Nearly everyone that voted for GWB has admitted that it was a big mistake. He is probably the worst president this country (and many other countries) has ever had. Unfortunately there are a few of you diehards who are sticking with Bush and I can't figure out why. Maybe you are all rich oilmen or Halliburton executives, but if you you are not I can understand why would you want to support Bush and continue his failed policies and eight years of embarrassing leadershihp by voting for McCain.

I've been to a few Obama functions. but I have not been offered any Kool Aid yet. Nontheless I know that despite his imperfections; and yes I will admit that he is a politician; I trust that he will bring about the change that we need in this country. He (more correctly - WE) will not accomplish everything we hope to due to being blocked by some narrowminded, hateful people, but we will change this country and in so doing we will change this word.

I voted for Bush and I have no regrets!! It was a much better choice than voting for Kerry! The main reason Bush is not getting any where now is because of the democratic congress!! If the democrats really wanted to win the white house then maybe they should have picked a better candidate! A candidate that does not have the kind of friends that Obama has, like Rev. Wright and the rest of them!!! Your choioce of friends tells alot about a person!!! Both Obama and McCain are not my first choice of who I would have wanted to vote for, but I do think McCain is the better choice!!! I would like to know how anyone could want to vote for Obama after hearing about all his friends and 20 years at trinity church? At least McCain has been a polition long unough to know and understand politics and I think he is the candidate who is capable of real change and not just talk about change!!!!!!!

I don't sense ANY 'real-ness' to anything Obuma says about faith and religion. He just blatantly says whatever he thinks will get him some more votes. He is just about the biggest political whore I've ever seen. I guess he's been taking lessons from Hillary.....

        U.S. News & World Report
        BARACK OBAMA: Serial Flip-Flopper
        June 23, 2008
        By Bonnie Erbe

Both presidential candidates spent the weekend trying to explain away recent policy reversals. The predominant question for voters this November may well become: Whose list of flip-flops is longer and more egregious?

From where I sit, FLIP-FLOPPING is an unbeatable ADDICTION FOR OBAMA.
For McCain, by comparison, it is an occasional FOIBLE.

The flip-flops preoccupying them right now are on acceptance of PUBLIC financing for Obama and on offshore oil drilling for McCain. MCCAINs policy change MAKES SENSE given changed circumstances. Obamas is based purely on GREED.

McCain opposed offshore oil drilling before, but now says it should be pursued off the Florida coast. I do not support his new position. America should be promoting alternative energy sources, not drilling for more oil. BUT given the run-up in OIL PRICES, one can understand McCain's CHANGE OF HEART.

OBAMAS flip-flop, on the other hand, is purely about SELF-INTEREST:

He PROMISED to accept PUBLIC financing BEFORE he knew he could raise more money from donors. Now that he can raise twice as much from donors as Uncle Sam would give him if he forswore private donations, of course he is pursuing the bigger bucks. What is more troubling is OBAMAS LIST of flip-flops is so LIMITLESS, he is beginning to sound like he TAILORS HIS POSITION to whichever audience he is addressing at the moment:

        - When he spoke to an AIPAC meeting a couple of weeks back, he said he supports Israeli control of Jerusalem.
        - The next day, trying to placate angry Arab supporters, Obama said negotiators should work out the contentious Jerusalem issue.

          Continued from Above Post:

As a New York Post editorial observed:

??? Obama ripped Hillary Clinton for months for voting to list Iran's Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization. Days after Clinton conceded, Obama flipped and said he supported the definition.

??? Obama repeatedly vowed to meet with various heads of terror states???most notably Ahmadinejad of Iran???without preconditions. Then, with the nomination in sight, he zigzagged: There's no reason why we would necessarily meet with Ahmadinejad. He is not the most powerful person in Iran.

??? In October, he supported NAFTA expansion. In March, campaigning in the Ohio primary, he called for a reopening of the trade pacts terms. This week, he called his own primary rhetoric overheated and said NAFTA has had a positive effect on the US economy.

??? Yesterday, after signaling opposition to nuclear power, he told Democratic governors he is open to expanding it.

There are many, many other examples, some of which I have noted in prior posts. Change we can believe in? No, change we can count on, because as soon as he takes a position, we can count on the fact he is going to CHANGE it in FRONT OF THE NEXT AUDIENCE.

The end . . . Or should I say to be continued?
          --------------

One more BIGGIE I couldnt forget:

OBAMA SAYS: Dont tell me words dont matter!

OBAMA WORDS: Iran, Cuba, Venezuela -- these countries are tiny compared to the Soviet Union. They DONT pose a serious threat to us! They DONT pose a serious threat to us. They DONT pose a serious threat to us!

          TWO Days later . . .

OBAMA WORDS: Iran is a GREAT threat! Iran is a GREAT threat, REALLY! Iran is a GREAT threat, I am not kidd???n here!

WHAT does Obama really believe????? What are we supposed to think if he tells us words DO matter.

