  Unfortunately the history of Africa is marred by this type of despotism and human rights violations. Though African Americans often decry the white masters of America (by the way, a very small percentage of slaves were brought to the shores of what is now the USA--most went to the Caribean and Central and South America). Chieftans often sold their own tribal members to Arab Traders (many were Obama's ancestors). Others captured men, women and children from other tribes in raids and sold them for profit to the Muslim Traders who took them to slave forts and thence onto the ships. Mechaele, my hope for African Nations is that they will be rid of these tyrants and their followers and the we won't fall into the trap of electing Obama (Kenyan by citizenship as well as US) who has recently participated in this very tyranical proscess by supporting his Luo cousin Odinga on the ground with campaigning in person and with funding to become the President of Kenya. When Odinga failed, Obama's cuz and his followers started cutting up their Kikuyu neighbors with machetes and burning them alive in Christian churches. This Odinga had promised to enact Sharia (Muslim) law throughout Kenya within one year in an MOU with Islamist tribal leaders. Obama pledged allegiance to Africa first and the Black Agenda first in his church. We need a leader for all Americans who will truly be a leader of the free world and do all in his power to see that all nations on God's green earth can breath the freedom we have here.
  
  It is the freedom that draws everyone and the reason we have to try to block our borders. Everyone can't come here--let's make sure the rest of the world is safe for people to live in.

    A little ignorance and bigotry apparently goesa long way. It would be nice if you could get your facts right.
    Modern Africa's history is rife with garbage 'leaders' and we are working to rid the continent of them. There's plenty of blame to be apportioned as to how they got so powerful but that is almost irrelevant at this point.
    
    I'm not sure where Obama comes in but here are a few corrections:
    I didn't know that Obama had Arab slave trader ancestors. If on the other hand you're referring to the Luo, it's news to me, a Kenyan (Kikuyu), that Luo's were involved in the slave trade- I thought it was Kambas that did but I doubt it matters to you as long as you can put in your anti-Obama dig. Luo's live about as far from the ocean as you can get and still be in Kenya, I wonder how they'd have accomplished that. Even if Luo's had been slave traders, so what? What has that to do with Obama? He grew up without his Kenyan dad so I'd imagine he'd be untainted by our horrendous African behaviours, or is it genetic?
    
    Kenya DOES NOT allow DUAL CITIZENSHIP so I'm not sure how Obama gets to be both Kenyan and American. He would have had to come to Kenya before he was an adult and denounce his American citizenship if he were to claim citizenship through his father's citizenship. I'm not aware of that happening.
    
    On to the Odinga-Obama connection. ODINGA has been qutoed variously referring to Obama as many types of relative. Odinga is an idiot who will say anything to increase his popularity, case in point he's currently shouting the loudest against Mugabe to score points with the International community which he has been actively courting long before our disputed election. This alleged relationship between the two has been widely repudiated by the facts.
    
    Your Obama-Muslim scare tactic is contradicted by your own allegation that he pledged allegiance to Africa 1st in his CHURCH! Or is he some type of interdenominational Islamic-Christian hybrid? I didn't realise that the two were compatible.
    If you choose to vote McCain or whomever, go ahead, but stop with the lies about Obama.
    
    On to Mugabe, this homicidal maniac needs to go. He is an illustration of our leaders at their worst- perhaps only Bokassa and Amin were worse, though Nguema is not much better. If credible leaders denounced him it certainly would surely hold more power than it does when the likes of Odinga who have blood on their hands make the denounciations.
    The AU needs to grow some teeth soon. It was lovely that Mugabe led Zim to independence but he has surely been rewarded enough. Zimbabwe would still be free today even if he had not done so. Zimbabweans should not have to put up with him ad infintum just because of something he did a lifetime ago.
