I admit the election was confusing for some. But now is the time for the Church to be the Church. Unfortuantely the Presidential election is a binary decision. Don't count the impact of Bible Believing Christians out just yet. Consider how is it that California, Florida, and Arizona passed laws prohibiting Gay marriage. Perhaps freed from having to be one party or another, the Church can finally rise up as the Church. (Protestent and Catholic - all the Bible beleiving variations therein). I call on all Christians who didn't want to be called "single issue voters" to now rise up and confront the Democratic Regime that you put into power on those single issues your Biblical convictions will compel you to take action on. Peace.

It is common knowledge that the father of Muhammad was Abdallah; and his mother, Amina. Muhammad was a man born of an acknowledged father and a respected mother. Neither the Quran nor Muslim scholars claim that Muhammad was born in a supernatural way. His birth was not announced by an angel, nor was he born by the Word of God. He was born in a natural way as we all are, from a human father and a human mother.

As for Christ, the Quran states several times that He was not born in the normal way, as we are. His Father was not a human being. He was conceived in the Virgin Mary without the interference of a human father, for Allah breathed His spirit into her. This makes Christ - exclusively - the only one in the whole world who was born of the Word of God and His spirit.

Truly, the Messiah, Isa, Son of Mariam, the ambassador of Allah, is His word that He bestowed upon Mariam; and He is Spirit of Him (Women 4:171).

We breathed in her of our Spirit (The Prophets 21:91).

We breathed in Him of our Spirit (The Forbidding 66:12).

Christ is not a usual man, but the divine Spirit incarnated in human flesh. Thus He was born of the Spirit of God and the Virgin Mary. In contrast, Muhammad was born of a father and a mother, like all humans. He was not born of the Spirit of God.

NO TRUE CONSERVATIVE EVANGELICALS WILL VOTE FOR OBAMA. THE ONLY EVANGELICALS WHO WOULD CONSIDER VOTING FOR HIM ARE THE ONES THAT DO NOT KNOW THEIR BIBLES. THE FAITH OF BARACK OBAMA AND REV. WRIGHT IS NOT BIBLICAL CHRISTIANITY. GO MCCAIN!!! -EVANGELICAL CHRISTIAN

once again i must ask,are you god himself? how can you judge people?god did not ask us to be judges, jury, lawyers or executioners but to be witnesses.i am conservative and christian but i've come to realize that american conservatism hems real close to bigotry, intolerance and hatred.how about genocide, poverty, injustice etc? how about the vehement scoffing of other nations just because they hold a different opinion? how about kids on both sides of the iraq war who would never get a chance to meet their mothers and fathers? though i believe in the preservation of life, one cannot over look that in every hamlet of society, all over this world there is and will be abortions. our instructions are to pray for our leaders whether they are just or unjust.in this world of instant communication, can america live in isolation?what good is a man(gender neutral) if he prays but does not give his prayers wings, hands and feet? you cannot be that closed minded and judgemental.true strength is the ability to listen and analyze. no matter how right we think we are,we should stop and listen to the advice of others.

When will Evangelicals just learn to focus on the present and stop worrying about Israel. My God! the way the pastor's keep talking about the end of days and the whole Left Over Left Behind whatever saga its just over the top sometimes. And that Jesus Camp doc....im speechless. For once i hope whether evangelicals or Baptists or Catholics or Atheists, anybody, please just consider your economy for the future of your kids and not for religion's sake. I guess God wants your kids to be happy too. When Bush said that God spoke to him in a dream to invade Iraq i was like "How could the so claimed greatest nation vote for this twit?...twice!!

At last we see the press admitting that the truly important vote here is the Catholic vote, not the Evangelical. We will decide who is to be the next president of this country, and we will do so with good, conscious effort and due diligience-not the frothing madness of the deluded evangelicals, who foam at the mouth and spout hate and lies. Obama is the next president. Be glad. It is for the best.

  • Posted By: surprize @ 07/02/2008 1:44:30 AM

I completely disagree. The Evangelicals will vote and they absolutely will not be voting for Obama. Liberal magazines like Newsweek always underestimate the intelligence and determination of honest, hardworking Christians. They spend their time and money disparaging them and tooting the horn for far left liberals like Obama. Lisa, sorry no cigar.

    • Posted By: the-commish @ 07/08/2008 8:03:25 PM

Actually, quite a few evangelicals WILL be voting for Obama.

Will he get the majority of evangelicals? Of course not! But he will get a fair precentage of them!

