    Re: Polls

Just ask a Hill supporter about the polls.

If polls were the least bit accurate, Hillary would be the Dem Queen.

Polls are BS period! I used to work for a company that conducted various polls/surveys. Trust me! They can be, and are, manipulated! I'm voting for McGame, but I would not wet my pants every time it showed him in the lead. It means absolutely nothing!!! Especially this early in the game. But if you need some reassurance that you messiah is in the lead, here you go:

    June 20, 2008

    Today???s Results

Tooth Fairy / Easter Bunny Poll

    Sen. Green 100%

    Sen. McGame .00%

Darn! McGame bounced back today from negative numbers yesterday! This is sure to be a real nail-biter to the end!

    • Posted By: notroubleatall1963 @ 06/20/2008 10:56:29 PM

McCain't is hardly my idea of a nail biter. Nails on a chalkboard? yes, I agree.

Bravo!!! LOL...somebody else feels the same way I do....

  • Posted By: Kboogie @ 06/20/2008 4:20:27 PM

Nobody wanted to listen to ol' KBOOGIE.

I said it before.......I'll say it again. Unless you find a dead-hooker in Obama's trunk, he will be POTUS!!!!!!!!

    Oh happy days!!!!!!!!

    • Posted By: fowlowl @ 06/20/2008 6:16:34 PM

The hooker isn't dead. For the first time in her adult life she's really proud of her country.

      • Posted By: skippy55 @ 06/20/2008 10:54:30 PM

The only whore is the GOP. Corporate sluts.

    • Posted By: fowlowl @ 06/20/2008 6:18:06 PM

And, if you did find a dead hooker in his trunk, the Democrats would say it was okay because "everybody lies about sex".

    • Posted By: HolyRoller @ 06/20/2008 5:34:45 PM

nobody can seem to locate Sinclair. Maybe he is in the trunk.

      NOBAMA!!

10-4 that, little buddy. I'm with ya. The Titanic is taking on water... The good news is there aren't enough lifeboats.

Repugnants have no ideas, they do not even pretend to. All
they can say is, in effect, "It can not be any better, so why
worry about the election? Why worry about the government?"
And they imply that somehow or another we ought to fear
progress, or fear the future. But Americans have never
feared progress and we have never feared the future. The
American dream is based on the belief that with hard work
and good government we can build better lives and build a
better nation for ourselves and for our children.
A great nation can not stand still. If we are not moving
forward, we are moving backward. Our nation has always
been at its best when as a people we are boldly reaching
out, striving, trying, growing, facing difficulties with
courage, with a spirit of unity, and the concept of
    excellence. And sometimes sacrifice.

Extend the scorching PAIN with your vote for Mccain

    "Snollygoster"

    Definition: Barack Hussein Obama
U.S. self-seeker: somebody, especially a politician, whose actions are motivated by self-interest rather than by high principles ( slang )

    • Posted By: marksgershenson @ 06/20/2008 10:48:04 PM

and McCain walks on water too...I haven't heard that word in years.....Here is further definition that also follows the slang...[Perhaps alteration of snallygaster, a mythical beast said to prey on poultry and children, perhaps from Pennsylvania Dutch schnelle geeschter : Middle High German sn??l, quick (from Old High German) + Middle High German geist, spirit (from Old High German).]

I think that his self-interest is to help the people of this country...he has a higher purpose....and it frightens people because he is Black...too bad, I caught you on your bigotry on other posts in this blog....NEXT!

The Dems will raise taxes all right. They'll raise them on the people who should be taxed higher, like oil corporations(other corps. as well) and the filthy rich.

    • Posted By: MOando @ 06/20/2008 10:45:31 PM

What's your problem with the rich. You had a chance to get rich. If you want all to be taxed the same, make the same money, live the same lifestyle, you might want to try any socialistic society.

  • Posted By: Pudbert @ 06/20/2008 9:52:01 PM

Great, more liberal BS propaganda. What has the biased and slanted media in our country become?

