Oh, and the Rasmussin Reports have McCain and Obama in a dead heat too.

  • Posted By: Pat S @ 07/12/2008 9:21:19 AM

Newsweek conveniently puts a "donate to Obama" link next to the article. And Obama has a donate to Hilliary fundraiser. Where can I find Obama's "donate to people who will not be able to afford oil to heat their homes this winter" link? Where is Obama's "donate to helpe people who can not afford their prescriptions" link. Newsweek is looking out for Obama. Obama is looking out for Hilliary. Who is looking out for We The People?

Obama is a hand-picked candidate by Kerry (2004 Democratic convention), Kennedy, Brzezinski, Daschle, Hart, John Rockefeller, Pelosi and other neoliberal Democrats.

He was educated under the Kennedy dumbed down educational system, so he is a perfect neoliberal PUPPET. He does as he is told. But, when they give him too much information of their plan, he "misspeaks".

The American "kids need to learn Spanish". (Didn't know why he shouldn't say that.)
The Midwest people "are bitter" "gun loving" "Bible toting" against people who do not look like them.
"It's not that the price of gas is so high". The problem is that it increased so sharply. "...I think I would have preferred a gradual readjustment." (So the public wouldn't have noticed.)

Unless Obama is completely scripted with a teleprompter, he says more than his puppetmasters want him to say.

Do you really want the same neoliberals who started our economic demise running and ruining our American even more?

Newsweek's polling isn't credible. Results are consistently outliers -- way too high or way too low. This is journalistic masturbation -- a periodical making itself into "news" instead of reporting it.

  • Posted By: mhopgood123 @ 07/12/2008 9:11:50 AM

This is just Newsweek's poll. In many other battleground polls(where it matters) Obama is ahead 5 and 6 points. In red states like Arizona Obama is even ahead. SO which poll do you believe?

  • Posted By: Newport Mike @ 07/12/2008 9:11:41 AM

Newsweek: your latest 2008 election poll is fatally flawed---Princeton notes difference with previous poll may be due to "sampling error"---you bet it is ! They show % Republicans = % Democrats--no way. Multi polls & registration stats. show Dems with up to 10% advantage. Item #2: your poll shows 44% of voters are over 60 years old--again a gross over statement! ---The margin of error is at least 10% higher.. Get a new pollster.

    The Cream always rises eventually......Always.

Imagine, if you will.... that if the Dems managed to focus, and put forth their best efforts at winning, John McCain might actually be 20 points BEHIND Hillary.

Now Obama wants to give ANOTHER grand "Whatever -you-call-it", Grandiose "Dare-to-hope-for-Socialism", speech in Berlin of all places.

Many Germans actually UNDERSTAND the moral Hazard's of wealth redistribution........

Are their no limits to his arrogance?

It seems all to predictable, for a man who thinks there are 57 states in the U.S.....You need to count COOK COUNTY, PUERTO RICO, WASHINGTON D.C., GUAM, and GITMO. In order to come up with that number.....Therefore it's not such a reach for him....I guess.

He does not belong at the Brandenburg Gate.

Arrogance is the surest way of dropping in the polls. If left unchecked, he may lose all but a few states.

Obama is just trying to conjure up JFK's ghost by following in his footsteps. Too bad Obama couldn't be a leader in his own right considering that he is running for leader of the free world. Ich Bin Ein Copycat?

That's a nice little story, but sometimes it is more like the wealthy daughter has all her tuition, books, housing, etc paid for by her family (if they have the means, why not) while the roommate has to work 30 - 40 hours per week to pay her own way. It is true some people in a tough economic situation could work harder and are at least partially responsible for their own mess, but many others are in that position through circumstances beyond their control.

You can say you don't think government is the solution, and we can agree to disagree on that point, but to write off all poor people as lazy is just insensitive.

    • Posted By: martvol @ 07/12/2008 8:57:49 AM

To ease your mind. I am "poor" At least money wise. 5 kids, wife( of coarse), 3 years left on mortgage, and work two jobs so the wife can be at home with the kids. Don't own a car newer then 1997. I made less then 45,000 last year. Kids are fed, bills are paid, and we still have a little left over for vacation. No, I'm not college educated. The wife is. I'll take care of me and mine. I wont be asking you for anything. And i don't want to be asked for anything.

Obama has declined but not as much as Newsweek would have you believe. Your figures that showed him ahead 15 points was ridiculous and just another Newsweek campaign ad for Obama. Guess you got enough ridicule to change your figures this month.

    • Posted By: Jill from Florida @ 07/12/2008 8:56:31 AM

Or, more likely, Obama was never ahead by so much as 15 points.
This time the polls were able to contact the working people.

Hussein Obama loves America. Like O.J. loved Nicole.

  • Posted By: NoExcusesInAtlanta @ 07/12/2008 7:42:40 AM

The ONLY way Obama can be certain that he will prevail in November is to put Hillary on the ticket. Otherwise, this Democrat - and millions of others - will be voting for McCain.

