In mathematics John McCain is TOAST , GOP Bush/MCSame are just a catastrophe in American History theory ,same like Katrina tornado, hurricane that strucks american cities like,Iowa,Illnois,Missouri,Kansas,Tennese,Indiana, many states that share same sad stories, because GOP a bunch of bifurcation theory of the failed dynamical systems ; it is also a particular special case of more general singularity theory in Nazi geometry . Bifurcation NAZI theory studies and classifies phenomena characterized by sudden shifts in behavior arising from small changes in circumstances, analysing how the qualitative nature of equation solutions depends on the parameters that appear in the equation of GOP.
The reality is that there are no "consequences" to saying that you'll vote for Barack Obama in June. In November, however, voters have to seriously consider: Who will keep my family safe? Who's got experience? Who's been tested? That's a contest McCain can win and where Obama's message of "change" seems rather irrelevant.
You really have been brainwashed by the fear and terror tactics of the current regime.
Yeah, and you aren't brainwashed - you think 9-11 was an inside job & Muslims are "moderate" if we just let them destroy Israel they'll leave us alone. And you think windmills can replace gasoline. Keep eating those Froot-Loops.
love that comment fixit. it truly demonstrates these folks desire to bury their heads to this threat. "if we dont think about it then it will go away" Children, they need to get new coloring books.
NObama!!!
vote for Mccain He sucks less!
Dont you works on Substances rather being Blinded GOP Pro-life?You just like the Monks in Vietnam,Nods their Head all days , without concern what's happening to many Americans that suffers in Pain due to many awful catastrophe incidents around the Country cause by poor administration Policy. We needs proper Infrastruture in the Country not meanless expensive War.So Better wake up!
No, actually I don't think 9-11 was an inside job. Everyone knows it was master minded by Bin Laden, who definitely isn't a moderate. Windmills can't replace gasoline. A combination of nuclear, solar, wind, water, and other alternative fuels will though. One day, in a perfect world, where violent knuckledraggers like you are are gone...
Schlang ,for Your own good Knowledge and Education purposes I would like to explains why Sen Obama having the double lead over MCcain....not just like your "Walk of Rubbish Talk" without substance as many GOP pro-life have proven themselves excatly sign the blank chek without asking the reasons. His first year in the U.S. Senate, he authored 152 bills and co-sponsored another 427. These inculded 1.
1. **the Coburn-Obama Government Transparency Act of 2006 - became law,
2.**The Lugar-Obama Nuclear Non-proliferation and Conventional Weapons Threat Reduction Act, - became law,
3.**The Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act, passed the Senate,
4.**The 2007 Government Ethics Bill, - became law,
5. **The Protection Against Excessive Executive Compensation Bill, In committee, and many more.
In all, since entering the U.S. Senate, Senator Obama has written 890 bills and co-sponsored another 1096.
An impressive record, for someone who supposedly has no record according to some who would prefer that this comparison not be made public.
He's not just a talker.
He's a doer.
Political appeals, even if rooted in religious convictions, must be argued on moral grounds rather than as sectarian religious demands--so that the people (citizens), whether religious or not, may have the capacity to hear and respond. Religious convictions must be translated into moral arguments, which must win the political debate if they are to be implemented. Religious people don't get to win just because they are religious. They, like any other citizens, have to convince their fellow citizens that what they propose is best for the common good-- for all of us and not just for the religious.
"CHANGE... IS WHAT THE "WISE" DO WHEN THEY HAVE REALIZED THAT, THEIR WAYS HAVE NOT BEEN PROFITABLE" - Danny Moss, Nations Special Advisor, 2008
Well, well, well... I see that the President's Detractors are in full, TYPICAL and Shameless function... As one who loves America and cherishes, what she stands for... I would be remiss not to inform, the less enlightened brethren (and I use that term loosely) that, it is to their benefit, to repent, of their harmful and divisive rhetoric. Should they be continually blessed, to exercise their 1st Amendment Rights (as guaranteed by the Constitution), it most certainly should take place in forums, such as newsweek.com... It is surely important for the sensible portion of this Blog's Readers to be able to ascertain, just who, could possibly be a threat to President OBAMA, Society-at-Large or to themselves. With this observation noted; please begin to identify, those suspicious characters that, go to all stops to denounce MR. OBAMA, those who use racial hatred, threats of violence and bigotry in order to instill fear, anger, hatred, jealousy, envy as well as those who fabricate facts and then, intentionally misrepresent such, as to being truthful and trustworthy... IN REGARD TO THOSE WHO WOULD HAVE, WAR FOR PEACE, CHAOS AB ORDO AND DANGEROUS ILLUSIONS FOR THOUGHTFUL REALITY, SO MARK THESE AND BE MINDFUL OF THEIR WORDS...
FOR, IN THIS NEW DAY, THOSE THAT SHALL TAKE PRIDE AND SOLICE IN DISTUBING THE PEACE AND HINDERING THE PROSPERITY OF THE WHOLE, WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PERPETUATE THEIR HATE-MONGERING, WAR-MONGERING AND WHOREMONGERING. SOME OF THESE WILL MOST CERTAINLY NEED TO BE BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE NEW HOMELAND SECURITY...
Because...
THE NEXT SIGNIFICANT THREAT TO HIT THIS COUNTRY WILL COME FROM SOME OF THE MALEVOLENT INDIVIDUALS THAT TAKE PLEASURE IN AN AMERICA THAT ISN'T EQUAL, ENTERPRISING NOR EMPATHETIC TOWARD, ALL OF HER CITIZENS...
Enter sleeping giant... stage WRIGHT;)
DO REMEMBER TO VOTE...
Why the Poll show double digits of Obama, let show you why, because there's plenty "NUTS" out there.
Obama Impressive Senate Record.

