I think it was the high-tech so they should do it with no high-tech then see who's faster.
I think that it is wried how the older people can go faster and iam all slow like a lil turtle because i dont got a swim suit like that is that why i dont go fast in the pool cause i dont got a speedo well i guess i aint gonna be goin fast cause yall i aint bout to buy me a speedo just to go swimmin oo no no yall must be tripin o yall got some jokes cause i aint buyin me no speedo just to swim fast ha lol yall got me laughin! Just cause they swim faster dont mean that i wanna buy a SPEEDO EWWW! I think that it should not be allowed in the olymipics if it makes u go faster
well with this high tech stuff now days they can do anything and change the times and end up being super fast and in a long time from now they will get faster not slower so it is good i am all fore these suit but they should make full body suits arms and legs and the rest so they can go even faster!
AYE BAY BAY THiS YOUR GiRL MYRiYONBOO..
YEAH i THiNK THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO USE THERE SWiMMiNG SUiT iN THE OLMPiCS BECAUSE iTS NOT HARMiNG THEM OR ANYBODY ESLE.. SPEEDO'S ARE iMPORTANT..
I don't think its fair because some swimmers stroke really slow so the suit won't make them go as fast as the others.
i think people should wear speedo's because they make them faster in the water
AYE! DIS YOUR GURL KEISHA!!
I THINK THAT IF THE SPEEDO'S HELP THE SWIMMER SWIM FASTER TO WIN THE RACE AND I THINK THAT IT SHOULD BE FINE TO WEAR THOSE OIF THEY WANNA WIN BUT I HONESTLY THINK THOSE THINGS ARE NOT CUTE BUT IT IS HELPING THEM REACH THERE GOAL TO BE IN THE OLIMPC!!!!
/Durp...has anyone LOOKED at Phelps lately. He is simply a great athelete, he could beat everyone in the pool if he wsa wearing my bating suit., Sure would be ugly, though. Accck.
If this is technological doping, than I am Ootant
then look at running shoes... they correct pronation, supination, and obsorb shock- allowoing many runners to compete that would otherwise be able to... and Nike, and Mizuno, and Brooks are constantly making innovations to allow for better support, lighter weight, better traction, stabilization etc... yet no one wants the the marathon to be run bare foot.
then look at running shoes that correct all sorts of imbalances in the foot which make supination and pronation problems things of the past... distance runners used to have to have even more genetic predisposition to the sport in order to withstand the joint pounding... with shoes from nike, brooks, and other which stabilize the foot and absorb shock, people who would not otherwise be competitive are... I don't hear anyone demanind the marathon be run barefoot.
If there is an Olympic competition for computing or 100 meter calculating then I'll join you under the torch in celebration. Just use analogies that apply to make your point please.
We EVOLVE and part of it is technology. Let's not be hypocrites StarFish666, if that's the case then let's not use calculator's nor computer's, get back to doing everything by hand, Good for sports, good for fans, good for television and good for all athletes.
While I love the tech world, the suit seems to distort the standard in which all records were set. Body types, physique, and pure human power should be the judge. Not a suit that can make up time for inadequacies among athletes.

Here we go again with the ahtlete is the reason if the product will do the job thing?
Creams ,water suits and any other crap you drink, eat, rub or fit into that helps you shave off or out hit others seems a little unfair hhhhmmmmm. Take a page from Bonds is it worth the hype NO!
the suit doesn't swim the time, the swimmer does. they all worked extremely hard to get to this point. the suit just helps out a little. and its looks pretty sweet on them. oh but there is no flipturn on a 100 fly. smart one there.
If the suit fits...wear it! The whole idea is to gain an edge on your competitor. If the swimsuit is the "edge" then I say wear it! Do we really want to stop technology from advancing the human race; which includes the sports race? I don't think so.
If it's not about the suit, then they should have rules saying all contestants should have to wear the same type of swimsuit. There must be a competitive advantage or so many of the athletes wouldn't be using them.
Technology has ruined a lot of sports. Tennis is among them. What used to be a game of grace and finesse is now all about power. Long rallies have been replaced with short 100-MPH plus bursts that aren't very fun to watch. The new technology rackets are to blame. Golf is right behind with its giant drivers and exotic materials. If we care about athletics, then we should let the athletes decide the contests, not R&D labs.
