    Haha, good god you're so full of it. Who, exactly, classified you as a "guardian of destiny"? Couldn't they have come up with a less cheesy sounding title? What important people have you protected and how? What makes you think you're gifted, and not merely mentally ill?

    There's a reason psychic phenomenon has never been demonstrated in a proper laboratory setting - it doesn't exist, obviously. Anyone paying any amount of money for such nonsense is a rube.

    Newsweek, why are you even printing stuff like this? Does sensationalist tripe really garner THAT many hits? Is it worth your credibility?

      Holding on to that bible a little to tight Hexchun maybe you should wake up some of us are not brain washed by the man made mind control that's in that book. As for some of the gifted we feel sorry for those that can not see things before they happen for us it's a lot of fun. You must be very lonely or just primitive or both to think that people with the insight to see the future are mentally ill. It's stupid people like you that make it so hard for the gifted to help others. Please stay in your little world and leave the future to us

    The claims made by psychic fund investors, financial intuitionists, stock fund mentalists, and paranormal soothsayers are either unfounded delusions of God-like powers or pure and deep signs of psychological illness. Don't be fooled by claims of stocks rocking to the top, jackpots, or millions made by using business psychics. No proofs, no specifics, just mountains of fantasy aimed at the gullible. In September 2008 millions of investment dollars were wiped out as the facade behind psychics were revealed as nothing more than a giant fiasco and charade.

    The most damaging power behind psychics and their claims is time. And as of October 1, 2008 the results are clear for all to see. Anyone checked the 52-week stock run by Seagate Technology as of October 1? It resembles a downhill ski slope with highs originally near $29 to lows near $11. Indeed over the past two years dozens of business psychics (who like to dress themselves up as either Wall Street mentalists or intuitionists, but never soothsayers) is that their claims --- always vague, with anonymous sources that must remain anonymous --- are now found lacking. No prior published and accredited claims accurately predicted the specific scenarios of Lehman Brothers, AIG, Washington Mutual, the buy-out of Merrill-Lynch, or Wachovia. Rather, investments supported by psychic intuitions --- guesses --- from early 2008 have collapsed and major investors have lost millions. But even now we've seen none of these $10,000 a month psychics show proof of their claims. Amazingly none have offered to show any newspaper confirmed documented proofs that they ever actually made financial forecasts beforehand which resulted in anything but "wipe-out" investor losses in September. Now in early October 2008 after 10 days of economic turmoil there were absolutely zero prior claims specific to any of the major events of the past 10 days. None.     Alright some time has now passed since this article was published. As of late September what do the facts reveal about using $10,000-a-month psychics (and there are many) as financial consultants? Global Hedge Funds injected with "gifted" psychic visions reportedly collapsed just before Wall Street September 2008 cave-in. Several "gifted" hot commodity Wall Street psychics apparently led money managers to ruin according to former fund holders.

    In late September 2008 several former psychic fund investors chastised critic John Merrell for his position that using business psychics (and there are many) for stock, bond, and fund analysis was both naive and highly risky. Dozens of "believers" indicated the psychics would ultimately provie their case.

    This week many of those "believers" who defended their psychic forecasters and financial psychics regret their former position. Apparently dozens of naive investors committed typical amounts between $100,000 to $2 million dollars and now find that the entire portfolio among all common stockholders is gone. "It's a complete wipeout and several of us who lost more than swimming pool amounts know yours was the sole internet warning. Be nice enough not to laugh as we get drunk and scarf down the *** of psychics."

    Speculation by these investors is that the losses came from bond holdings and shorts targeted through a maze of financial institutions including collapsing institutions such as AIG, Washington Mutual and the 14-year old Lehman Brothers.

    "It was never much of a ride from the time it began in late 2007" according to another investor who e-mailed her thoughts. "They never really did much of anything except steadily decline beginning in July but we were told the psychic forecasting was predicting Jamaica sunshine soon."

    The so-called "New Age frontier" where psychics claimed to be giving hundreds of financial readings to business investors apparently even claimed banking consultants who fell for the intrigue and excitement.