I am an independant and I live in Illinois, I don't like either candidate running for president, and even I know this is not true.
NOW YOUR POLISHING HIS RESUME!!! STICK TO POLISHING HIS KNOB!!!!! DUMBASS WE KNOW THAT *** YOU POSTED IS NOT TRUE !!!
Mr. Fineman, I generally enjoy your commentary and find you to be even-handed. Wish I could say the same for Newsweek which doesn't even seem to try to appear impartial anymore. This magazine is generally only worth reading for the laughs (like that silly article a couple days ago that suggested Obama has more experience than McCain). Your article seems to take issue with the opposition's suspicion of the accuracy of Newsweek's polls. Newsweek has only itself to blame. It could be that the poll is entirely accurate but no serious person would take it at face value given the source.
If you find Fineman "even-handed", you're gullible beyond belief.
I'm being nice. Compared to Eleanor Clift and the rest of the toadies at Newsweek, Fineman is best there is and is at least a gentleman.
Boy, that's the truth: every time I read Eleanor Clift, I wonder if she can stop gushing for the political left long enough to write her column. In fact, I usually get half-way through, wonder why I'm bothering reading propaganda, and promise myself not to get sucked into another of her columns. Occasionally I fall for a good headline....
There's nothing wrong with having an opinion, but if you're going to write for a national publication that is supposedly a news magazine, then try to write news rather than editorial. Even a good editorial makes an effort to fairly consider both sides. Without balance, your opinion isn't well-reasoned, it's just blind prejudice.
OK you dummys try to follow: Eleanor Clift is an opinion writer (not an everyday writer), her job is to give opinions on the issues of the day. Much like George Will. Yes, she is a liberal, and gives liberal opinions in her pieces. Guess what? Will is a conservative and gives conservative opinions in his pieces, Duh, Homer. It's called trying to offer balanced views. Why is it that conservatives get all upset if their narrow points of view are challenged?
George Will and Eleanor Clift aren't even on the same intellectual plane. I've read George when he's quite critical of many conservatives. I've yet to read Eleanor be nearly as balanced when analyzing "her own."
Let's see if YOU can try to follow: there's a difference in being an opinion writer who often sees things from one side, and being an apologist.
Nobody's upset about Eleanor having an opinion and challenging the Right; she's just so blantantly got her blinders on that you can't hardly stand to listen to her. Rush is just a bad in the other direction. He isn't challenging my point of view; he's just making my point of view look bad by being so lock-step.

NewWeak says it all, an untrustworthy propaganda rag.
Obama prez, Senate and House in Democrats hands AND 2 more liberal judges, be afraid, be very afraid. The consitution would be fair game. Their goes individual right.
Theoretically there should be no such thing as a liberal or conservative judge. All should be impartial constitutional experts
I agree, but EVERYONE has their own bias. No one is total neutral. Life experence sees to that.
If judges cannot be impartial then our entire constitution should be discarded and we should start over. We count on judges to be impartial. If we are nominating judges for political reasons, than we are not living up to the expectations of our forefathers

