WITH HILLBILLY SUPPORTERS, WITH THE NAME OF "ZOMBIE"...

WHAT DO YOU THINK THAT HILL-BABY'S CAMPAIGN WAS GOING TO BE???

    D-O-A

    D*CK-RIDING OBAMA'S ADMINISTRATION

for a Bride's Maid Appointment... HILL-BILLY DOESN'T EVEN DESERVE ANY APPOINTMENT... IT WOULD BE HORRIBLE IF SHE RAN INTO RFK's ASSASSIN... :( LET'S HOPE THAT SHE DOESN'[T RUN INTO ANY AMERICAN WHO, IS DERANGED AND WHO TOTALLY LOATHS HER... AND JUST SO HAPPENS TO REMEMBER THE PAIN THAT SHE HAD CAUSED, OUR LEADER AND CHIEF, MR. OBAMA... SHE COULD END-UP WITH A REALLY BAD DAY...

    • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 06/29/2008 9:05:57 PM

You're not being fair to Zombie. Please do not post offensive comments about him and other Hillary supporters. He has a right to support Hillary. I am a diehard Obama supporter but I don't trash Hillarys or McCain supporters. I try not to post anything offensive about Hils or Mac either. I suggest you be kind and do the same, because at the end of the day we all need to get together and get along, respect one another and our candidates as we Americans are known to do, for one purpose only, to unite the country. United we stand, divided we fall.

      • Posted By: Zombiehero @ 06/30/2008 4:01:35 PM

You see what I mean though? Obama's people, not you, keep fanning the flames...and you wonder why there is no unity in the Democratic party. Why do you think all those anti Obama dem blogs are sprouting up everywhere?

        • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 06/30/2008 5:31:31 PM

Z, I think you are overeacting about Obama people fanning the flames. There may be a few here but that is not the majority. There is no reason for us to fan the flames....we are confident that our candidate will win in Nov.

          • Posted By: Zombiehero @ 06/30/2008 7:13:04 PM

Nope there are more than just a few...they are going to lose this election for Obama....well he also sucks but that's besides the point?

            • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 06/30/2008 7:41:07 PM

Now how did I know you had replied to my post? A woman's intuition and my intuition also tells me that Obama wins in Nov. Obama supporters are not going to lose the election for him. We are going to get him elected! Oh, and I am going to ignore your nasty comment about Obama because I'm in no mood to fight you this evening. Make a note though, that I have never posted anything demeaning about John McCain.

              • Posted By: Zombiehero @ 06/30/2008 10:33:54 PM

Um yeah you have. I've seen it you went on a nasty spree last week with A.

                • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 06/30/2008 11:09:39 PM

Z, I went on a nasty spree with A on McCain last week? I don't recall that. What article please?

  • Posted By: dreffein @ 06/28/2008 2:44:15 PM

To Obama supporters - for all of you who take HRC supporters' votes for granted or think we'll all come around, check out the article in the Washington Post. I'm not alone.
    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/06/26/AR2008062604162.html?hpid=topnews

    • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 06/29/2008 11:34:47 AM

Dref, we don't take any HRC supporters for granted. We do value you very much, but if we can't convince you to support Obama, we are not going to beg you.

      • Posted By: Zombiehero @ 06/29/2008 2:55:21 PM

Correction. You don't take them for granted.

        • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 06/29/2008 4:43:46 PM

Zombie, I appreciate that, but how can you be so sure I am the only one? I don't take you or any of the others for granted and there are many more Obama supp. who don't.

          • Posted By: Zombiehero @ 06/29/2008 5:21:18 PM

Oh you did take us for granted at one point too. Remember when you kept saying that Obama didn't need to win PA in the GE, after he lost the primary? But like I said you appologized.

But there is a lot of buzz on the internets about how bad Obama bloggers are...

            • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 06/29/2008 6:47:51 PM

I probably did say that about PA, not 100% certain. The thing of it is, Z, Obama may even win without Pa.

              • Posted By: Zombiehero @ 06/30/2008 4:04:52 PM

But what about all those HRC people that are gonna vote for McCain or write in her name this year? You saw those link...people like "o team" are what's going to cause Obama to fail.

                • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 06/30/2008 5:34:19 PM

I doubt this very much. The Dems are going to support Obama in Nov. You should do the same. Hillary would want you to. Do you want to disappoint her? Do you really believe Hillary wants McCain to win? If so, you are def. out of touch with reality.

