This poll is just the liberal media hyping up an unqualified candidate. They don't publish headline stories about the more realistic polls which prove that the two candidate are still very close. Stories like these are to be expected though as, just turn on CNN, all you hear about is Obama, Obama, Obama....oh and John McCain visited Florida today....when we get from the commercial break, some more news on Obama...I tttknow that the majority of the media is liberally skewed but it seems to be especially bad this election, its almost too obvious. I'm a moderate, tend to vote both ways, and as a 20 year old I can honestly say that I will be "in the minority of people my age" this election, according to this article, and will not be voting for the prestigious invincible superhero named Barack Obama. I wish there was a decent 3rd party candidate running.

I know, I thought there were laws against such bias in the media. Sometimes on CNN, Newsweek, and MSNBC, I'll see about 8-10 Obama articles for every 1-2 McCain articles. Even when Obama does nothing, it's suddenly a story. Now on CNN: Obama rides a bike! Later: Obama's reaction to the story of him riding a bike: "Sorry I look like Urkel!" -Obama

      It's just craziness.

    wardell_gillespie,

I appreciate that you, as a black man, are willing to vote for who is best for the country, regardless of his race.

I can assure you that I, as a white man, would not hesitate to vote for a black man if he held to what I consider to be a patriotic ideology and had vision. I voted for a conservative black man for governor of my state; I would not hesitate to vote for a conservative, level-headed, patriotic, visionary black man for president.

Barack, however, is an extreme leftist whose vision is a Marxist and totalitarian government; he is an obvious racist which can be seen in his 20-year relationship with the anti-white, anti-Semitic (not to mention anti-American) Jeremiah Wright, and also judging from some passages in his own book (for instance, he is too obviously overeager to peg white acquaintances and relatives as "racists" when one can see by reading into his own account that branding them thus takes quite a leap of logic -- and this desire to castigate whites is a sure sign of inherent racism and intolerance); Barack is pro-partial-birth abortion, Barack is radically opposed to the right of the American people arm themselves, and even voted against the DeMar Self-defense Bill, an Illinois bill inspired by a man who defended his home against an intruder and had legal troubles (the bill passed with a massive majority buy Obama, who is unequivocally against ANY American arming themselves under ANY circumstances, voted with the ultra-liberal leftist minority); he is a liar, as evidenced by his recent flip=flop on the public funding issue; he is a whiny and narcissistic egomaniac who has the unforgivable gall to insinuate that he and his loudmouth wife are beyond scrutiny and reproach; he is totally inexperienced, and indeed has gotten bored with being a US Senator before even completing one single term; he is clueless on the issues, as evidenced on numerous occasions including his pathetic discourse on the Capital Gains Tax and hedge-fund managers ... and the list goes on and on.

As a conservative, I am disappointed in McCain as the Republican nominee. But he does have some credentials and he can say he "loves his country" without having people gaping in disbelief.

I hop I have assuaged any concerns that conservatives such as myself are not "in Barack's corner" due to race issues. Of course, there are still those liberals out there who, after reading some of my points, but unable to formulate any substantive response, will simply insist that anybody who's anti-Obama is a racist. This is sad, and I guess it cannot be helped; and, it seems to be the tone adopted by the majority of vocal Obama supporters. What can you do?

Newsweek is taking a dump on the careful polling of other organizations.

Seriously, the biggest margin of the last month of serious polling organizations was like 7. Now it's down to four. Then suddenly Newsweek with delusions of relevance comes and drops its load all over the indexes.

    • Posted By: notroubleatall1963 @ 06/20/2008 11:04:25 PM

Newsweek is rather centrist - they're not too liberal nor too conservative. Where are you getting this view and what are you basing it on?

Are you that desperate to champion another moron for four more years of prolonged decline?

McCain will win the presidency if Obama is the presidential candidate against him. Count on it. I for one will be voting for McCain given that situation along with many other "Sensible Americans". Colon Powell for the presidency would be awesome, but NOT Obama. It has to do with the person and his or her credibility, wisdom along with Knowledge. I don't want a preschooler in politics for the presidency.

