Trolling? Im not leaving unwanted comments at the end of others...I really havent seen any points coming from you...Just pretending to correct others...If thats your speed then go to a english for beginners forum. Then you can correct spelling errors, and feel good about it.

This is part 2...Thanks "willnotvoteobama".....Modern liberals like imported beer (with lime added), but most prefer
white wine or imported bottled water. They eat raw fish but like their
beef well done. Sushi, tofu, and French food are standard liberal fare.
Another interesting evolutionary side note: most of liberal women have
higher testosterone levels than their men.
Most social workers, personal injury attorneys, journalists, dreamers in
Hollywood and group therapists are liberals. Liberals invented the
designated hitter rule because it wasn't fair to make the pitcher also
    bat.
Conservatives drink domestic beer. They eat red meat and still provide for
their women. Conservatives are big-game hunters, rodeo cowboys,
lumberjacks, construction workers, firemen, medical doctors, police
officers, corporate executives, athletes, Marines, and generally anyone
who works productively. Conservatives who own companies hire other
conservatives who want to work for a living.
Liberals produce little or nothing. They like to govern the producers and
decide what to do with the production. Liberals believe Europeans are more
enlightened than Americans. That is why most of the liberals remained in
Europe when conservatives were coming to America. They crept in after the
Wild West was tamed and created a business of trying to get more for
    nothing.
Here ends today's lesson in world history.......
It should be noted that a liberal may have a momentary urge to angrily
respond to the above before forwarding it.
A conservative will simply laugh and be so convinced of the absolute truth
of this history that it will be forwarded immediately to other true
believers, and to more liberals...just to piss them off.
    Have a great day!

Do you send your kids out to jeer at other kids they don't like and laugh in their faces, too?

I think that used to be called "bullying". People don't even put up with the way you're acting in grade school. You'd get taken right over somebody's knee until you learned to grow up.

Good news; and I hope it catches more terrorists and their ilk.

Any plan that has all the anti-American leftist liberals up in arms must be a good plan. In fact, that is really the litmus test; if the left-wing bloggers on Newsweak and the ACLU (American Communist Leftover Union) are up in arms, then it must be a very good plan indeed.

    • Posted By: TheVigil @ 06/28/2008 6:45:35 PM

I thought the Red Scare was over. You got a picture of Eugene McCarthy up on your wall or something?

It's unfortunate that a lot of conservatives these days define themselves in terms of opposition to liberal thinking. Heaven forbid we all up and disappear one day and leave you to try to think for yourselves.

  • Posted By: observer101 @ 06/25/2008 8:34:16 PM

It goes back to saying.."If you arent doing anything wrong then there is nothing to worry about"...Only ppl who have something to hide have any real problem with this plan. Most of you who oppose this idea dont have any problem what "reality" t.v. or those ignorant camera up the movie stars butt at home shows....And you certainly dont have a problem with it if a criminal, child abductor, or thief that just swiped your car gets caught on one of those "BIG BROTHER CAMS"...So what the problem with this. Technology and the internet allows this to be possible.... Most ppl were scared of bar code scanners when those came out at grocery stores...and the little rf tags for tracking cargo, or the mag strips inside of merchandise that go off if you dont pay at walmart...The only ppl that have to worry are the wrong doers and the just as criminal lawyers that protect them when its a shut case because there client is on camera...the real losers are the thieves

I've heard this argument before, and it's very simplistic and naive. Not every law on the books is fair, just, and equitable to all concerned. Also, once the precedent is set, it's hard to undo. Once power is given to the central authorities, it's very hard to get that power out of the hands of the authorities if someone unethical or unscrupulous comes to power.

Besides which, I think you're giving WAY too much credit to the government, which is a very human institution made of very human people. Remember, slavery was once legal in this country, and people who fought against it could be legally killed. If it were still legal today, would you still support this law because anyone who opposes some policies of the government is a "wrongdoer"?

      • Posted By: observer101 @ 06/28/2008 5:33:26 PM

There are checks and balances in todays society...The government wont get away with anything they want as long as there is someone from the media to the insides of government. There will always be a whistleblower and the higher ups in politics wont be able to get away with wrongdoing for long if thats there intentions....There is always pros and cons to every plan...Right now the benefits outweigh the risk of having another terrorist attack...Way better safe than to be sorry that we couldnt do what was needed to avert another attack. Or SEE it coming if you will.

        • Posted By: TheVigil @ 06/28/2008 6:15:04 PM

Like there was a whistleblower in the subprime mortgage debacle, or the early days at Enron, or when we started to abrogate the Geneva convention in the Iraq war?

Whistleblowers blow whistles on isolated occasions. It's not very often, especially since the whistleblower is usually fired with no guarantee of landing on his/her feet financially. And today's media is often quite politically affiliated; Roger Ailes who's president of Fox News was Nixon's campaign manager and also did work for both Bush campaigns.

