    its nice to hear that americans are buying israeli formats for TV, but the sadder fact is that besides a few single good series, the israeli television, is a load of crap, tons of reality shows, all from israeli idol, survivor, 1 against 100 etc.

    It would be more logicial to presume the enroumous number of Jewish people in hollywood were visiting Israel and saw these programs thus inspiring their decision to bring them to the United States. I doubt Americans are that different from the rest of the world because the rest of the world watches are TV shows anyway. I think this article is a pro israel propaganda peice and such crap is pretty sickening at this point. There is a reason Israel's reputation is in the toilet, talking about imported TV shows won't keep a kid in Gaza from getting shot by the IDF.

      edwardnow: the point of the article is that Israeli programs are smart, inventive and have enormous appeal to the US and global tv viewing market. If the product is genuinely good - and this is tested by viewship - then what about this article is propaganda?

        although it's nice to read an american who cares about politics so much, it's sad to see he's got no clue. you now what edwardnow? the good food of Gaza [and it's amazing] won't stop them from firing rockets at a school or a hospital, like they do in the past 7 year. But I guess you were too busy to notice that.
        Still, they fire at my home and I don't have problems saying there art is good because it has nothing to do with the conflict

    edwardnow: You're a racist dumbass. I'm European and I could easily hate you based on the fact that your government and leader are terrible. How about that? Your comments won't keep a poor innocent person in Iraq from getting shot by American soldiers.
    Point is - keep politics out of this. It would be preferred if you kept yourself away from society as well.