Of course he does'nt! Remember this is the same magazine that predicted that Walter Mondale would beat Ronald Regan! Newsweek is a liberal magazine and so is the LA Times. The latest Gallup poll shows them tied! This is just the media's attempt to brain wash people with this proprganda garbage! HELLO WE'RE NOT BUYING IT!!!!!!!!!!!! Better luck next time...
McCain is a good guy however he promotes misguided policies. THE BIGGEST BEING THE IRAQ WAR.
JUST LIKE HILLARY HE JUST DOESN"T GET IT. THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WANT OUT OF IRAQ. THE IRAQ WAR IS WHAT GAVE OBAMA A VICTORY IN IOWA. McCAIN is going to get SMOKED in this election unless he changes his stance on IRAQ.
"NO AMERICAN LIFE IS WORTH IRAQI FREEDOM.
ANYONE WHO DISAGREES IS NOT A REAL AMERICAN" eddiewhere 2008
There is this argument out there that I hear our troops repeating over and over agian. WE CANNOT LEAVE UNTIL THE JOB IS DONE WE CANNOT LET OUR BROTHERS DIE IN VAIN.
NOW THAT IS REAL BUL****. THAT STATEMENT IS GOVERNMENT IDEOLOGY AND NOT MILITARY IDEOLOGY.
COLIN POWELL SAID IT BEST. DEFINE YOUR MISSION CLEARLY SET YOUR OBJECTIVES AND USE OVERWHELMING FORCE AKA SHOCK AND AWE to accomplish your mission.
WE HAVE NO CLEAR AGENDA and NO CLEAR OBJECTIVES. WE ARE NOT SURE. SO HOW ON EARTH CAN WE JUSTIFY THE LOSS OF MORE AMERICAN LIVES. AS LONG AS WE STAY IN IRAQ YOUNG AMERICANS WILL CONTINUE TO DIE IN VAIN. WE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE HAVE MADE OUR POINT VERY CLEAR. WE ARE SICK OF IRAQ AND WE ARE SICK OF OUR DEPENDENCY ON MIDDLE EASTERN OIL.
OBAMA WILL BE THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.
THE LAST FALLACY I WANT TO ADDRESS IS THAT THE SURGE IS WORKING.
THIS ARGUMENT IS SO CRAZY THAT IT IS HARD TO EXPLAIN.
SURGE means temporary. OUR TROOPS PRESENCE IN THAT COUNTRY OF IRAQ IS THE MAIN REASON FUNDAMENTALIST HAVE FOR ATTACKING US.
WE NEED A PRESIDENT THAT WILL DO WHAT IS BEST FOR AMERICA NOT WHAT IS BEST FOR IRAQ.
THE LATEST FALLACY IS THAT WE SHOULD STAY UNTIL WE WIN. WE HAVE ALREADY LOST.ESPECIALLY THE AMERICAN TAX PAYER and those poor AMERICAN SOLDIERS WHO LOST THEIR LIFE FOR NO LEGITIMATE REASON. THE BLIND JUST CANNOT SEE THAT.
THERE IS ONE CLEAR WINNER IN THIS WAR, HALLIBURTON AND OTHER PRIVATE CONTRACT FIRMS WHO FUNNELED BILLIONS OF DOLLARS, WITH THE HELP OF DICK CHENEY, FROM THE AMERICAN TAX PAYER.
LAUTENBERG REPORT CHECK IT OUT.
YES OBAMA DOES HAVE BIG LEAD AND IT WILL GET EVEN BIGGER BECAUSE McCAIN WANTS TO STAY IN IRAQ.
Hey Ed! Who are you to say that those who disagree with you are not "Real Americans"? I don't see any indication that you have sacrificed anything more than maybe a few bucks. My father gave his life for this country and he would roll over in his grave if he knew that America is once again going to run away rather than standing up for what is right and coming out victorious. Is it a coincedence that America started losing wars about the time that the liberal media started showing up on the scene? - I don't think so. McCain, unlike Obama, wants to ensure that we not only don't come out of this situation a bunch of losers, but also wants to leave the Iraqi people safer and more secure than we found them. If no one was ever willing to sacrifice for our freedom, where would we be?
Ummm... 4astrongamerica what freedom am I gaining from American troops dying in a country that has never ever attacked us?
Dude (WillnotvoteObama): Obama has won already. Get over it. McCain represents extinct thinking. He's just a good sport to hang in and see this election through. He's just another Dole.
Obama is our next POTUS, mark my words. And it's about time!
Regardless of who you support, making predictions like that are very dangerous. Dismissing someone who doesnt't agree with you and making Obama out to be the president elect will only furthers dissenters' opinions that Obama and his supporters are arrogant.
"...you think that Bush has no more supporters? you are very mistaken."
--amendment2man, maybe you can explain something to me: It seems to me that Democrats (I do not count myself as one, I'm more of an indepedant, but I am voting for Obama) don't keep standing behind their losers. For instance, when Jimmy Carter showed his true colors, I and most others dropped him like a hot rock. Why do many hard-core republicans stand behind the certain Worst President Ever, a man who has made such a historic, hideous mess of his administration, the country and the free world that it will take decades to recover, if ever. Can you explain it to me? I'm not being facetious, I'd really like to understand. Thanks.
oh BTW his approval rating is still better than the Dem congress. Im not the only one.