Quite honestly, I doubt these cameras are going to do a thing. The major part of terrorist planning happens outside the U.S., or in private homes away from cameras. As far as I know, the 9/11 attackers trained completely in either Afghanistan - where this won't help any more than it already does - or within the apartments of the hijackers, practicing on offline flight simulators.

Kurosa...Your point is well taken...liberals are the ones that really do nothing to acheive anything but expects everything. They produce nothing to society but they expect to regulate those who do produce....They will ask for groups hugs but specify the only correct way to hug...if you hug any other way then you were molested as a child and need more "correct" group hugs and therapy...They are a sick lot, and we can all thank them for there effortless work of producing nothing, and regulating regulations they regulated...lol

  • Posted By: kurosawaquilter @ 06/28/2008 11:50:05 AM

Some people of the conservative type believe if the "left" liberals are upset about something, that means it's worth doing. This is dented logic. It is always possible for someone you disagree with to have a point, to be right about something. That is why you listen to others. To hear differing views and bounce your own off them. To sit like a rock and wait to see if the liberals like something (so it must be bad) or dislike something (so it must be good) is reasoning in a very limited capacity. You should be open to ideas, and consider them for their own worth regardess of who else likes or dislikes them. We all do have a brain. We all can think for ourselves. And we can all benefit from the ideas of others--even those who disagree. And it doesn't even hurt to listen or learn. Try it, those of you who let others' do your thinking.

Hmmm nins...Suppose an angelic, never fibbing, perfect, pure white lighted dem was president at the time of 9/11...Would the taliban, osama, and muslim extremists all bowed down to there all mighty godly U.S. dem president and ask for forgiveness...Or would we be kicking down doors trying to find these fanatics that have every intentions of wiping us off the face of the earth with there ideals...Having the technology that we have now would still be used to try and find or weed out these elements..So always refer to Bush as a warmonger or war criminal is just plan stupid....Truth has been out for a while now that this 9/11 bit was planned well into Clintons watch....He was just busy with other things like molesting interns and then lying to the very country he was supposed to represent...Whose the real criminal?....the liar who let this imminent threat turn into what it did or the one who got to business and is doing something otherthan zipping up his pants in the oval office? p.s. I dont recall any impeachment proceedings on any other U.S. pres in my life time...do you?

WE LIVE IN A COUNTRY WHERE PEOPLE WOULD RATHER BE NUKED THEN TORTURE SOMEONE TO FIND THE LOCATION OF THE NUKE FOR CHRIST SAKE?

    • Posted By: Nins @ 06/26/2008 4:31:03 PM

Fat Joe, i can only agree with Vigil and Cece in saying that you are ALL WET.

America stands for liberty and JUSTICE, not for torture and Big Brother's communist eyes watching you at all times. Just because Dubya Bush has broken every law and used the existence of terrorism to justify his criminal actions, don't make those actions right.. In fact, using terrorism to fight terrorism turns you into a TERRORIST.

      • Posted By: FATJOEY @ 06/27/2008 8:16:16 AM

SHEEEEEEEEEEP BAAAAA BAAAAAAAAAAA ALL OF YOU

      • Posted By: TheVigil @ 06/26/2008 4:40:01 PM

        Amen.

"When the ends justify the means, the means have usually by then become the ends." Fighting terror with terror just escalates the fear and anger on both sides. President Bush and about half the Army are stuck wanting to fight World War II over again. They don't understand asymmetrical warfare - exactly the kind projected to become the majority of violent conflict over the next century - one bit, and it's hurt the entire situation. People are going to have to become quite familiar with the tactics, methods, practices, and ideologies of occupation and resistance, or else both occupation AND resistance are going to occur with increasing frequency and horror.

    • Posted By: cece.borjeson @ 06/26/2008 4:05:50 PM

      Dear Fat Joey:
Christ wouldn't torture. He WAS tortured. I find that a totally inappropriate expression in the context of your message... and the context of this discussion. Turn off Rush & Fox once in a while & get educated.

    • Posted By: TheVigil @ 06/26/2008 3:56:20 PM

      1. Torture rarely results in good police or government intelligence. When torture is employed, prisoners will frequently give fraudulent confessions, or say or do anything to get the torture to stop. The anti-terrorist organizations who use actual police techniques usually have the best intelligence.

      2. None of the people being tortured or waterboarded at Guantanamo Bay have shown any evidence that there is a nuclear program of any kind. Most terrorists have guns, roadside bombs, and other weapons of warfare circa around 1900 or so (with possibly a slight edge on that due to the prevalence of the AK-47).

      3. For the love of God, turn off your caps lock. And quit believing everything that's told to you.

Thanks, millerm84. I got to thinking about it and I believe that a limber person could add the three finger gesture along with the moon to the camera. Maybe even a double. "Smile, you're on government camera". If only there were an extra spot on the November ballot to vote to erase the past eight years of the Executive office of this place. Can't have everything, I guess.

