    Obama does have any supporters, he has irrational zealots. Only fool would say experience does matter. If does matter, lets elect by barber Vince President, he's handsome, well spoken man
    If Obama had even one term ( that's six years in US Senate) of national experience with real accomplishments or better yet had been a successful mayor of large city or governor, then I would gladly give some respect, even though I would disagree with him politically. But sorry to tell you Obama kids, there is no Santa Claus. Your messiah, Barry O is just regular guy thats clean cut, well-spoken with a low IQ. But thats not the bad thing, the real problem is that he does not even like this country.

      His "low I.Q." got him through Harvard without the tutors that Bush needed, and he didn't come out at the bottom of his class, like McCaint. Why would anyone who "doesn't like this country" ever want to preside over it? It's not like it's a totalitarian regime where he can exact the revenge of his wrath and hate for the land over the citizens with unilateral laws meant to punish them. It's a DEMOCRACY with checks and balances, laws passed by Congress. It would seem that the one with the low I.Q. is perhaps the poster jaxa.

        Actually, Obama has MORE legislative experience than HRC. My wife of 15 years would not be the one you want to teach nuclear operators (which I do) just because she was married to me like you cannot count HRC's 1st lady experience.

        Now our greatest presidents have had the least experience (Lincoln) and our MOST experienced have been the worst (until Bush II).

      I am far from an Obama fanatic...but when I see a posting like yours, I have to ask you the following questions...are you better off then you were eight years ago? Do you like the quagmire we are in? Do you like seeing our gov't 9.5 trillion in debt and growing? Do you like the present status of the economy? Do you like seeing 30 billion dollars a month supporting our quagmire? Are you affected by 4.50 gallon gas prices? Or just maybe you are in the top 3% of the wealth and couldn't care less about how the middle class is being squeezed...I would rather take a risk on change, than keep another four years of our current policies....

    I am not sure where you are getting your poll numbers, but although people are dissatisfied with Bush that does not translate into votes for Obama. I know the Obamites are still bashing Hiallary adn have added Mccain to their insults on the blogs, Hillary supporters are still staying close to her side. The fact that she will campaign with Obama disturbes us but she is a loyal democrat. The of us who were lifelong democrats and have been thrown aside by the party are standing on our principles or have left the party for good, so I cannot believe that Hillary's 18 million supporters on included in these polls.

    It seems that Barack Obama is not qualified to be president after all
    for the following reason:
    Barack Obama is not legally a U.S. natural-born citizen according to
    the law on the books at the time of his birth, which falls between
    'December 24, 1952 to November 13, 1986? Presidential office requires a
    natural-born citizen if the child was not born to two U.S. citizen
    parents, which of course is what exempts John McCain though he was born
    in the Panama Canal . US Law very clearly stipulates: '.If only one
    parent was a U.S. citizen at the time of your birth, that parent must
    have resided in the United States for at least ten years, at least five
    of which had to be after the age of 16.' Barack Obama's father was not
    a U.S. citizen and Obama's mother was only 18 when Obama was born,
    which means though she had been a U.S. citizen for 10 years, (or
    citizen perhaps because of Hawaii being a territory) the mother fails
    the test for being so for at least 5 years **prior to** Barack Obama's
    birth, but *after* age 16. It doesn't matter *after*. In essence, she
    was not old enough to qualify her son for automatic U.S. citizenship.
    At most, there were only 2 years elapsed since his mother turned 16 at
    the time of Barack Obama's birth when she was 18 in Hawaii. His mother
    would have needed to have been 16+5= 21 years old, at the time of
    Barack Obama's birth for him to have been a natural-born citizen. As
    aforementioned, she was a young college student at the time and was
    not. Barack Obama was already 3 years old at that time his mother would
    have needed to have waited to have him as the only U.S. Citizen parent.
    Obama instead should have been naturalized, but even then, that would
    still disqualify him from holding the office.
    *** Naturalized citizens are ineligible to hold the office of President. *** Though
    Barack Obama was sent back to Hawaii at age 10, all
    the other info does not matter because his mother is the one who needed
    to have been a U.S. citizen for 10 years prior to his birth on August
    4, 1961, with 5 of those years being after age 16. Further, Obama may
    have had to have remained in the country for some time to protect any
    citizenship he would have had, rather than living in Indonesia. Now you
    can see why Obama's aides stopped his speech about how we technically
    have more than 50 states, because it would have led to this discovery.
    This is very clear cut and a blaring violation of U.S. election law. I
    think the Gov. of California would be very interested in knowing this
    if Obama were elected President without being a natural-born U.S.
    citizen, and it would set precedence. Stay tuned to your TV sets
    because I suspect some of this information will be leaking through over

      If you haven't read it you might want to read the post by Thomas Sowell of Stanford University.
      According to his post Obama is not eligible for POTUS due to the type of citizenship he has.

        This is not true. Obama was born in Hawaii, a state of the U.S. and is therefore an American citizen by birth.

        Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1961. Hawaii was inducted into the Union in 1959. He is a natural born citizen by the legal principle of jus soli. (Citizenship by 'right of the soil')

    People do not know Barack Obama. This guy is so far to the left that he voted against a bill that would have protected a baby born alive during an abortion. He is rated as the most liberal in the Senate. His associations are with radical left types. He has accomplished nothing as a Senator. He has shown no leadership traits except to campaign for the presidency. His leanings are to a socialist government just like other Democrats like Maxine Waters who wants to nationalize the oil industry.

    What we have here is a news media that is infatuated with Obama, with no critical coverage of him, resulting in a public that is ignorant of his qualifications and his voting history. Imagine if a white conservative with the same weak record of leadership and experience was campaigning for the presidency. If the inexperienced white conservative was leading in the polls, the same Obama infatuated news media would be calling the public misinformed and making it their mission to inform them of his weak record.

      It was a bill that "protected" babies born during an abortion in the first 26 of a pregnancy. It has been proven that these babies cannot survive at such a young age. The Bill was a republican stunt to get democrats on record as opposing it. Obama actually voted "present" on this vote, so he did not vote against it. His leaning are not socialistic. No one wants to nationalize the oil industries.

        And voting "present" is the same as voting no. Only "yes" votes counted. He tried to duck out of the vote, which passed on the Federal level already by Clinton, Kerry, et all. So he's even more liberal than they are. He heard in hearings testimony from nurses who watched babies being thrown in trash cans while they were still alive, and he still squashed the bill.

        And he's said he wants sign the Freedom of Choice Act and lift the ban on partial-birth abortion, which basically is a baby being born, then having it's skull crushed to kill it. It's a horrible procedure, but Obama thinks of it as a medical procedure.

    Ahhh, a NEWSWEEK poll -- now THERE is a credible poll!

    Of COURSE Newsweek's poll shows Obama ahead. If they thought they could get away with it, they would have "figured" a way to have him "poll" with a 50 percent lead.

    That's what "news" organizations like Newsweek and the New York Times do: they rig the polls to favor their Democrat "darling" and try to stir up feelings of excitement and joy among the wacko left-wingers that are supposedly the Democrat "base." These liberal media outlets--and the Democrat Party--continue to labor under the misapprehension that pandering to radical leftists and nominating extreme liberal candidates will win them a general election for the Presidency.

    There's a running joke that magazines like Newsweek and newspapers like the NYT run their "polls" by going into their newsroom and getting their "sample" from the "journalists" there. If I remember correctly, John Kerry had a decisive lead over Bush in most of the "polls" the day before the 2004 election. The reality was a whole different story.

    In this case, the reality is that it will be surprising if Obama manages to collect even around 200 electoral votes.

    This is June, not November. Sooo much will happen between now and then. Soo many Clinton Democrats are going to vote Republican. Soo many Republicans will be energivzed to vote, not for McCain but against Obama. The polls were all wrong in the Primary elections. Nothing new here.

      Actually, dchg3645, that's not usually how it works. Initial exit polls right after a brutal primary where one's candidate loses is usually when some in a party vow to vote for the opposing party. But once the dust settles, they usually return to form. I wouldn't count on a major shift to McCain from Clintonistas/Clinton "Republicans" that's any more reflected in what you see right now in the polls. Just as much as you say that many Repubs will be energized against Obama, i see Barr as a wrench, many crossover Repubs being nergized BY Obama, and most repubs more energized by Paul, and lukewarm towards McCain. i don't see that changing too much. Obama is popular, and employing a 50-state strategy. And the polls weren't "all" wrong in the primaries. Whatever comforts you. You ARE right that it's early though. Either candidate could make things worse for himself from here on out; but my guess is that as long as Obama doesn't have any more Wrights or "bitter" comments misconstrued, then McCain had better start TRULY distancing himself from Bush policy, and SOON, if he wants to win this.

    McCain will win the presidency if Obama is the presidential candidate against him. Count on it. I for one will be voting for McCain given that situation along with many other "Sensible Americans". Hillary Clinton is the only one who has a shot against McCain. The Hillary / Bill team already ran the country, well think about how much better the country was economically and how well we got along with the other countries. Obama has had about a year or more in the senate and attended about a hundred congressional meetings voting present rather than voting for or against any of the issues being voted on. I want somebody whose been in the White House and has experienced credibility in doing so. You can have the greatest advisors and people around you, but one thing is for sure, any presidential candidate can Talk the Talk, but only the experienced can Walk the Walk. I personally don't want a preschooler in politics for the presidency. Maybe after some good credible years in the senate Obama can learn to walk and run with the best of them. Democrat comes from the word Democracy in which I am a part of just like you, and I speak with my freedom of speech just like you do but with my own opinion, and I have all nationalities in my family and which some of them are of color. I have no hate toward anyone. Colon Powell for the presidency would be awesome, but NOT Obama. It has to do with the person and his or her credibility, wisdom along with Knowledge. Obama is all of a sudden denouncing Jeremiah Wright. After several years of dominating his church for like, 20 years worth now, he's running for president and all of a sudden denouncing Jeremiah Wright and resigning from his church? In the twenty years Obama been listening to Jeremiah Wright, he NEVER objected to his speeches before. Why Now? Hey wake up "GULLIBLE AMERICANS" 2+2=4! The anger and hate in Jeremiah Wright's sermons are reminiscent of Farrakhan's. They don't wear a smiling mask. Obama does. Be proud of what you are Obama if you have nothing to hide. "Take off your mask" Muslim, Kenya, Islam people like Farrakhan and his own pastor Jeremiah Wright praising Farrakhan. NICE ! Also why doesn't Obama put his hand on his heart during the national anthem? Have a look at the photo from the October 1, 2007 edition of "Time." It shows Obama, Hillary and Bill Richardson at the Steak Fry of Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) on September 17 in Indianola, IA during the National Anthem.       Michelle Obama's comment was explained over and over again... she is an American success story and he is as well... neither came from previledge and both were outstanding students who have build a exceptional live for themselves and have served others in the process.

