Here is Barry embellishing yet again...trying to take credit for a bill that he had no part in. Does this guy have no conscience?
    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/03/23/AR2008032301706.html
--"I want to cite Lindsey Graham, Sam Brownback, Mel Martinez, Ken Salazar, myself, Dick Durbin, Joe Lieberman . . . who've actually had to wake up early to try to hammer this stuff out," he said.

To Senate staff members, who had been arriving for 7 a.m. negotiating sessions for weeks, it was a galling moment. Those morning sessions had attracted just three to four senators a side, Sen. Arlen Specter (R-Pa.) recalled, each deeply involved in the issue. Obama was not one of them. But in a presidential contest involving three sitting senators, embellishment of legislative records may be an inevitability, Specter said with a shrug. --

Its ok. I understand that you can't refute the article on the basis of Obama's claim of experience so you have to resort to personal attacks. I forgive you.

        • Posted By: Alvy @ 06/24/2008 3:13:49 PM

Actually stupid, I said look at the source - the Library of Congress. And dummy, had you not run down the trail of blantancy, we'd be alright. There's already an Imus stupid.

Yes I know Obama's name is on it now... he added AFTER the bill was already proposed. He is trying to take credit for the Bill's that he didn't originate....and he has been getting away with it. Thank you for your help.

Next time you want to use words by Arlen put-a-mike-in-my-face Superbowl Grand-stander. Think twice.
Or, you can read the articles in this publication and others.
And dummy, doesn't that "attack the person, not the content" apply to you trying to massacre Obama paste baron.?

Just this week, as the financial markets were roiling in the wake of the Bear Stearns collapse, Obama made another claim that was greeted with disbelief in some corners of Capitol Hill. On March 13, Dodd, the chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, and Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.), chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, unveiled legislative proposals to allow the Federal Housing Administration to guarantee new loans from banks willing to help homeowners in or approaching foreclosure. Obama and Clinton were in Washington for a day-long round of budget voting, but neither appeared at the housing news conference.
Yet Obama on Monday appeared to seek top billing on Dodd's proposal.

"At this moment, we must come together and act to address the housing crisis that set this downturn in motion and continues to eat away at the public's confidence in the market," Obama said. "We should pass the legislation I put forward with my colleague Chris Dodd to create meaningful incentives for lenders to buy or refinance existing mortgages so that Americans facing foreclosure can keep their homes."

Dodd did say that Obama supported the bill, as does Clinton. But he could not offer pride of authorship to the candidate he wants to see in the White House next year.

"I've talked to him about it at some length," Dodd said. "When Senator Obama was there for that full day of voting, we had long conversations about it. He had excellent questions and decided to support it."

Sorry for being a copy/paste terrorist but this is relevant to this topic too. =)
Oh you want to talk about Obama's Illinois list of accomplishments?

This is from March but the MSM at the time didn't want Hillary so they left a lot of this out of the news cycle, so I forgive you for not knowing about it.

We all know that Barack Obama's US Senate accomplishments--just one bill passed--is nothing the junior senator from my state can't brag about.

But Obama's record in the Illinois State Senate is something the Cult of Change leader likes to tout.

    But were they his accomplishments?

Todd Spivak, who was a reporter for two small South Side Chicago community papers during Obama's stint representing the 13th District, is someone who knew Obama when, all things considered, he was a nobody.

Writing now for the Houston Press, Spivak recalls that Emil Jones, president of the State Senate, was Obama's starmaker.

Jones appointed Obama sponsor of virtually every high-profile piece of legislation, angering many rank-and-file state legislators who had more seniority than Obama and had spent years championing the bills.

"I took all the beatings and insults and endured all the racist comments over the years from nasty Republican committee chairmen," State Senator Rickey Hendon, the original sponsor of landmark racial profiling and videotaped confession legislation yanked away by Jones and given to Obama, complained to me at the time. "Barack didn't have to endure any of it, yet, in the end, he got all the credit.

"I don't consider it bill jacking," Hendon told me. "But no one wants to carry the ball 99 yards all the way to the one-yard line, and then give it to the halfback who gets all the credit and the stats in the record book."

During his seventh and final year in the state Senate, Obama's stats soared. He sponsored a whopping 26 bills passed into law ??? including many he now cites in his presidential campaign when attacked as inexperienced.