    • Posted By: RetiredMarine @ 06/26/2008 10:44:09 AM

Are you really stupid enough to believe that this didn't exist before Bush was in office?????

      • Posted By: youheardithere1st @ 06/26/2008 5:18:47 PM

how about erasing the last 16 years, clinton was just as bad.

  • Posted By: scaredstiff @ 06/26/2008 11:37:07 AM

Let's see -- I believe I heard huge amounts of whining after 9-11 that "the GOVERNMENT didn't do enough to protect us". Now there is whining about losing our freedoms. You probably can't have it both ways. If want freedoms, be prepared to protect yourself. Quit whining. If you think Bush is infringing on your freedoms just wait till the socialists -- oops --- I mean, democrats take over. I'm moving illegally to Mexico, HaHaHa--

    • Posted By: Nins @ 06/26/2008 4:33:09 PM

Wonderful, Scared, Mexico will welcome you, and guess what? You can get your job back, the one that was shipped overseas after NAFTA. But, uh oh, now they only pay $4.00 and hour, and no benefits. That beans and rice dish three times a day sure tastes good. Hope you enjoy it.

      • Posted By: TheVigil @ 06/26/2008 4:50:46 PM

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if the beans and rice constitute a healthier diet than we've got going in the U.S. these days on average, and maybe taste better. I've had some tasty, tasty beans and rice cooked by some Mexican-American friends.

    • Posted By: summer4077 @ 06/26/2008 1:36:49 PM

Uh, I know a LOT of people, not just Dems, who think that while 9/11 was tragic and there were missteps, it could have happened anyway. Terrorism is going to happen, no matter what steps you have in place to prevent it. Honestly, I don't blame the government for what happened. It was an act of terror that killed those people, not the government. Even if they had tied everything together beforehand, it may still have happened...and if not there, somewhere else.

    • Posted By: TheVigil @ 06/26/2008 1:16:19 PM

Bon voyage. You wouldn't be missed.

  • Posted By: youheardithere1st @ 06/26/2008 10:47:56 AM

as a true consevative i don't like this idea. the neocons' have ruined the constitution. some of you are against this because bush is for it, and if the dems thought the idea up you would be behind it. strange that true liberals are against [ for the wrong reason] , but one takes support where one can find it. just remeber liberals, when obama is [if] elected, that you were against it. obama may say hes against it now, but he has already broken his word on some matters. be against it for the right reason, not because bush is for it.

    • Posted By: Nins @ 06/26/2008 4:35:05 PM

The reason to be against this isn't because you are a Democrat or a liberal. The reason to be against it is because you are an AMERICAN.

I'm a Republican who is fed up with what Bush has done to our once proud nation. Disgusting.

    • Posted By: FATJOEY @ 06/26/2008 11:16:05 AM

if in PUBLIC you act right you have nothing to be concerned with? hell yes i want all people in PUBLIC to be watched,by street cameras and sattelites if need be!!

      • Posted By: TheVigil @ 06/26/2008 1:22:46 PM

You might get your wish. I just hope it's everything you think it's cracked up to be

And "youheardithere1st" is completely correct - there was a time when conservativism stood for *less* government interference in our lives, and less tax spending on programs like this. Bush has really run rampant against a good deal of what the conservative base used to stand for.

  • Posted By: valadezaj @ 06/25/2008 10:34:37 PM

I hope we get a spy satellite tracking Obama. I bet we'd catch him at a secret terrorist meeting.

    • Posted By: Johnsonium @ 06/26/2008 12:15:20 AM

We have a group that would have discovered that by now. The press corps that follows him around 24/7.

      • Posted By: TheVigil @ 06/26/2008 4:34:08 PM

Yeah, you don't need a spy satellie if you've got the Washington press corps on your butt. They probably have fifty cameras and ten Secret Service people on him from the time he wakes up until he goes to bed at night.

Presidential candidates generally can't void their bladders without ten cameras and an annoying reporter stepping in. You're firmly in the realm of fantasy, and Tom Clancy novels, when you start betting on terrorist plots conducted by major U.S. presidental candidates, friend.

  • Posted By: olderwiser @ 06/25/2008 10:04:01 PM

I'm trying to figure out whether, if the camera is directly overhead, I am too old and stiff to bend far enough over to moon the camera. Then, if I can't bend that far over, whether they might be able to see the gesture that I am sending with three of my fingers. This government might as well be a voyeur, too, while it is screwing up. Only a little time left, but I'm sure that they'll manage to screw something else up before they leave. It's a shame that it has to be our privacy. I want someone to open a concession at the Bush library after it opens where we can pay fifty cents to pee on the wall. He'll make a fortune. I want to be his first customer.

    • Posted By: millerm84 @ 06/26/2008 8:36:24 AM

You, my friend, are now my new hero, i suggest mass mooning it would have certian shock effect to be watching from the sky then *bam* couple thousand rectums smiling at them!

      • Posted By: TheVigil @ 06/26/2008 4:21:16 PM
