Comment: Maybe when she was still living with him and the FBI asked her to rat him out. Anne 'Halfway' ratted out her boyfriend and comes out of it looking exactly the way she should look, like a woman that ratted out her boyfriend. Did the FBI have such flimsy evidence against this guy that the live-in girly friend had to be enlisted? Knowing some American women, she probably volunteered. Ahem, for those ready to attack Follieri, he has only been charged; innocent until proven guilty is still in effect in this country. This is not Zimbabwe.

Comment: @goldeniangel - No offense but 1) this article is most clearly not an attack on Anne Hathaway's prowess of observance (or lack there of) and 2) to be frank, Miss Hathaway was in a romantic relationship with Follieri and is arguably the most publicly recognizable single figure to be associated with him; by virtue of her experience with the need to manage public perception and make absolutely certain that she is not associated with people or groups that can harm her reputation, she should have known better. I can't imagine that it would have taken much effort on her part to make sure that the man that she was getting involved with was not such an egregious fraud, at least for someone in her position. Let's take the sexism blinders off shall we?

Comment: Why is it everyone's down on Anne Hathaway and not the idiots who invested all the money and let him get away with it? i mean, he's sitting there bringing in all this money because of his business which is full of investors who apparently believed in him, so why should she even have been suspicious?! But no, much easier to deride the girlfriend than you take a closer look at the MEN who were fooled by him.
