by sitting down with Chrushchev unprepared in Vienna. Talking in itself is neither a goal not a panacea for anything, especially not for peace.

Obama was a disaster in every place he served as a community organizer, look at his neighborhoods in Chicago: The Crime rate went up, the out of wedlock birthrate went up, educational achievements went down, welfare went up, this is what he wants to deliver to the rest of the USA.

Obama brings a combination of the two; he is full of hot air, chants like a Parrot ???Change??? and is expected to be a total disaster.

I could possible see your point, except for the supreme court. Do you really want to have a court stuffed ultra right wing ideologues? That is what McCain will give you, if elected. He promised it many times. I do not think anyone calling himself a democrat could stand for that

  • Posted By: MarkoM109 @ 06/14/2008 3:26:17 PM

HDavidson, thanks for your frankness. I'm so tired of everyone pussyfooting around the real issues in this race. I would rather have someone with a little less experience (vis a vis less brainwashing) who is sincere about bringing those with the necessary experience together to make good decisions for the future; that's, of course personal preference. The United States is essentially a large, multi-national corporation. Name one CEO out there who knows how to do every task his organization does on a daily or even quarterly basis; there is none. Leaders are defined by their decisions, and I think McPain's decisions and recent statements more than speak for themselves:

    1. What can he do to fix the economy? A: Economics are not my strong suit
    2. What can he do about the war in Iraq? A: Depending on the day, it's either bring them home in four years or a hundred, but when is not important
    3. What can he do to support returning veterans? A: What we have in place now is sufficient

And the list could go on and on...

This isn't leftist spin, these are statements straight out of McPain's mouth. Even if you don't "believe" in Barrack Obama, any reasonable person has to admit he's a better choice than the alternative.

Any woman who votes for someone because "it's her TURN" (or OUR turn), or because "she fought so hard she deserves it." is just plain silly. Yes I said it. Silly women thinking with your overwrought emotional sides; crying because your candidate LOST in a fair fight. She lost because of poor planning and the poor administration of her campaign. Is this the person you want leading you?
I am a 46 year old Independent white grandmother with no interest in politics whatsoever. THIS year I actually care. I contributed to Obamas campaign in February (first time ever for me) and again in April. This man is and extraordinary person; and shouldn't that be the only qualification for being our president??
In our great country, why can't we find an extraordinary person (man woman whatever) to lead us? Because we fear change and many of us don't THINK we FEEL!
MCcain is a good man and he means well. The time has passed for him to help us move forward. I dont care what your political affiliation is- I have none. BUT any woman choosing MCcain out of spite harms her sisters and brothers. He actually said he would choose Supreme Court judges like Roberts, and if you do not understand the implications of that statement; please educate yourselves.

    • Posted By: HDavidson @ 06/14/2008 1:24:11 PM

We have to stop the PC BS about Mccain, he is NOT a good man and does NOT mean well, he is a DICK, and wants more dead Americans, more money for Haliburton and Blackwater, how is that in anyway "good"?

      As for the whinning women...