Bill Jacking huh? Good ole Barry.

And for all too see, stupid zero, who just two days ago wrote he really disliked the fact that people just do anything to hurt other candidates - does it again. Zero commented that Obama supporters find anything to hurt opposing candidates, and chided those supporters for their malice (good thing he didn't use the N-word like he use to) and not using relevant facts - while he compliments blatant bigots.

Thanks for this wonderful, insightful, useless intel bigot.

Dont make enemy base on religion assumption thats not a smart move as human being and economically for our beloved country.Conservative concept used to be Republican party principles but now it's been swifted us away the truth from our early days forefather declaration of Independence for this Country.
???Conservatives Without Conscience". In it he methodically cites a number of scientific studies that have researched the mind of a "conservative". Among the scariest qualities are: "Authoritarian", "situationally rational" (I.E. someone who twists reality to fit their views), "contradictory" (I. E. someone who is pro-life and pro capital punishment, pro freedom and pro Guantanimo, etc.). These people are power orienteddescribes these post-Goldwater conservatives (Newt Gingrich et.al.) as a new idieology: "Authoritarians". What's most frieghtening when you look at thier methods is that these people are closer to facist / nazi mentality than anything we have seen in America to date.

John McCain can't make up his mind where he sits on this fence. He claims to be a "Mavrick," but the only thing mavrick about John McCain is his inconsistency. Despite McCain's honors as a war verteran, the fact is that he graduated as a flunky (894 of 899) from the Naval Academy. His greatest pre-politics achievement seems to have been as a light weight boxer in his academy days. And while we can honor McCain's perseverance as a war hero, we should not forget he was shot down twice in career after only his 23 missions over Viet Nam. Experienced fighter pilots in that war flew many hundreds hundreds of missions. Some pilots often flew 3 and 4 sorties a day. By that count, McCain lasted all of a week in Viet Nam. Other than touting his war record - who is John McCain? Does he have the "smarts" and intelligence, and mental capacity to lead as president, or is he likely to be another "Bush" - puppet of the Authoritarian right?

About a week ago, it was also revealed that Ayham al-Samurai, a former Iraqi exile (now an American citizen) who had hidden out in the U.S. for 20 years, called for support of the terrorist insurgency against U.S. forces in Iraq, has contributed $2,300 to Obama???s campaign (the maximum amount allowed for an individual under the law), and is allegedly back in the Middle East raising more cash for the candidate. The former dissident ??? whose most recent U.S. residence was Chicago ??? also had dealings with Antoin Rezko, the Syrian-American who supported Obama both politically and personally, and who was recently convicted of fraud in a federal court.

A convict, that is credible? Maybe I am missing the bigger picture....enlighten us Holly why you would think his word is the gospel truth? Or are you the type of person who would visit a convict and be mesmarized and buy all the bs?

      • Posted By: HolyRoller @ 06/24/2008 6:12:09 PM

let's see....so you think a drug using, male prostitute would have a clean past??? You know better. Why do I find his story credible? I'm not certain that I do. I tend to, however. The indisputable facts are this. The openly gay choir director, Donald Young, and two other gay Trinity members were EXECUTED, in their homes. Whitehouse.com, the providers of the now infamous lie-detector, have been caught, cheating on the test, and using a fraudulent Ph.D as their analyst. Kinda strange they canceled their press conference, addressing these facts.

The fact Sinclair was arrested, with a fraudulent warrant, for charges in Delaware, adds fuel to the story. Joe Biden's son is A.G. This IS NOT GOING AWAY.

The Hussein camp is expending lots of effort and time, to discredit a supposedly ridiculous claim. And don't forget this HUGE fact. During the Rezko trial, it was revealed that Homosexual drug/sex parties were involved, in the Illinois political scene. The judge did not allow names to be revealed. Prosecutor Fitzgerald knows though. And good buddy Tony, went directly to jail, for his own safety. He is going to squeal like a pig, for the witness protection program. This is all part of one big story. And before it's all over, even PMSNBC will have to report it.

These are just a few of the reasons, I will not let go of it. It's got some credibility.

        NOBAMA!!!

p.s. just look at Hussein. He could star on Queer Eye.

