Carly Fiorina offers me nothing as a voter. As an American who loves the Constitution, I know McCain won't protect it and restore the damage Bush has done to it. As a woman, I can't trust McCain to protect my rights. As an environmentalist, I saw McCain give a big pro-oil speech in Houston the other day. And Carly, I'm also very sorry I bought an HP piece of crap instead of a Dell. No thanks. Obama 08!

Its just sad. We have Hillary supporters for Mccain, blaming Obama for every negative thing said about Hillary. But they soon forgot , it was Hillary who threw the sink at Obama first. Now we have supporters from both sides who cant get over the their differences with their prefered nominee and tearing up the Democratic party.

We have Obama supporters booing Hillary when her name is mentioned , then we have hillary supporters booing Obama every time his name is mentioned. Instead of working with each others, we fight amongst our selves blaming so and such supporters for the problems we are having. They need to stop acting like children and start working with each other.
We at least know our views on polices are about the same , so why continue fighting? do you guys not see this is what Mccain and his party wants us to do. They know that hate that hillary and obama suportes have on each other will cloud our judgment. we need to stop this bickering and get over our differences. if you want change from what the Reps have done to the US for the last 8 years, then WAKE THE FXXK UP.

That is so true. The Repupublicans are counting on Hillary voters! They are fooling them and now are trying to fool them with the Carle Fiorina tactic. What they are assuming is that Hillary voters don't grasp the concept of issues because if they did, John McCain would be the last person they voted for because of his stance and voting record on the issues which are worlds apart from Hillary's. Now, using Carle Fiorina they figure...oh, Hillary voters will be fooled because Carle is a strong woman. Well, let's just remind them of the fact that Carle virtually ran HP into the ground, used spy tactics on her own employees and is RESPONSIBLE for the outsoucing of good American (high paying) HP jobs. That and McCains record of voting AGAINST womens issues (not pro choice) and those of poor children ought to have you convinced he's not for them! Let along the war he'll want with Iran and BAD flip flopping on every issue that confronts him.

i be mad if the democrats lose this the presidency, because of supporters from both sides fighting like children. i do not want another Bush type policy for another 4 years, *8 year is enough of this BS that we are now living in. Every day i read thse blogs and i still see us fighting against each other, even though our views are the same. but yet we still fight a pointless battle. any how it just sickens me that the important views are pushed to the side, and the non important views such as supporters of each side views on one another is more important, then change that the US needs.

I have to agree with Jimi James but I can not in all conscience vote for Obama either. Not at this time of war. This is a lose/lose situation and it is unfortunate that everyone tried to strong arm Hillary out from the get go (and that is what happened) because she is the only one qualified to run.

The War Secrets Sen. John McCain Hides
Former POW Fights Public Access to POW/MIA Files
    April 25, 2000
    By Sydney Schanberg

    PART 1 OF 2

NEW YORK (APBnews.com) -- The voters who were drawn to John S. McCain in his run for the Republican presidential nomination this year often cited, as the core of his appeal, his openness and blunt candor and willingness to admit past lapses and release documents that other senators often hold back. These qualities also seemed to endear McCain to the campaign press corps, many of whom wrote about how refreshing it was to travel on the McCain campaign bus, "The Straight Talk Express," and observe a maverick speaking his mind rather than a traditional candidate given to obfuscation and spin.

But there was one subject that was off-limits, a subject the Arizona senator almost never brings up and has never been open about -- his long-time opposition to releasing documents and information about American prisoners of war in Vietnam and the missing in action who have still not been accounted for. Since McCain himself, a downed Navy pilot, was a prisoner in Hanoi for 5 1/2 years, his staunch resistance to laying open the POW/MIA records has baffled colleagues and others who have followed his career. Critics say his anti-disclosure campaign, in close cooperation with the Pentagon and the intelligence community, has been successful. Literally thousands of documents that would otherwise have been declassified long ago have been legislated into secrecy.

      And the beat goes on...

""Perchance he for whom this bell tolls may be so ill, as that he knows not it tolls for him."...think on this Senator McCain.

    Dear Hillary,

Reasons abound why you should do all you can to defeat John McCain--but for you, it should be personal. Maybe you've forgotten in the heat of the Democratic contest. But remember McCain's cruel joke about your daughter, when Chelsea was 18 and vulnerable. This alone should give you every reason to stand against McCain--and nothing to boost his chances.

How soon people forget that it has been the Republican's who have been demonizing Hillary Clinton for years. The mere mention of her name could evoke a scowl from them, but NOW, since they have nothing and are desperate for every vote, they want to paint Hillary as some sort of warrior that has been wronged. Hillary voters "come over to our side where we can show you how beating up a Clinton is really done". Come On - do they think people are stupid.

