    You are not the only person that wanted to work in the Obama cabinet poca55. I read an article on this site and on CNN that showed hundreds of thousands of people apply to work for Obama. Why wouldn't you want to work for the guy he is the new face of change. Even with some of bumps he has been taking from the GOP on his new stimulus bill he seems like he would be a great boss. Obama has come under some flack as of late do to some of his party members not paying there tax's maybe these guys should have taken out an <a title="Get your Easy Payday Loan Now!" href="http://easypaydayloanslive.com">easy payday loan</a> It will be interesting to see what happens in the coming years but hopefully the country moves in the right direction.

    KOOL-AID??????..From the kitchen of the obama sheeple!! take one heaping spoonful of an inexperienced elitist white male seeking self validation through exploitation of his african-american genetics. Combine two parts black liberation theology clerics spewing intolerance! With two parts of unrepentant intellectuals committed to the destruction of America. Stir in one cup of militant black wife harboring the overwhelming desire to stick it to whitey and one spoonful of typical white person grandmother mix well. Pour a gallon of anti-patriotism into tall glasses and sprinkle with naïve foreign policy ideations. Serve on a platter of meaningless oratorical hyperbole with a generous dollop of wealth re-distribution. Sprinkle liberally with zest of white guilt flip it and flop it till it tastes right. Serve large portions to the undiscerning and spellbound masses convinced that the Second Coming is upon America and now you have a complete recipe for disaster!

    I love you bible people. If God was going to come down and punish us he would have done it moments after George Bush had been sworn into office. If anything.     If Obama is trying to reach out to Clinton supporters, maybe Kerry as VP isn't a great idea. Kerry voted for Obama as a SD, even though Clinton won Mass. Way to represent your voters, Kerry.

      Superdelegates do not have to vote the same way a majority of the primary voters in their party vote, otherwise there would be no need for them.

        There will be no such thing as superdelegates in the 2012 election. If there are, Obamas push for change which is needed with the democratic process will be gone. I was disgusted with Kerry voting the way he did when MA overwhelming voted for Hillary. I wouldnt vote for Obama if he was on the ticket. But then, I dont think it will happen anyways. Webb is a good choice, but he might outshine Obama.

    Yeah like Kerry McCain's file is sealed, though he did that in the last year. What is he hiding, why is McCain acting like John Kerry? Is it a "John" thing? Why are McCains files sealed? Is he hiding that fact the he did 32 propaganda films for the VC, or the fact that the VC code name for McCain was "Song Bird" because as soon as they captured him, after ONLY 20hrs of combat, he sang like a bird and cooperated and cried out my daddy is an Admiral, is it that fact the other Aemricans held in the same camp at the same time as McCain say there was NO TORTURE?
    Could it be any of those FACTS that caused him to seal the records? So while we wait for John Kerry's files to be opened, we should ask for Mccains too, don't ya think?

      I am not a Republican but what you are saying is totally uncalled for. If you haven't spent a minute in a torture chamber you have no business judging whether McCain talked or not, or what his experience was. In case you don;t know, McCain was offered freedom by the Vietcong when his father, an admiral was dying and McCain refused because other POWs with less influential families were not given that option.

      McCain may have turned into a weasel, opportunist and a downright idiot, but don't you dare question that man's service.

        Cazadora, McCain himself admitted that he collaborated with the enemy, HDavidson did not make it up. Read McCain's autobiography, where he discusses not only the treason, but the guilt and shame he felt for years afterwards.

        I do think that HDavidson's saying that McCain was not tortured is not a righteous thing to say. It is true that two other officers at the "Hanoi Hilton" with McCain said that they were not tortured and that they saw no instances where McCain was tortured, but that does not mean McCain was not tortured, it just means that they did not witness it.

        It is true that McCain refused the Vietcong offer to allow him to return home before the war was over. Perhaps he was motivated by the fact that he could not accept it because others would be left behind. However, it is also true that the soldiers who accepted the early return were all stripped of thier rank upon return to the US and dishonorably discharged, because that group of early returns had all collaborated with the enemy. McCain stuck it out until the other non-collaborator POWs were returned, and when he finally came back he was not dishonorably discharged. So there may have been an ulterior motive in that decision not to return early, as well as the altruistic motive you mention.