    • Posted By: chindognyc @ 06/28/2008 4:03:36 PM

I don't think we would want you. You sound like an angry person who just didn't get his or her way. I keep telling you, please vote for McCain and please just tell the people that have men and women in Iraq that you voted to keep them there for no reason and that you pray that they will still be alive. You just don't make any sense. At least I'm voting to make this country better. We are a joke in the world's eye. You want to keep it that way because you are bitter.

      • Posted By: dreffein @ 06/28/2008 5:40:06 PM

chindognyc - that's great because I have NO desire to be part of what you're doing. I will not vote McCain but will write in HRC. And, sounds like you and Obama are on the same page - calling anyone who doesn't support him "bitter" Where are all your Obama pals like Kboogie, Alvy, Tired and Old, Loriew, etc. Sounds like the haters no longer are can handle the truth..

        • Posted By: jimbo3800 @ 06/29/2008 1:18:32 AM

Good point, where the heck is Alvy and Beachcomber? I so miss smacking them around. Maybe Tired & Old is just too tired....and old.

          • Posted By: Zombiehero @ 06/29/2008 6:37:24 AM

            Alvy ran away crying.

            • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 06/29/2008 8:14:53 AM

No he didn't, Zombie! I don't wanna have to smack you now so don't post this about my 'online boyfriend' as you once put it. I know him, you don't. He's an exceptional man.

              • Posted By: jimbo3800 @ 06/29/2008 9:25:44 AM

So, was Alvy your 'online boyfriend'? How can I achieve that status? Except maybe toss out the 'online' part?

                Sigh...

Alvy means a lot to me and always will. I am missing him.

Jim, you are so sweet. I do appreciate your attention but I don't know you well enough yet.

                  • Posted By: jimbo3800 @ 06/29/2008 11:42:29 AM

Hmmm, there are ways to fix that!

Okay Jim. I'm going to be nice so I will reply to your post. What ways? Except for several posts between us we are almost strangers. Suppose I'm a maniac or something? Or maybe you are. One has to becareful these days. We are dealing with dangerous times.

True enough, good thing that I am such a lovable and cuddly right-winger! LOL Really, Pia, I am a pussycat.

I noticed from some of your earlier posts (while I was stalking you - LOL, just kidding) that you live in NJ. Therefore, I feel the need to serenade you:
" I got no time for the corner boys,
out in the street, making all that noise,
Or the girls down on the avenue,
cuz tonight I want to be with you,
Tonight I'm gonna take that ride,
across the river to the Jersey side,
Cuz nothing matters in this whole wide world,
when you're in love with a Jersey girl!"

Wow! Jersey Girl is one of my favorite songs. It is a beautiful song and I thank you. But how did you guess I love the song? But. You can't possibly be attracted to a username, someone you don't even know. Must be a crush. People have crushes all the time. Also, my heart sort of belongs to someone now. Aside from that though, give me more reasons why I should seriously consider wanting to meet you.

                          • Posted By: jimbo3800 @ 06/29/2008 12:44:05 PM

I was channeling your vibes all the way from NJ! Here are the reasons:
                            1. I am younger and better looking than Alvy
                            2. I am smarter than Alvy
                            3. I am better looking and smarter than whoever your heart "sort of" belongs to.
How do I know these things? I just do...

"Down the shore everything's all right.
me and Pia1981 on a Saturday night"
                            Sha-la-la-la, sha-la-la-la-la...

OMG. Channeling my vibes coming to you all the way from NJ? I don't know where you are. Anyway, is "channeling your vibes" that the new pick line these days? Hummm.
                              1) How do you know Alvy is not younger and better looking than you?
                              2) How do you know Alvy is not smarter than you?
                              3) Alvy is who my heart belongs to.

PS Jim, I forgot to add, you certainly are very confident guy and that is attractive to me but I need more reasons for you to convince me to want to meet with you. Would you ever consider voting for my candidate Barack Obama? Even though I am a Republican I am voting Dem this year. I know you are a Rep. too, so we would at the very least share one more interest .

                                • Posted By: jimbo3800 @ 06/29/2008 9:16:30 PM

Well, from the sound of things, you will likely write in Alvy for President, and I definitely cannot do that.

McCain will make this country better.
As for Iraq, Obama is already laying the seeds of another flip flop. First he'd say he would pull troops immediatly, then its he'll have to do a brigade a month, then leaves it up to the commanders in the field.
McCain energy plan is a broad spectrum plan to help get us off of foreign oil. Yes it will take years but what you think Obama is gonna wave his magic finger and BAM everything is going to be ok. Your gonna pay more at the pump with Obama as President than McCain.
We are still waiting for the detail on Obama tax plan by the way. The devil is in the details.
Its people like you that are rushing to support a man with questionable judgment but are willing to give him a pass on everything that are going to ruin this country.