???Tennessee Democratic Party Executive Committee member Fred Hobbs tells The City newspaper in Nashville, ???I don???t exactly approve of a lot of the things he stands for ??? and I???m not sure we know enough about him. He???s got some bad connections, and he may be terrorist connected for all I can tell. It sounds kind of like he may be.???

Hobbs was giving an interview to the paper about fellow Tennessee Congressman and Democratic superdelegate Lincoln Davis, who has not yet declared his support for Obama.

Reacting to Hobbs, Davis??? Chief of Staff Beecher Frasier says he does not know for sure if Obama is terrorist connected, but he assumes he is not.???

    • Posted By: HDavidson @ 06/18/2008 1:50:33 PM

Look we get it, you can't just openly say the "N" word and it's not cool to hate him for being black, plus you're just too chicken sh!t to admit anyway, So what you have done is, you found something that at least 28% of Americans will accept, you call him "Muslim", that is you're substitute word for the "N" word. With ALL of the FACTS showing EVERYBODY Obama is NOT "Muslim", after months of hearing about his 20yr involvement with a CHRISTIAN church and it's angry pastor, you 13% still hate him for being "Muslim" (we know why you really hate him).
Funny, but that's the only thing that makes sense, I mean do you still think the world is flat?

He is NOT muslim, he IS BLACK, and THAT is why you hate, no other reason.

As far as the "terrorist" connection, Ayers? lmao, was never convicted of ANYTHING, and the ones who were convicted were pardoned by....OMG! Bill Clinton...

So how ever you want to try and paint him, your (all of you) issue with Obama is not Muslim, terrorist, gay, what ever else you want to try to "cling" to...it's the he is BLACK and you can't admit that that is your reason, to me, that's REAL CHANGE because there was a time in this country when you would have just said it, you were the majority, now you are not, and you are too afraid to say it, and that makes you angry...you need a hug ;)

    ******** News Update! *******

    McCain calls for offshore drilling
In the race for the White House, Republican candidate John McCain supports ending the ban on offshore oil exploration and Democratic candidate Barack Obama opposes it.

Speaking in Houston on Tuesday, McCain called for lifting the federal moratorium on offshore exploration and production as part of a plan help curb U.S. dependence on foreign oil. The Arizona senator also has proposed temporarily lifting a tax on gasoline over the summer to give consumer a break from soaring fuel prices.

    My Comment:

Good for you Sen. McGame! America is finally taking some serious steps toward solving our fuel/gas problems! THANK YOU SIR for having the courage to standup to all the environmentalists political BS. Do what ya gotta do to get the ball rollin'! I'm sure it's not gonna solve all our problems regarding high fuel cost, but at least you're now making some command decisions! And that's what a real war hero does, BEAUTIFUL!!!

When the goin' gets tough ... the tough get goin'!!!!

Now, get to talking to Big Corp regarding part two of the play :

Good tax incentives and Gov. Subs for those willing to pour big $$$ into Green Technology.

    • Posted By: HDavidson @ 06/18/2008 1:28:44 PM

And as he struggles to seperates himslef from BUSH, BUSH comes out today and gives a speach calling for...OFF SHORE DRILLING...roflmao!

And are we SERIOUSLY going to revisit the "war hero" bullsh!t again? Ok!

      Here we go:

McCain is NOT a "war hero", he was a terrble student at the Naval college he attended, spent most of his time there drunk and soliciting prostitutes. His lack of DESIRE to truly be great became evident when he went to Viet Nam, NOT as foot soldier (TOO dangeroud for him), but as a sh!ty pilot, that is NOT an opinion, in the very limited 20hrs, yes ONLY 20hrs of flying and calling it "combat", McCain CRASHED 5 jets before being shot down, Now he was not shot down preforming any great deed, he was shot down because he SUCKED as a pilot. He ejected and landed in a lake (where the VC later erected a monument)
Upon he being captured, McCain IMMEDIATELY began to talk, first thing he said was "my daddy is an admiral!" knowing this would get him special treatment, and it did. He was taken to a hospital and treated for his injuries, given a cell with a nice cot and began producing PROPAGANDA FILMS for the VC, they called him "The Song Bird" (google it), because he just started talking, teling them what ever wanted to know. In addition, the 2 American Commanders who where in the camp the same time as McCain have stated that there was no torture of American soldiers and were suprised at McCain's medical attention when he arrived. Others were just thrown into the prison and the other Americans had to attend to their wounds.
Now in later years McCain would stand infront of American POWs and SWEAR he would NEVER use his status as a "POW" for political gain, he has since many times over broken that VOW, and betrayed our country's POWs.
He REFUSED to vote for "S.22" aka "The New Gi Bill", fearing it would give too much to veterans who have only served 3yrs, even though McCain only served 20hrs and has had everything handed to him. The bill also helps the families of our sons and daughters fighting these wars, and McCain and BUSH said NO...lol yeah what a hero McCain has proven to be...