    • Posted By: HolyRoller @ 07/12/2008 8:53:27 AM

Good for you. He will never put Sen. Clinton, on the ticket. He wants someone much less important. It might take some of his spotlight. I think (hope), he chooses Dodd. It could get really funny.

My Kids live in Georgia and are Democrats. Your vote and theirs as Democrats have never counted in the General election. Georgia is a RED state. You know RED as in RED NECK.

I would rather he just lose on his own. He could be the worst alternative ever, and put our country in worse economic turmoil.

    • Posted By: willnotvoteobama @ 07/12/2008 7:50:02 AM

i'm not too sure that would even work after all he would still be the top dog now if you turn it around or to coin a phrase flip flop it then it would work well !!

  • Posted By: shallbe @ 07/12/2008 8:50:22 AM

The mainstream media ,pint and television cracks meup, whatever glow Obama had or has is based on him being the darling of the media and that can last a whiile but in the end the truth about a candidate will come out it just takes longer because you have to get the truth on your own by researching other outlets. The glow is already off Obama it just hasnt as of yet caught up with him, but its coming.

Too bad about Tony Snow. He had a great reputation as a news anchor and commentator. He died at a very young age , 53. Too bad he wound up his life and career as a lying spokesman for the gang of 5. that's what he'll be most remembered for. Too bad.

    • Posted By: HolyRoller @ 07/12/2008 8:49:02 AM

It is too bad, about Tony. It's also too bad, a suckerfisher like yourself, is so blinded by the media, and the mohammed messiah's glow.

If you don't mind that, unless you are in the elitist class, our youth will have to compete with all the laid-off US workers and the illegal workers crossing our borders in droves for the low paying jobs, and the more highly educated Asian youth for the higher paying jobs, then continue to vote for the neo Democrats and neo Republicans.

Soon, the only way our youth will be able to make money is by selling drugs. Oh, wait - it's that way already.

If I children learn spanish they will be better able to communicate withy immigrants from China, Vietnam, Poland, etc.
Obama , just another arrogant blame-america politician.

    • Posted By: Bamisasham @ 07/12/2008 7:56:41 AM

I am not sure of your point exactly, but I agree with you on the border issue. Illegal limmigrants should be deported plain and simple. No questions aksed. If you come here legally then learn the language. Stop all the pandering and wasting money on "bilingual" education and such crap.
My grandparents were immigrants on both sides. They came here with nothing and made something of themselves.

      • Posted By: Jill from Florida @ 07/12/2008 8:11:34 AM

My short explanation is that the neoliberal (not true liberal) Democrats are the source of our now economic woes. By policies implemented in the mid 70's, 80's and 90's that exported our manufacturing plants, closed small businesses, opened our borders, lowered our educational standards, imported skilled and unskilled workers (massive #'s of visas) - we are in dire straits. And, these same neoliberals are on the Obama advisory teams.

A dad, a Republican, has a daughter, a Democrat. Dad is well money wise. The daughter is always saying how he should be helping the ones that don't have as much "wealth redistribution". One day the dad started talking to his daughter about college. Asked how she was doing in her classes. "Well," she says," I'm getting straight A's but I study all the time and don't have much of a social life." Her dad thinks for a second and asks how her roommate was doing. "She's barely getting passing grades. She's out half the night partying and never studys." Dad says, " Well since your grades are so good, Why don't you go to the Dean and give her a letter grade of yours?"(Grade redistribution) " But dad," she says," I earned my grades, She could have better grades if she tried." To which dad says,"Welcome to the Republican Party."

    • Posted By: Jill from Florida @ 07/12/2008 8:33:50 AM

Good one. But you made them try to think, so they may not understand it.

      • Posted By: Jill from Florida @ 07/12/2008 8:45:39 AM

You completely lost "selenariley" - see above comment. Somehow she read "partying" and thought you meant "working". Too bad so many Americans have been dumbed down.

  • Posted By: Robert @ 07/12/2008 8:43:03 AM

Hey Newsweek, what's with this "halo" that you always seem to wrap around the Obama's head? We get your biased message and know that you are in the tank for this guy. If he loses the election, I suspect you will have him hanging from a cross, looking up at the heavens saying, "they know not what they do."

Pay attention.... reread the story.......she PARTIED all the time, she wasn't working.

    • Posted By: Jill from Florida @ 07/12/2008 8:42:26 AM

If the roommate was out partying and never studying, HOW do you equate THAT to working 30-40 hours per week? Since when did PARTYING = WORKING?

Did you even read and comprehend Martvol's comment?

  • Posted By: Staggslaw @ 07/12/2008 8:41:00 AM

Haven't you guys figured out yet what a lot of us knew when it was happening? A large number of Independents and Republicans voted for Obama over Hillary to give the Republicans the easier candidate for the Republicans to take on in the fall. A lot of the media did the same thing.