ROTFL - From the same article YOU listed

"Democratic leaders insist -- and polls indicate -- that the vast majority of Clinton supporters, including women, already have flocked to Obama or eventually will."

      • Posted By: dreffein @ 06/29/2008 10:18:17 AM

smithwatkins - "Democratic leaders insist"....LOL. Insisting doesn't make it so. Even Newswack says 47% of HRC's supporters are not supporting Obama. It's far bigger than the DNC and its feeble minded leadership is willing to acknowledge.

  • Posted By: The "O" Team @ 06/29/2008 7:35:24 PM

    To ALL Obama Supporters:

There have been a few of you, to communicate, in a not so productive manner with HILL-BILLarY Supporters... There isn't anything wrong with dialog but LOSER #1 (HILLBILLY) IS NO LONGER IN THE RACE... Why waste your efforts and keystrokes on "THE CLINTON LOSER MINIONS"??? This is actually the 1st time that I have mentioned her name... and WHY??? BECAUSE HILL-BABY AND HER BULL-ITSH SUPPORTERS LIKE ZOMBIEHERO, CAN RIDE THEIR, LOSER, NON-RELEVANT, CRY-BABY, "DEPRESSEDAZZ's" HOME... '

F*&%ORGET HILL-BABY, HER WHOREMONGERING HUSBAND AND THEIR, NOT-SO-ATTRACTIVE DAUGHTER...

I DON'T THINK THAT I COULD CARE, ANY LESS FOR THAT NUMB-SKULL, "ZOMBIEHATER"...

AND FORGET PAYING THAT, OLD HAG's DEBT... LET THEM COVER THAT OUT OF THEIR "MENA DRUP MONEY"... YOU KNOW... THAT $109,000,000.50 THAT SO MANY OF HER SUPPORTERS CAN'T LOGICALLY EXPLAIN...

SO I THINK THAT I SHOULD END ALL DOUBT HERE BY CLARIFYING, OUR POSITION...

    NO KUM-BI-YA...

    NO KISS AND MAKE UP...

NO, "HILL-BILLY RAN SUCH A GOOD RACE, IT MADE BARACK STRONGER"... THAT'S A BUNCH OF SH@T

NO, HEY NOW WE SHOULD UNITE, GARBAGE EITHER... WHY... AS I HAD BEEN SAYING, COMMON-SENSE WILL EFFECT, WHOEVER IT WILL BUT... DON'T BE FOOLED... WE HAVE ALREADY MARKED AND METERED, ALL OF THE SCUMBAGS WHO HAVE SAID, SUCH HATEFUL THINGS... IF YOU WANT TO SUPPORT BARACK, DO IT ON YOUR OWN (we really don't need you)...

but one request, CAN WE STOP TALKING ABOUT THE "1ST LOSER" (HILL-BILLY) AND MOVE ON TO WHAT REALLY MATTERS... LIKE PRESIDENT OBAMA RECEIVING FULL ATTENTION AND COOPERATION???

C'MON... we weren't talking about the SPUR or the PISTONS during the NBA Finals... and why???

BECAUSE THEY LOST!!! and the last time that I had checked, NOBAODY GIVE A SCH!T ABOUT THE OFFICIAL"LOSER"...

OH YEAH, and so much for that bologna about, HILLBILLY CAN RUN IN 2012... HONESTLY, IF WE DIDN'T WANT THE "SEA-HAG" IN '08... WHAT MAKES YOU THINK THAT WE WOULD WANT AN EVEN OLDER "BEE-YATCH" IN 2012??? FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, THAT WOULD MAKE HER LIKE, 150 YEARS OLD...

C'MON, THAT'S ONE OF THE MAIN REASONS THAT Mc'cAIN'T, AIN'T GON' WIN... AIN'T NO GOOD WITH A SENILE OLD PUPPET WHO'S STRINGS ARE PULLED BY OTHER OLD-PHARTS (BUSH SR. & CHENEY) WHO WE ARE TRYING TO FORGET...

this service annoncement has been brought to you by ME! The same one who told you that, "Chelsea was too unattractive for AMERICA to elect, ANY of the Arkansonian-HILLBILLarY's"... LET US ALL JUST WORK TOGETHER TO MAKE SURE THAT, CHELSEA DOESN'T, PRO-CREATE... Maybe she will use her God-Given, ROE vs. WADE rights and prune that possiBILLity from their TREE...

    any whoooooooooooooooooooooooo... ;)

VOTE OBAMA IN '08 :) or
    DON'T TELL ANYBODY, THAT YOU DIDN'T!!! ;(

    • Posted By: Zombiehero @ 06/30/2008 4:03:03 PM

Wow I must have gotten to you... ha ha are you starting to second guess your Nominee? Keep fanning the hate....it only makes McCain stronger!!!

    • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 06/29/2008 9:11:13 PM

Yup, I communicate with Hillary supporters and I shall continue to do so regardless. Hillary supporters are human beings, therefore I am going to communicate with them and respect them unless they behave in an unacceptable and disrespectful manner. You sound unsociable? What's your problem?

  • Posted By: Ganpat @ 06/30/2008 1:00:06 PM

So great is the intelligence of Obama that I am concerned that the USA should recognise this as fully as it deserves.

He should be crowned Emperor Obama the Great in a ceremony modelled on the coronation of that other hugely gifted man, Emperor Bokassa of the Central African Republic.

Emperor Bokassa's coronation ceremony, complete with carriages drawn by white horses in all the healthful, steaming heat of Bangui, is an event still cherished in the capacious memory of Africa.

Who among us will forget how the grateful citizenry of Bangui rent the welkin with lusty cheers as, lined up under the sagging palm trees amid their rotting huts, the carriage swept by them, their Imperial Majesties waving graciously. Particular note was taken of the scarcely-earthly grace of the svelte Empress (weight: only 3 tons)?

So overwhelming was the grandeur of this ceremony, that the very hippopotamuses on the regrettably muddy Ubangui-Shari river on which Bangui's noble if gently deliquescing hutments stand, could not repress magnificent yawns.

Here is an event, set in that very ancient land of his roots - Africa! - that Obama will be thrilled to replicate in Washington. The Empress Michelle Obama will show no less graciously than the Empress Bokassa.

This coronation of Emperor Obama, certain to glisten with a particularly grateful sheen at the top of the world's social register of glittering occasions, will serve to inaugurate an extremely desirable trend: America's shaking off of its woeful provincialism and its adoption of an only too needful willingness to learn from that first instructor of all mankind: Africa !

    "Africa, Land of the Sun,
    The King of Continents,
    The Ancient One !

And now - o what unbearable Drama !
The land that Spewed forth - Obama! "

We need an investigation to find out the source of the money received by Obama on line by visa and MC. I bet that some terrorist organizations are contributing to his campaign!

  • Posted By: denmill @ 06/30/2008 1:46:59 AM

That Obama should even consider helping pay her campaign debts is beyond belief.

    • Posted By: denmill @ 06/30/2008 1:45:39 AM

Obama is not doing her a favor by paying her debt, Obama is playing dirty politic South Chicago style. He is buying her slience. This is plain and simple BRIBERY. As far as I know BRIBERY is ILLEGAL. why is Obama not in jail? Is it because he is black?

    • Posted By: smithwatkins @ 06/30/2008 1:37:03 AM

The nice thing is that HE doesn't have to. He left it up to both his and HRC's financial supporters. If they want to - more power to them - lolol - Somehow I doubt that there is gonna be a tidal wave of donations from either side. I mada a previous comment that I thought it would be a magnanimous gesture on his part to offer to all of the HRC backers that for every dollar that they donate to his campagn - he would be gracious enough to kick back a nickle of that dollar to her debt fund :-) Let's see how much all those HRC supporters REALLY want to retire her debt !!!! - ROTFL

  • Posted By: denmill @ 06/30/2008 1:40:00 AM

This unity front is just a big scam. This is bribery and it is illegal. No canditate should own another candidate by paying of his of her debts. The two should meet in Deception, Quebec rather than Unity, NH. For a canditate that has claimed that he is above the rest, he is really deceiving the american people. Great change Obama! South Chicago style...!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Posted By: GregAugustaGA @ 06/27/2008 4:18:25 PM

if hill+billy have so much money why don't they just write off the campaign debt on their taxes and leave the Obama campaign alone?

      • Posted By: denmill @ 06/30/2008 1:32:44 AM

We need an investigation to find out the source of the money received by Obama on line by visa and MC. I bet that some terrorist organization are contributing the his campaign!

