Laura Day is a master teacher! Her work is insightful and accessible; and as is the case with anything, give it a test drive before you pass judgement. I work with people and businesses and intuition, it is a field ready to emerge. Success in the developing business climate is going to require greater and greater reliance on the quick insight of intuition. Those who practice following their intuition will lead.
Be well, Karyn P. - Chicago

I was so thrilled to open Newsweek and find Laura Day featured! 5 years back, on a whim i might add, i signed up for Laura's critically acclaimed workshop, Practical Intuition. My life, my family, & my business have been profoundly influenced by what she has shared with me and countless others. Laura is a no BS straight shooter. she doesn't promise to reveal the mysteries of life. she generously shares a tangible approach to achieve your goals in your life. Though Practical Intuition is her NY Times bestseller, The Secret is the book by her that i refer to on a weekly basis. It has contributed to the success of a new division in my pr & marketing firm and has supported the growth and well being of myself & my loved ones.

Laura Day is an incredible intuitive! I have been lucky enough to meet her in person after reading several of her books. Her books have made remarkable changes in my life- she is able to clearly direct the reader to using their own intuitive skills. She truly is the real thing! And is readly, able and willing to share what she knows.

I have read several of Laura's books and always finished each one with more confidence in myself, having followed her exercises and validated, unequivocally, that intuition is real. It is a process and an understanding that comes more naturally for some, but can be learned, developed, and refined by anyone willing to do the work. Time and again I have used my intuition to know what is right, and to lead me to a solution when things have gone wrong. I have been fortunate enough to meet Laura on several occasions, attending many of her workshops on different coasts. While she is a tough and demanding teacher, she is also a kind and giving human being. She believes in her students and works hard to ensure her students develop the skills to believe in themselves. I have seen Laura do readings, for myself and others. What she does cannot be faked, but it absolutely can be taught and learned. Laura does that better than anyone else I have ever seen or read or even heard about. Many of the other students I have met in her workshops given stunningly accurate readings, both about things from the past they could not know about and things that have not yet happened. The process Laura teaches works, and is verifiable, so it is not shocking that mega-corporations pay $10,000 a month for her insight. It is a worthwhile investment. For the average person, there could be no better investment in self than the price of one of her books or an on-line session through HayHouse to prove, even to the doubters, you are truly more powerful than you imagine.

I am delighted to see Laura Day???s work featured in Newsweek. Ten years ago, I discovered the book "Practical Intuition" and was completely fascinated not only by the material and its easy familiarity, but by Day herself. So drawn was I to her energy and her ability to make a potentially esoteric concept thoroughly accessible that I determined that one day I would meet the author. Six years later, I was fortunate enough to stumble on Day???s book "The Circle", which inspired me to participate in her 5-day workshop, a workshop that would change my life. As a healthcare provider who works with young families, Laura Day???s teachings have been a generous gift, directing my own intuitive skills toward knowing my clients needs more deeply and holistically. In using Laura???s material, I have a better practice, I have a better life and far more confidence in my own intuitive talent. As a guide, Laura makes intuition practical and available to all of us. She believes that each of us has the capacity to harness our intuition to become our best possible selves. It is certainly no wonder that corporations, run by savvy people who recognize the value of intuition would rely on Laura Day???s insights. While we may not all have the luxury of $10000 per month to access Laura???s skills, we all have equal access to her teachings through her books and workshops. What an amazing gift that someone who can justifiably command such fees is even more concerned with making intuition normal to all of us.

I took a workshop with Ms. Day at the Open Center about two years ago. My intuition led me to the course and I spent a day learning that what I always felt was real. I use my gift in the classroom and I look forward to receiving emails from Ms. Day about upcoming events. I believe a true teacher shares their gifts and Ms. Day does exactly that. I was invited by Ms. Day to join her Harvard group, but I was and am still shy, so I have yet to attend. But the invitation did wonders for my confidence. Those who truly believe receive further confirmation that their gifts are valid and good, anyone with questions needs to work on trusting themselves, no matter what field they are in. Thank you to Ms. Day, Ayeshia Medlin.