        Notice that I say "MAY have been an ulterior motive." The fact is, none of us know what really happened. John McCain knows, but he isn't telling, and he is not releasing his military records, which in itself looks suspicious.

        Well for your benefit I have just posted a little bit of me above. McCain and I have something in common, NIETHER ONE OF US HAS EVER BEEN TORTURED! I did not "question" it, I pointed out what has been documented about that "story" McCain keeps telling. As I have said doubt me, google it, the truth is out there, now for SOME reason you can't see his file, which makes all things absolutely clear, but the is enough eye witness account of what TRULY happened to McCryBaby, that when you take all in to consideration, the accounts of witnesses, the doubt that has been cast over na d over, and the fact that 1 person tells a different story and to back it up he had his records...shown?....nope!...SEALED.
        Yeeeeaaaaaahhh! Hero, nah, survivor, sure. Coward?...Absolutely.
        I do DARE question, doubt, not belive, "theat man's serivce" to be a matter of truth of fact as much as fabrication.
        I'm not judging, that's a "Christian" thing.

      If you ever get the opportunity, sit down and talk to one of the POWs who spent time in the Hanoi Hilton. I was in the Army during and after Vietnam and some of my leaders were WWII, Korean and Vietnam POWs and they were the finest men with whom I served. To a man - all of them had a different perpsective on life after they were rescued or released and they were an inspiration to us. One thing no one ever talks about is how many of them died in captivity. In the early 1970's, the Joint Casualty Resolution Center flew another C-141 to Hanoi after the POWs were released to bring back many many remains of the POWs who couldn't manage the day to day existence, disease, and bad treatment and perished in the North Vietnamese prison and were buried in simple graves behind the prison. How could you possibly repeat something as accusatorial and unfounded about this man unless you knew it as an absolute fact? How do you think you would have done?

        I have an uncle who is a POW sir. And the statements made are based on the eyewitness accounts of 2 American commanders that were in the same camp as McCain at the same time, NO TORTURE, and he was a song bird. The Man (used loosely) was and is a COWARD! I have no respect for him, his sons or the fained attempt at service. If he was a real "soldier" he would have been a foot soldier, not a kid burning ants with a magnifying glass. He was a terrible pilot and it cost him, that is all, NO HERO, just a sorry pilot who got dropped, and as soonas he was recovered, he cried "Admiral". He has sealed his records for GOOD reason. Kerry had nothing to hide and look at what "swift boating" did to him, McCain has, not a closet, but a warehouse full of skeletons and he knows it. Sir if you look you will find the truth about a man (lol) calling himself a "hero". It is an insult to people who actually did commit heroic acts, and selfless deeds.
        My entire family, for generations has served this country, in every war we've ever fought, I do not come from a mere liberal "I HATE WAR" background, My son is still in Iraq fighting McBush's "WAR FOR OIL" while McCain's son has been and is home.
        Hope that clears some of your concerns ;)

          Hi HD, my dad did two tours in vietnam. My uncle was a POW for a year and is still suffering from nightmares. God Bless all of them even McCain. Though I do not agree with any of his policies and believe him to be a morally corrupt human being, my personal opinon, I would not wish that type of existence on anyone, friend or enemy.

          I agree with you, HD. I come from a Navy family, and the fact that McCain graduated 894th out of a class of 899 cadets has always been a laughingstock among Navy insiders, where class rank controls your entire career. He flunked out of Annapoiis, and even with the Admirals in his family, he would have never been accepted as an officer if it hadn't been war time. We desperately needed warm bodies, so we took his sorry butt to Vietnam, and the rest is history.

          The men in my family have also fought for the USA WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam and Iraq, all of them Navy. My brother spent six years in Vietnam. I know what POW trauma looks and acts like. I honor the US military. But anyone who looks at McCain's service record has to admit that he is no war hero, even though his years as a POW are tragic. McCain himself wrote in his autobiography that he collaborated with the enemy. Collaborating with the enemy is TREASON. I don't hold this against him personally, Lord knows what any of us would do while under torture. I can forgive McCain on a personal level, but I can not vote for a President who committed treason.