I imagine Fineman is referring to Hillary's campaign being "broke", not her personal fortune. How is that a "dig" - it's a fact. Stop whining - HIllary put up a great fight but she lost by the skin of her teeth. Let's hope she and Obama will pair up in a great, constructive fashion in the Fall and in future - and that he will help retire her campaign debt with his enormous coffers! ;-)

Hillary Clinton has been a great candidate. Hillary Clinton is a great leader in the senate as well as the country. Hillary Clinton ran a good, although not great campaign. Hillary Clinton deserves the respect of not just women, but all Americans. Hillary Cllnton's campaign showed all Americans that a woman is capable of being the commander-in-chief. But....Hillary Clinton lost. Respectfully, and bravely....she lost.

It's time for her supporters to get behind the nominee, Barack Obama. It's not in the interest of women in this country to do otherwise. Support of the Republicans, and John McCain in particular ,would be a disaster for any woman who saw a future with Clinton.

I cannot believe there are Clinton supporters out there who don't get it. Grow up, move on, and make history here by supporting your party and your own self-interest. McCain is not the answer. It's a brave new world, and Obama is the future. Supporting McCain is akin to being a participant in your own demise!

    • Posted By: Zombiehero @ 06/28/2008 7:22:27 AM

How would it be a "disaster?" You make such an outrageous claim but you don't have any shred of evidence to support you claim.
How about we make history by showing the DNC that Dems are to be pushed around to support any crazy yahoo they decide is best. McGovern = Obama = Jimmy Carter....you want more of the same then vote for Obama.

Stop blaming the "oil companies" for our collective appetite for oil! We are the world's biggest consumers of the stuff (at ~25% of total supply, despite our relatively meager 300 million population) and we need to be CONSERVERS. Big oil only controls about 6-10% of total production in the world - the rest is owned by countries like Venezuela (PDVSA), Brazil (PETROBRAS), Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, etc. These are called NOCs (National Oil Companies). Each of these countries could at any time decide to keep all their production at home and stop selling it to the US gas guzzlers. So don't penalize "big oil" for our own Achilles Heel. This is the BEGINNING OF THE END OF THE OIL ERA. We must learn to live with less and less and pay ever-increasing prices... or just polish up our bicycles and brush up our horse-riding skills and resign ourselves to a period of life that harkens back to the 19th Century.

Anyhow, glad the two had a good time in Unity. Hoping for Obama-Clinton ticket if that works out.

  • Posted By: Zombiehero @ 06/29/2008 9:39:26 AM

Pia why do you say that? As far as I know Chelsea isn't preggo? So are you saying that she should step down as NY Senator now because Obama is the presumed nominee? She has no future left may as well just retire with the kids? I wouldn't expect such a sexist attitude from you of all people.

    • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 06/29/2008 11:04:00 AM

Zombie, I am not saying Hillary should step down as NY state senator now or that she has no future in politics. She does. Just recetly I posted that, 1) I would he happy with her as VP. 2) Hillary should be offered a Supreme Court Justice position ( you accused Obama of bribary if he offers that), and 3) a cabinet position would be fine with me.
What I am saying is that she may not want a poltical future by 2012 and there is nothing wrong with that. She is a woman after all with a daughter who may somedget maried amd raise a family. I think Hillary wants to be a big part of that. I know I would. But. How is any of this sexist to you?

      • Posted By: Zombiehero @ 06/29/2008 1:52:50 PM

You made it sound like Hillary should just go help raise her grandkids instead of running in 2012. Sounded a lot like go make me some pie.

        • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 06/29/2008 4:00:19 PM

And what is wrong with a woman making pies, Z? Huh? Who is being sexist now?
I wish I was good at baking pies, because I love pies, esp. lemon, my fave.

          • Posted By: Zombiehero @ 06/29/2008 4:38:44 PM

Of course I'm sexist I'm a man. I like lemon pies too.

              Lol! Okay, I get you.

You love lemon pies because you are a scorpio too. I like tartness in my pies. I don't like lemon meringue though, just plain lemon pie. I wonder if A likes lemon pie? I know he loves limes. Key lime pie is outrageous. A's fave cake is carrot cake. That is supposed to be our b'day cake in Nov. We share b'days. Imagine that.
I really need to stop posting about A.

Howard - I would like like you to consider for a moment the argument that BHO really doesn't need HRC or BC for that matter. Look at the recent polling data and trend lines. He is already picking up her supporters left and right because they really have nowhere else to go. They are NOT going to stay home on election day and they are NOT going to vote for McCain. Most of the recent polling supports this. Also - BHO most certainly doesn't need to bail HRC out of her debt mess (which her and her management team created thru what will probably go down in history as one of the worst managed presidential campaigns in U.S. political history) as HRC and BC still have plenty of earning potential considering their recent published tax return history and BC's presidential library money hog trough. Is HRC and BC's support really worth 10-20 million ?? (i.e. more than the presidents salery ?)