      McCain is the son of priviledge who accepted all advantages he was not entitled to by his poor, inadequate record... a C HS student admitted to the Naval Academy, the bottom 1% of his Naval Academy class who was selected for pilot training taking a slot from someone who earned that prestigious assignment, and so it goes... poor character, poor performance, poor judgment, pandering rather than leadership... and you should check out the video of him saying that it took captivity in N. Vietman for him to love his country....

        Obama didn't come from privilege? His grandfather ran a furniture store and his grandmother was VP of the Bank of Hawaii. He went to privates school that costs thousands of dollars, and an expensive college and two Ivy league universities. He didn't exactly come from meager roots.

          First of all VP of a Bank is more about title than compensation. And he attended those schools largely due to scholarships and student loans. So, yes I'd say those truths don't generally line up with the lives of the privileged.

    Many years ago, a great hitter named Paul Waner was nearing the end of his long career. He entered a ballgame with 2,999 hits, one hit away from the landmark total of 3,000, which so many hitters want to reach, but which relatively few actually do reach.

    Waner hit a ball that the fielder did not handle cleanly but the official scorer called it a hit, making it Waner's 3,000th. Paul Waner then sent word to the official scorer that he did not want that questionable hit to be the one that put him over the top.

    The official scorer reversed himself and called it an error. Later Paul Waner got a clean hit for number 3,000.

    What reminded me of this is the great fervor that many seem to feel over the prospect of the first black President of the United States.

    No doubt it is only a matter of time before there is a black president, just as it was only a matter of time before Paul Waner got his 3,000th hit. The issue is whether we want to reach that landmark so badly that we are willing to overlook how questionably that landmark is reached.

    Paul Waner had too much pride to accept a scratch hit. Choosing a President of the United States is a lot more momentous than a baseball record. We the voters need to have far more concern about who we put in that office that holds the destiny of a nation and of generations yet unborn.

    There is no reason why someone as arrogant, foolishly clever and ultimately dangerous as Barack Obama should become president, especially not at a time when the threat of international terrorists with nuclear weapons looms over 300 million Americans.

    Many people seem to regard elections as occasions for venting emotions, like cheering for your favorite team or choosing a Homecoming Queen.

    The three leading candidates for their party's nomination are being discussed in terms of their demographics, race, sex and age, as if that is what the job is about.

    Presidential candidate Barack Obama repudiated what he called "inflammatory and appalling remarks" made by his Chicago pastor.

    Obama said he had not been present during the sermons in question.

    Obama told MSNBC, "Had I heard them in church I would have expressed that concern directly to Rev. Wright."

    Please note, he says that he would have expressed concern, not repudiate, the words

    Yet, in this video, "the Rev" places Obama in the congregation, by saying, "There is a man here, who can take this country in a new direction" and he points at him.

    In the next clip, during Wright's 2007 Christmas services, Wright rails, "Barack knows what it means to be a black man living in a country and a process that is controlled by rich white men, Hillary can never know that, Hillary ain't ever been called a ***!"

    While Wright rails, "Bill did us like he did Monica Lewinsky," Wright's successor, Otis Moss III, jumps into the picture frame, attempting to high-five "the Rev."

    Barack was in Chicago for Christmas 2007 and Wright is addressing him from the pulpit. Will Barack say me didn't attend Christmas services?

    When Obama said, "Had I heard them in church ..." Obama lied. He listened to Wright's sermons for 20 years.

    These two men, Obama and Wright, are two peas in the same pod.

    And, please notice the congregation in that video. They are going nuts during Wright's preaching. All of them believe this "evil white man" crap and eat it up.

    The whole bunch of them are the worst kinds of hateful racists -- and remember, Wright's congregation is composed of successful, educated African-Americans.

    Obama leads in all polls and is pulling away, read the Quinnipiac poll of the 18th, where mccain trails in penn. by 12pts, Ohio by 6pts, and Fla by 4pts. So I guess all these polls are corrupt, or liberal, it is a plot!

    Seriously, the biggest margin of the last month of serious polling organizations was like 7. Now it's down to four. Then suddenly Newsweek with delusions of relevance comes and drops its load all over the indexes.
