    Are you that under-educated, Trooper? Fundamental/Extremist Muslims may be taught in very bent ways...but the majority of the Islam religion believes in peace, and live very loving and accepting lives. Your closed-minded, spewing of hatred and fear confound me. Get a clue!

    I am not surprised by the GOP's pick of Palin. I am, however suprised that people haven't tired of stupid candidates like Mc Cain and Palin. Haven't we had enough of this? I want someone intelligent...better educated and thoughtful who has the good sense not to "shoot from the hip" mentality. Whats ' wrong with having class and good sense. Govenor Pailin is not my choice. As a woman I am embarrassed by her. She is just the worst possible choice to be a heartbeat away.......

    Sarah Palin : To a church gathering, she described a $30 billion natural-gas pipeline project, backed by state tax money, as "God's will." Similarly, she urged her audience to pray that the war in Iraq was "a task that is from God ??? That's what we have to make sure that we're praying for???that there is a plan and that that plan is God's plan."
    I never knew God was an oil man.All i can say is....Praise the lord and pass the gas.

    I predict Palin will be president at some point. Obama will lose with a good margin. Palin has more fiscal experience that all three combined. People say Palin has no experience?? And Obama has what? He has 143 days as a do nothing vote nothing senator from a corrupt Chicago area. He's a loser before he even started. If he doesn't make it this time (which I think he wil not) he most likely will not run again because the demorats will not back another loser.

    My husband is a Republican and I'm a Democrat. He is really taken with Gov Palin. What he doesn't reolize..each time I hear comments like the President's "McCain is strong enough to take on the angry Liberals" it's Ka-ching....the sound of me sending Obama more money. Angry Liberals is that people worried about the deficit, a war we can't win, lost jobs, cost of gas and groceries???? SS in Indiana

    Obama reachs for washington insider and experience to make up for lack of experience. This is his first real public choice to demonstrate how he would lead if president. There is nothing Obama could now say to pursuade me to consider voting for the Obama- Biden ticket. Worst possible choice for this country.

      Question...Who picked VP based on who can help run the country, and who picked solely based on who can just win the election? We need a president who thinks about the future.

      Anybody can make a little puppet, I remember that in elementary school.

      I'm ashamed mccain thinks women will just flock to him, no matter how much he thinks viagra is more important than birth control. What does Palin think about that issue? hmmmm

I watched that old boring ass convention....not a mention of economy, our country NOW....yeah, the present day.     The reason why it is 6% is because the right wing conservatives filibuster all legislation that would help the american people and not overly benefit the rich and corporations for who they work for. Once the dems get a filibuster proof percentage in Congress and the right wing conservatives stop killing legislation that this country needs, the approval rating will skyrocket.

      Your kidding right. Consevitives have fillibustered less in two years of session than the dems have done in 1 month. Watch C-SPAN before making non-informed comments. Look at voting records, prices we pay know have been a direct reflection of the dems running the house. Watch C-SPAN while it is still on, the Dems are trying to get rid of C-SPAN all together.

        Well since conservatives want to do SOOOOO much, why did they do NOTHING all that time they had the majority & the white house? Why can't drilling be apart of a larger solution? BECAUSE T's a GIMMICK. Just like the entire Repub brand is a phony gimmick!

    Why doesn't the media talk about the failure of Bill Clinton to be vetted thoroughly, that no doubt affected Obama's ability to chose Hilary Clinton as his V.P.? Bill Clinton, has yet, to tell the truth about some of the contributions made to his Presidential library. Also, the media, with the exception of Keith Olberman, Chris Matthew, have failed to highlight that Hillary Clinton used gender discrimination to explain her loss...GS, NYC

    Didn't work for me at first. Click on another of the black-and-white tabs (e.g., "Turning Points"). Wait for it to load. Then go back to the "Global Literacy" tab. Once the Global Literacy page opens click on the Global Literacy Quiz applet on the left side of the web page. It worked for me when I got to the quiz by that link. It was a pretty good quiz, but I did poorly so I'll have to subscribe to cable - or something.
