We need to get out of Iraq and transfer responsibility and management of that country to the IRAQ's themselves. THEY SHOULD be backed by a multinational force led by Middle Eastern countries until they are able to fight extremist on their own.
Our unilateral approach in the MIDDLE EAST has to come to an end. ECONOMICALLY, IRAQ IS KILLING the average tax payer and making a few private contractors and oil firms rich.

We need Oil. WE NEED OIL. Therefore, getting rid of the Iranian regime is at the top of our agenda.
The majority in Iran want change but not under and American led invasion. It has to be done from within. We lost the support of moderate Arabs and Muslims over the last six years. Hopefully, PRESIDENT OBAMA can empower this group and encourage them to meet with their counterparts.

Inotherwords there should be an alliance between all moderates in the Middle East, JEWS, ARABs, MUSLIMS, ect... These forces must be self motivated by a common cause, Peace. IF this group can be strengthened they themselves will defeat or at least contain the force of extremism.
WE must strengthen the forces behind peace and weaken those against peace on both sides.

THE UNITED STATES CANNOT SOLVE THE CONFLICT IN THE MIDDLE EAST. WE CAN ONLY STRENGHTEN AND SUPPORT THE PEOPLE OF THE MIDDLE EAST TO SOLVE THEIR OWN PROBLEMS.

IN THE SHORT RUN WE NEED MIDDLE EASTERN OIL. THIS COMPLICATES OUR ROLE OVER THERE.
WE Should have had an ENERGY SUMMIT TEN YEARS AGO. WE NEED TO COME UP WITH A TWENTY YEAR PLAN to RID OURSELVES of OIL DEPENDENCY IN THE MIDDLE EAST. TWENTY YEARS WILL GO BY LIKE NOTHING. WE HAVE TO START NOW.

THE most dangerous threats are the ones you do not see coming. LIKE CHINA, RUSSIA, EASTERN EUROPEAN organized crime. Monitoring these entities will be our great challenge.
ARE WE READY FOR CYBER WAR. I DON't THINK SO.

Cindy McCain, no offense, looks like a Nazi wife - your blonde haired, blue eyed patriot... I'm sure she's a nice lady in person, but as a political wife I think she seems a little two-diminsional. Maybe that's not charitable, since she's obviously got her own interests and far be it from me to put down a member of my same sex.

But I think Michelle Obama would make a much more interesting First Lady, let's put it that way. She is better educated, more articulate, more passionate, and extremely unconventional compared with other first ladies (with possible exception of Hillary Clinton, who paved the way for professional women in their own right to become First Ladies)...

Mrs. McCain, to give her credit, is polished looking and professional herself. But I just can't shake that Stepford Wife feeling I get when I see her on TV standing by John, looking vapid or cross-eyed - her eyes look so strange, perhaps it's a result of her stroke....poor girl.

I like her, but I'd rather see Michelle, fiery, controversial Michelle - in the White House - with Obama for President. With all due respect to McCains and their followers....

Tthe Supporters of John McCain are willing to send Young Women and Men to Iraq to DIE in Iraq, while knowing that Bush, Cheney, Rice, Powell and Rumsfeld cooked up phony evidence to get support for the invasion. They have trapped themselves into killing soldiers to continue Bush' term with McCain as his proxy in the Whitehouse. They're circling the wagons to protect their despicable idols. Knowingly sending someone to die in your place for false reasons in the lowest form of cowardism. How can a person do that. Thank god the Republican Party is on the decline. Soon it will be relegated to third party status and the yellow dogs will fade into the sunset.

If you think I would vote for a man who would continue to send soldiers to their death solely to obtain the support of the mouth-breathing 23%ers that make up the ultra Right wing of your party, you're mistaken. He and you know the war was cooked up. He and you know he cannot win without the wacked out wing of your party. We're not talking about wars that were justified here and you and he knows that too. Neither of you were in on the faking of the evidence to justify the invasion. You both are in on it now. You didn't mention the MIA statement, why not. No Real Marine could condone that. A couple of months ago McCain's Marine son came home from Iraq. McCain seized on the moment, saying that all he saw at the start of his tour were IEDs and at the end of his tour he was handing out soccer balls. since then we've seen almost an every other day story of our Bravest Young Solsiers being killed . Do i have to tell you what killed them. Mostly IEDS

I don't plan to vote for either of these gentlemen. Perhaps I should vote for the man with whom I disagree less? The "man of great character" quote is really sharp. A man leaves wive and kids, to marry much younger rich woman. If you look in the dictionary, I doubt you will find that as a definition. Obama and I agree that the sun rises in the east: beside that? He is a great speaker and I am impressed that he won his party's nomination. His party now defines marriage as two people who wish to form a union. When will they get around to three people who want to form a union? Why limit this wonderful freedom to just "people"? Yes, it appears I will be sitting this one out.

Wow, our economy is a wreck, people are losing their homes, education is no longer affordable, we are in a war, gas prices have sky rocketed, and all people want to do is run down the looks of the two possible first-ladies and make sexist remarks!?!? I can see why Michelle Obama isn't proud to call herself an American, if this message board is an accurate reflection of American's views, I'm not so proud to call myself an American either.