Let's fore go the "hero" BS from now on mmmkay? ;)

Its really sound political manuvering. The enemy of my enemy is my friend; of course Obama and Clinton are not enemies, but its all about the perception of the voters. The person whose name i can use in an attempt to manipulate the voters is my friend, that seems to be the aim of the GOP at the moment.

The men and women who supported Hillary Clinton are not foolish enough to let you scare us into thinking that the Democrats are going to protect our rights as citizens. The DNC says they are for Democracy but they demonstrated something quite different in this election with their back room deals concerning the votes of Michigan and Florida. The DNC says they are for women's rights but they demonstrated something quite different in this Presidential primary campaign. There will be no going back to the deceptive and sexist DNC or there selected candidate. Never Obama!

Then keep your ass at home on election day so you don't f**k up the country for the rest of us. You've got no idea whats good for us, and you sure as hell aren't mature enough to make an educated decision for yourself. Hillary didn't win, it has nothing to do with the DNC being sexist, she just didn't win. I don't know what hole you've been living in, but the Republican party has done one hell of a number on our rights as citizens over the last eight. But then again, I understand the operation of the country doesn't quite fit into your little pity party.... sorry for the interruption... bring in the violins.

Carly Fiorina wouldn't give a rat's a** what McCain's stance is on Pro-choice. She's not having any babies.

  • Posted By: Mwalimu @ 06/16/2008 11:48:54 PM

Wowee Carly Fiorina for VP. When she was the CEO of Hewlitt Packard, the corporation tanked, but of course she got a multi-million dollar golden parachute. She also said that a job is no longer an American right. She of course favors McCain's vision of either outsourcing all American jobs overseas and/or importing "guest workers" for the remainder of American jobs, leaving many American workers jobless and penniless. Free trade, which McCain supports, really means free labor,. including slavery.

Of course, Fiorina is in good company. Bush's corporation, Harkens oil tanked, but Bush cashed out in advance and left his share holders holding the bag. When Dick Cheney was the CEO of Halliburton, it tanked too, albeit it has gotten a lot of money from war profiteering. If Fiorinna, Phil Gram, and Charlie Black, and other assorted crooks and lobbyists are McCain supporters - then we know what we need to do. Vote a straight Democratic ticket. All of McCain's straight talk is a lie. (If he really engaged in maverick straight talk, why doesn't he confront the NRA?) Elect McCain and we'll get a repeat of all the failures of the Bush Administration - only with global warming becoming more of reality, it will be worse- much worse.

If we always say we lost because we are not white or male or both - we will never make progress. Some will always judge persons - using the white male as the acceptable standard - but we must be prepared for this and strategize to overcome it. Only then, can we really feel free to stand on our own merits.

McCain's lack of candor on reproductive rights
On issues like abortion and sex education, the candidate is neither as moderate nor as principled as some might think.

LILLY LEDBETTER FAIR PAY ACT OF 2007--MOTION TO PROCEED--Resumed -- (Senate - April 23, 2008)

    BREAK IN TRANSCRIPT

Mr. OBAMA. Madam President, today too many women are still earning less than men for doing the same work, making it harder not just for those women but for the families they help support to make ends meet. It is harder for single moms to climb out of poverty, harder for elderly women to afford their retirement. That kind of pay discrimination is wrong and has no place in the United States of America.

This evening, we have a chance to do something about it. Passing this bill is an important step in closing the pay gap, something I helped to do in Illinois and something I have fought to do since I arrived in the Senate. I have cosponsored legislation to ensure women receive equal pay for equal work and to require employers to disclose their pay scales for various kinds of jobs. It is this information which will allow women to determine whether they are being discriminated against, information they often lack now.

In addition to passing this bill, we need to strengthen enforcement of existing laws. In the end, closing the pay gap is essential, but it is not going to be enough to make sure that women and girls have an equal shot at the American dream, which is why we are also going to have to work on issues such as sick leave and prohibiting discrimination against caregivers. If you work hard and do a good job, you should be rewarded, no matter what you look like, where you come from, or what gender you are. That is what this bill is about. That is why I am supporting this legislation and urge my colleagues to do the same.

    I yield the floor.

    http://thomas.loc.gov/

This is how much Obama is promoting sexism. Hillary lovers, you guys say that Obama is not for women? Please read.
