    Hi Sharenews!

Apparently BO's camp is already in damage control mode. He already has the Loud-Mouth Surrogates (W. Clark) starting the game.

I guess he's concerned about his PATRIOTISM and his position on LATE-TERM ABORTIONS huh?

Kid Fox: "I SWEAR AMERICA! I REALLY AM A GOOD CHRISTIAN AMERICAN!!! John, the veteran, is no more patriotic than me---but I'd never say that out loud. Oops I just said it, but you know what I mean" LMFAO!!!

Sharenews, thanks for being one of the first bloggers to bring his abortion position to light. Keep up the good work!!!

      Late-term/Born Alive Issue

  • Posted By: tippology1 @ 07/01/2008 11:20:16 PM

Comment: Obama is by far the media???s favorite in this election, he can do no wrong. I don't know what the general public sees in this guy but he has them all fooled. Newsweek and the editors of the media outlet have to print a story like this to protect their investment. Obama is dollar signs to the media because people will watch the networks and read their articles generating MONEY MONEY and more MONEY. The entire election process so for is full of S...T.. on the sole purpose that things are not even. You have one candidate calling for change and yet use the same principles that we are all use to seeing, and he is perceived as the great hope for America. And the other candidate expressing the need for America to tackle some real issues such as the economy, the energy crisis and globalization and he get a footnote if he???s lucky.

America can be dumb if they want to be. The people can elect a guy in office who is far less experience and will drive for higher taxes if they want too, but if and when that happens be ready for whatever develops which will be inflation and I will be smiling because I told you so.. Or we can take the high road and go with the smart choice and be safe. A far as Obama being Christian, until the election is over he will say anything that will get him into office. The guy was born into the Muslim faith and will forever have some ties to the Muslim faith. I have studied the faith and it???s just as thoughtful as the next, but it carries baggage and Obama doesn???t want that. I wonder will he leave his Muslim grandmother in the village if he becomes president or bring her to the White House in from of the cameras? If he does maybe she will say she???s Christian too.

If I was a Muslim I would be deeply offended by this man because he would of bear the same name as I would have according to faith and yet he wants nothing to do with me. Come on people wake up. A Muslim can do nothing for Obama but vote for him and pay higher taxes for him because that all they are good for, and this is suppose to be our leader wow some CHANGE in what I should believe in. Obama is dirty and you people have got to wake up before it???s too late. Get your head out of you???re a???s???..s???..and let???s take our country into the world of globalization where it needs to be. Let???s go head on with the rest of the global market and become more competitive and stop pointing fingers because it???s getting us no where. We as Americans can blame no one but ourselves for not rebuilding our cities to make them more advances and re-educating our workers whose jobs are lost of overseas markets. We did this to our selves and the last thing we need is a promise to change by a person who can???t decide who is from Monday to Sunday. Is it Barack or Barry, Barry or Barack, America you choose but choose wisely?

    • Posted By: Concerned Ctzn @ 07/02/2008 10:44:34 AM

      Tippology1,

I agree with most of your post. However, the whole globalization thing (aka NAFTA/CAFTA or Free Trade Agreements in general) kinda scares me. I know that it's pretty much inevitable by way of natural geo-econ progression, but IMHO I think we need to put the brakes on for a bit right now. Some like to call it PROTECTISM! Even McCain! And here's where I disagree with him. Personally, I think that it's perfectly okay at times to be somewhat of a protectionist, especially when we have a lot of folks here fighting for jobs.

C'mon Mc! What's this nonsense about you traveling the world right now talking up FTA's?! Stop it sir! With all due respect, you need to focus on jobs here in America first and foremost! Most folks here don't give a hoot about creating jobs in Mexico or in Latin America. Big John you need to assemble your folks and lock yourselves up in the FTA Think Tank again until you get things right. I know that there are many pros & cons to FTA's, but now is not the time to be talking them up.

May God Bless this Great Country!

Hi Share, this is your friend Sonny (CC). Sonny & Share ... haha! I know, keep my day job right? (smile)

Anyway, if you or anybody else on these blogs really wants to get a handle on what's really going on in our nation, as well as globally (geopolitics), I highly recommend Naomi Klein latest book:

        "The Shock Doctrine"

She covers a variety of important issues, including Marxism, Geo-Corporatism, Disaster Capitalism, Milton Friedman, Chicago School of economics (geo-laissez-faire - aka NAFTA/CAFTA, etc).

Bottom line: The book gives one a good overall view of wuz up today. And yes, history does tend to repeat itself. Well, more like our Govmt loves strategic and convenient sequels.