    • Posted By: dreffein @ 06/28/2008 8:46:36 AM

smithwatkins - Newsweek itself (aka the Barack Obama fanclub magazine) indicated that 47% of HRC supporters are either backing McCain, writing in Hillary or staying home (as of now). Every time an Obama supporter dismisses the Clintons, one more Clinton supporter joins the protest. Obama needs our votes and OUR financial support. While Obama outraised HRC, remember that she raised $230 million. So, doesn't it make some political sense to you that the Obama campaign helps retire HRC's debt to help stimulate the Clinton donors to financially support Obama?

BTW - I think all of the Clinton supporters believe her campaign could have been run better. But remember, she came very close for someone who was outspent in the later primaries by 2, 3 and 4 to 1. Speaks to the strength of Clinton and a poorly run Obama campaign in the final months (or maybe the more we got to know him, the less we liked him).

      • Posted By: loriw @ 06/29/2008 1:22:51 AM

how much of that so called $230 mil was her own money....she didn't exactly "raise" her own money.
if i were bill gates and put all my own money into my campaign does that make me the best candidate ?

        • Posted By: dreffein @ 06/29/2008 3:02:35 PM

loriw - not keeping up as well with the Clintons. Of the $230 million raised, she loaned $12 million to her campaign. I'm not sure but I don't think that's included in the $230. And if you think that the Clintons are financially in the same league as Bill Gates, Mitt Romney, Michael Bloomberg, etc., you really don't know what you're talking about (oh right - we already knew that).

          • Posted By: loriw @ 06/29/2008 7:04:54 PM

Enter Your Commentdreffin you totally missed both of my points. If Hillary loaned money to herself she didn't raise it. next point...does the ability to raise money, or loan money to your own campaign make you a qualified candidate. I am keeping up, you were not.

      • Posted By: chindognyc @ 06/28/2008 1:45:34 PM

It is people like you who keeps this dispute going on and on. Hillary is backing Obama. He is running against McCain. Stop with all this you need us and we are going to McCain. McCain already said that he is cutting most women programs because it cost too much. He never even showed up for the equal rights pay for women. Obama voted yes for it and you need to read his explanation on why he voted yes. Very good and strong words. Start getting the party together and stop pretending that you wanted Hillary if you are really a McCain backer.

        • Posted By: dreffein @ 06/28/2008 2:19:15 PM

Chindognyc - "it's people like me that keep this dispute going on"? Did you ever stop to think that it's people like you, who have created the level of animosity that is on display all over this web site? Any disagreement or question immediately is greeted with negative attacks. Frankly, before I started blogging, I was far more open to considering Obama. But given the nastiness and blindness of his supporters, I don't think that's a group that I'd want to join.

          • Posted By: Zombiehero @ 06/28/2008 4:28:14 PM

Of it can never be people like her. Always have to blame everyone else. Remember how he used to rail against the morgage lenders oh but that was until a lot of his supporters got sweetheart deals on their loans. It was all the lobbyists fault, then oh yeah he gets a lot of money from "former" lobbyists.

        • Posted By: dreffein @ 06/28/2008 2:11:48 PM

smithwatkins - sounds like you have it all figured out. Picking and choosing your version of the truth. Check out the Gallup poll - your hero is even with McCain. If you believe the Newswack poll, then that says it all. But really, since your hero flipflopped on public financing, do you think you (and your hero) can afford the arrogance you display? Can he afford for his supporters to continue to alienate HRC supporters?. Right now, according to Newswack(also known as the Barack Obama fanclub rag), 47% of HRC supporters will not vote Obama. If Obama can win without us, that's great. I wish him all the best.

P.S. I'm sure Senator Obama would really approve of how you dismiss half of the people who voted in the Democratic primaries. LOL

"Every time an Obama supporter dismisses the Clintons, one more Clinton supporter joins the protest. "

With BHO up on McCain by between 10 - 15 percentage points in this weeks polls and already outspending him by a fair margin - do ya think we need ya ??? Nope

"Obama needs our votes and OUR financial support. "

The closer we get to the convention and with BHO already starting to pull away for McCain, HRC and her supporters value to the party will go to zilch pretty quickly. She better be grabbing everything that she Bill can get their grubby hands on now because in very short order she will be back to being a junior senator with little seniority and little to no support from her colleagues in the senate. Democrats don't suffer losers very well.