Nobody wants to stop you from your opinion, but your dogma leaves questions that you don't want to answer or too afraid to answer...I think it is the latter...so go ahead, spew your bs...but there are a lot of people like myself who will call you out everytime...enjoy your Messiah Sinclair...

you asked a question, I answered it. You don't like hearing the facts. That only proves the fact, your embracing Hussein, is entirely emotional. You do not have the ability to question who he really is. You don't care. You are enamoured by him, and reality, be damned.

IT MUST FEEL GOOD TO BE A "ROOKIE" ON TOP OF THE WORLD!!!!

Get used to it, President OBAMA!!!!

Today's Gallup: "By 19- and 16-point margins, respectively, Americans are more likely to see Barack Obama rather than John McCain as better able to handle energy prices and the economy, two of the most important presidential election issues in the public's eyes at this time. Six other issues were tested in the poll, with the two candidates positioned roughly evenly on Iraq, moral values, and illegal immigration, while Obama has an edge on healthcare and taxes. McCain's only advantage is on terrorism."

Don't forget the Rasmussen Polls: "The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows Barack Obama attracting 46% of the vote while John McCain earns 40%. The Rasmussen Reports Balance of Power Calculator shows Obama leading in states with 200 Electoral College votes while McCain leads in states with 174 votes. When leaners are included, it's Obama 284, McCain 240. "

A politicians voting record says a lot about one's experience. A politicians verbal statements says a lot about one's experience. If their voting records and statements are in touch with the reality of the people, then one can stat--"This is the experience that we will vote for". On this alone, John McCain does not pass the test, he tries to go which ever way the pollitical winds blow. That is John McCain's experience. Sorry John, but you have not reformed!

    Is every Dem just retarded.

Being called stupid by you Zig, after I provided all the information to refute you idiotic claim that the UN did not support military action, makes you look more stupid. The puff is in the Iraqanalysis.org Mark. And you must be a genius unto yourself stepping into a conversation and having no idead what it is about--just because you are a Dem, and you must. I never said Dems started the Iraq war you fool. None of you people argue anything with logic or reasoning, because you belong to an empty party that has nothing but lies and insults to argure with.
I mean, just look at your own past comments. Its laughable. Name calling and snyde remarks--completely devoid of any substance at all.
The source mark is the UN itself, and you don't know me from Adam--so some trite character jab after you just jumped in makes you look the most idiotic of all.
Go back and read the posts, then follow it up with some actual research.

Unfounded insults don't make look intelligent, it makes you look simple minded

    • Posted By: Zombiehero @ 06/24/2008 4:08:20 PM

Now not all Dems, just the Kool Aid drinking ones.... and not even all them. I've had some good debates with em, ZigZug did a dine job the other night, but he had to go ad hominem too.

    • Posted By: marksgershenson @ 06/24/2008 2:39:15 AM

I wouldn't say that, but I do know your remarks make you sound that way...my friend, I have been around this particular blog all day....and then I came back after seven hours of absence, and I have read the blog,..I cannot believe the off-the-wall bs that has happened since I left this afternoon when the conversation was courteous, people respected another persons opinion, no name calling, etc....

I have communicated with many people over the last several weeks in different blogs of Newsweek and have been on this earth for 54 years... I do my research, don't take statements out of context and try to prove how right or righteous I am or a candidate is based on those beliefs...If I upset you is because I am mirroring how you sound in your postings...I think ZZ has been doing that all evening...you want to entertain reasonable discussions on any subject, I will be happy to do so too....

      • Posted By: Rametyn @ 06/24/2008 3:13:07 AM

And just so you know--we have chatted before. The only thing you have proved so far is that 1) your superior mind has not the ability to recall that conversation, and 2) though in the conversation you did concede an understanding from where I was approaching the subject matter, you failed to learn anything from it.

If you wish to engage in true, fact based, honest, intellectual discussion--I welcome your insights. However, this condesending form of oververbose assumption that because you visit the blogs, you are somehow the master of all you type will not get you far. I would have to suggest we start over, and go from that point on. Or not.

Just for the record, Saddam Hussein was over fifty when he let his country be invaded, and ulitmately was hung, though there were no WMD's to speak of. Not a smart move, I am sure you would agree. So being in the latter half of life does not always make someone wiser.

        Just a thought

        • Posted By: Alvy @ 06/24/2008 11:39:38 AM

Stupid. All you do is complain about someone not blogging your way, insulting them, blogging THEY think they are superior. Kinda hypocritical, and old HS Psyche 101. Idiot.