I find it fascinating that Obama now brings in religion. In light that he is the most liberal democrat in the senate, I find it fascinating that there is a religious bone in his body. His belief in abortion, particularly in late term abortions, leaves me concluding that his religious rhetoric is just that - a bunch of smoke and mirrors. There is no way a christian could be so prone to such diabolical torture. Were a sick society, we want the rights of animals, and the trees - but could care less about the human offspring. Ever witness or know of the details of a late term abortion? If you don't check it out - you will conclude that we are a sick society. Obama isn't going to make that any better.

The next thing we will be hearing from Obama is that he agrees after all that the US should have attacked Iraq. Just wait and see. He won't admit that he was wrong. He will call it a repostiioning on his stand on Iraq.

    • Posted By: the-commish @ 07/06/2008 11:09:30 PM

Obama won''t admit that he was wrong!

You just gave the definition of George W. Bush!

  • Posted By: lillea @ 07/05/2008 11:11:09 AM

Obama is just another politician. He promises everything to everyone just like the rest of them. These politicians can't fulfill all these promises. But they will say whatever they need to in order to get votes. The funny thing is that we are so vulnerable. We actually believe what they say.

    • Posted By: Bass Pro @ 07/05/2008 12:00:48 PM

Not much to argue with there. When's the last time we all agreed on a candidate? The bottom line is that Barack obama is not another Bush, McCain is where it matters. Just because he's a little greener doesn't negate the fact that he's willing to sacrifice young men and women in iraq just to gain the support of the right wing out of date mouth-breathers. bella12

Obama is a vital part of the corrupt Chicago political scene. He purposed surrounded himself with some of the most corrupt people in Chicago. How in THE WORLD could he be called "a" messiah???? He is borderline criminal. He could even be indicted for crimes before Nov. He's just a street smart criminal who has dooped so many innocent people into thinking that he actually could make this a better country. All he could do is to destroy America as we know it.

    • Posted By: the-commish @ 07/06/2008 10:56:02 PM

You're a little late there, lillea!

G.W. Bush has already accomplished that.

Barack Obama worshiped in an anti-Semitic, anti-Caucasian, racist church for twenty years. No CREDIBLE Christian would ever vote for this fool, period.

Those soldiers volunteered, unlike most of those in Viet Nam. Like police officers and firefighters join up knowing full well what they are getting into.. Get a clue.

    • Posted By: firetheprincipal @ 07/06/2008 2:38:41 PM

You better get the clue buddy boy, your time is up here. Your feeble mind and lack of inteligence shows.

        LMAO

    • Posted By: Bass Pro @ 07/06/2008 2:30:41 PM

Would you volunteer for a mission if you knew the mission was immoral. a mission cooked up by Bush/Cheney/Rice/Powell and Rumsfeld using phony evidence to gain support for the invasion of Iraq. Well of course you don't have that to worry about do you/? As long as someone else does the dying for you what do you care. As long as you mouth-breathing 23%ers get you man elected, what's a few thousand dead young women and men?

Since you mentioned Nam, John mcCain declared that there were no MIAs left behind in Nam alive. how in the hell could he make a statement like that? what happened to the Always Faithful and no man left behind pledge we all made when we joined?

Try asking a Policeman or a Fire Fighter to enter a dangerous situation after you've made it clear to them that you were the one who created. And by the way you ignoramus, there are many Nam Vets who volunteered and gave their lives. .

The term Holy Roller denotes a religious person of fundamental persuasion. We sinners all admire a religious person for his high ideals and virtuous ways. He is the kind of person that we wish our government to fund for the benefit of our citizens. I am sure that President Obama will send some of our tax dollars to our friend Holy Roller to spend as he deems fit for the benefit of his needy parishioners. We admire you, Holy Roller, and we aspire to attain your degree of virtue. Please continue to instruct us in this free medium of exchange. We are grateful for your guidance.

So your for the faith based charities, initiative plans, huh. Me too, but only with restrictions. NO mohammed charities. They just take these messed up druggies, that go for rehab, and turn them into suicide bombers. Mark my words. The already do it with the mentally challenged, in Iraq. They would continue the program here. With our taxpayers dollars, to fund it. Think I'm completely kidding??? What about the elite mohammed K-12 school in Virginia??? Seems their textbooks, teach killing non-muslims, and persecution of Jews, as acceptable behavior. What do you think???

Oh, BTW....I'd exclude the Trinity Temple of Hell. also.

WOW!!! Still no changes, huh? I would think polling after the most patriotic of America's patriotic celebrations would have given McCain a certain boost.

"Democratic candidate Barack Obama continues to maintain a slim margin over Republican John McCain, 48% to 42%, according to Gallup Poll Daily tracking conducted July 2-3 and July 5. Today's three-day rolling average is based on interviewing conducted in the two days before the July 4 holiday, July 2-3, and Saturday, July 5."

    Sunday, July 06, 2008
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows Barack Obama attracting 47% of the vote while John McCain earns 40%. When "leaners" are included, Obama leads 49% to 44%.

    RCP Average = 5.8+OBAMA

Electoral College: 238 OBAMA to 163 McCain

Seems that McCain doesn't own the "patriotism" label as he'd hoped........

KB....when it comes to the polls, you are the, go to guy. Your numbers are directly quoted, and always reliable. Good job, and usually good posts. Well I admit, you always have good posts.

