Whether global warming is manmade or not is not a problem for the globe.
Believe or not, this planet is getting warmer.
Whether green house gas is manmade or not is not a problem for the global warming.
For sure, green house gas is increasing rapidly.

There is a planet with thick green house gas which is ultra hot.
The name of that planet is the Venus, the evidence of green house gas effect.
Of course, her green house gas is not manmade!

Whether green house gas is manmade or not is not a problem we have here today.
We should prevent green house gas increase, just like we should build dikes to prevent future possible flood. We never mind that the flood could be natural or manmade when we build dikes.

The next question is, are we able to prevent green house gas increase?
    Yes we can.
As long as there is manmade green house gas, we can reduce that manmade portion of it, at least.
You may say manmade portion is not enough to prevent green house gas increase which causes global warming.

But you must remember, God helps those who help themselves.
We should do what we can.
We should do ALL we can, and pray for ourselves.
Pray, may they be wrong, after we did all we can!
Pray, may the God Almighty save us, after we did all we should!

Where is the proof that there is actually a phenomenon called "Global Warming?" All I have been able to find is a bunch of environmentalists trying to scare me into a faith in their "religion." I will not be swayed by a liberal media, a former VEEP, or any of his bleeding heart buddies! I WILL NOT DRINK THE KOOL-AID!

    • Posted By: cna0705 @ 07/03/2008 12:15:57 PM

      Kool Aid?!?!? what flavor? ; 0 )

  • Posted By: bbozorth @ 07/03/2008 12:15:20 PM

Bunk!!!!It is arguments like this that have grown thin. Everytime there is a storm, a hurricane, hot weather it is blamed on global warming.....Answer:FALSE!!!

  • Posted By: midnightblue4221 @ 07/03/2008 11:10:08 AM

I'm shocked that most of you think Global Warming is a hoax! It's impossible to polute the air without an effect! I'm sure it's also used as political propaganda and I'm not sure it's as bad as it's made out to be! However, you can not put toxins in the air without an effect! It's the same as putting toxins in your body and thinking your perfectly healthy! You can not have a 'cause' without an 'effect'!

    • Posted By: ryanclose @ 07/03/2008 11:22:40 AM

Concerning toxins in the air: Toxins are poisons. Poisons do not effect the weather, they kill animal and plant organisms. Concerning religion: The Bible does not necessarily teach that all things are getting worse and worse until Jesus pushes the ejection seat button and the Christians escape the planet earth. It is the more probable reading that from a purely Biblical / Christian perspective that the end of time may not be for several thousand more years. Understanding that Christ did not come to save individual soul only but to redeem and glorify the entire created order should fill Christians with greater concern for environmental stewardship. But by and large, this is an in house debate between secular journalists and has nothing to do with either religion or science.

      • Posted By: midnightblue4221 @ 07/03/2008 11:33:07 AM

I'm not a scientist so I'm just going by what makes sense to me! And this is just an opinion/observation....if toxins are released in the air, and they can kill plants and animals...why wouldn't that effect our air which does effect the wheather!? Like I said, I'm not a scientist, maybe I'm wrong but normally, when something doesn't make sense, it's not true! but I would be interested in learning more about it!

        • Posted By: eclipx @ 07/03/2008 11:53:56 AM

Okay... if something doesn't make sense it doesn't necessarily make it not true. It just means you don't understand it. Not understanding something has no affect on it's reality.

          • Posted By: midnightblue4221 @ 07/03/2008 12:15:17 PM

Well, neither one of us are scientist! I doubt anyone on here is! And I have a very high sense of common sense so unless someone can prove that toxins to not effect our environment, I wil continue to believe that they do! But thanks for your input! Whether we agree or not, it's always nice to hear what others have to say!

Why was it so cold in the 60s and 70 when all the steel plants were humming and there was a constant BLACK CLOUD of filth over the globe from it?!!!

      WAKE UP!!!

      • Posted By: eclipx @ 07/03/2008 11:56:35 AM

Because there was a mini ice age in the 1700's that was staved away by all the industrialization. That mini ice age receded because of all the carbon dioxide produced then. Now we're entering a global warming phase. Talk about humans affecting the climate.

    • Posted By: dzhunter @ 07/03/2008 11:23:27 AM

one volcano emits more polutants then all of the cars in the country. they exist today, they existed in the past, and they will continue to exist in the future. It is not the human element it is nature. It has been going on for 4.5 billion years.

      • Posted By: midnightblue4221 @ 07/03/2008 11:30:57 AM

I realize that natural elements can be harmful as well! But the things we people do as a part of our daily routine can't help the matter either! I'm guilty of it as well! We all are! It sure wouldn't hurt if we used more eco-friendly products and lessened our intake & use of harmful elements!

every thing ever mentioned about global warming to me is a load of crap. i beleive its the world doing its own changes.people should stop and study world changes from the beginning of time and get a clue!