    • Posted By: Ke1th @ 06/21/2008 1:10:43 AM

Ummm, wasn't (I mean Isn't) Bush a rookie. It's obvious that you and so many others on this board are clueless in regards to politics. The governor of Texas is just a figurehead, the legislature runs the show. If you don't agree with Obama's plitics and/or vision that's fine, but PLEASE pick up a book, go to the library, turn off Fox news and get some knowledge in order to debate with some intelligence.

    • Posted By: wardell_gillespie @ 06/21/2008 12:22:49 AM

Please remember that George Washington was a "rookie" too. Not to put Obama in the same category but any new concept of government has to begin with someone. As long as that person believes in the greatness of the people he or she is leading, the rest as they say "will be history".
This can also be said of John McCain if he is able to shake off his excess baggage.

    • Posted By: AmeriKhan Lobo @ 06/20/2008 11:57:28 PM

Colin Powell? You obviously want another Bush "yes-man". Your next remark will probably be that you think Condoleeza RIce should be the first woman President. It's obvious you've been fooled by some of the biggest liars and Bush backers in politics. Another sheep being led to slaughter.

    • Posted By: notroubleatall1963 @ 06/20/2008 11:50:48 PM

No, you want the GOP boy in office, anything but the Democrat. Let's face it: You are right-wing, I'm a leftist. You say poh-tay-toe, I say "poh-tah-toe" - You say tomaytoe, I say Toh-mah-toe...

Yeehah, I'm so glad you'll be voting for McCain't - you'll be one of the losers. The Right Wing is doomed to extinction - the world is moving in a different, more intelligent, more caring and helpful direction.

      Bush and co are Nazis.

  • Posted By: RightHook @ 06/20/2008 11:57:34 PM

You poor suckers going into ecstasies over how Obama is gonna win, will you never learn? Haven't you gotten wise about anything? Don't you know by now, that polls from liberal news organizations are always heavily skewed toward their darling, and that polls in general often are way off. Didn't you gather anything from the recent 2004 election, where Kerry had it "in the bag" in the days leading up, and even the "exit polls" had Kerry leading?

Do you really, honestly think that Obama is going to win states like Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, or even Michigan? Not to mention ALL of the south and ALL of the western states except those on the Pacific coast.

Do you honestly think all the spurned and seething Hillary supporters are going to climb aboard as one?

Do you honestly thing all those white blue-collar Democrats are going to forget Barack's racist connections?

Do you honestly think his pro-partial-birth-abortion stance and his radical gun-ban positions are going to hold up under scrutiny and play well in Middla America?

Barack Hussein Obama can only win California once. Ditto Oregon, Washington, Minnesota, and a handful of others on the East coast. Most of the rest of the states are going to be way out of reach.

The campaign is just kicking off, and already Obama's got so much negative baggage he is beginning to go into self-imposed isolation.

But Newsweek will have you believe he's got it wrapped up. Wink-wink-nudge-nudge.

    • Posted By: notroubleatall1963 @ 06/21/2008 12:02:40 AM

OMG, aren't you boring yourself to death yet like you're boring us all with this right-wing crap? It's so Yesterday.

Get over it and try to understand other's viewpoints - yours is definitely in the minority - how's that feel for a change?

    I don't believe it.
I hope after this election, some enterprising reporter/news organization does an expose' on various polling firms. They are deliberately misleading and misinforming the American public.

NewsWeek can not be trusted. They are a liberal rag and incapable of proving unbiased reporting. Obama is a muslim and not trusted by the vast majority of American's and yet we never hear about that issue.
The only person who can save America from the socialist democrats is McCain. God help this country if Obama is elected. It's the end of America.

