Climate Change Clouds

When it comes to international proposals to deal with global warming, Bush's favorite word is "No." Will that change at Hokkaido's G8 summit?

As far as promoting 50% reduction in GHG emissions by 2050..... that goal is so far away that it really does not matter. Does this mean 20 more years of emissions increases, then a cut back? We need a timeline, with binding global reductions that start out slowly with further reductions in the middle, and then slower reductions towards the end: As we start using current technology to eliminate the "low-hanging fruit," we can start eliminating some of the GHG emissions growth. Then as this technology becomes less expensive and newer technology comes online, more emissions can be eliminated faster (thus the steep decline, say from 2020-2030), and then towards the end (2040-2050), the tougher sources can be eliminated.

Setting one goal out 42 years will achieve absolutely nothing besides making the politicians look good, and even a that, it fails.

Bush and GOP will not do a thing about the Oil Crisis until they have the Off-shore Drilling issue settled in their favor.

Bush and Grand Oil Party want the crisis to deepen so that the people and Congress completely surrender and get flattened and beg for the Off-SHore Drilling.

The bush in the Whitehouse and tha GOPers are capitalizing yet in another way from the hardship and suffering of the people.

The bush in the Whitehouse and the long dick came to this world to raise the suffering of human beings to the unbearable levels, worse than in the hell where they came from.
