The dumbing down of America. Everything evil can be explained away by two words "Global Warming"
First and foremost, Al Gore is a certifiable moronic egomaniac. Second the global warming mantra is the best propaganda the green nuts have ever had fall in their laps. Is it really true that if you repeat a lie enough times it becomes reality?

I remember in the 70's we were causing global cooling. Please look at long term...ie hundreds or thousands of years to find your answers, not decades. Sick and tired of having left wing trash shoved down our throat...even though I KNOW it's not politically correct to refuse to embrace the global warming theory or accept Al Gore as the next great prophet. Wev'e had 3 ice ages, wev'e had tropical climes well in to the northern latitudes, and all before automobiles and factories...hmmm.
We need to be decent stewards of the earth, but we don't all have to become econuts.

I find it very ironic that they would use a photoshop created image as the attention grabber on MSN in a story that is trying to "prove" that these disasters are due to global warming. The photo in question is of Chapman Kansas with an American flag in the center and the grain elevators in the back. I live near Chapman and recognize the location where the base photo was taken. However, the tornado hit at 10:20 PM and it was pitch dark out. I watched that same tornado go 3 miles south of my house west of Chapman. I could barely make out the tornado and only when the lightning flashed behind it because it was so dark. It is just a shame that newsweek is so unscrupulous as to use a photoshop job to provide a visual image of global warming causing natural (mother nature made) disasters.

This magazine loses credibility from stories like this. It's more like the National Enquirer now instead of a legitimate news magazine. It's no secret what agenda they're pushing because they have zero objectivity in their reporting and as you can see by the comments here, it shows.

If man is to blame for the rise in temps then why has Nasa rovers shown that the temps are also rising on planets where there is no human life causing rising cabon dioxide levels. Also last year there were many less hurricanes than predicted by the so called experts, do to cooler than normal atmosphere temps. And cooler temps are also needed to produce more forceful tornados. So I think the answer is FALSE.

The dominant greenhouse gas is WATER, not carbon dioxide. It is responsible for up to 95% of the so-called "greenhouse effect". Carbon dioxide is only a minor player, and Man's activities put only about 3% as much CO2 into the atmosphere yearly as does Nature. How does the atmosphere distinguish between them? Its concentration is believed to have increased from 0.00028 of the atmosphere to 0.00038 over the past couple of hundred years.
There are numerous pros and cons as to the cause of Global Warming.
After some study and research I share with you the various opinions.

We've seen this type of thing throughout the world, like snow for the first time in the middle east..etc. Yet we keep hearing "warming". hmmmm

This author spews out her thoughts and conjecture like she's a qualified scientist but she just looks ridiculous. Since our earth has been in existence scientists have proven that it has gone through many cooler and hotter periods all on it's own. What if the earth is getting warmer now? It's a natural occurance and then, it will go through a cooler period again. I like how these liberal nuts are startingt to change their terminology from 'global warming' to 'climate change'. They had to do that when some areas had extremely cold temperatures or no change at all. Their new term can encompass so much that they can blame anything and everything that occurs on humans. Get your facts from real scientists, MS Begley, and not politicians.

Although the American military has actually published a detailed document "Owning the Weather by 2025", many people will simply say "I don't believe it" when confronted with this. Why? They may say because it has not been reported in the mass media, it must not be real. (Some others will say this is a prime indication that it is real, because most of what the mass media publishes is fantasy.) But normally any military power must be kept secret, and the major media outlets are well aware that they must not cross this line or they could be shut down. Freedom of the press is allowable only if "national security" policies are not breached.

In the first line of the last paragraph they state, "Hurricanes have become more powerful due to global warming". This is conjecture, not fact. But they state it as such. They keep trying to push stronger cool-aid, but not everyone is drinking it.
And as MEGARIFF stated, temps are COOLING not warming. So many scientists around the globe are saying that sunspot activity which is actually related to warming/cooling has ceased... which means a cooling period.
Take your cool-aid elsewhere.