    • Posted By: ladeyday @ 06/21/2008 12:50:31 AM

If he WAS a Muslim, what would be wrong with that? There are no religious requirements for president

    • Posted By: notroubleatall1963 @ 06/20/2008 7:36:37 PM

Funny, the USA is the ONLY country in the world with any confidence in McCain't - the rest of the world thinks he's going to be smashed by Obama in the general election, and that goes for the owner of the Wall Street Journal, Rupert Murdoch, who is an Australian.

Nobody in the world wants to see America controlled again by a benign dictatorship - the Republican Right is losing ground, and the new innovative Political movement headed by Obama is gaining ground. It's time to move a little to the Left - to get just tad bid socialist (for Health Care, e.g.) and take CARE of our fellow Americans who can't take care of themselves. They're not all scamming the system, like the Republicans like to believe - it's the REPUBLICANS WHO ARE SCAMMING OUR SYSTEM AND RUNNING OUR COUNTRY TO THE GROUND.

George Bush Jr. was EGGED at his inauguration. That says it all. I am calling for a peaceful coup d'etat so Dems can regain control of the House, the Senate and the Presidency so we can actually achieve something and restore hope across the board, not just for the rich and "retarded" reactionaries.

This type of comment is why I am scared for our country. Look how ignorant it is. Ignorance 101. A troll trying to gain reaction.

It is this type of thing, and I have said this before, that makes me think we need a voter IQ test before someone should be allowed to cast a ballot.

      • Posted By: Demonrat Hater @ 06/20/2008 7:33:09 PM

        PLEASESAVEAMERICA,

        • Posted By: PleaseSaveAmerica @ 06/20/2008 7:35:23 PM

Because I don't just say blatant ignorant statements like "Obama is a muslim". That is not an opinion, but factually wrong and ingorant. That's why!

  • Posted By: AmeriKhan Lobo @ 06/21/2008 12:49:13 AM

That means that we are all in the same bind as most Americans. Whether to vote for policies that do not work or for ones we are unsure of. I believe the rock and a hard place statement applies here. Th e only thing I have to help erase this doom and gloom scenario is a belief in the American People. I and so many others have literally "Bet our lives" on them.

McCain will lose the election because of the failed Irag policy. His call for offshore drilling is a knee jerk reaction to $5 gas which is slamming the average consumer. Where were the Republicans the last 8 years in terms of getting the US off the Middle East oil addiction. Obama will not solve any problems..... he is naive and inexperienced....this country is toast!

The facts are. "GULLIBLE AMERICANS" need to realize 2+2=4. The anger and hate in Jeremiah Wright's sermons are reminiscent of Farrakhan's. They don't wear a smiling mask. Obama does. Be proud of what you are Obama if you have nothing to hide. "Take off your mask" Obama has had about a year or more in the senate and attended about a hundred congressional meetings voting present rather than voting for or against any of the issues being voted on. I want somebody whose been in the White House and has experienced credibility in doing so. Obama is a preschooler in politics for the presidency. He "Knows Nothing" about running a country, and "Knows Nothing" about the other worlds leaders, he's never met with them, he only knows just about what you know "NOTHING" So why don't you run for President? Oh I see on the job training is the way you "GULLIBLE AMERICANS" want for Obama. BOOM! "OMG Call my advisors" BOOM>BOOM>BOOM!

    • Posted By: wardell_gillespie @ 06/21/2008 12:42:58 AM

I take it that you are so much more well informed about the true Sen Obama than the people who have and will continue to vote for him? should I trust you implicitly and rush to vote "AGAINST: Sen Obama? No offense, but what I would really like is information that will help me make a decision and not the Bogey man tacktics that made me pull the wrong lever in the last election. We have two great Americans running for this post and it would be nice for the American people to rise above the dirty to their levels. Sure they have hired guns to do the dirty work for them, but if we as a people want better, we have to do better ourselves.

We can't possibly do any worse than we've done these last eight years. My goodness, you are so scared that things could actually be better - why??? How can you be so convinced Obama will fail?? It's beyond reason....Take a risk - a calculated, intelligent risk - and give the man the confidence that the rest of the world's leaders give him.
