I live in Florida and do not recall MY vote being counted....

It seems that most comments here are bent on demonizing Sen. Obama. When you can't run on your own unpopular platform or failed policies than you attack your opponent's character. Karl Rove has left a lasting legacy in the republican ranks: mean-spirited character assasination.

The issue of flip-flopping and shifting to the middle will pale in comparison to Obama's connections. Around most of America, east coast, west coast and midwest....this man is being viewed as a phony....the most extreme left wing candidate we have ever had to this point....but with a nice smile.
Obama's "close 20 year relationship" with a bigot named Reverand Wright is being discussed at the water cooler by Americans every day more and more. And that reverand's "close relationship" with one of America's biggest racists, Louis Farrakhan, who was given a lifetime achievement award by Obama's church. (hello?). Birds of a Feather, folks.. Most of America is starting to figure it out. Especially Hillary fans and Jewish voters.
Remember, this is the same nation that re-elected a very unpopular George Bush only 3 1/2 years ago during an unpopular war. Also remember that Kerry led Bush 51%-44% in July....and he lost. And now....at only 46%-44%....the Obama Fever Gap is wearing off fast.
- John McCain will win this election.

IF ANYONE HAD READ KENNEDY'S SPEECHES, THEY WOULD REALIZE THAT HE HAD A GREAT DEAL OF SUBSTANCE, ELEQUENCE AND ORIGINALITY IN HIS WORDS.

OBAMA is a copycat that changes his ideals and plans to attact voters. He is a phony. Is he willing to give up his salary as did JFK?

It is important to note that the evidence is overwhelming that Martin Luther King was a Communist.

Fist you have the numerous examples of him dismissing as trivial the crimes against humanity committed by Communist Regimes. And secondly you have that undisputable fact that he received the vast majority of his funding and advice from a group of Radical New Yorkers who also just happened to be concurrently funding the American Communist Party.

If you want to like MLK and what he did to the Country, go ahead Alter, but don???t try to sneakily imply that MLK wasn???t actually a Communist. He was one and the Conservatives like Jesse Helms who called him on it were nobly and courageously speaking the truth..

Obama's key policies and goals are very consistent. Always remember, startegies may change from time to time to meet the overall goals.

Last fall, Obama's spokesman, Bill Burton was unambiguous. "To be clear: Barack will support a filibuster of any bill that includes retroactive immunity for telecommunications companies."

So how did he filabuster today??? He voted YES. Crook and a Fraud.

I watched Obama's speech the night he clinched the nomination and it was very powerful, even without the comparison to McCain's green screen speech. I think the speech in the stadium is a great idea. I just wish the comparisons to JFK and MLK and RFK would cease and I dont even think I need to say why. I know the 60's were another time, but I am still scared to death. Obama has a real chance to make a difference and I hope it happens.

obama depends on the romantic / nostalgic emotions associated with all these historical figures. read the other article about his attempted Brandenburg gate appearance. he attempts to make a strronger association and be portrayed as a leader.

He is a great showman but showman such as this belong in the entertainment industry as the job he applies for has much more non romantic non idealistic duties. his recent response to the iranian missle launch demonstrates his naivete. he advocates talks with the iranians yet this was just their objective as they are now getting backed into the corner where negotiation will no longer be possible. much the same as the chamberlain-hitler affair of ww2.

he is all show and no go. we would be the naive ones to elect this all show candidate.