    • Posted By: marksgershenson @ 06/24/2008 2:43:12 AM

I will be back at some point later today....I don't want to have to mirror you, but if you insist, I will be happy to do so...so tell me, why do you have such animosity towards Obama? Food for thought....sleep on it before you come back with some off the wall rambling....

      • Posted By: Rametyn @ 06/24/2008 3:03:18 AM

Me off the wall rambling. I love the attempt at your seeming magnanomous, seeing as how you just congratulated someone for a great post, after they said AQ is as strong, or stonger in Afghanistan when there is absolutely not proof, or report, that shows such an empty claim to be true. If you wish to agree with Demorcatic perspectives because you are Democatically minded, that is your perspective; but don't think for a second that it makes you more enlightened on the matter.

What you came in on was a conversation that had degraded from taunts, and stabs, that your friend ZZ even admits to making if you read the posts further down. So please, save the ego, and the better than thou pontification. Just because I don't like being prodded, don't mistake that it for a limited minded intelligence.

Like I said, you don't know me--and you would probably be surprised.

Then again, I doubt it. People like you, who try and come off believing you are mentally superior before the conversation has even begun, have usually already lost without even realizing it.

Obama is a Marxist Jew hater and a foreign policy disaster. He set for 20 years in the pews and listened to reverend Wright and Farrakhan, is a friend of terrorists and wants to help Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas destroy the West and Israel.
Obama is a dangerous and risky combination:
He combines the worst of Presidents Bush AND Carter.

Remember Bush slogan "I am a Uniter not a Divider", a candidate full of hot air, without any history who promises a lot, and once elected delivers a disaster. At least through his actions has frightened the Arab extremists and prevented a repeat of 9/11.

Carter is the worst president that the USA ever had. He brought us an inflation rate of 20% due to his dumb economic policies, he created Iran as we know it today, controlled by the ayatollahs, he made sure that there is no peace between Israel and the Palestinians, he reduced our Military power to zero (we needed President Reagan to reverse Carters stupid icuts and naction), see who are Obama foreign policy advisors most of them are the same failures who served during the Carter administration...

Obama brings a combination of the two; he is full of hot air, chants like a Parrot ???Change??? and is expected to be a total disaster.
Obama was a disaster in every place he served as a community organizer, look at his neighborhoods in Chicago, according to his own writings: The Crime rate went up, the murder rate went up, drug use went up, the out of wedlock birthrate went up, the abortion rate went up, prostitution went up, educational achievements went down, welfare rate went up, this is what he wants to deliver to the rest of the USA.

Vote for McCain if you want your children to sleep safely at night.

Dude, you are so cracking me up. I haven't laughed this hard in a long time.

No, it's just you who is retarded.

What information are you talking about? The stuff you made up?

Maybe you're just delusional. I don't know, but you sure are funny. And here I told you humor wasn't your thing. My apologies.

Resolution 1441 - the one giving Iraq a final chance to meet U.N, disarmament provisions. That's your proof?

I like Resolution 1483, recognizing the U.S. and Britian as "occupying powers" - don't you think that term is a little odd for a U.N. authorized invasion. Oh wait, it wasn't authorized.

Or how about the draft resolutiion from Spain, the U.S. and the U.K. for the Security Council to authorize the use of force:

      http://www.casi.org.uk/info/undocs/scres/2003/20030307draft.pdf

You remember, the one that Bush promised to take to the Security Council for a vote, and then when he realized it wouldn't pass - becasue the majority of members were against it - said "wait a minute, we don't need this, we have all the authorization we need on 1441.

You are such a doofus. But you're complete denial of reality is totally cracking me up!

I don't think that McCain has realized what he is up against. Obama learned his politics in the streeets of Chicago (Daley, Emil Jones, Madigan, Resko) and has been sucking at the breast of some big time demagogues (Wright, Farrakahn, Malcolm X, Father Pglagel) all these years. Mcain better eat his Wheatties.

lol take his Centrum and Ensure for sure.... don't worry McCain seems up to the challenge. How many times has he been to Iraq? How many times has Barry? And Obama uses endless campaigning as an excuse when he makes verbal slips. I think Obama needs to start on the Ensure too.
