How many of you, "out there" have ever been polled. There are polls for everything and yet i've never met anyone who's ever been polled.

I had to take a double take when I looked at these stats:

    RASMUSSEN REPORTS
    Daily Presidential Tracking Poll
    Monday, August 04, 2008

    TIED

    John McCain - 44 %

    Barack Obama - 44%

    WITH LEANERS:

    John McCain - 47%

    Barack Obama - 46%

This is the first time McCain has enjoyed a statistically advantage since Obama clinched the Democratic nomination on June 3rd.

Tracking Polls are released at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time each day.

    AMONG UNAFFILIATED VOTERS:

    McCain - 52%

    Obama - 37%

FAVORABLY VIEWED BY THE NATIONS VOTERS:

    McCain - 55%

    Obama - 51%

This is the LOWEST rating for Obama since he wrapped up the nomination.

Obamas friends and associates, including those he made during his early political years that he stayed close with, and those individuals in his life as a whole are coming to the forefront again, only with a deeper account of how he got to where he is today. A new book is out about him: THE OBAMA NATION

If you have not seen this article, you might want to read it. It is very well written and informative. It provides readers with some insight into Barack Obamas early political career. The time between his first campaign for the Illinois State Senate in 1995 and his race for U.S. Senate in 2004, which can fairly be called the LOST YEARS, the span of years that you never hear Obama talk much about.

    Weekly Standard
    Barack Obamas Lost Years
    by Stanley Kurtz
    08/11/2008, Volume 013, Issue 45

The Senator Obamas tenure as a State legislator reveals him to be an Old-fashioned, Big Government, Race-Conscious Liberal.

this is simply the most barbaric quiz i have ever taken; in fact, any dim-witted, narrow minded, simpleton could write about complete b.s. Obama 08!!!!! the culminating moment in my history will be felt as soon as this lame-duck Bush is out. It's time for an effective leader with sound policies and a logical approach to the many challenges we as a nation and as a world face i.e. global warming, energy efficiency, foreign relations-national security. Ultimately, we are heavily relying on an approach that will incorporate the international community and will closely examine the multi-faceted problems we face and hopefully we will soundly make some progress.

I hope you are voting for obama based on his stance relative to the items you have listed, and for no other reason, i.e. race.

How odd that this is your post on the Global Literacy Quiz. Can't you find some more appropriate place to put your rant.
I was disappointed in the quiz. I guess I didn't realize it would be about "pop culture."

I won't vote for Obama that's for sure. The reason is that I don't have USA citizenship. He just might lose his presidency becuase of my lacking vote!

  • Posted By: petitbeurre8 @ 08/01/2008 4:18:46 PM

I'm not going to vote for Obama because I don't have USA citzenship. What a pity! Might be my lacking vote would cost him presidency.

Well, I can't get the quiz to work-- It goes to the 2nd page warning me I have to answer fast and then hangs. But I can assure you that I will not be voting against Obama because I think he's Muslim. In fact, if he were Muslim, he'd probably understand that it isn't ok to murder babies because you find their potential birth inconvenient. He certainly wouldn't be all but advocating full out infanticide in the name of "rights." W do not have a right to take the lives of others, no matter how inconvenient or difficult their existence. Since Prol-life is now a dirty word within the Democratic party, I have no choice but to vote Republican, though I am far from being a Republican. It's just that the right to exist is far more important than any other right. If it is ok to kill anyone who gets in the way of your pursuit of whatever lifestyle you want, then pretty much nothing else matters at all--not healthcare, not poverty, not crime, war, prison problems-- NOTHING. There is no point to freedom if you aren't guaranteed the right to continue breathing so long as God ordains it possible. When my party starts to understand this basic concept of logic again, then maybve I can return to voting for the economic policy and social programs I prefer.
