How can Obama not be down in the polls? He has changed his position an almost every major issue since he won the primaries. How do we know what he will really do if he is elected? Had he held these positions when running against Hillary, the outcome of the primaries may have been different. What a disappointment he has been. Just another pandering politician.

Newsweek polls are very predictable.When Newsweek had Obama up by 12%I predicted the next poll would have Obama down.I was right.I think Newsweek polls are inaccurate.Obama has a solid lead. Of course, a single sentence "Princeton Survey Research Associates, which conducted the poll for NEWSWEEK, says some of the discrepancy between the two most recent polls may be explained by sampling error." wouldn't make a NEWSWEEK-worthy article. Oh, I know - how about a discussion on how NEWSWEEK/Princeton Survey Research Associates' methodology is superior?

During this past week: McCain called the most important entitlement program in the U.S. a disgrace, his top economic adviser called the American people whiners, McCain released an economic plan that no one thought was serious, he flip flopped on Iraq, joked about the deaths of Iranian citizens, and denied making comments that he clearly made -- TWICE. All this and it was only Friday! Yet watching and reading the mainstream press you would think McCain was having a pretty decent political week, I mean at least Jesse Jackson didn't say anything about him.
1. McCain unambiguously called Social Security "an absolute disgrace."
2. McCain's top economic policy adviser (This is the guy that is designing his economic policy) calls Americans a bunch of "whiners" for being worried about the slumping economy
3. Iraqi leaders call for a timetable for U.S. withdrawal, McCain gets caught in a bizarre denial and flip flop.
4. McCain's economic plan to cut the deficit has no details and is simply not believable.
5. McCain's deficit plan includes bringing the troops home represents a major Iraq flip-flop.
6. McCain campaign misled about economists support. Signatures of more than 300 economists who the campaign claimed to support the plan. Only problem is that the economists were actually asked to sign up to SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. Um, hello?
7. McCain makes a joke about killing Iranians.
8. McCain denies, flatly, that he ever said that he is not an expert in economics. Are you kidding?
9). McCain distorts his record on veterans benefits in response to a question from Vietnam Veteran, who then proceeds to call McCain out on it.
10.) McCain demonstrates he knows nothing about Afghanistan and Pakistan.-

The MSM is nothing more than a pack of liberals. Their left wing bias is not only well know but proven (Pew Research, for one).
America has become a nation of whiners. Not as bad as the Europeans ( my Dutch friends say), but still the media and the left wing liberals encourage whining in order to us pessimism to take over the govt.
McCain's Plans to cut spending and pork and balance the budget is probably the best of his plans and projects. If the President's tax cuts are allowed to expire taxes will increase approx. $2,000 for the avg family of four. There's something you missed in your post.
Your vague slanderous statements are really nothing compared to the empty suited O'bamas support from the left wing kook fringe and George Soros. The feeble attempts you left wing operatives make to slander McCain just don't work. The worst things about him are the things that libs and Dems support: Amnesty for illegals, High taxes to erase guilt for so-called man made Global Warming ( a hoax), compromising conservative principles to "work with Democrats", etc...

If Obama did attend Muslim schools, what's it to you? There is no law in the US Constitution as to what religion the president of the US must practice. You can't confirm he really is Muslim though so you are only grasping at straws, but we can all confirm he is black, just look at him. You are afraid of Obama becoming president because he's black. Admit it, why beat around the bush with the Muslim argument?

I think the way they are polling is on purpose to keep this looking like a tight race so that when they steal another election People won't wonder how it could have happened. There is no way that Mccain can have that much support, People are sick of what this Republican Administration, of which Mccain is part, have done to our Nation.

Also, if Mich and even Fla cared the least bit about having their votes counted, the voters who had been informed of their states being disqualified could have and should have done something, file a complaint, anything, but they didn't. Had there been an outcry then, they wouldn't have cried foul afterwards. Both states are to blame. Stop blaming and accusing Obama because it's not only unjust, it's untrue. This issue is over and done with anyway, why bring it up again?

Sharenew, don't play the naive role, you know very well that Michigan was disqualified and all the candidates ncluding Hillary agreed that the votes would not count. Having to share with Obama was the only fair way to go about it and you know it. You will never admit it though.

McCains military service does not qualify him for President either. It does show a depth of charactor, and knowledge of Military matters, related to Foreign Policy.
But what does qualify him is 26 years in Congress.
Again Obama less than 6 months? McCain 26 years.