Looks like people are beginning to see the truth about Hussein. And the Sinclair story is really heating up. Looks like Joe (Beau) Biden III, might have to answer to some embarrasing facts. Is anyone in the DNC not a crook? Hey NewsWeak ...poll this story.

    MSNBC.com/Washington Post:

???Here in Findlay, [*Ohio] a Rust Belt town of 40,000, false [*yeah right] rumors about Obama have built enough word-of-mouth credibility to harden into an alternative biography. Born on the Internet, the rumors now meander freely across the flatlands of northwest Ohio ??? through bars and baseball fields, retirement homes and restaurants.???

???On the television in his living room, Peterman has watched enough news and campaign advertisements to hear the truth [*yeah right]: Sen. Barack Obama, born in Hawaii, is a Christian family man with a track record of public service. But on the Internet, in his grocery store, at his neighbor???s house, at his son???s auto shop, Peterman has also absorbed another version of the Democratic candidate???s background, one that is entirely false : Barack Obama, born in Africa, is a possibly gay Muslim racist who refuses to recite the Pledge of Allegiance.???

Can you please post your birth certificate on the internet. You're naivety seems incredible! I don't know a lot of High School students that could possibly be falling for this, but here goes.

If the birth certificate was forged, the allegation is that there is some question whether Obama could be a U.S. Citizen. The reason being that he is alleged to have been born only a couple years after Hawaii became a state. If he is really older than that, maybe he isn't a citizen.

By that logic, George Washington was not a U.S. citizen, and therefore not elligable. Neither were most of our first presidents.
The reality is even if he was born earlier than he really was, Hawaii became a state. It would be ludicrous to think that Hawaii voted to become the state of a country that would not accept them as citizens, but if you want to go there that's fine.
The Hawaii Admissions Act gave all rights enjoyed by current US citizens to the new state of Hawaii. Essentially that does away with any motive to deal with a birth before Hawaii became a state.

Furthermore, I don't think he would qualify to be a US Senator if he wasn't a citizen.

What this does prove though is that the people who mention the words "Kool-Aid" the most are most likely the ones that are drinking to much of it.

Here is an interesting article. Lengthy, but worth the read:

    Commentary Magazine
    ARTICLE: Obama's War
    Peter Wehner
    April 2008

    Excerpts from article:

    - Almost as soon as the war began in March 2003, Obama had second thoughts about his opposition to it. Watching the dramatic footage of the toppling of Saddam???s statue in Baghdad, and then the President???s speech aboard the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln, ???I began to suspect,??? he would write later in his autobiographical The Audacity of Hope (2006), ???that I might have been wrong.??? And these second thoughts seem to have stayed with him throughout the entire first phase of the occupation following our initial combat victory. As he told the Chicago Tribune in July 2004, ???There is not that much difference between my position and George Bush???s position at this stage.???

    - Barack Obama does not represent an authentic new BRAND in American politics; rather, he has shown himself to be an exceptionally adept political animal who can adjust to the prevailing political winds with seamless ease.

As the election season progresses, it remains to be seen what tortuously defended new positions will be embraced by this consistently political politician, and what price they will exact in his reputation as a principled and courageous new voice.

"We just had 8 years of a C-average student running our country. NOW, we're going to elect an actual "FAILURE"?!?!?!?!!?"

He fails a test, but succeeds in combat and in service. It is a shame you consider that to be a problem. You fail at true intelligence. I don't even support McCain, but to try and remove his entire efforts, suffering and strengths during a time of war because he failed the test beforehand that was on a piece of paper...is so idiotic, it just hurts to read someone be so narrow.

We are voting for the President of the United States. Things we need to be concerned about is foreign relations and economics. Quit worrying about who wears a flag pin, who failed a test 50 years ago and other such trivial things. We need someone elected to the office who has skills, strength and intelligence in the areas that will benefit our country. Not just you, not just what you think is right, but EVERYONE in the country...whomever that may be for your views, that is fine.

But when you go to the polls, don't go to "win", don't go because you have dirt on "the other guy". Go because your sacred right to vote is stirring in your heart and you are voting to make a choice for what you think is best in the areas that matter most.

Get your head out of the mud people...as long as these endless threads about stuff that doesn't matter fills your head, you will never think of a possible outcome that would be more beneficial. Which means, we will still have the same crummy selections year after year unless you actual put your vote where your mouth is...you embarrass yourself with your glee in finding fault in others. Faults and "virtues" that will do nothing to or for our country.

