Hopefully this is a short-lived explosive fad. The sooner it dies the sooner we can all move on from our sense of attention-entitlement. Quitting Facebook is the best thing I ever did for my social life, and I refuse to join Twitter.

$100 million in value? But no-one ever explained how they make money.

We don't care. And anyone who has been seriously sucked into this virtual spy game with friends is whacked and needs to unplug now. Spying on my friends activities online has all of the appeal of being a Peeping Tom, the lowest of the low. The thrill is in not letting them know that you are spying online. I thought spying was relegated to enemies not friends. Glad I'm not on your list.