    • Posted By: marksgershenson @ 06/20/2008 10:39:22 PM

      NEWSWEEK, CNN, ETC, ETC...LMAO

  • Posted By: Vox120 @ 06/20/2008 9:53:29 PM

If you take time to read the metrics behind the poll (Newsweek Poll Methodology in the upper left corner) you find that the poll used 231 Republicans, 324 Democrats and 307 Independents. That's 93 more Dems than Reps that were polled in their survey. It comes as no surprise then that Newsweek's poll shows a 15 point lead in favor of Obama. If you don't think that makes a difference then let's see a poll where 93 more Republicans than Dems are sampled and check out the results. This is the kind of weasel tactic that biased, partisan rags like Newsweek use all the time. They just hope no one will take the time to read the small print and discover their skewed population of poll respondents. As for Obama, can you say: "Howard Dean Eleventh-Hour Flameout"?

    • Posted By: marksgershenson @ 06/20/2008 10:38:25 PM

I think more important than anything else is that people go and exercise their right to vote...regardless of who you want.... polls change like the color of my wife's hair...depends on the speed of the gray, and which way the wind blows.... sit back and watch the show....AND VOTE

    • Posted By: marksgershenson @ 06/20/2008 9:57:39 PM

Polls don't mean squat, so what are you worried about...If you don't like the way the poll was taken, why not ignore the poll?

  • Posted By: spiritguide @ 06/20/2008 10:22:57 PM

Vote for know nothing McCain if you want endless wars which benefit corporate weapons makers and holders of other federal contracts, a disasterous economy with China, Russia, india, Brazil and others taking the world lead and pushing us toward third-world status. The "Anything Goes, I've Got Mine.. Who Cares About You" Republican Party is destroying America. With leaders like them, who needs terrorists ???

  • Posted By: ambrosealumni @ 06/20/2008 10:22:35 PM

LMAO ... isn't this the same poll that consistenly showed Hillary Clinton about 10 points ahead, "nationwide"? This poll is absolutely worthless, and these people know it. What a crock. Just more Democrats, whistling past the graveyard. Ridiculous. Keep holding hands and singing Kumbaya. McCain is SO going to whip butt this fall. ; )

    • Posted By: marksgershenson @ 06/20/2008 10:33:13 PM

I like Kumbaya... and I don't personally give credence to any poll...LOL

This is a typical left-wing Newsweek poll; yellow journalism. The same type of lying garbage that the N.Y. Times, MSNBC and CNN have all used to bend the polls in Obama's direction. All garbage.

    • Posted By: mrzoid @ 06/20/2008 7:39:46 PM

Your right, we should all run to the balanced news organizations like: Fox News, The New York Post, The Wallstreet Journal, etc.

      • Posted By: Concerned Ctzn @ 06/20/2008 10:27:07 PM

        Mr. Zoid,

Haven't you got the memo? Cross-dressin', GOP Turncoat, Murdork & Co (FIX News/WSJ) signed on with KID FOX (BO). Let's face it, the Geo-Elitist know a sucker (puppet) when they see one.

Ohh don't worry ... Murdork will still have Bill O'Wrighty play it off like they still stand for conservative values. But it???s all just a game to them. In fact, you Ultra-Libs should be thrilled to have all the NEOCON-ARTISTS joining the 'O' TEAM! AM I WRIGHT OR WRONG?

    • Posted By: apolitical one @ 06/20/2008 8:24:41 PM

You will believe the polls in October. Voters are tired of negativity, and rightwing lies, so your words are just going to make your suffering more painfull. God bless you sir!

    • Posted By: PleaseSaveAmerica @ 06/20/2008 7:39:44 PM

And let me guess Prof D, Fox is "Fair and Balanced". Come on now, get real.

    • Posted By: notroubleatall1963 @ 06/20/2008 7:39:27 PM

And Fox News is your standard, I suppose? That's just admirable, harharharhar...