My comment: Of course he's all for this now. For some strange reason the FOX should end up fooling the "electorate" (because he will NOT fool the masses) he wants to make sure he maintains authoritarian rule. He will probably end up being just as paranoid as Nixon and "W". SAD! AND SCARY!!! WAKE UP AMERICA!!!

C'mon all you BO lovin' atheist and agnostics! Isn't that one of the main reasons why you're voting for this guy? Because he was suppose to be the exact opposite of "W"? Another reason why McCain does not have the unique qualities it takes to be Cammander in Chief

    "passportgate"

Two issues need to be looked into. Why was this buried
until after the contract with Stanley was awarded and
who held up the release of this information. And
second, whether in fact McCain was in fact breached at
all. Many (except the media) are saying that McCain
    was not breached.

My review of the Board and Managers of Stanley
revealed that many, if not most, were former Navy
officers and/or Annapolis graduates. When I tracked
the option transaction of the senior officials I found
the dates paralleled the incursions into private
files. The story was buried until after the
    announcement of the one-half-billion-dollar contract
with State on 17 March. McCain certainly must know
    these people.

Another reason why McCain does not have the unique qualities to be Commander in Chief

Many Vietnam veterans and former POWs have fumed at

McCain for keeping these and other wartime files

sealed up. His explanation, offered freely in Senate

hearings and floor speeches, is that no one has been

proven still alive and that releasing the files would

revive painful memories and cause needless emotional

stress to former prisoners, their families and the

families of MIAs still unaccounted for. But what if

some of these returned prisoners, as has always been

the case at the conclusion of wars, reveal information

to their debriefing officers about other prisoners

believed still held in captivity? What justification

is there for filtering such information through the

Pentagon rather than allowing access to source

materials? For instance, debriefings from returning

Korean war POWs, available in full to the American

public, have provided both citizens and government

investigators with important information about other

Americans who went missing in that conflict.

You have closure John (or do you) don't you think it would be presidential to give closure to your brothers in arms and their families?

Oh thats right you are not presidential thats why you can't do it.

On March 26, McCain gave a speech on foreign policy in Los Angeles that was billed as his most comprehensive statement on the subject. It contained within it the most radical idea put forward by a major candidate for the presidency in 25 years. Yet almost no one noticed.

In his speech McCain proposed that the United States expel Russia from the G8, the group of advanced industrial countries. Moscow was included in this body in the 1990s to recognize and reward it for peacefully ending the cold war on Western terms, dismantling the Soviet empire and withdrawing from large chunks of the old Russian Empire as well. McCain also proposed that the United States should expand the G8 by taking in India and Brazil-but pointedly excluded China from the councils of power.

We have spent months debating Barack Obama's suggestion that he might, under some circumstances, meet with Iranians and Venezuelans. It is a sign of what is wrong with the foreign-policy debate that this idea is treated as a revolution in U.S. policy while McCain's proposal has barely registered. What McCain has announced is momentous-that the United States should adopt a policy of active exclusion and hostility toward two major global powers. It would reverse a decades-old bipartisan American policy of integrating these two countries into the global order, a policy that began under with Beijing and continued with Moscow. It is a policy that would alienate many countries in Europe and Asia who would see it as an attempt by Washington to begin a new cold war.

Having a daddy, and grandaddy as decorated NAVAL officers, w/ the ability to keep your file TOP SECRET is unsettling. And, based on the unanswered questions about McCain's military service, I CANNOT say whether I respect his service, or not. I guess I am also UNDECIDED on that.

Do I hate McCain?......OF COURSE NOT. I don't know the man. But, I DO NOT agree w/ his policies, his voting record on Civil Rights, his treatment of women, his platform on Iraq, his economic policies...etc.....

And, honestly, I don't care whether you're "decided" or not. I've never questioned you about it, so there's no reason to disclose your choice to me. Save your self-importance for another blogger. Let them eat it up. I don't give a damn. W/ all due respect, of course.

    By JAMES KIRCHICK
    7/1/08 12:33 PM EST

    EXCERPT:

Writers Evan Thomas and Richard Wolfe concluded that the 2008 presidential election will be no different. It is a sure bet that the GOP will try to paint Obama as The Other ??? as a haughty black intellectual who has Muslim roots (Obama is a Christian) and hangs around with America-haters.

But has it been a SURE BET????

Not really. Thus far, no one with any serious affiliation to John McCain's campaign has resorted to the alleged SCARE tactics in which Republicans ??? and, apparently, only Republicans ??? have been perfecting since Richard Nixon was first elected. On the contrary, if the past few months have showed us anything, it is that the Obama campaign is the one dealing in CRUDE SMEARS.