It's not only a shame but it's embarrassing.
Countless women, including Hillary, are showing why is APPEARS a WOMAN could NEVER be President. One word, E-M-O-T-I-O-N.S, you (not as a whole, but in great part) are incapable of separating logic from emotion, seeing the greater good. Instead of showing a cool head and a true support for this country we love, and the party you belong to, women almost literally CRY about the loss, HILLARY LIES to try and further only one thing...HERSELF! Not this country, not any cause, just HER, and women, so desperate to finally get the golden goose, and break through the "highest glass ceiling in the country"..(Hillary says), have lost sight of what is truly important, OUR CHILDREN, OUR COUNTRY, and righting the wrongs that BUSH has committed, not just against this country, but against the world also. If she was the "best candidate" TRULY the best, she would not have to beg, cry, scream, lie, and whine for it, neither would her supporters. She would just have it, like OBAMA does.
You are incapable of controlling your "rage" and so is she, and you think that makes her "tough", if a guy doesn???t control his rage, he has to take classes for it, but Hillary is just "a fighter". You can't control your desperation, and neither can she, she LIES, USES KARL ROVE as a "source" for her "math". and equates he "struggle" to everything you can possibly imagine, to try and get support for herself.
And then to cap it all off, you can't control your "scorn"...Quoting almost every one of you so called Hillary supporters..."since she did'nt get it, I will vote for McCain"...embarrassing, and sad. "You" as a gender do not seem ready to hold such a position of POWER and RESPONSIBILITY, sorry to say, that is the impression she is giving to America, and THAT is why she has LOST, not FL, not MI, not OBAMA, none of the LIES she has come up with, She can't do it, TOO out of control of herself, and Bill is just an enabler.
Like it or not, it is what it is...
If you want to betray your country because your feelings are hurt, that's sad and sick, but it just proves the point.

      • Posted By: PReed1962 @ 06/14/2008 1:49:21 PM

You said most of this already in another post. McCain is not the devil and Obama is not Jesus. All have feet of clay. (and as a PERSON I agree McCain is no angel, but as an Arizona resident for 36 years I offer my own humble opinion that he means well as a Senator).

        Obama 08

Change we can make together-- Believe it!

        • Posted By: HDavidson @ 06/14/2008 2:54:57 PM

I did say exactly this, it was easier to just oaete it then retype the whole thing...lol
I completely agree, Obama is not Jesus, or Allah for that matter (LMAO). Nor is Mccain the Devil, that's Cheney. McCian is just not a HERO and not really a good man IMO.

      • Posted By: jimbo3800 @ 06/14/2008 1:53:54 PM

Holy Moly, someone had too much coffee today.

So McCain, a decorated veteran and POW, is not a good man? That's pretty fascinating, coming from someone ranting and raving on this blog. So what exactly have you done for your country?

I'm also amused by the Halliburton reference. Do you even have the first idea of what Halliburton is, does, or provides? And what exactly is the McCain/Halliburton link you froth at the mouth about?

You are throwing up all of yourself about things you know nothing about.

        • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 06/14/2008 2:01:24 PM

Hi, Jim. How are you today? Well, I hope.

I have always been grateful and respected John McCain for his service and his endurance as a Vietnam War prisoner. Although I don't support him for president, I do admire him, he is a war hero

          • Posted By: HDavidson @ 06/14/2008 2:44:19 PM

            Here ya go Jimbo Pie...

WOW! Where do I start? Ok, first off, John McCain did not enlist to "fight in Viet Nam", he did what his daddy told him to do. He was was a poor student, who spent most of his time drinking, and soliciting prostitutes. His lack of interest in an education, or desire to truly apply himslef to his training was made obvious when in ONLY 20hrs of "combat" (not real combat, on the ground face to face) after ONLY 20hrs of "combat" he was shot down, not while doing any heroic act, but because he SUCKED AS A PILOT, you see in his feeble 20hrs of "combat" he ad also crashed 5 jets prior to being shot down.
He DID do over 30 propaganda films for the VC, so you're WAY off there. According to the 2 American commanders in the camp the same time as McCain, ther was NO torture, McCain was brought in in bandages and a body cast, which was more than any other prisoner was given. He received such treatment because the first thing the COWARD said when he was captured was "my daddy's an Admiral!"

He as turn his back on the nations POWs to whom he swore he would NEVER use his "POW" status for political gain...what was that tour he did just last summer?

He turned his back on our sons and daughters fighting now when he did not even have the courage to show up to vote AGAINST the new GI BILL which supports our troops fighting these wars, and their families, why does he hate our troops?

