Dems are SO divided, and it is no wonder. Obama is being treated as an untouchable star. He is nothing but an empty vessel to be used any way that the Dems need just to get a Dem Pres. He can't even state his own apologies or acceptance of apologies. Spokes people do all his speaking. Apparently, they don't think he has the smarts to talk for himself.

I admire Obama for the frank, honest comments he has about society. He's right: fathers, not just blacks, need to take more of an interest in their children and provide for them. How many single mothers of ALL races do we see these days, struggling to make ends meet? Sure, they have a part in their situation, but so many men up and leave or only half-heartedly participate in their childrens' lives. Obama encourages young black men to seek and education and be a productive member of society--noting that they're not gonna be the next big rapper or sports star. Only by honest, open discussion like what he promotes will we have have true acceptance and change for the better in this country. Jesse Jackson just wants to stir things up and see ill will in Obama's comments where there is none. His crude comments show him for exactly what he is--low class.

Black votes are not for the GOP, express-talk???? Sound like discrimination to me. And staying in the center of issues is just a limp weak leader afraid to take a stand.

Obama isn't only talking about black men as fathers......he is talking about ALL fathers, and he is correct. How many single parents are there? Men have to take more responsibility for their OWN actions. BRAVO!

Help or not help. Who knows? If nothing else, it is a testament that Obama is challenging a lot of old politics and IT IS TIME. Black, Brown, White, Yellow, we should all be happy about that. As for Jackson. He has played the game over the years not always as the altruistic politician and not always above board. I hope he gets all the grief he has given over the years to those who have "misspoke." Can he take what he has given? I never liked him but have respected his positions most often. In my estimation he has taken a big fall. He, like Bill, should just shut up for once.

Jesse is a product of them mainstream media. He ran because he knew that the mainstream media would "crown" him the so-called leader of black America. Most blacks today do not have a sense of endless victimhood. Only the so-called leaders of the civil rights movement have this feeling because it is how they make their living. Keeping black Americans feeling helpless is the way they keep their power. Obama is a product of the new black movement. The one where "you" take responsiblilty for your actions. The movement where we teach our children not to act like victims, but to act like men and women, as active partisipants in the American dream. We teach our children that the words "colored only", "go to the back of the bus", calling a grown man "boy", a grown woman "girl", ect. are a part of American history that they do not have to repeat. So all I can say is "good-by Jesse and I hope you get a pair of your own and not need a transplant from a real black man".

Thirty years ago, Jessie Jackson was an electric speaker and inspired millions of young people of all colors and faiths. Today, he has become irrelevant, so he really needs to be quiet. Stick a sock in it, Jessie. "The times they are achangin'".