The religious right,, most of whom are good people trying to deal witlh the same problems we all are -- healthcare for our children, soarding gas prices, food insecurity, holding on to their homes, wage stagnation, the need for better education for their families -- is being squeezed by those who assume that the GOP has a right to them and will exercise that right by appealing to the assumed two biggies -- reproductive rights and homosexuality. It may be that the evangelicals have looked up from the wool Karl Rove pulled over their eyes and realized that they were had. I expect that a lot of them are going to be very angry. If they cant't vote for Obama, they may look at the whole package (Bush III) that McCain is pushing and say "Thanks but no thanks."

    • Posted By: the-commish @ 07/08/2008 11:22:16 AM

The article on "low-info voters" would be a perfect segue to this article. The religious right has really been "low-info voters" for the last couple of decades, blindly following the GOP because of abortion and gay rights. No matter what else any candidate stood for, if they were not Pro-Choice and anti gay marriage, they were not worth voting for.

However, that is beginning to change, as many of these voters are beginning to realize that the economy, the trade defecit, the war in Iraq, outsourcing jobs and national security, the growing national debt, the energy crisis, etc. are also issues that directly impact them. It will take a while, but the GOP stranglehold on these voters has already begun to weaken, and I expect that trend to continue.

Comment: The big "religion" issue is Obama's "close 20 year relationship" with a bigot named Reverand Wright. And the good reverand's "close relationship" with one of America's biggest racists, Louis Farrakhan. Attention people: Birds of a Feather. Most of America is starting to figure it out. E specially Hillary fans and Jewish voters. Remember, this is the same nation that re-elected a very unpopular George Bush only 3 1/2 years ago during an unpopular war. McCain will win this election.

In a nut shell it just seems to me that hate has taken root in the religious community in a frightening way. In some of these posts the hate radiates from the moniter screen. If you truly are religious then surely you must see that hating Sen. Obama and the democratic party so much simply because you have a different point of view is very wrong. There is no reason at all to hate someone because they have a different way of looking at things. I do believe in God and I happen to think that his heart is grieved to see his people behaving in such a hateful, judgmental way. To say that Sen. Obama must share Rev. Wright's point of view because he sat in the church for 20 years, says that all those who sit in churches all across this country must also agree with every word their pastor's say. I do not believe that Rev. Wright spent all his time preaching these kinds of sermons, he was reacting to world events that everyone had an opinion about. He came of age at a time when being black in america was very hard and his life experience was very different from Obama's. I think that he has been unable to put to rest the feelings of bitterness and animosity that he feels because of his past. I have been praying for God to help him recognize that he must let these things go so his message can return to one of inspiration. I have been baffled by the hate from christians. God must be sad watching all of this.

KOOL-AID??????..From the kitchen of the obama sheeple!! take one heaping spoonful of an inexperienced elitist white male seeking self validation through exploitation of his african-american genetics. Combine two parts black liberation theology clerics spewing intolerance! With two parts of unrepentant intellectuals committed to the destruction of America. Stir in one cup of militant black wife harboring the overwhelming desire to stick it to whitey and one spoonful of typical white person grandmother mix well. Pour a gallon of anti-patriotism into tall glasses and sprinkle with naïve foreign policy ideations. Serve on a platter of meaningless oratorical hyperbole with a generous dollop of wealth re-distribution. Sprinkle liberally with zest of white guilt flip it and flop it till it tastes right. Serve large portions to the undiscerning and spellbound masses convinced that the Second Coming is upon America and now you have a complete recipe for disaster!

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/max-blumenthal/pastor-hagee-the-antichri_b_104608.html

On March 16, 2003, on the eve of the United States' invasion of Iraq, Pastor John Hagee took to the pulpit to warn of the coming Antichrist. In his sermon,

"The Final Dictator," Hagee described the Antichrist as a seductive figure with "fierce features." He will be "a blasphemer and a homosexual," the pastor announced.

Then, Hagee boomed, "There's a phrase in Scripture used solely to identify the Jewish people. It suggests that this man [the Antichrist] is at least going to be partially Jewish, as was Adolph Hitler, as was Karl Marx."

This "fierce" gay Jew, according to Hagee, would "slaughter one-third of the Earth's population" and "make Adolph Hitler look like a choirboy."

Hear Pastor Hagee's latest Judeophobic, anti-gay rant in this video, created by Bruce Wilson of Talk2Action.org

Exposed here for the first time, Hagee's comments identifying the Antichrist as a partly Jewish homosexual arrive in the wake of a furor the pastor provoked by describing the Holocaust as an act of God. Hagee's chilling sermon about the Holocaust prompted Sen. John McCain to reject the preacher's support, an unexpected turnabout after McCain spent over a year soliciting his endorsement.

Days after McCain's rejection, I reported that a key McCain ally, Sen. Joseph Lieberman, planned to deliver the keynote speech at Hagee's upcoming Christians United For Israel (CUFI) summit. As the story exploded into the mainstream press, pressure mounted on Lieberman to withdraw.