    • Posted By: cna0705 @ 07/03/2008 11:24:27 AM

Absolutely!!! Weather has been changing and coming full circle for thousands of years!

      • Posted By: eclipx @ 07/03/2008 12:11:49 PM

Try millions... and you're right. It has been cycling... it doesn't help though that we're pushing further and faster in a potentially devastating direction. Whenever there have been drastic changes in weather, huge numbers of species died out because they couldn't handle the change. Luckily we happen to be an intelligent species that had to evolve intelligence to cope with those drastic changes. We will be ill-prepared to cope with such changes though with a population so huge. There's over 6 billion people on this planet and we all need food and shelter. With the increase in catastrophic events destroying shelter and the increase in droughts and floods destroying crops we're going to eventually have a serious population reduction. The only thing that matters is that we stop encouraging this natural event through use of carbon fuels so we have time to build necessary structures and technologies to cope with it.

The answer is false. Global wamring is a joke. Al Gore and his ilk are doing nothing more than using scare tactics to push their agenda and liberlal media is all to eager to gobble everything they say up. For every accusation made about global wamring a scientist can be found to refute it.

  • Posted By: Moonrose @ 07/03/2008 12:00:34 PM

...from what I understand from reading the works of hard scientists, global warming may have more to do with what is going on in outerspace than in what humans are doing. Radiation from supernovas and asteroids coming near to us have been proven to make major changes in our atmosphere that leads to warming then freezing. That aside, it still behooves us to change our polluting ways so that all may have enough energy and breath clean air and drink clean water for generations to come.

    • Posted By: Metastasio @ 07/03/2008 12:10:08 PM

There was an AP article published in the last year about a warmer trend on Mars. It commented that scientists had recorded a warming trend on the inner planets of the solar system. Furthermore, the article forwarded that this warming scientists believed was connected to an increase in the sun's temperature.

Now, I'm not a scientist, but a more likely candidate for warming would be the sun over people and our actions. I will dig up the article and post it.

Climatologists? Is that the new name for "Chicken Little?" I wonder how many cars did Noah and his family have to cause that flood. And how come the "Chicken Littles" aren't preaching global warming up in Minnesota in the middle of January?

  • Posted By: liquidmental@msn.com @ 07/03/2008 11:51:48 AM

does anyone remmember how hot it was when the DINOSUARS lived? you think they poluted the envoirnment too much with all their cars and stuff? or maybe the fact that they had no polution caused an ice age? it would be funny to read a blog from the dinosuars just before they all died ... I wounder if they would think they too were changing the invornment ... that would be ironic, wouldnt it.

    • Posted By: top.em @ 07/03/2008 12:05:52 PM

i have a question for you. how hot was it when dinosaurs roamed the earth? second of all. when dinosaurs lived they didnt require all the things that humans do therefore there was no polution. and third it has been proven over and over that what caused the ice age was the asteroid that ended the mesozoic era.

  • Posted By: tiebetanwildflower @ 07/03/2008 12:02:06 PM

Yes, I believe Global Warming is to blame for the disasters that are happening to earth.

  • Posted By: Metastasio @ 07/03/2008 11:59:59 AM

In the 70's, weren't the scientists concerned about an encroaching ice age? "Extreme weather" is a stupid term. The weather's always been "extreme." "Scientists" claim that we caused the midwest floods. If that's so, do you think if everyone tried to stop the floods we'd have much success? It's important to note, that because of socialized education we are at historic learning lows. The average public school high school grad has the education level of late elementary/middle school child two generations ago. If we keep emphasizing "work" over knowledge and logic, we'll see more and more of these ridiculous articles. Funny thing is, people believe them!

  • Posted By: jeanne32 @ 07/03/2008 11:13:16 AM

I am glad you believe in religion. However, religion is irrelevant. Things to dont have to get worse, it is our choice how we live our lives, if you really know the bible then you would recall the fact that he died in order to give us choices. It is our choice to get upset at political figures for not drilling oil offshore, when in reality this is a pivoting point in our lifetime in which we need to change the way we live. Not the sake for reigion or politics but the sake of humanity.

    • Posted By: eclipx @ 07/03/2008 11:59:28 AM

That's hilarious. So we didn't have choices before that? That's just like saying the Tower of Babel created all the difference languages. LOL!

Whether the sense in that is threat of global warming whether or not, and in that that it is time to introduce alternative energy sources and what sense from that that plants absorb CO2 if them cut down with such speed that one century is required not that them to update
The earlier use of alternative energy sources will be introduced, the smaller consequences will take place from an exhaustion of resources of oil.

  • Posted By: sspeedy @ 07/03/2008 11:58:49 AM

If we don't save the plants and animals, what do you plan on eating???

  • Posted By: cna0705 @ 07/03/2008 11:11:13 AM

Can anyone say "Cyclical"? What I see here is mother nature taking it's course just as it did for thousands of years before.

