The whole Corporate sponsered Political Party, both Republican and Democrat , represent Corporate Interests, not the Voters... Spinning, Lying, Flip Flopping, mis- leading is standard proceedure for most of both Branches of the Controling Political Party...Neither Branch has truly stood up for the USA and Voters... NO Suprise!

Back to the subject of the article. Barack Husseing Obama is a phoney anyone who is not in the tank for him(this would exclude MSNBC and Newsweek) knows this. He claimed to be the new poltics when he is just the same old liberal pol with a handsome multicultural face.

All you righties who worred that Obama would lean so far left he'd have us become socialist, I guess you can't say I didn't tell you -- any candidate, no matter how far right or left, winds up in the center. It's the nature of our system.

I don't mind the flip-flopping by either candidate so much, though it points painfully to the level of expediency required to win the White House -- but what DOES worry me is the chance that we might "talk" ourselves into a war in Iran before too much longer. That would be a terrible mistake.

Let Iran have its nuclear weapon, as long as they don't use it. Most nukes are totally useless anyhow; they're just preventative measures - deterrents, in other words. They sort of cancel each other out. India, Israel, Pakistan and other countries in the Middle East/Far East have them; we, the USA, are probably the biggest proliferators of nuclear weapons -- and the irony is, we should be using nuclear for peaceful, ENERGY purposes, as Iran has stated was its original purpose in acquiring uranium...

Well, well, well, so what else is new with US politics?

..................................It is interesting that during the Primary Elections John McCain was accusing Mitt Romney of being a big time "flip flopper" now it is very clear that McCain is "flip flopping" his positions to match public opinion polls in hopes of gaining support. McCain is remaking himself and his positions each week!!

Let us re-examine the nature of flip-flops. There are flip-flops where a canidate has grown to understand a position and have assumed a new position and then there is flip-flops that are just for the sake of pandering. Yes Obama turned his back on public finance and good for him too. The fact that McCain had used public finance for his benefit, then dropped it when ihe no longer needed it, then picked it back up to say see I'm still in it. I think McCain's approach is a far cry from just dropping out one time and not taking advantage of it to begin with.

What interest me is that all the media takes great pride and making sure we the people know what Obama is doing and saying; yet, point of fact, you give very little effort to the constant pandering that McCain is committing. Granted I understand everyone is entitled to their opinions but then don't call yourselves newspersons.

This is not news, this junk is days old and tired. If I really want to know what is going on it is best for me to keep my eyes on the internet, not tv, not magazines or newspapers. You people have a wonderful habit of staying on the same page and never telling us what is happening on the other side of the page.

In a nut shell, yes Obama has flip-flopped, but McCain has brought it to a new art form level that has not been reached so quitely via the media in my life time. I know in order to produce for the big corporations that's behind all these main stream talking heads the media has been requested to keep the race tight. Well it's the summer time, not many people are looking or listening and the few that are would find it refreshing it the news could be about the business of reporting the news (all) not just select excerts that usually involve Obama and not the crap McCain is pulling (which he does so constantly).

This label is pathetic! Obama has just completed a long and intensive primary, through which his involvement and interaction with the American people has informed him about the true democratic position, by that I mean what the majority of the people believe... of course politicians will have their own views, but it is their responsibility to make thier case while listening to the people and if after that process they conclude that people are still not totally intune with their perspective, that they shift their perspective to reflect the democratic i.e. majority position. If Obama did not take the people's view on guns and financing on board I would then class him as being elitist, but he has listen to people and shifted his positions accordingly but in a way which allows the discussions to continue... he has not abandoned his views and as a principled politician he will continue to seek to influence the American people... but the democratic principle says that he must reflect the will of the people....