"While Obama outraised HRC, remember that she raised $230 million"

Great - so you and her supporters can pay off her debts which were caused by her and Bill's total financial mismanagement of the campagn finances right ???.

"So, doesn't it make some political sense to you that the Obama campaign helps retire HRC's debt to help stimulate the Clinton donors to financially support Obama?"

Absolutely. How about for every dollar that HRC supporters give to the BHO campaign, he chips in a nickle of that to pay off her debts ?? Sound about right ?. Start writing those checks folks. Don't forget to pay early, and pay often :-)

"BTW - I think all of the Clinton supporters believe her campaign could have been run better."

That's certainly puttin lipstick on a pig. Presidential historians (and I have one in the family) are already writing the post mortems and it ain't pretty. We are talking gross mismanagement on an epic scale here.

"But remember, she came very close for someone who was outspent in the later primaries by 2, 3 and 4 to 1."

That's like the guy who shows up at the Indianapolis 500 in a Ford Model T and proclaims "Well - if I had 25 million dollars, I could win this thing too. But of course every racer will tell ya that probably 75 percent of racing is RAISING THE NECESSARY FUNDS TO COMPETE - which HRC didn't - hence her 10 million outstanding debt to her unpaid vendors !!!

"Speaks to the strength of Clinton and a poorly run Obama campaign in the final months (or maybe the more we got to know him, the less we liked him)."

Speaks to the fact that HRC and Bill were mismanaging her campagn to the tune of 25 million dollars. Money that their campagn didn't have. Money that HRC and Bill now want the people who just schooled them on how to run a campagn to pay for them right ?? Too funny. You want to have HRC's debt retired ? Start diggin folks. You bought that dead horse. Now pay for it.

        • Posted By: loriw @ 06/29/2008 1:30:26 AM

Smithwatkins- this is one of the best posts I've read all night. OBTW- some of those unpaid vendors are here in Indiana, HRC didn't pay them for the places she rented when she was here for our primary. I'd be thinking that those people won't be sending her money to help her retire her debt.

      • Posted By: TruthForward @ 06/28/2008 12:11:47 PM

If Clinton supports are considering McCain, then I wonder if they were Democrats to begin with.

The McCain message is so different from any Democrat. He wants people to fend for themselves againts billion dollar corporations (the corporations have propaganda commercials). McCain is so unrealistic.

        • Posted By: dreffein @ 06/28/2008 2:23:30 PM

TruthForward - I'm writing in HRC. This trend is really growing. It's been all over the news today about the number of groups that have sprouted up to protest the process and the manner in which HRC was treated. The DNC has taken women's votes for granted far too long. Maybe we can get their attention.

Personally, I will vote for Democrats in all other offices to help ensure the Dems do get a larger majority in Congress so that Democratic principles can still move forward.

I actually think Clinton will come out stronger from this election than ever before. Maybe a run at NY Gov isn't a bad idea.
All you Hillary Haters are going to be really mad, cause she isn't going to make a BIG comeback! I guess that's why there is a lot of talk about SCOTUS seat for her, they are afraid of what she can do in another 4 years.

ALL the expereience in the WORLD cannot make up misguided policies. Inotherwords, McCain HAS a lot of experience following the wrong policies, especially on IRAQ or the ECONOMY.

OBAMA NEEDS TO Associate McCAIN with the word war as much as possible. Everytime McCain throws out the experience question OBAMA has to stress that new experience is needed to improve the economy not "OLD EXPERIENCE".

  • Posted By: eddiewhere @ 06/29/2008 4:57:00 PM

McCain is a good guy however he promotes misguided policies. THE BIGGEST BEING THE IRAQ WAR.

JUST LIKE HILLARY HE JUST DOESN"T GET IT. THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WANT OUT OF IRAQ. THE IRAQ WAR IS WHAT GAVE OBAMA A VICTORY IN IOWA. McCAIN is going to get SMOKED in this election unless he changes his stance on IRAQ.

"NO AMERICAN LIFE IS WORTH IRAQI FREEDOM.

ANYONE WHO DISAGREES IS NOT A REAL AMERICAN" eddiewhere 2008

There is this argument out there that I hear our troops repeating over and over agian. WE CANNOT LEAVE UNTIL THE JOB IS DONE WE CANNOT LET OUR BROTHERS DIE IN VAIN.

NOW THAT IS REAL BUL****. THAT STATEMENT IS GOVERNMENT IDEOLOGY AND NOT MILITARY IDEOLOGY.