Can we cut down on the pollution, emissions, garbage and etc... of course. It doesn't help the situation. However, when whiny Gore is stamping his feet, I get very skeptical of what his true agenda is.

    • Posted By: eclipx @ 07/03/2008 11:58:06 AM

Of course it's cyclical. We're just pushing it further and faster than it would have otherwise occured.

  • Posted By: ep1429 @ 07/03/2008 11:40:46 AM

    Stupid. Absolutely stupid.
    A) Prove that we really know what a 500-year weather event looks like in this country. We haven't even been keeping records that long.
    B) More rain? Higher temps and longer growing seasons? Sounds like plants, and subsequently every living creature that feeds on plants, are loving life. It's arrogant of us to believe that this climate is the most ideal for life on this planet simply because it's the climate we have now.
    C) Which is the bigger threat: changing temps or rogue meteors? More living creatures survive the temperature fluxuations that Earth has been experiencing for the last 4 BILLION YEARS than have survived the extinction level events brought about by cosmic debris hitting us. We've got more pressing problems.
    D) Didn't Mt. St. Helen's 1980s eruption spew more CO2 into the atmosphere than humans have released during the entire industrial revolution? Hmmm... I seem to remember it LOWERING global temps...
    E) Let's bear in mind that the Earth is in no danger from humans. No matter what we do, the Earth, and life in some form will continue after we're gone. It's humans who are in danger. We need to focus on saving one another before we begin to worry about saving the planet or the animals.

    • Posted By: lunatic84x @ 07/03/2008 11:56:44 AM

I agree with what you said about the weather changes throughout the past billion years , however I doubt that there were factories and cars around...
And it's also so funny that most of the people on the media that are against global warming happen to be really wealthy and related to industrial activities.
I also agree about Mt.St.Helen's , but that only happened once, our polluting goes day by day , it builds up.
It is very true , we humans ARE in danger , but let's say we survive, what's the point if there's no earth , we are not gonna float in the air right?
I respect your opinion but do not agree completely with it

More journalism from newsweek... oh wait did I put newsweek and journalism in the same sentence. That was thehe mistake of the century. When you have no credibility, like the good ol' biased unproven opinion of the sickened liberals at newsweek, there is no point in trying to convey a message, except for that of PROPAGANDA. These super rich, out of touch, couldn't survive one day without a latte, arrogant, holier than thou are so stuck on trying not to be proven wrong that they do not care for one single fact unless it contributes to their UNPROVEN theories. How are heat waves in America linked to GLOBAL warming. Heat waves in America have NOTHING to do with GLOBAL temperatures. Furthermore, according to these "journalists" we are doomed, what is a few less tons of CO2 going to do? Delay the end of the world by about 10 years. If it even delays it by 50 years, I say who gives a F@*k. Lets party like its 1999 or 2099 or whatever, lets party. Buy that SUV you've always wanted, take those plane flights to discover the Globe before its too late, live a little, throw that plastic bottle in the landfill, hell let your car idle in the drive way all day. Crank on all those lights, AC, TV's whatever contributes to speeding up the effects of Global Warming. I would work overtime to pay all these ridiculous energy costs if I new it would drive one environmentalist so crazy that he/she would jump off the Golden Gate Bridge. Oh, and just remember the more people buy into this crap being spewed from the mouths of the elitists at News-freak, the more energy companies are able to jack their prices in the name of 'saving the planet'. I bet the biggest conspiracy of all time is the Big Oil companies are in the back pockets of environmentalists getting each other rich by these very tactics. Scare the world into thinking we are at peak oil and they wont mind paying so much for gas and if burning it causes global warming then jacking the prices even more will make them not want to drive as much and everybody's happy. What a crock.

If we were to believe all of the Scientist when they report there agenda on global warming then we would all have lived thru another ICE AGE as reported during the 60's - 80's. I know that we only receive partial information on the true studies.
I wonder when the major media will find the report on the Volcanoes located under polar ice.........hmm!!! The poor polar bear knows how to swim, but he won't be able to out swim a volcanic lava flow!!! Why would we be to blame for the melting of polar ice caps when the earth itself is going thru its cycle. I also wonder why people don't stop and think about the fact that we are below average temp. in some of the Midwest; and that would explain the high volume of tornadoes; because tornadoes need COLD (not warm) air to exist.....think that on thru. I also wonder when they will report on the lack of solar flairs that are currently occurring and would possibly explain the cooler temps. in the world........remember that the earth has settled is so called "warming" trend over the past 10 years.

I have also noticed that even the founder of Green Peace has stated that the global warming crowd has gone amuck...........I wonder what makes a man so devout in his belief's to change??? Could it be that the socialist and communist movement has found a way in our nation to shut down Capitalism bit by bit??

    Thanks, Joe from Ohio