    Kerry is a Decorated Vietnam War Veteran, and a Documented Traitor. He has still not released his form 180 which would make his military records public. Why? because his records would reveal his dishonorable discharge, upgraded during the Carter Administration to leave no traitor behind.       You might want to show a little respect to those, like Gore and Kerry, who actually VOLUNTEERED to serve so people like you can run their uninformed mouths.

    Who really cares about this election any more? Now that BOTH parties have successfully nominated the WORST possible candidates, we can all sit back and enjoy the ride into socialism / liberalism / communism / progressivism. I sooo look forward to the soup lines. I can hardly wait.

    It would be nice if one of these clowns would actually look at the cause of our problems before plastering billion dollar government sponsored band aids on the situation. Everything these jokers come up with is certain to send us that much closer to government sponsored bankruptcy.

    This nation used to be great when it was the land of opportunity--both to succeed and to fail. The direction it is headed is to mediocrity, because we seem to want to have the opportunity to succeed, but be shielded from the opportunity to fail. Unfortunately, the laws of economics do not allow such a separation. The more you limit the opportunity for failure, the opportunity for success is also limited (all the higher tax talk on the upper class is evidence of this.) Limiting the opportunity for success ultimately leads to a lack of motivation for innovation, which is what made our nation great, and will make us a nation of lemmings who just want to go to our jobs, feeling entitled to be taken care of by the government.

    Wake up people, Government solutions are not solutions. It's up to us as citizens to show what we are made of. Electing some joker who is full of empty promises and wrong solutions is not the answer. Until we start teaching our children personal responsibility, our country will continue to deteriorate.

    All you people who falsely blame President Bush for our current economic troubles are sooo misguided, it's not even funny. Has he screwed up in many many ways? Absolutely. Has this Democratic run congress screwed up in just as many ways? Absolutely. Some day, maybe people will realize that the strength of our country lies in the strength of the people--not the government. Until we do, we are on a slippery slope.

Absolutely" The Democrats didn't take control of Congress until January 2007. Until then it was a Republican monopoly, so to say that they have screwed up just as much is a little specious. Speaking of which, it was the Republicans who got us into our current mass amount of debt by ridiculous spending. It does appear that the democrats are going to put us into more debt. No one cares about fiscal responsibility any more.

This is my basic platform: build de-salinization plants, mostly around L.A. so we can keep OUR water in N. Cal., NO MORE SWEETS on lunch trays in Public Schools, longer sentences for convicted child molesters, rapists and drunk drivers, lesser sentences for bad check bouncers; a swifter legal system to facilitate the sentencing procedure. More money for schools, music programs, teachers, medical clinics and food banks; less money for professional basketball, football and baseball players and Oil empires. A Jambalaya Shack in every town with a FREE bowlful to everyone on Wednesdays and Saturdays courtesy of " your White
    House," AND free micro-chip removal for everyone who voted this last administration in.

    No senator wants to lower themselves into the position of Secretary of State, with the possible exception of Sen. Larry Craig. Kerry, Biden and Dodd will not give up their influence in the Senate to run errands on behalf of President Obama. The momentary prestige just doesn't justify the long term risk. Better to stay put and react than to be the one causing the reaction. Senators are way too comfy to want to be exposed as foolish, subservient or stupid. Mr. Obama has to go as far away as possible from the Senate to find the right person. How about a military man or a woman? Oh, thats right, Bush already did that and the results were not exactly desirable.

    what I'm wondering is if Obama does win the Presidency how much does it help him to pull all this democratic talent from the Senate? I mean supposing he taps Hillary for Veep or Secretary of Health and Human services, or Dodd/Kerry/Biden for state that would take 3 Democratic Senators out of the Senate, who fills those posts? Does the state Governor pick a replacement, in that case Kerry would be a safe bet because Obama is tight with Governor Patrick