Laura Day's "The Circle" truly transformed my life and allowed me to understand the power of creating my own reality vs. giving my power to others to determine it for me. I am so grateful for Laura's work, insight and integrative teaching style. I've learned nothing is better than my own intuition and there's real freedom in that!

Knowing what is going to happen before it happens used to mean that you are a good planner and that you carried out your plans well. But, having a personal peep hole into the future or into other people's personal and business affairs seems pretty close to a burden. I think that Day might have sort of touched on this when she referred to not really wanting to know what her son was doing with his date until 2 A.M., though she seemed to have no choice but to endure it anyway. Being normal is just a really good deal.

I am a student of Laura Day and of course a fan. I am so excited about this wonderful article. It really takes the corner store psychic out of the what most perceive and taps into real intuition that we all can learn. Laura came out to do a workshop for me at my previous bookstore and donated the money back to the store. Laura is the real deal and cares more about helping others than any teacher I ever worked with. Laura does not claim to be special she is more about teaching what she knows to help others. Thank you for that!! Many Blessings and much Success. Tisha

Some information seems to be missing. First, what proportion of businesses have used Ms. Day's services and have been dissatisfied? Also, what possible explanations did Michael Shermer give for her abilities, or did Mr. Dokoupil even ask?

I picked up Laura Day's "Practical Intuition" long before I could fully learn how to use it- I was just 14 at the time- but I like to think it was my own intuition that sparked that purchase. Years later, I found the book and embarked on a great journey. Since then, I have used and continue to use Ms. Day's other books- my favorites being "The Circle" & "Welcome to Your Crisis." I've also been to her workshops which are always astounding & powerful. I don't think of Laura Day as a psychic though, I think of her as a powerful intuitive and a gifted, generous teacher. She never poses as a guru but simply as a facilitator, and will be the first to tell you that you too have the power of intuition. What she & her books do, if you allow them to, is reconnect you with that power. More amazing than her gift is her dedication to bettering the lives of others. She is the most accessible spiritual teacher (that's how I think of her) out there. I, for one, have benefited greatly from her free monthly workshops! Thanks to Laura Day I've been able to figure out what I'm really passionate about and have manifested an acting career that is picking up speed daily! I think it's great that Newsweek has featured Laura Day, but she's not merely a psychic - her teachings are a way of life!

It's nice to read an article that is positive about psychics. I have seen Carla Baron on "Haunting Evidence" and find her refreshing and down to earth.

Bravo Newsweek for finally acknowledging what has been in the mainstream for some time! I look forward to more articles like this in the future (minus the crystal ball cliche). Successful business men and women have been using intuition in decision making for some time, albeit under other names (gut, instinct, feeling, etc.). Even Schwager's series Market Wizards, which interviews top traders, most of them admit to using intuition as part of their winning strategy.
Laura Day is the real deal. She has stripped intuition of it's less savory mythology and teaches intuition as a practical business tool. Anyone aspiring to success in their field would be well served by Laura's teachings. Her classes teach intuition is a no-nonsense, practical and repeatable format. If you have the opportunity to take one of her classes, run don't walk! Until then, her books are a must read, especially Practical Intuition and The Circle.
As the other poster had mentioned, "The Circle" was out there long before "The Secret" and will guide you step by step into making your desires a reality.

Everyone has intuition, but Laura Day has unlocked hers and is using it to help people and businesses. I took a workshop from her and unlocked a significant portion of my own intuition and it has transformed how I do business and relate to people. She is the author of several books besides Practical Intuition, and I have also found The Circle and Welcome to Your Crisis to be just amazing -- this goes far beyond mere intuition.

I've personally attended Laura Day's monthly workshops she holds at Barnes & Noble, as well as have read her books Practical Intuition, The Circle and currently, Welcome To Your Crisis. Although I???ve been intuitive all my life, I never understood it or knew how to use it. Through Laura Day???s knowledge and experience, she???s empowered and educated me on how to strengthen my awareness of tapping into my natural ability to guide me personally and professionally.

As a marketing professional, I can attest to the work that I have experienced with Laura Day. She is amazing. Not only does she personally possess extraordinary skills, but she teaches regular "Janes" and "Joes" to do the same -- trust our intuition and apply that to our daily work and lives. The work is life changing. She is absolutely worth her day rate -- and more!