    One interesting aspect to this psychic game is that apparently one psychic business forecaster was meeting with his clients aboard a cruise line when the investors were notified by e-mail. According to a source who claims to be a previous investor all four investors on board the cruise ship upon discovering their prior investments had been wiped out attempted to get the cruise line security to place the psychic forecaster under house arrest.

    Perhaps once the cruise ship docks we'll hear more. And for those who were indicated that the top FBI and TV psychic detective would be shown as near perfect, please think again.     Her work is based only on practical guidelines and insights and her track record is incredible.

    Intuition is the key to psychic abilities and if you learn to "follow your gut instinct " you can learn to enlighten those qualities for your own benefit. There is an amazing quality some people have that others can question and comment on but experience is the real knowledge. Ask a question....see if you do find and concrete answers for yourself. I am not able to answer by psychic abilities but have seen someone answer questions that weren't by chance.     I notice that the journalist reports that the people who have used Ms Dayi's services and it has proved helpful do not want to be identified. I'm wondering about the ones for whom it did NOT prove helpful, and how they feel about being identified.
    Secondly, why would the newsweek editor handling this story (?) let Tony Dokoupil get by with "...there are no atheists in foxholes."     As a Christian I must point this out. How dare you compare Joseph or anyone else in the Bible that followed God to this intuition or gut feeling! This is Satan, the work of demons! (call me a fanatic, but it's true!)Joseph was not able to interpret Pharaohs dreams because he had a "sixth sense" or intuition. Joseph interpreted those dreams because GOD gave him the meaning! If you want to compare Laura to someone in the Bible compare her to the witch of Endor. King Saul went and consulted her about future events and she conjured up what looked like Samuel, but it was an evil spirit, not the spirit of God???s prophet. Read your Bible's people!!!

      Ok, I usually never respond to these blogs, but I like to see what other people have to say. First of all - I have read my Bible and God blesses his followers with spiritual gifts. Laura Day is not 'divining' the future, she is not tarot card reading - so how dare you pass judgement on her and say that she is Satan and the work of demons. If she is encouraging people to listen to their 'inner voice' or intuition - which was GIVEN TO US BY GOD - why would that be wrong? The brain is a marvelous thing, and subconciously we pick up many different signals, clues, etc from the people around us every day. If your brain were a computer (which our brains are actually 100 times better than...) it could put all those facts together and make a rational decision about something. How many times have you looked outside at a storm and thought - nope - I'll wait till the rain lets up before running to the store. Whether you call it intuition or common sense - it is just using the natural talents God has blessed us all with. You should take one of her workshops before you go labeling her. I haven't - but I am open to it now.

      "As a Christian I must point this out...." my dear blaquepua, God gives his flock many gifts. Some of us do not use what is given to us and that is our falut. I agree with Tisha_Lee, what you do with the gifts that God bestows upon us is your right. If you use them for evil, God help you, but if you use those gifts to bring about good and help others, that is a good thing. We need to own up to what we do. God gave everyone a free will. I think that most REAL psychics are very helpful. I just personally wish that those of us who don't make a lot of money could afford them. Anymore it seems that only the affluent can afford the time of our psychics and that hurts my feelings, but I also believe they need to make a living. I believe in psychics and I believe that they can HELP many people. Do not judge unless you would be judged.

      If you use an ability to do good, it is good, if you use it to harm, it is not. We are responsible for how we use all of our gifts. It is not a question of religion, it is a question of morality. As a community we are strong. We need to work together with all of our gifts for the common good.The Tower of Babel served no one.

      I did read my bible and it denounces soothsayers those who tell you what you want to hear. Intuition has many meanings, usually connected to the meaning "ability to sense or know immediately without reasoning", Laura teaches to follow your gut instincts and listen to your body speak to you. Man being created in Gods image can move mountains. Lets not forget the three wise men who followed a star to find the baby Jesus. The bible also says that you should not judge others. Open your mind pick up "Practical Intuition" or "The Circle" and learn how to tap into this amazing God given gift.