As for his kids "serving" their a$$es should be on the front lines until it's over and the last American is home, period, daddy wants our kids to die for OIL, his should be the first to go, anything less than that is just more political theatre. Yeah he had a son in Iraq, in the green zone, NEVER left the green zone, and was a clerk, ONLY, remember "CLINGER"...lol

He is NO HERO, NO MAVERICK, nothing but an old man clinging to false glory and Bush "values".

I think that about covers it. Doubt me google his millitary record son, you'll see what a real coward he truly is, and a liar, and anti-American troops, yet pro "WAR FOR OIL"...(McCains words on 05/03/08)

Hope that answers your asumptions, look it up, facts are there, you have to dig a little deeper than FOX NOISE.

  • Posted By: queenrosered @ 06/14/2008 10:51:53 AM

Wow....what a bunch of hyperbole I've read here.Bottom line? Obama will NOT win without Hillary. And he shouldn't.She has what it takes and Obama ignores her and her blue-collar, senior and women voters, at his own peril. If Hillary is not on the ticket, here are three Dems in this house that will not vote, period.Of course that's just the tip of the iceberg.I suppose it goes without saying(but I'll say it anyway) that these are some of the most perilous times, economically and internationally, in my lifetime. Clinton (Bill) whatever else you may think of him) cleaned up the first Bush White House mess and I know Hllary could have cleaned this idiot's ("Dub-Yah") mess too.We are going to be in even bigger trouble with on-the-job training with a candidate who really has litle to no record of acheivements and a very troubling personal view (despite what he is trying to forcefeed the masses!) of race in America. Michelle is a ticking time-bomb, believe it.God Luck America....you'll need it.

    • Posted By: HDavidson @ 06/14/2008 1:39:29 PM

"Michelle is a ticking timebomb"...? I have not heard her talk of "MASS RETALLIATION" on any country that attacks, not the US, but Israel, That was HillaBush. Obama has won everything in his life with out HillaBush, what makes you think that changes now? He'll throw her a bone, and she should greatfully take what ever is offered.
The only person you, HillaBush or any of her supporters should be "angry with is HillaBush, she did it to her self, by sounding like Bush, and even quoting Karl Rove, she destroyed her own chances, any mature adult should be able to see that, not FL, not MI, not Obama, Not the press. Take responsibility for your own actions, and accept the consequences, in this case DEFEAT.

  • Posted By: Slave of The Subduer @ 06/14/2008 10:56:34 AM

I don't know to much about Obama in general, though he is definitly smarter and more educated then McCain. I mean i read an article on MSN where McCain thought Al Qaidah was in Iran and Hiz ballah was in in Iraq, showing what a bright future the American people have if he wins the white house. Hilary would have probably won, but you know how emotional women can be.
I haven't had the time to read all of the vicious comments of this article but it would be nice to see a black president in a white house... oh that sounds good..."A BLACK PRESIDENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"Somin to giv ya okee dokes a headache"

So you say!!! Isn't that something like the Paratroopers shout when leaping from the plane into a firestorm of battle. Only in this case, into an uncertain future with a student driver at the wheel.

      • Posted By: HDavidson @ 06/14/2008 1:32:33 PM

Just a few things about your metaphor...There is no "wheel" in any aircraft delivering paratroopers, it's a stick...lol. Student drivers are arguably safer drivers the the ELDERLY, especially when the ELDERLY MCCAIN HAD CRASHED 5 JETS IN HIS 20HRS OF COMBAT BEFORE BEING SHOT DOWN...DOH!

The future is only "uncertian" for those who crave MORE WAR YEARS and MORE DEAD AMERICANS, as those days are coming to a swift close.

Don't make such a dispportionate amount of criticism of Hillary Clinton because of Bill Clinton's little hiadeous. How ,can you compare that to the millions of tax payer dollars spent by the Republican Congress trying to nail the Clinton's during there eight years in the White House Yes, compare the prosperity, peace and a balanced budget no other president has been able to do in U.S. history. You're truly ungreatful and like a pig that is known to eat its own excrement.
