This is good news for the Obama campaign but they should not get complacent. Republicans fight dirty so be prepared at all times. It is time for us to send that old decrepit broken down straight talk express to the junkyard.

I tuned in to CNN the other night and heard a love fest for Obama. It was pretty nauseating!! Why does no one question the empty suit? If you go to You Tube and type in Obama and VA, you can hear one of his impromptu speeches. The stumbling, bumbling display certainly sounded like he was waiting for a cue from offstage into an ear phone. If McCain had made such a horrible speech, he'd be on every network and they'd be calling him senile. What is brilliant Ivy-league educated Obama's excuse?

Do you realize that if we as a people took a collective responsibility and initiative to make changes to our own lives, that would go a longer way to a sustainable energy policy than drilling ever would? Personal responsibility, I thought, was a Republican mantra. I hope that just doesn't mean when it doesn't inconvenience you.

It really gets me that the word "taxes" is a like kryptonite to some people. You do understand that taxes are necessary for many things we take for granted, right? Police, Firefighters, libraries, roads, etc. -- all the stuff that we use or have available to us everyday without giving it one second thought. All these people who fear a raise in taxes somehow think money for our these things will just come out of thin air or say "Who cares if we have to borrow for these things. Budget deficit be damned".

Obama's plan on energy: tax holidays are a gimmick (he voted 3 times for it), No nuclear energy additions, no offshore drilling (it will take five years before we see anything - with this logic WHY build bridges - we can't use trhem for 5 years...) So with no addition in energy how will we power our country WITH HOPE!! YES! HOPE follks - that;s how Obama plans to solve the energy crisis

Am I theonly one worried ab out these comments about Mrs. Obama? In her senior thesis, she asked: Does immersion in an elite white institution draw blacks away from their community? She surveyed black Princeton alumni, finding their ties weakened after graduation.

Mrs. Obama wrote in the introduction, ???will likely lead to my further integration and/or assimilation into a white cultural and social structure that will only allow me to remain on the periphery of society, never becoming a full participant.???

We need to wean ourselves off of petroleum a lot faster than you think. It's going to impact the global economy even more than it is now... We have no real substitute - and petroleum makes up (or is a component of) so many of our every day products - plastics, microchip manufacturing, food and beverage manufacturing, medicine, cosmetics, just about everythingf in Walmart, in your house ,in your car, and in your life.

Global supply is peaking and demand is rising - oil prices will remain high and only get higher over the next decade as we run out of light sweet crude that makes our gasolene, etc.

How in the world can this poll be taken seriously? When you have a 2-1 margin in favor of a democrat, are the results really so surprising? Newsweek should be ashamed for putting up such a faulty poll? Can they explain why they have skewed the poll so far in favor of a democrat?