Maybe its because we know it took the republicans to get us out of Carters mess.
Maybe its because we know Bush handled the situation we were put in the best way that could have been.
After all a president isn't your personal baby sitter.
Its all a matter of relativity and dealing with a known quantity. With Bush I know what we have and what to expect. His capabilities in terms of the powers of the president are really not bad. I support staying in Iraq to finish the fight. finish what you start othewise the backlash will be worse than ever. I do believe that the radical muslims hate us and use us for a scapegoat for all their ills real or imagined.
There is nothing wrong with a tough stand on these matters and i do not feel that the media created negativity is all justified. Iraq shows real progress at this point. Iran is a real threat at this point. terrorists organizations such as hamas and hezbollah continue to try to be the tail that wags the dog. One day they will get their hands on a true WMD and we have to be prepared for it.
I am not saying that Bush is the greatest or best but it is what I have to work with at this point and the offerings for Nov. are not that sterling at all in my opinion. Mccain is the logical choice for me at this point yet he was not my first choice as he really is not as strong as I would like to see. In contrast to Obama who I see as Inexperienced (#1) not well versed in negotiation and world politics-very weak approach(2) and unbeleivably arrogant in his lack of substance and actual action plan as well as his belief that he is so qualified. Charisma and promises do not make a good leader(see history lessons ie: Hitler as a remote example)
Thank you for a cogent and rational explanation. That does help me understand this point of view.
Just because the polls are in Senator Obama's favor, now they are going to be disputed because the Republicans don't like it. Well, the people are tired of the Republican and Bush years. What a mess it has gotten us in.

What mess? Oh, you mean no recession, low interest rates, no more attacks on the homeland?
Or are you refering to the stupid people that don't know how to read a mortgage application, the senators (dem) who got sweet heart loan deals, and we tax payers get to bail out CW to the tune of 28 billion.
Right, sure, Its Bushes fault. Jeez.
you all keep calling Mccain Mcsame. this will eventually help him. its convincing me more to vote for him everytime iI hear it. It reflects the arrogance of the obama campaign and its supporters. you think that Bush has no more supporters? you are very mistaken.
Bush's approval rating hovers between 17-19%. You are very mistaken if you think Bushy's fans are going to get McCain't elected.

Well, you can be darned sure the Bush fans won't be voting for Obama. They will vote McCain to be agaisnt Obommma
I agree. I was a democrat all my life but now will be voting for John McCain. I am so sick of the disgusting Obama voters and their name-calling. The more they do it the stronger is my determination to help John McCain get elected. Obama's minions have learned well from their supposed master of "change". They call everybody who doesn't like him a racist, they denigrate anybody running against him just like Obama did to Hillary Clinton. If that is an example of his change count me out.
War minded Presidents breed more of the same. Do things the way we want or we'll threaten you, We'll force you to comply. That's been our countries problem for too many years and that's why more and more countries of the world hate us. Even some countries that have been our allies for years are having second thoughts about us. How many more wars do we have to have before our leaders wake up and lead from a strength that comes from an intelligent mind, and not fight first think about the consequences later. Mr. McCain knows war. That's been what everyone says is his crowning achievement. That's the comparison that comes closest to the Bush policies for me. Win at all costs through brute force. I'm a Repuplican that is so very tired of war-war-war. That seems to be my parties theme for way to long. Now my party is looking to put someone in office who is not only another war minded President but also one that has a temper issue. The countries of world know it, our allies know it, and I'm terrified for our future because of it. My husband and I will be voting for Mr. Obama.

Any strong president should have a temper. Some one has to knock some sense into these dim wits heads.
HERE WE GO AGAIN...
"SHAREBOOZE", I'M SORRY, "SHARENEWS", HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN DETERMINED TO BE A JOHN MC'CAINT STAFFER...
THIS NEWSFLASH JUST IN... JOHNNY "THE HUMBLE WAR HERO...PSSSSS" MC'CAINT'S MOTHER WAS OVER HEARD SAYING THAT, "IF JOHN WASN'T MY SON; I'D SURELY VOTE FOR OBAMA"...
Now if John Mc'Caint's own MOTHER thought that Barack reminded her of Kennedy then don't ya think that he is naturally the best suited for the job...
SHAREOURFEELINGSFORBARACKHOBAMA... VOTE OBAMA '08
O Team, Just in case you are not aware, I am not for McCain nor am I for Obama at this point. But depending on what people post in these blogs, I may respond in support of the underdog. Just consider me the devils advocate to bring a different perspective or opinion with supporting info whenever I can in these blogs.