Talk about YELLOW journalism - FOX NEWS TAKES THE YELLOW CAKE and SMEARS IT WITH WHITE ICING.

So much for Mrs. Clinton???s claim that she and only she could win in November.

Actually if the election were held today I would certainly vote for Obama. However, we have a long time until November and I hope to get more specifics from both candidates before casting my ballot. From what I know of McCain, he???s really not all that bad. It???s nice that for a change, I don???t feel that either candidate is the devil incarnate. I???m hoping that this will be a civilized campaign about issues. Both candidates are gentlemen and I???m looking forward to hearing what they both have to say about the issues facing our country.

    • Posted By: WhenStarsTurnBlue @ 06/20/2008 9:47:32 PM

If you want to learn more about where each candidate stands on each issue, try a site like http://www.ontheissues.org/default.htm

I don't care who you chose to vote for, I just like people to actually do their research before they declare their support for a candidate and vote for better reasons than "that one is cuter." I remember talking to a friend why they shouldn't vote for Bush because he lied about the WMDs in Iraq, but she told me she was voting for him because he "reminded her of her grandpa" and she got a warm, safe feeling when he spoke.

Hmmm, I find it odd that when ones candidate is ahead in the polls, polls are the gospel; but when ones candidate is down in the polls, the polls were manipulated and there needs to be an investigation. Boo-freaking-hoo McCain supporters, and Obama people, do not take this bump to seriously.

Public education in this country should teach true philosophy. No one thinks anymore, they just get emotional swayed by their favorite American Idol. This is exactly what the Founding Fathers had feared with risk of direct elections: mob rule by that uneducated masses.

    • Posted By: marksgershenson @ 06/20/2008 10:09:02 PM

That is called the Electoral College...perhaps you forgot what happened eight years ago...

  • Posted By: AmeriKhan Lobo @ 06/20/2008 10:08:45 PM

Nice sarcasm (Concerned Ctzn). Just like a Republican to point the finger and blame Dems for your(our) problems. I guess you think were better off with McSame(Bush 3). I don't hear you complaining about the TRILLIONS of $$$ the Iraq fiasco is gonna cost us by the time they pull out(if they pull out). You can expect more of "your" tax dollars to be spent on bullsh*t if McSame becomes President. He'll probably keep us in Iraq for 5-10 more years and start a war with another country.

  • Posted By: homas333@yahoo.com @ 06/20/2008 10:08:43 PM

Obama is going to kick butt this fall. Just wait until Obama & McBush meet in some "town hall" settings. The Rethugs and all their stupid sheeple deserve what's going to happen to them.

The American people are being pushed to the greatest deceit in history. They are moving toward electing an individual who is a snake-oil salesman that is no deeper than a teleprompter for original ideas. The last talent-less leader of the US, like this, was Jimmy Carter

    • Posted By: xeyeldinTX @ 06/20/2008 10:05:56 PM

Oh no Duey. The last talentless president is the one currently residing at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

  • Posted By: ApostasyUSA @ 06/20/2008 9:08:34 PM

Funny that no one can tell me why I should vote GOP this time, using the GOP as the example.

With 8 years of failure by conservatives, you have a cocktail for a beat down.

How is John McCain going to inspire the voter turnout for his party? His great speeches? Conservative talk radio? His flip-flop talk express bus overstuffed with Lobbyists? We all love to engage in punditry but the facts are the facts. Repubs do not have the votes to win. Outside of a total collapse (And I mean TOTAL collapse, not merely a split of the electorate)the Dem party they can offer up a broccoli f-art in a jar and still gain the White House.

What planet are you conservatives living on? Your Reagan Democrat pink cloud from 20+ years ago?

    • Posted By: WhenStarsTurnBlue @ 06/20/2008 10:04:31 PM

I don't know if you noticed, but conservative talk radio hates McCain. He's too moderate for them, and they're all upset he's the nominee.