COLIN POWELL SAID IT BEST. DEFINE YOUR MISSION CLEARLY SET YOUR OBJECTIVES AND USE OVERWHELMING FORCE AKA SHOCK AND AWE to accomplish your mission.

WE HAVE NO CLEAR AGENDA and NO CLEAR OBJECTIVES. WE ARE NOT SURE. SO HOW ON EARTH CAN WE JUSTIFY THE LOSS OF MORE AMERICAN LIVES. AS LONG AS WE STAY IN IRAQ YOUNG AMERICANS WILL CONTINUE TO DIE IN VAIN. WE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE HAVE MADE OUR POINT VERY CLEAR. WE ARE SICK OF IRAQ AND WE ARE SICK OF OUR DEPENDENCY ON MIDDLE EASTERN OIL.

OBAMA WILL BE THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.

THE LAST FALLACY I WANT TO ADDRESS IS THAT THE SURGE IS WORKING.

THIS ARGUMENT IS SO CRAZY THAT IT IS HARD TO EXPLAIN.

SURGE means temporary. OUR TROOPS PRESENCE IN THAT COUNTRY OF IRAQ IS THE MAIN REASON FUNDAMENTALIST HAVE FOR ATTACKING US.

WE NEED A PRESIDENT THAT WILL DO WHAT IS BEST FOR AMERICA NOT WHAT IS BEST FOR IRAQ.

THE LATEST FALLACY IS THAT WE SHOULD STAY UNTIL WE WIN. WE HAVE ALREADY LOST.ESPECIALLY THE AMERICAN TAX PAYER and those poor AMERICAN SOLDIERS WHO LOST THEIR LIFE FOR NO LEGITIMATE REASON. THE BLIND JUST CANNOT SEE THAT.

THERE IS ONE CLEAR WINNER IN THIS WAR, HALLIBURTON AND OTHER PRIVATE CONTRACT FIRMS WHO FUNNELED BILLIONS OF DOLLARS, WITH THE HELP OF DICK CHENEY, FROM THE AMERICAN TAX PAYER.

    LAUTENBERG REPORT CHECK IT OUT.

YES OBAMA DOES HAVE BIG LEAD AND IT WILL GET EVEN BIGGER BECAUSE McCAIN WANTS TO STAY IN IRAQ.

As you stated, it is not yet signed, sealed or delivered. What needs to truly be delivered is a solid commitment to promote Equality for Women. It has been almost 30 years since the Democrates desserted the Equal Rights Amendment, and have done since to improve the gender inequities. Hillary was our shining star of potential. I will not commit to either the Democrates, or Obama until I see a real goal and time table to put Women's Rights back on the front burner.

    • Posted By: notroubleatall1963 @ 06/27/2008 5:25:24 PM

The ERA - wow, that's from the 1970s, right? I"m a working woman earning a good salary, though I'd agree that many of my male counterparts seem to get promoted to higher level positions than my female colleagues...more often than not, at least.

I'm for Equal Rights for all - not just for women - as I'd imagine you are too. But our system "killed" the ERA with the need for "further research" if my memory is correct, and times changed. We still worked in the workplace and strides have been made. I suspect my male colleagues earn more than me, but so do others - male, female and gay, straight, black, white, etc. There is always someone who is better off and someone who is worse off.

What is the ERA about - we got the Civil Rights Bill passed in 1964... do we need another?

      • Posted By: jimbo3800 @ 06/29/2008 1:14:23 AM

You hit it right on the head at the end. The 1964 civil right bill provides, in very clear and well written terms, equality for women from a legal standpoint. The ERA was simply about symbolism, and it required an amendment to the constitution, which is not an easy thing to do. ERA was symbolism over substance, just a trendy legislative version of burning your bra.

Which actually is a great analogy, because afterwards, what have you really got? A lack of support either way.

        I crack myself up.

Z, paying off her debt is good but I doubt very much Hillary will run in 2012. She will be almost 70 yrs old then and more than likely a grandmother who would want to retire from politics and be with her grandkids.

Unity was too offensive to watch,to think Hillary is expected to help yet another man into the Whirehouse is sickening. She needs to go back to the Senate,President Clinton needs to continue his work for humanity and Obama and his raciosts wife need to go si downm!

Whirehouse, si downm, raciosts? You need to change your name because you are def. not a duchess. A duchess can spell. Duh. BTW, the Obama's are not racists. I do suspect you are.

and you need to have more common sense!!! This isn't about Hillary or Obama, this is about saving our country from a looming depression and from economic trouble. Do you realize that any action taken against Obama only helps McCain? Well, he does need all the help he can get because this isn't even close.
