I am overwhelmed with happiness for the exposure that you are giving the very talented Laura Day. I myself have not only read all of her books ( The Circle, Practical Intuition,Welcome to Your Crisis... are just a few to mention...) which I dare say, would question about the author of the article and the people who have been commenting here... but I have also trained with her on multiple occasions. So in that respect I feel I have a comment that is actually worth something more than just stupid talk.
I am also a Surgeon.... and you will find it far and few between in the medical field where someone will admit that they are "psychic" as you all have been using the term, but as Ms. Day, myself and anyone who has either a strong intuitive ability since childhood or has attended her workshops and mastered the very valuable skills she teaches, you would realized the fundamental teaching and that is that we are all intuitive... just to various degrees.
We should be grateful that Laura Day is out there helping people and teaching others to do the same. She is a very generous and loving person. She offers workshops online through Hay House for people who could not normally afford to attend her other workshops, they are live and international and callers can speak to Laura and ask her questions. These workshops have been offered in the past for $10.... and are available for download now. I highly recommend them.
While everyone across the country was oohing and aahing over "The Secret" they should have just gone out and bought "The Circle" by Laura Day and started manifesting what they truly wanted in their life. I can attest to the POWER of the circle... and we are all in it.
The author failed to mention that Laura Day has been praised by Dr. James D. Watson, Nobel Laureate
and co-discover of DNA, Deepak Chopra,MD, Sarah Ferguson, Dutchess of York, as well as Nicole Kidman... Her list continues to grow as we sit here now... as it should be.
I am honored to have met her and to have her in my life. If you ever get the opportunity to attend a workshop I am confident you will feel the same.

I know some people who are skeptical about intuition but the proof is in the pudding: if business clients are willing to pay Ms. Day month after month, clearly they are receiving valuable (practical, usable) information or they would stop using her services!

Did it ever happen to you that you meet a person who is all-smiles-firm-handshake-clean-resume, and as you shake his hand, your stomach tightens up in a bad way? You hire him (go out with him, got on a date with him, sign a deal with him -- pick one), and the deal goes sour? Or your walk into an apartment that looks terrible, but something about it makes you feel good, so you buy it despite the appearance, and over time it turns out that you made the best $ investment of your life? Consultants like Laura Day teach ways of capturing that instinct of yours, and reading it well, so that you can use that info in addition to your intellect. Laura's philosophy is that everyone is an intuitive, and we just have to figure out ways to listen to our gut and interpret what it says. Sounds about right to me.

Nearly every business book in the last decade has emphasized the need to ???trust your gut.??? Instinct is merely another name for intuition. In an era where business is continually evolving and growing at a pace that is difficult to keep up with, it seems like a natural transition to go deeper into the ???knowing??? that is more comprehensive than a mere extrapolation of past patterns. Ms. Day is wonderful example of how we can all use our inherent ability to tap into a resource that is pure, clean, and without the bias of personal experience. Kudos to Newsweek for presenting such a cutting edge approach for evolving business practices. Hopefully we will see more articles like this in the very near future.

I can't help but ntoice the negative comments going on here. Everyone has a right to their skepticism. There is validaty in this Newsweek article and Laura Day in particular. I have attended several of her workshops and will attend another this summer. I consider myself to be pretty mainstream. Laura we all have the ability to intuit, we just have to learn how.
You can find out at no cost- go to the library and check out her book, "Practical Intuition." Try the exercises. If they don't work, then you have validated your opinion. If they do, then you have opened up a new world. The choice is yours.

I love Carla Baron! She's one of the top psychics out there who uses her talents and gifts for the greater good.

That is good, Zig Zag, really good. Do you wear your seat belts only when you are going to have a wreck?

    • Posted By: Zig Zag @ 06/22/2008 9:44:28 PM

No, because when I know I am going to get into a wreck, I chose not to drive that day. It's worked so far!

I wanted to read blogs by a lot of psychics. There aren't any around here and I think that the process is just fascinating. Except for my old buddy who only wears a seat belt when there is going to be a wreck, I am ignorant of the whole deal. But now I catch it. Psychics don't need a blog to blog. So the rest of us just might as well forget it. Thanks for cluing me in Zig Zag. I am just thinking the rest, but I know that you know what I am thinking.

We're all blogging - just doing it psychicly :-)

  • Posted By: olderwiser @ 06/22/2008 12:03:11 PM

This is a very lonely blog.

Maybe that psychic ability is sort of a reversal of the flow of things. We normal people go looking for things and then find them. Things go looking for psychics and then find them. Or something like that. But, if you're psychic, I wouldn't mind you setting me straight here. It would be good to know.

There is humor in some of this intuitive talent. I have a friend who says that he is psychic. I believe him but have not been in a position to see it happen. But one event he told me about was really humorous. He was in a vehicle with a group one night and the driver told him to fasten his seat belt, since the local gendarmes were pretty bad about ticketing any driver whose passengers did not wear the seat belt. My friend said that he told the driver, "look, I'm a psychic and any time that you see a psychic fasten his seat belt, you can guarantee that you are about to be in a wreck". Life would be miserable without good friends.