You do have a problem with your info, though. It is missing a valuable piece of information. It's missing the most accurate and reliable poll. The poll that's, the mother of all polls. The HolyRoller Poll. You left it out. It's America's voice, poll. The Inside Edition poll. The real deal poll. Not to worry though. Since you didn't mention it, I'll help you out, and post its most recent findings.

LIKELY Voters..........American Hero John McCain- 67% Mohammed Messiah, B. Hussein Obama-29%

Most trustworthy...... American Hero John McCain-91% Tony Rezko's Buddy, B. Hussein Obama- 9%

Want to drill in the U.S. for oil, NOW??........Yes-94% No-6% (there's always a few idiots, incl. in the poll)

Believe Jeremiah Wright's spiritual disciple, B. Hussein Obama is a Crook and a Fraud???......Yes100% No-0% (even the idiots knew that)

K.B., I'm sure your grateful for the info, but think nothing of it. I enjoy helping others, in times of need. So take care. Hope you had a great 4th. And feel free to call on me for help, anytime.

Aww, your middle sister is nice, come on......she loves you and that's what matters. I can tell you're the eldest child, you seem to be very confident and in control here.

Hi Pia, I wish I was at a picnic today. The weather has been rainy, thunderstorms, 4 days straight off and on each day. So the big family picnic blowout was pushed off until next weekend. You know how NE weather is, very unpredictable. I should say the same to you. . . did you make it to a picnic today? Yeah, my sis is like'able enough, lol, same with my younger brother. They had it way much easier than I did though as my parents were protective of me but harder on me to set as an example. But thanks, I think I turned out pretty good given all that. Actually had a great childhood growing up in a Cape house on a lake where we had many, many picnics pool parties and fishing contests with family and friends. Hope all is well on your end. Enjoy what I hope you will have (no work right?) an extended long weekend. - Sharenews : - D

Sorry you had to postpone your family picnic because of all the T-storms we are having here in the NE. Have a fabulous one next weekend. Enjoy! No rain predicted as of yet.

I too am the oldest Sharenews so I feel your pain. After being the little princess for 5 years my mother had the audacity to have another child without consulting me. When she brought my brother home she said I told her "Take him back!" some relatives said i wanted a sister instead of a brother- doubt it, why would i want to share my kingdom?" Some other relatives said i told them i wanted a puppy instead...i'm more likely believe that one. My brother and i get allong fine now despite the fact we were horrible to each other as we grew up.

          • Posted By: sharenews @ 07/04/2008 4:27:36 PM

Boy, you got that right. My sister and I used to roll on the floor tugging at each others hair, ears, whatever we could grab and my mother would have to pry us from each other. LOL. I was not only the eldest but my mother had 3 miscarraiges. So they bought a parakeet that my mother catered to keep her mind off having children so badly. It worked - I was born and spoiled to death. Unfortunately the parakeet died shortly after I ws born, probably of a broken heart as my mom did not spend tas much time with the bird as much. At least that was a story told to me. But yes, my sister and I are okay in our elder years. At least I have not grabbed her hair and pushed her up against the wall in 20 yrs. Hahahahahahaha

WHAT IS McCAIN's MESSAGE. IS HIS MESSAGE THE SAME AS THE CURRENT PRESIDENT.

IF McCAIN's MESSAGE AND AGENDA are DIFFERENT THEN WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES.

I THINK THE REPUBLICAN BASE IS NOT REALLY SURE WHAT McCAIN's MESSAGE IS EITHER.

McCAIN is going to lose four states that traditionally have been REPBULICAN strongholds.

OBAMA HAS A MESSAGE and McCAIN HAS NONE.

Obamas message is: Keep drinking that kool-aide so you can continue to hope that I will make changes that you have blind faith in, without substance behind it.

Centrisim, Triangualation. Anyone who wants to be President has to understand these concepts. We will pull out of Iraq when OBAMA takes the Presidency. However, every President has to listen to those "in charge" of the war before any Military decisions are made. THOSE IN CHARGE OF THE WAR HAve already started to build A HUNDRED YEAR FOUNDATION in IRAQ. McCAIN INTENDS TO FINISH THE JOB.
THOSE IN CHARGE OF THE WAR HAVE ECONOMIC INTERESTS IN IRAQ. THEY WILL MAKE IT VERY DIFFICULT FOR THE NEXT PRESIDENT TO PULL OUR TROOPS OUT.

OBAMA IS ALREADY ACTING LIKE AN EXPERIENCED PRESIDENT.
People need to understand a UNIVERSAL LAW
    NOTHING IS CONSTANT
THINGS ARE ALWAYS CHANGING. IT IS PART OF HUMAN EVOLUTION.

What a wild July 4th weekend. Gas is too high, so all of the drunk drivers stayed home and tried BWI. Blogging While Drunk. Just a little different, but not much, from the sober weekday blogging. Nice free read. And a good mix. Religion and drunk congregants.

Hi Olderwiser, signing off but if you recognized the style, it's me bella12. Long story short new computer and Newsweek made me change my handle. Couldn't figure how to use my old name and gave up. what could be more appropriate than a fishing referrence. My pug bella is a little upset.