Wisconsin's unique landmarks once again find themselves in the pages of the latest novel to be presented to readers of history, thrillers and religion in a work that combines all three genres into an adventurous global conspiracy.

The Epoch Point, just released on May 1 and written by Wisconsin native Spencer Zimmerman, is a fictional novel that includes historical facts, certain to intrigue history buffs who are interested in history from the local to the international level, especially as that history thrillingly plays out into what Zimmerman describes as a worldwide "conflict between God and the devil, good and evil."

According to the book's synopsis, the lead character, Robert Davis, is "a young Airman fresh out of Air Force basic training," reflective of Zimmerman's own recent service in the Air Force. "After being held captive in China, (Davis) suddenly finds himself unraveling the most immense conspiracy in history...soon uncovering hidden facts suggesting Russian and Iraqi involvement...discovering the diary of Lee Harvey Oswald...As the clues surface, an evil emerges powerful enough to rewrite the entire history of humanity...before long the conspiracy takes on a supernatural form, marked by [natural disasters] and the wrath of God...Nothing [prepares] (Davis) for the final suspenseful twist the story takes, a da Vinci style revelation that reaffirms his belief in Christ."

  • Posted By: The_epoch_point @ 07/05/2008 10:27:44 PM

Zimmerman, having lived in several locations around Wisconsin, including near Lake Mills and Watertown, incorporated Wisconsin locations and history into his novel, among them a Viking cathedral on Washington Island and the events surrounding Wisconsin Senator Joseph McCarthy. Also mentioned is a small village outside of Burlington, Wisconsin, founded by a Mormon religious leader who proclaimed himself king, the only monarchy to ever occur in the forty-eight continental states in American history. Among the other Wisconsin landmarks in The Epoch Point, and most notably, the famous national landmark Aztalan is discussed at length.

Zimmerman's discussion of Aztalan in his book in part follows what Zimmerman calls the "darker" side of Aztalan, including its cannibalism and religious practices, and the instantaneous disappearance of its thriving population. Zimmerman's writing also seeks to make connections between Aztalan's existence with that of the Minoan civilization from Ancient Greece and Zoroastrian culture of the Middle East. All three peoples had similar beliefs, worshipped fire (one of Aztalan's mounds is believed to have been the abode of an "eternal" flame) and practiced human sacrifice and cannibalism.

Zimmerman noted all of these "obscure (historical) connections," which ultimately inspired him to take the connections and formulate them into an adventurous plot. Writing his book took roughly two years.

The book's chapters are titled after the sixty-six books of the Bible, and the plot progresses as Davis reads through each chapter of the Bible, opening the Bible for the first time in chapter one of The Epoch Point. Each chapter follows a "flashback" style in structure, in which the book's characters experience revelations of historical events and experiences from 4000 B.C. to the present, which allow them to observe how those events contributed to the global conspiracy they are presently confronting. Zimmerman states that the book's events begin on New Year's Eve of 2000, and end on Christmas of 2006.

While writing novels remains at present a hobby for Zimmerman, he already has ideas for a second novel that he anticipates will follow a more scientific fiction path. The Epoch Point is currently available through Amazon.com, and Zimmerman is hoping to get copies of the book into some of Lake Mills's downtown novelty shops.

Comment: Barack Obama had the right as a U.S. Senator to go to look at Iraq. He did not. Then, one of his big vote getters was a promise to get us the hell out of Iraq. Now, nominated, he plans to go to Iraq to see if he needs to change his mind. I voted for him principally because he promised to get us the hell out of there. If he goes there and comes back to endorse staying there, then I reserve the right to flush my Obama vote down the toilet.

This section of DiscoverTheNetworks examines Barack Obama's connections to a number of key individuals and organizations. In some cases, these affiliates are notable for the leftist views and objectives they share with Obama. In other cases, they are notable for their collaboration with Obama in controversial or unethical activities. In all cases, they offer a window into Barack Obama's values and priorities. Taken as a whole, they verify Thomas Sowell's observation that Obama has "spent decades aiding and abetting people who hate America."

Personally, I don't think McCain is a True Christian, and fellow christian's will pick this up. They don't like his pandering for endorsment from religious leader's, only to share a church when needed. I have not heard in all these years, what religion or faith he has. His action's definitely are not christian, his temper is always following him and his sense of values seem to me, to be self-absorbtion. I do not trust this man, never will. I think he is dangerous. I think, he think's he can get a free ride from his family's military duty, his alone will never cut it. He has always been an angry man, and always will be....this is not who should lead the country to success, or progress with economic or military security.
